i'm really sorry about all of this

Things I love about the earlier version of In The Heights (from 2000, at Wesleyan University) that didn’t make it to the final musical:

  • Lincoln Rosario. Obviously.
  • “Welcome home, we haven’t seen you since Jesus knows when. You’re not alone.”
  • “All the neighborhood is dancing and it’s following my lead.”
  • “No me meto. No me meto. I’d like to help you out, no doubt, pero no puedo.”
  • Alma. That’s Benny’s mom. I’m really happy about how Benny’s plot changed and I get why she isn’t in the actual musical but she was such a good character.
  • “DJ you can’t go wrong, just play a latin song.”
  • In fact all about “Who is he?” is gold.
  • “There’s something out here for me, I haven’t found it. It’s strange, we’re only lonely when we’re totally surrounded.”
  • How clear Carla’s and Daniela’s verses during Blackout sound. I think Daniela’s part was sung by Alma then. Either way, they are so good and you can’t always hear them that well in the official version.
  • That little conversation between Nina and Vanessa during Blackout.
  • My Fire Escape. Both the original one and that later version for Nina are so beautiful.
  • “I’m hotter than I’ve ever been.” “Got that right.” So very smooth, Benny.
  • I Can’t Go Back is too good for me to choose one quote. Not to mention the ‘rewind tonight’.
  • “Don’t speak, just be/patient with me.” Benny’s entire verse there, tbh.
  • “Love isn’t something you feel for an hour or realize the night before. Love is a lifetime of hoping and wanting for someone, that someone, and praying to God up in heaven above, and waiting for kindness from your secret love.”
  • Vanessa calling Nina during Finale. That broke my heart.
  • “And in the height of all my pain, I remain, my heart remains.” “In Washington Heights!”

Bakugou's voice cracking in the new episode cracked my own heart... ;;;

Bakugou crying will always make me cry too, that’s just a set rule of this universe (;;) terribly enough tho today I’m not the best person to have a feels fest with cause, uh, actually I spent most of the episode being annoyed at the way the fight and most of Bakugou’s moods were being adapted so hahahHAHAHA

Your two complicated sons

Sure, the bedroom scene is #iconique, but can we talk about how Keith gives Lance the softest look ever in the middle of a f i g h t??

A subtle reminder that Rob is the father in real life [for added effect]

The stages of saying ❝I love you❞ (Alec Version)

[read from right to left!]

AAAAH first of all, sorry for replying so late! The thing is that i can’t really see them having babies since being a hero is not easy stuff, but i was talking about a fusion between Bakugou and Uraraka’s quirks with  @marxlene and this is how this kacchako daughter was born (along with Kirimina chidren too). I guess things went a little bit overboard.

So yeah this is how Kamiko discovered her quirk!
She can touch things but instead of making them float, they become bombs that she can make explode whenever she wants, pretty cool huh?

So like. The idea that Bran can see freaking everything that’s ever happened or will happen really makes me laugh because yeah in the show it’s all about him knowing what the characters are doing or Jon’s parentage but think about it, Bran sees so far into the future that he probably knows what fucking airplanes are. He’s probably said the words “why don’t you email it” to someone before going “oh, sorry, that isn’t in your lifetime”.  Bran knows what a fucking Walmart is. He knows every shit meme out there. Bran Stark knows

  • Lance: All I want is a hug. Just... a hug from anyone.
  • Hunk: *opens arms* C'mon, buddy.
  • Lance: Uhh, sorry, Hunk, but I'll pass.
  • Shiro: *raises an eyebrow and opens arms*
  • Lance: Sorry, but I'm not really sure about your identity right now, Shiro.
  • Pidge: NO.
  • Lance: YES. I mean, yes to 'no.'
  • Allura: *opens arms* I'm going to make this one exception, Lance.
  • Lance: Maybe later?
  • Coran: *opens arms* Come here, my boy!
  • Lance: Also later.
  • Everyone except Lance: *looks at Keith*
  • Keith, grumbling: *rolls eyes and reluctantly opens arms* Fine.

ok, so this might be a kinda weird question but why do you think that Oikawa treats Yahaba differently than the way he treated Kageyama? since it seems like Yahaba has quite a bit of respect for him meaning that Oikawa probably treats him decently at the very least and yet he /is/ a rival setter. so like, did Oikawa treat Kageyama the way he did bc of his overwhelming abilities, or does he treat Yahaba differently bc he might feel guilty about how he treated Kageyama? thoughts?

I think Oikawa treats Yahaba differently because he’s not afraid of him.

Their relationship is really fascinating to me, because both Yahaba and Kageyama have the same admiration for Oikawa, but two opposite relationships with him. I don’t think Oikawa ever felt or will feel guilty for the way he treated Kageyama, because when it comes to him Oikawa goes completely irrational, all his emotions take over his heart and brain, blinding him. Oikawa knows his days as the best setter are numbered and that Kageyama will surpass him in the long run, but he isn’t able to accept this faith, while recognizing how inevitable it is. He just tried to slow down the process in every way he could.

On the other hand, Yahaba will be a good setter and a respected captain, but not as good and as respected as Oikawa is/was. Oikawa choose him as his heir and he does treat him significantly different from the others (he’s one of the few people he doesn’t use a nickname with, he’s just “Yahaba”). I’d love to see more of their interactions but I’m sure that Oikawa never held back with him, teaching him everything he knew because he wanted to leave Seijoh in good hands, of course, but mostly because no matter how much Yahaba is exposed to him, he’ll never, ever, surpass him.

If you think about it, we have Haikyuu as we know it only because Oikawa treated Kageyama the way he did. If Oikawa treated Kageyama the same way he did with Yahaba, the scarred and emotionally bruised Kageyama that we know never would’ve existed, he’d be already Oikawa’s perfect successor and Seijoh’s new captain. Oikawa was the one triggering all the chain of events that led Kageyama to join Karasuno, to meet Hinata and well…we know the rest.

So yeah, thank you Oikawa, I guess.

Last Chapter Update

Whoo. My week has been packed and I am very tired and ouchy. I also just spent the last hour and a half doing some major Home organizing and crunched  some numbers according to my plot outline:

There are 57 drawings remaining; 27 of those are absolutely essential and must be included in the last chapter. I just counted my drawings and I have 30 (almost 31!) finished.

Which brings us back to my original claim back in August that the last chapter would have 60 drawings (31+27 = close enough). The drawings that aren’t essential would be adorable and funny, but I think I will have to omit them since… Since I don’t want to post the last chapter in 2021.

Soooooo according to my calculations, since it takes me about 4 days (14-24 solid hours) to complete one drawing, it will take me 108 days to finish the last essential 27…. AKA, 3.5 months. Factoring in family dinners and other distractions, I’ll round up to four months. So…

New estimate: Chapter 18 will be posted in late June.

A few have already started proclaiming their disapproval/lost interest due to the time I’ve spent already. I really want you, my beautiful and kind readers, to know that it pains me dearly to delay the last chapter as long as I am, but I’m adamant about ending Home right. These drawings are very warm, colorful and detailed, and it will wrap up everything in the best, fuzziest, happiest way.

Thank you for your endless patience ♥
