i'm pretty not okay

Things I love about troll hunters: The way they exaggerate being at the dentist’s like

Toby had to be there for two days, which Jim pointed out

but my absolute favorite one is when Strickler goes to the dentist like

it’s obviously daytime right and i think it’s like 3-4 right now when Jim  goes to get the ring off Strickler

AND THEN WHEN IT CUTS BACK TO STRICKER

AND ITS NIGHT ALREADY AND SINCE IT SEEMS LIKE IT’S SPRING OUT HE HAD TO BEEN THERE FOR WHAT

4+ HOURS JESUS

I’M 60% SURE IT WAS JUST A CLEANING TOO. GOD THIS DETAIL IS JUST HILARIOUS TO ME

I want to tell you a thousand things. Sorry for scaring you. Sorry for hurting you. Sorry for not telling you that I’m bipolar. I was afraid of losing you. I’d forgotten that it’s not possible to lose someone, that all people are alone anyway. In a different place in the universe we are together for all eternity, remember that. Love you. Even.

[voluntarily flings self into the pits of Voltron hell]

I have accepted my fate.

[edit: made some minor adjustments to the anatomy - and now i must sleep for 16 hours *passes out*]

Okay I am really sick and tired of people complaining about how mean Lance is to Keith, and I’m here to remind you that Keith is just as willing of a participant in their banters! Not to mention, Keith says mean things to Lance without being provoked either! For example

  • “We could toss out some nonessential weight” said to Lance specifically in the first episode
  • “YOU ARE THE WORST PILOT EVER”
  • purposely misleading Lance in the invisible maze.
  • “I’M NOT SCARED!!!” as he does the same thing as Lance, and also goes faster because he wants in to the competition too
  • “What’s that? I-I can’t hear you, you’re cutting off!” aka Keith being a little shit for fun
  • “The amount of information in your brain could be stored in a paper airplane” Keith insults Lance without provocation. Hell, Lance didn’t even talk to Keith thus far in that scenario, it was Keith that initiated the banter
  • The entirety of the elevator/pool scene. Keith was rude to Lance when Lance didn’t do anything

Also have you guys seen teenage boys bantering? That’s what they do. There’s really no real venom to their words. Not to mention Keith and Lance have many instances of getting along well. Plus Keith is pretty rude to everyone at one point. He says a lot of mean things to Pidge as well.

Plus, Lance also engages in similar banter with Hunk and Pidge. Pidge makes waaay more cruel remarks to Lance and everyone else yet I don’t see y’all hating on her. Only being happy at how “sassy” she is. Stop right there. Enough with the colourism. If you’re gonna blame Lance for being mean to Keith, you also better blame Keith and Pidge for being mean to Lance as well.

That’s definitely not the first thing that should have come to mind, Kuroo

(tho it looks like no one really minds

aside from bokuto that is)

It’s okay to be slow when you’re making art.

So I kind of wanted to make a post about this.

I know some of you look around, and you see all these artists making such beautiful art in time spans of like an hour or a few hours, and then you look at your work and you get so demoralized because you’re taking so long.

I’m here to tell you that that’s perfectly okay. You’re not other artists. You are you, and your work defines you. If you need to take 10 hours, or even days to complete your art piece, it is okay, because it’s yours. You’re doing your best to make your art what you want it to be, and just because you can’t do it in a few hours like other artists do, it doesn’t make the value of your work any less. In fact, your patience and perseverance is absolutely admirable.

Take your time. You’re using your hands to create something that you love. Don’t let the people around you that you see hinder that in any way. You will definitely get faster in time, but if you give up now, thinking that you’ll always be this slow when you make art, you’ll never reach that stage. This applies not only to art, but also to other skills that you’re trying to pick up.

So look at what you yourself are doing, instead of looking around at others. Don’t worry too much, and enjoy yourself in the process of creation and learning! :)

Shiro canonically being six and a quarter years old is the best news I’ve heard this entire year.

okay, but listen, you know what really gets me?

barely a year ago, if jack had been injured mid-game, he would have brooded about it for the rest of the day. he would have berated himself for not being more careful, for not being quicker, for not being strong enough to just wipe off the blood and finish the play. after surgery, he would have retreated to his dark, empty room and put his head between his knees, gritting his teeth and trying to ignore the hot pulsing of the freshly-stitched wound under his jaw, the voice drilling outward from the center of his forehead: be better, be better, be better

but now? He has Bitty.

He has Bitty, and Jack comes home with his phone already tucked under his ear, the top buttons of his shirt pulled loose, his jacket slung comfortably over his forearm. He turns on the lights. “I mean, I could’ve gone back into the game, Bits,” he says, and he says it with an easy smile, says it without thinking I’m ashamed that I didn’t.

It’s not to say that his neck has stopped aching, or that his skin has stopped feeling stiff and raw and sore. “I’m pretty lucky, it could’ve been a tooth. Teeth,” he teases, just to hear Bitty fuss on the other side of the line, and in response Jack smiles enough to make his stitches twinge. He opens his lunch box and pulls out Bitty’s post-it, wipes away a stray blotch of jam and smooths out the corner. I’m pretty lucky, he thinks again, when a year ago he would have thought this shouldn’t have happened at all.

A year ago, Jack would have fallen asleep that night to the endless replaying of the roaring crowd and the puck colliding like a missile into his jaw. Now, he falls asleep with the steady, gentle echo of Bitty’s “I love you” nestled beside his ear—and when he dreams, he dreams of tomorrow.
