idk man i think it’d be cool if peridot was actually given the chance to have her limb enhancers back….. and she decided she doesn’t want them anymore. like she has this implied inferiority complex about being a smaller, younger gem on the lower end of the gem hierarchy (possibly with no weapon or natural gem abilities) so felt she had a lot to prove, especially around jasper who obvs has a thing about putting ‘weak’ gems down.

but one day her limb enhancers are (somehow) fished out of ocean, they work, and initially she’s pretty happy about it. she wears them for a little bit but finds she isn’t as comfortable in them as she used to be. not only is it full of now-dated logs that remind her of how she was, but her mindset about small ‘weak’ gems has been changed, and her new friends like her for who she is - she has nothing to prove.

so she removes them and decides she doesn’t need them anymore, metaphor for growing as a person rather than being literally ‘big’, strong in the real way yadda yadda

she can either discard them completely, modify them to be useful in battle on a part-time basis, extract confidential logs that could be of use to the gems against homeworld or aaaaa i think about her limb enhancers mORE THAN I SHOULD

Ok but THE AMOUNT OF DETAIL that’s put on each visual in the ending sequence of YOI is something else, how they focus on such small expressions and movements.

We see Victor and he looks so content and comfortable around Yuuri, and not in his flirty usual self, but more in a way that let’s him genuinly smile, out of pure joy of being with him, the fondness with which they hold each other, and Victor’s smile kind of gives this sense of warmth.

The affection they show comes not only in the way they move around each other… but also in the way their eyes crinkle when laughing or how there no longer seems to be any type of boundaries when it comes to touching, their physical contact seems so natural now, and you can get all this just by looking at the details put in each scene, god JUST LOOK AT YUURI’S AND VICTOR’S SMILE I STILL CAN’T GET OVER IT BECAUSE YOU GET THE SENSE YUURI IS ENJOYING THE MOMENT FROM THE BOTTOM OF HIS HEART.

But then there’s also the beach sequence… AND IT KILLS ME EVERYTIME.

Because we get to see them both running without a care in the world…AND IT JUST MAKES ME THINK ABOUT A YOUNGER VICTOR GOING TO THE BEACH, ALONE, JUST TO DANCE.

AND THEN YEARS LATER BRINGING YUURI TO THAT SAME PLACE AND WANTING NOTHING MORE THAN TO SPEND A DAY FOOLING AROUND WITH HIM, EVEN WHEN HE KNOWS THEY SHOULD BE TRAINING.

I CAN PICTURE VICTOR JUST STARTING TO DANCE, WITH THE SUN ON HIS FACE, AND YUURI BEING KIND OF SHY AT FIRST BUT THEN HE STARTS TO FOLLOW, I CAN SEE THEM BOTH, MINUTES LATER, DANCING TO THEIR HEART’S CONTENT, WITHOUT WORRIES, AND LAUGHING ABOUT HOW SILLY THEY LOOK.

  • Sherlock: Don't think you can win
  • Jim: I don't think i can win, i know I will
  • Sherlock: *glaring at the consulting criminal, arms folded standing up as straight as he can trying to be scary*
  • Jim: *smirking with his hands in his pockets, looking completely relaxed*
  • Sherlock: Molly knows better and will never go out with the likes of you
  • Jim: Molly knows better and will never go for the man who has already broken her heart so many times before. i have a better shot than you and as i'm more attractive you should just give up
  • *their fight is interrupted as Molly and Greg walk out of the hospital together, her arm linked with his and she's smiling at something he's saying and laughing*
  • Sherlock: ....
  • Jim: .....
  • Sherlock: You're not allowed to kill him
  • Jim: *glaring at the couple* i already have a sniper set up
  • Sherlock: we can break them up and break his heart and wouldn't that be a lot more interesting than just killing him
  • Jim: are you suggesting...
  • Sherlock: a truce until Graham is out of the way
  • Jim: only Molly Hooper could drive us to this (and i think it's Greg)
  • Sherlock: She's always the exception
  • *they shake hands as they both look at the couple and think of ways to break them apart*

First I want to say that I'm so grateful for all of your writing. You portrayals of the characters are my favorite, and I find myself enjoying all of your stories, even the ones for couples I don't ship. How much time you put into creating stories for us really means so much, and I want you to know that. Anyway, now that my little rant is out of the way, could I request prompt #19 (things you said when we were the happiest we ever were) for Jerza? (Maybe even written with some fluff?)

This made me laugh more than it should have. XDD

“I don’t deserve you, Erza Scarlet.”

Erza glanced up from his shoulder, her eyes narrow as she studied his expression. Things were going great between them. They were married – finally – and to top it off, they were expecting their first-born child any day now. They were the happiest they’d ever been. So then, why was he stuck in the past? She wanted to save him. She wanted to plunge into the depths of his darkness and drag him out with all her might. That would be impossible, though. They were his demons to fight.

“And who, might I ask, deems my worth?” she asked.

Jellal trailed his fingers into her hair and pulled her tighter against him. It was unusual for them to lay here like this, sprawled out on the couch without a care in the world. Usually, Erza found herself performing any kind of menial task – anything to keep her mind busy and her hands moving. Being pregnant, for lack of a better word, sucked. She hated feeling useless and exhausted. She hated what it was doing to her magic. Every now and then the baby would kick and poof, out came one of her weapons. She’d frightened countless citizens during her afternoon walks.

To make matters worse – the guild wouldn’t let her take on missions, either. In fact, she’d been ‘banned’ from the job board until further notice.

“This isn’t self-loathing,” he told her. “Rather, these are the words of a man in love.”

Erza’s cheeks flushed. “So, in other words, you’re a rambling fool.”

Jellal let out a laugh and turned his eyes on the window. Magnolia was beautiful this time of year. The trees beyond their comfortable home were starting to flower again. Life bloomed all around them.

“Perhaps you’re right,” he grinned. “And you’re the strongest woman I know.”

“I don’t feel like it,” she sighed. “I feel useless and hopelessly deprived of cake.”

He stifled a laugh. “You’re carrying another person inside of you, Erza. In what respect is that anything but strength?”

She was about to speak when a sharp pain weaved its way through her stomach. She could pinpoint the exact moment her water would break. Seconds later, it did. Leaning over Jellal, she retrieved the remains of a cupcake and quickly devoured it in its entirety.

“Erza… what was…”

“Oh,” she waved a hand dismissively, “My water just broke, that’s all. Did you want some of–”

Jellal leapt from the couch in a panic. “Your water broke! Erza! The baby is coming!”

Erza stared up from the plate in her hand and felt her eyes slowly widen. This was it. This was the moment of truth. This was everything they’d been waiting for. They could finally start their family.

“We’re having our baby!” Erza gasped.

Jellal cradled her face in his hands and gave her a long, passionate kiss. The kind of kiss she’d remember for an eternity hereafter.

“We have to go! Now!” he told her.

“Can you buy me cake along the way?”

“Erza!”

“Right. We should get some for the others too, so they don’t take mine.”

“Erza,” Jellal said again.

“Oh, right,” with a hand on her stomach, Erza let Jellal usher her out of the room. “By the way,” she added on her way out, “You’re more than worthy.”
