i just want to choose something small every day to fall in love with. how often do i really just like… study the heck out of a sunbeam. learn a new word and find out how to use it, teach it to others. watch birds because birds are nice. find a new favorite color. to find out something about each person in my life to compliment them on that’s genuine and better than “you’re pretty,” i mean realizing they always get water for other people before they sit down at lunch or how neat their notes are or how they always have a good pun. i want to listen harder and talk a little less and say more important stuff. and i want to watch out for stuff to just obsess over like a cool cloud or a tree and just. learn stuff from people. ask more questions about how her hair is so silky and just. fall in love with everybody.
Aaand here’s the second “big” collab with @ofsiins / @wclvesden and I know I’ve said it before but Liz is absolutely slaying my ass with her coloring. Just,, fuck me all the way up!!!!! I love how Kaibara’s dress is like the sun and probably blinds everyone who dares gaze upon it.
Here Zak & Kaibara attend a gala put on by Grandmama Lilia, who invited Zak along so she could…cross-examine the new boyfriend.
I didn’t noticed Anna in this scene. I mean, obviously I know that she’s there, but I didn’t noticed with details her facial expression. Her face is a mixture between confusion and uncertainty. Confusion because she don’t know, with precision, what’s happening. And uncertainty because she dont know what will happen or what Elsa could do; also she looks scared. But for her the above doesn’t matter because all she wants is her sister back, and delves into the icy fortress, uncaring nothing more for than her sister.
Excusing the horrible writing with the mouse and the white out parts because ~spoilers~, I am trying out a new plot planning method. I find it hard to follow general outlining a lot of the time because it’s just not how I think. But this plot charting seems to be really working for me. Basically, there are three starting plots as you can see (still deciding on how I want to handle plot 3 as you can see) with arrows, and those arrows follow actions that result in converging or diverging from resulting plot points. This way I can see how the points are actually interacting with each other. It’s not perfect or pretty, but this is working for me so far!
So, I’m posting this to share with other writers who, like me, aren’t so great with outlining but still want to plan. Color coding is not necessary and you do what fits you best (I just love color coding, it makes me feel good inside).
Doodled my OC Layth with Rowlet! Definitely looking forward to choosing my own Rowlet; I’ve been choosing Grass starters since Red and Blue, so I’m very happy that the grass starter met my expectations! I hope it’s evolutionary chain does it justice!
“Your mother was always worried about me bringing my work home. That bomb was intended for me, Laurel.” “Is that what all the security is about?” “I’m sorry for getting you and Orion wrapped up in all this.” “Just tell me… Are you trying to make the city a safer place?”
Everyone knows the anime changed their animation style around the GMG, and if anyone payed attention, it changed a little again reaching the Tartaros Arc. A lot of people had mixed opinions on this style; either you loved it, hated it, or just plain didn’t care. Everyone agrees though that it got darker, am I right?
I think the animation style from before, all the colors bright and cheerful, made the world of Fairy Tail out to be this beautiful, magical world of joy, happiness, and excitement. I think it represented endless adventure, and the always-carefree, always-gonna-win-no-matter-what feel of Fairy Tail’s start.
During the GMG, colors became duller and more ‘translucent’, as though fluid instead of just solid, unmoving objects. I think it represents how truly important the events have become, and that the world is no longer sunshine and rainbows; Fairy Tail has a legitimate chance of losing, and the costs of doing so are high.
Then it gets even darker during the Tartaros Arc, and suddenly, while objects keep that fluid, movable feel to them, colors become more solid and defined as well. Eyes and hair glow much less than they did in the GMG, and definitely less than they did in the original episodes. Fire, especially Natsu’s fire, has become less like a beautiful, magical creation, and more like the destructive, deadly force it’s known for in real life. The world is suddenly no longer a magical happy place at all, and any hope they once had during the GMG seems to disappear, and, again, the animation is reflecting that.
The animators are trying to tell us something with this; Fairy Tail is losing, the fighting and enemies are only going to get harder, more evil, more malicious, and more sadistic, and the stakes are only going to get higher. It’s no longer about protecting freedom, or getting money from a job, or protecting a family outside of their own; now it’s about saving their own lives, and protecting the most important ones they have.
Despite that, I believe when Fairy Tail finally ends, and the war against Alvarez reaches and ends in the anime, Natsu is going to grab Zeref’s hand(MANGA READERS MIGHT GET THIS!) and tell him it’s time to go on another adventure or something, and as they run off (Like Lucy and Natsu in the Golden Grasslands) the animation is going to switch back to the original animation, because it’s over, and they can finally go back to the world of carefree joy that they enjoyed for so long. They can finally continue the adventure.
To christen my super-fancy-brand-new tablet, I am, as of this moment, officially undertaking the color palette challenge! I’ve created my own set of palettes (seen above) and will be accepting requests for characters starting NOW!
I will do my best to find any characters that I may not know of yet, and I’m game to draw some ships/pairings/multiple characters too! Just send me an ask with the character(s) and the number corresponding the color palette you want. I’ll do my best to make it happen!
