i'm in a black and white mood

“Because you know I like you.” / “Liking Philip, out here, the way I do… it’s hard.”

[caption: three black and white gifs of philip from eyewitness. all scenes are related to him being liked. his face as lukas says “because [tommy] doesn’t like you.” / him telling gabe about his mom’s boyfriend “so i just kept sitting next to him… pretending that he liked me.” / him telling helen and gabe “even if somebody out here did like me, they would never admit it.”]

  • what she says: i'm fine
  • what she means: i'm so tired of christine daaé being portrayed in black and white. either she is an angel without flaws, which she totally isn't because of her confused state of mind, reckless actions, and destructive curiosity or as a weak, not worthy character whose compassion is not taken into consideration because of the ending of the narrative when in truth that was the most powerful and meaningful thing she could have done. why can't christine daaé be seen as someone who isn't perfect by all means but at the same time a strong female character who is the hero of her own story?

Breathe in, breathe out

loneliness in sadness

my life is black, white, gray, and brown
vibrant colors have gone out of style
the bird’s songs are no longer a pleasant sound
nothing is beautiful if it can make me smile

how foolish must you be to live in red, yellow, orange, and blue
with so many reasons to be sad, how could you be filled with glee
why do you let sunshine and happiness fall upon you
why can’t you be a sad sack like me
