a/n: “I’m just your problem” Is a noice. Isn’t it? Heheheh…. I just really like the song heh
“Red Hood, huh?”
The name was too familiar. You used to be an extremely close friend to the guy, maybe even more you had thought, but he started avoiding you. He stopped talking to you; You both didn’t meet during your vigilante acts anymore. You still heard about him on the news now and then, but he had never contacted or talked you. You didn’t have a single clue why, but you were pissed. He flat out ignored you and never bothered stating why. He was some big-shot anti-hero now and obviously had no time for you. If you weren’t going on a mission with him you would be beating the crap out of him, but you are.
“Ha. That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time.” You continued looking at Red Robin. He was an ally you had grown to be friends with. He had revealed his identity to you and you had done the same. He was already a better friend than the ‘Red Hood’. You’ve never told him about your encounters with the previous hood, and you were sure as hell you weren’t going to go into it as of the moment.
“Okay, anyways he should be here in a few.” Tim said focused on the mission at hand. It was a normal Tim thing. “Or maybe now.” A voice spoke jumping onto the building you and Tim were on. It was him, the piece of red shit. “I told you, I could be early if I wanted.” He said as you felt him smirk under his helmet. You rolled your eyes as Tim stepped out of your way. “This is (y/s/n).” He gestured at you. You could tell Jason was slightly shook. “Yeah, okay. Let’s just do this.” He pulled Tim as you followed.
“You’ve got a fucking problem.” You cursed almost incoherently.
You were perched at the edge of the of the building peering at the warehouse presented to you. “So how do you guys want to enter?” Tim asked. “Well firstly we can check the area for goons then we could narrow down the entrances to the least-” Jay cut you off with his snarky attitude “Yeah, because that won’t give them more time to prepare for us. I say we go in through that entrance.” He points at a vent opening on the roof top. “Then decide there.” He finishes. “Sorry (y/s/n), I’m gonna have to go with Jay.” Tim hesitantly admits. “They’re expecting us, the faster we get in the less prepared they’ll be.” He continues as he looks at both of you. You nod in response. “Okay” You huff as everyone jumps off to the surface of the warehouse.
“Don’t you feel the slightest weirded out that they didn’t position anyone here.” You ask Tim. “That’s not what we should be worrying about right now.” Jason remarks aggressively as he pulls out one of his guns. You ignore his comment and open up the vent. Tim goes in first with you closely following behind. You were about to leap in when Jason pushed you behind and jumped in. You face grew red as you tried to hold in your anger. You clenched your fists furiously and followed behind.
You were all in the vent system but you realized that you were all going to fall fast. You tapped Jason’s shoulder rapidly, but he continued to ignore you. He shushed you and continued to move on. “TIM” You whispered shouted and stopped crawling. “Yeah, What’s up.” He turned around to look at your slightly worried face. “We need to get out now.” You said seriously. He nodded and proceeded to remove a vent cover below him. He peeked his head into the opening before giving a signal to go down. You both followed down. You were covered by boxes. You could hear voices from the floor below the vents you were passing by. “Thanks for the heads up, (y/s/n).” You smiled proudly as Jason just crossed his arms. “Yeah let’s just get moving.”
“You see the case down there on the table. We need that back it has the files for the next riddler plans.” Tim explains quietly. “I don’t know about you guys but-” Jason shoots his gun at one of the men at the table causing a havoc. “Thanks” You mumble leaping down onto floor below kicking two men in the stomach. Tim follows tackling two more men down. You run over to the table and pointing your grappling hook onto one of the metal bars near the ceiling. You fire and start to ascend before someone grabs your ankle. You swing the line back and forth before letting go and ending up on the spot you were on a while ago. The figure who was once holding your ankle was now one the broken table.
You call Tim and Jason. Whilst Tim makes his way up to you, Jason ignores your orders and continues shooting at the enemies. As Tim makes his way up to you he grabs Jason’s hand pulling him to come up with him. You break the nearest window and you all proceeded to get out.
As soon as you arrived at the building you all were once at Jason pulled you away. “You let one get away.” Jason yelled at you. He pointed straight at you and was towering over you scarily. “You almost ruined the whole thing.” You retorted rolling your eyes. “I had a plan, while whatever you did was not right.” He roared even louder. You were going to burst, you couldn’t take it anymore he was going too far. “OR IS IT JUST ME YOU DON’T LIKE.” You shouted losing it. “SORRY I HAVE MY OWN WAYS OF GETTING THINGS DONE AND THANK YOU FOR OUTRIGHT IGNORING AND BULLYING MY EXISTANCE.” You spat onto his face.
There was silence.
“(y/n), I’m sorry for avoiding you all these years.” Jason spoke softly. “Do not (y/n) me. I’m just your problem, right?” You threw your hands in the air giving up. “I admit okay. I was getting caught up, but I when I realized it I thought you wouldn’t forgive me if I came back so I just kept up with the act. I love you, but I didn’t want to hear your say no. I was scared you were going to reject me and If you want me to get out of your life right now I will, if it makes you happy. ” He sounded actually genuine. He was beating himself up and you felt it.
You huffed and blantly demanded “Remove your helmet.“He took it off with a tear streaming down his cheeks. You could see the hurt and sorrow in his face. You smiled at him before slapping him right across the face. He rubbed the red spot on his cheek protesting giving a small "Ow.”
“That was for thinking it was a well good idea.” You crossed your arms angerily. “But this is for being my cute and shy little Hood.” You placed your lips right onto his and smiled through it. You could feel joy and relief beaming from his eyes. You couldn’t blame him, you were more than happy that you could finally just express to him how much you cared. You pulled away from him. “You’re not mad?” He asked in disbelief.
“Oh I am sure as fuck mad, but I’m way too glad to have you back.”
