i'm going to start tag it

When I first started getting into TF2 I found myself coming up with an idea for a tenth class OC and was immediately like, ‘I bet these kind of OCs are sort of taboo in this fandom,’ and found that yes, tenth classes generally didn’t go down too well.

After stumbling across a handful of rather poorly executed ones, I decided I wasn’t keen on them either.

Then, just recently, some really creative 10th classes have been appearing in the tags and I’ve seen them get lots of notes and support and asks and I’m like, ‘Hey, it’s not my thing but damn is it nice to see people being encouraged to be creative and come up with new ideas!’

Seriously, it makes me so happy to see. I hope this continues and more people are encouraged to join in and create cool tenth class OCs.

Just. Go on. Do it. Create your tenth class OCs.

Support other people who have them.

This is so much nicer to see than the older attitude.

Hell, who knows, you might even be able to bring me around.

universe: canon
tags: hurt/comfort, fluff, angst, literal sleeping together, lots of yongguk feels, attempt at realism, rating will go up, more tags will be added

It all starts when Daehyun shows up on Yongguk’s doorstep one night in late November, during the leader’s break.

excerpt ]

Yongguk isn’t surprised by the confession, but still feels alarmed by it. He’s never been good at talking about his feelings—or talking, period. It was the very first obstacle he had to overcome when starting the meetings with his therapist. Daehyun has always been good at it; always seems so confident in what he feels. Yongguk never is. He’s always been socially awkward, better at reading books and newspapers than people.

But he can read his members, just like they can read him. They know each other too well by now. And he recognizes Daehyun’s fidgeting for what it is: longing for physical contact. Because he knows how Daehyun works; knows he uses touches almost as much as words when expressing himself. He knows the younger is holding himself back now, as he so often does when it’s just the two of them. Knows that Daehyun would never sit this far apart on a couch if Yongguk was anyone else. Knows that if it was any of the maknaes, Daehyun would be halfway into their laps by now. And if it were Himchan or Youngjae, he’d be fumbling with their hands instead of his own.

edit: there’s an amazing fic for this now, please read it for a good time

one of the reasons people with bpd handle people rejecting them/abandoning them so hard is bc we base our identities around these people we get attached to. how THEY feel about us is who we ARE, in our minds. if they love us, we base our identities around that and believe we are loveable. if they leave us or decide they don’t like us anymore, we believe we are unloveable because we have no concrete sense of who we are, apart from how other people feel about us.

  • Me @ 1 AM: I think I'm going to start this new show, seems interesting
  • Me @ 3 AM: This show is the best. I've already finished 5 seasons, scrolled through half of it's Tumblr tag, went through 20 of its popular ships, and read its entire Wikipedia

Get ready for the #ClexaWeek2017! From February 27th to March 5th each day will have a different theme to celebrate Clexa.

  • How can I join?

You can write fanfics, make fanart, edits, aesthetics, gifsets, music, games and whatever the hell you want. If you don’t have any artistic skill, you can even make fic rec lists for each day! You just have to post on the right day and tag it with #ClexaWeek2017, or you can send submissions to @clexaweek2017

For any other info, guidelines, suggestions and to keep up with #ClexaWeek2017, follow @clexaweek2017

  • Now go and share it!

Tell your favorite writers and artists about it, start the preparations. And let’s celebrate everything we love about this ship. One year ago the 3.07 may have happened, but they’ll never take Clexa from us.

for @allmycharactersare-dead: oikawa, iwaizumi & the flock 1 and 2 trainees from wingbeats!! because dragons and dragon riders are. the coolest. also I promised you a thing!! ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ

as a kid, being a jedi sounded like the coolest thing in the entire world, but now that i’m older i’m definitely seeing some :/// shit with the order

and honestly, that’s probably how it worked in universe. can you imagine being a kid and finding out that you could go be a hero? you could save people? you could change the world for the better?

everyone knows the stories, everyone knows that the jedi are the good ones, everyone talks about the things they’ve done. and as a kid, you’re gonna want to help everyone, you’re gonna want to do whatever it takes to protect the people you love

the younglings are young enough when they’re taken that they’re gonna listen to anything the masters tell them, they’re brains aren’t at a point where they can step back and say “hey, is this really right?”

they’re gonna trust the people taking care of them, they’re gonna trust the people they’ve always looked up to. why would they lie to them?

but you can’t just tell children to Not Be Angry, Or Jealous, Or Hate, Or Else. you have to show them how to cope with those emotions, don’t tell them they’re inherently bad and can never happen. kids see things in black and white, they can’t grasp the nuances of morality that young.

the masters are laying the groundwork for their belief system and if they don’t explain anything outside of “negative emotions = bad” they’re gonna get a bunch of kids who think they’re bad for feeling those negative emotions

you can’t tell children to not get attached to everyone. children need love and support and affection to develop emotionally, children are clingy and they need love and reassurance, and they aren’t gonna understand why the people who practically raised them can’t be that close to them because it’s Attachment

and next thing they know, they’re thrown into the middle of battle. ahsoka was a padawan when she was sent into the middle of a war. she was 14 in the show, even though i’m pretty sure they’re usually 13. and yes, war is messy and horrible and everyone involved lose their innocence. yes, children are caught in the crossfire, but the jedi order looked at this warzone and said “yes, let’s send a child there.”

hell, even obi wan wasn’t that old when he started training anakin. at the time of the prequels, the order was pretty much built on children forced to grow up too soon. that’s something that comes with war, but for a group of people built on the idea of protecting everyone, the jedi order sure seemed to fail in that respect.

and they failed with the clones too. the jedi believed in the worth of every living thing and that every living thing was worth protecting, and yet it seemed like obi wan, anakin, ahsoka, and plo koon were anomalies in treating the clones like people. they used an army of sentient beings raised to be cannon fodder and didn’t ask any questions about it, they didn’t give the clones a choice to fight because they were always meant to kill or die trying.

maybe the jedi were peacekeepers, protectors, once, but not when the prequels happened. maybe some were better at conveying their beliefs to younglings, but at the time of the prequels, they were definitely doing more harm than good.
