Consider: Andrew and Neil sharing a bed. Obviously we all know that Andrew has to have his back to the wall and it works best when Neil is facing him so that he doesn't just see the back of a head when he wakes up. Also consider that Neil has spent the last decade or so making sure to never have his back to a door, whether awake or asleep. Neil purposely sleeping with his back to the door to make Andrew more comfortable don't mind me I'm just crying over these fools

All right, in the spirit of keeping this short and sweet… I hope you like this, that this is what you had in mind.

******

The only thing better than their win against UT (seven to six, and each point hard-won since the Longhorns had done their best to redress their loss the previous season and almost managed to do just that) had been coming into the locker room after the game to find out that their return flight home had been cancelled for the night and they’d have to stay in Austin until they could fly out the next morning due to a string of strong storms moving through the southeast. Considering the rough flight in from Atlanta that had even given Neil a moment or two of unease… well, Neil hadn’t been certain how they were going to get Andrew back on the plane short of horse tranquilizers if the flight home was going to be as turbulent as the earlier flight.

Writing Romance (Lin-Manuel x Reader)

Summary: You and Lin spend the day book shopping. You get mistaken for a couple. Casual flirting in between.

Word Count: 669 (ha)

Warnings: Lots of flirting, a direct Alexander Hamilton quote, a non-existent book, a few cheesy Hamilton references, another cheesy twitter ending. Nothing honestly, I’m a fluff writer through and through.

A/N: A short ficlet that falls in line with the other fic I wrote, Halfway, but that one doesn’t have to be read for this one to make sense. I would’ve written something longer but I’m in the midst of battling a few ideas that r e f u s e to cooperate.

“Love, look what I found.” you chirped, sinking to the floor at the back of the bookstore to sit across from Lin. You leaned back against the bookcase behind you as you fished out the book. You held up A Complete Collection of Alexander Hamilton’s Work with a grin before you feathered through it and started to read aloud.

“I have told you, and I told you truly that I love you too much. You engross my thoughts too entirely to allow me to think of anything else. You not only employ my mind all day; but you intrude upon my sleep. I meet you in every dream - and when I wake I cannot close my eyes again for ruminating on your sweetnesses.” you paused and your eyes flicked up to look at an unusually quiet Lin. “What?”

Hey Emma! Not sure if this is study related but I'm in uni and have a really tough time getting to bed early - I find all ways to procrastinate going to bed until its 2 or 3 am and its ruining my life and ability to study! Any advice?

Hellooo! This is me too haha! I’m obsessed with the Most Popular Girls in School on YouTube and I end up watching episode after episode :’-)

When I was writing for The Academic Zine, I did an article about sleep hygiene and some tip on getting yours on track. I’ll copy and paste it below so you can have a read!

1. Plan your ideal sleep routine. The first step to improving your sleep hygiene is to make a plan. While a few early nights can get you started, fixing your sleep hygiene will not be instantaneous. If your internal body clock is out-of-sync such that you only feel tired at midnight, getting sleep is bound to be a tough process. We suggest making small and manageable goals.

Start by setting a goal, such as getting ready for bed half an hour earlier or reading a book instead of checking your Tumblr. Make adjusting your sleep pattern more enticing by tracking and monitoring it. Downloadable phone applications help gamify your attempts to improve your sleep patterns, giving you more motivation. They offer information including your movements during the night, how your day affected your sleep, and the progress you’ve made. If you don’t want to use your phone while you sleep, make a habit tracker. We all know the pleasure of crossing off another day of the month that you managed to stick to a new habit.

2. Turn your room into a sleep sanctuary. In order to sleep comfortably, it is important to make your bedroom a calming environment.  Avoid studying in your bedroom or at least on the bed. Constantly using the bed for studying will weaken your brain’s association between being in bed and sleeping and instead associate it with working. Make the effort to use a desk or another room for studying so when your eyelids are drooping, you can go to your room, remove yourself from any stresses you’ve had, and take time to relax and recharge.

Get your sanctuary started by adjusting the light, temperature, and noise level. Use curtains or black-out blinds to make the room completely dark. If there is unavoidable light, you can try using a sleep mask. As the seasons change, it is natural to kick off the sheets or wrap up extra snuggly. However, if waking up because of temperature is a regular occurrence, take that as a sign to make a change. Try adding or removing a blanket, change your type of pajamas, and/or place a heater in the room on a low heat setting.

3. Prepare for the next day. As a student, I know how it feels to be tossing and turning because you’re worried about the next day. The easiest way to calm a racing mind is by preparing for the day ahead before going to bed. Small ways to prepare include organizing your bag, charging your phone, laptop, or tablet, and updating your planner or bullet journal.

4. Take time to relax before bed. After a stressful day or long study session, getting into a relaxed and calm mood is the best way to prepare your mind for sleeping. Taking the time to destress can help to reduce the feeling of anxiety by detaching your mind from the events of the day. You can try reading, journaling, drawing, doing yoga, or taking a warm shower. Make it a habit to put a relaxing activity at the end of your to-do list so you can finish the day on a positive note. Finding an activity that helps focus your attention, calm your mind, and that you enjoy can be perfect for a bedtime routine.

5. Things to avoid. Right before your head hits the pillow, it is best to avoid things like using your computer or phone for extended periods of time and consuming any substances like caffeine or alcohol. While it is always tempting to watch just one more episode of your favorite show before going to bed, the screen can make you feel more awake. The time gap between exposure to light and your bedtime impacts the melatonin in your body, which is the chemical that signals drowsiness and makes you feel tired.

6. Exercise during the day. Exercise is not only good for your mental and physical health but also your sleep quality. Studies have shown that people who exercise the recommended amount per week had significantly higher quality of sleep, felt more energized during the day, and had improved concentration when they did feel tired. Make the effort to have at least 150 minutes of exercise during the week. Try taking a walk, going to the gym, or joining an exercise class. It is best to finish any strenuous physical activity a few hours prior to going to bed. If you exercise before sleeping, any energy you didn’t direct towards the workout will keep you feeling alert rather than sleepy. Light activity such as yoga or mediation is recommended as a late night workout.

7. The art of napping. Napping was one of the best parts of childhood, right? Now it seems when you accidentally fall asleep you feel worse than you did before. That’s because you’re either not napping for long enough or waking up during the deepest part of the sleeping cycle. How much is the right amount?

  • 1- 5 minutes (micro naps): great for having a small boost of energy and stopping that sleepy feeling.
  • 10-20 minutes (power naps): enhances alertness and concentration, elevates mood, and sharpens motor skills. Coffee takes 20 to 30 minute to take effect so if you want to boost alertness, have a cup before napping.
  • 45 minutes: helps to boost energy, creative thinking and boosts sensory processing.  Try setting an alarm to avoid the feeling of sleep inertia, grogginess, and disorientation which comes with the next phase of sleep.
  • 90 minutes: clear your mind, improve memory recall, and recoup lost sleep. By waking up after 90 minutes you’ll avoid the feeling of sleep inertia as you wake up from REM sleep.

8. Hack your sleep. Technology can make your sleep pattern more enticing by tracking your progress. Numerous apps available from the App Store or Play Store offer ways to see how your body responds through each phase of the sleep cycle. Try Sleep Cycle, Sleep Genius, or SleepBot. If you own a FitBit, try wearing it to bed. The app can set sleep goals, set an alarm, and track your sleep quality. Sleep calculators are also available (e.g. http://sleepyti.me) and allow you to nap without worrying about feeling groggy afterwards.

9. Avoid making a habit of all nighters. It is best to limit the number of times you are staying up all night even if it seems the only way to meet a deadline. Try using different time management methods – such as the Pomodoro technique – to avoid staying up all night. Making a habit of all night working sessions can, over time, decrease your concentration and result in poorer long term memory. If sacrificing sleep is the only way to meet a deadline, it is best to do it right. Try these tips:

  • top up your energy – take a nap, stretch a little, or drink a coffee.
  • eat protein – when you’re working hard, your body needs something to burn. Despite the tastiness of carbs, they store energy for later and can make you sleepier in the long term. Try including meat in your evening meal, or snacking on nuts and seeds.
  • move around – make an effort to take a break every now and then. Get up, stretch, move around, and reinvigorate yourself with energy.
  • music – keep yourself alert with some tunes. Instrumental songs or movie soundtracks often promote productivity and focus. If you’re feeling sleepy, put on your favorite song and have a silent sing along to get you back in the mood!
  • remove all distractions – if you’re texting a friend, watching a TV show, or checking your Facebook whilst attempting to finish a task, you’re wasting time. Having 20 minutes of concentration, followed by a 5-minute break, will be more effective than pausing every few minutes to reply to a message. If you use the Pomodoro technique, you can utilize your breaks to do this.
  • focus on one thing at a time – keep your concentration there until it’s done or it’s time to take a break. Multitasking when it is late will reduce your attentiveness to one task and could therefore reduce the quality of your work.
  • work at a desk – as aforementioned, avoid making a habit of using your bed for work. All-nighters are probably most comfortable in bed but after continuous use you’ll feel instantly more sleepy and unproductive as your brain is associating your bed with sleeping and relaxing. If you have a desk you can use during a late night work session, be sure to use it.
  • reward yourself the next day – after pulling an all nighter you need to recentralize your internal body clock. If you’re feeling tired, make an effort to go to sleep slightly earlier. Try taking a few hours to relax and do something you enjoy.

10. Stop mourning your mornings. Not everyone is a morning person, especially if you’re waking up super early. Setting a motivational routine can improve your morning mood. Set an alarm that doesn’t interrupt your sleep cycle. Sleep Cycle, as mentioned previously, wakes you up when your body is most alert which means the feeling of sleep inertia is reduced. When you get up, take two minutes to stretch. Allowing your body to stretch out after a long night sleep helps to rejuvenate our ligaments and release any tension in our joints. Washing your face with cold water or taking a shower help to make you fresh awake and fresh. Whether you eat straight away or get ready, make an effort to maintain your routine.

I hope this helps! :-) xx

Tour Bus

Hello, Love bugs!

Phil X Reader

Warnings- smut

Okay but I really need a smut fic where Phil and the reader do it on the tour bus ;-; (you know cos he had the master bedroom lmao) and they’re trying to be quiet

The show was amazing. You saw it back in the UK but the boys now had it down to a science. Everything was perfect. Now you may be a bit bias but the magic and the singing was probably the best parts of the whole thing. The boys look so happy up on stage doing something they loved with people who they really loved and were thankful for. You arrived right before the show so you didn’t have a chance to say hi to Phil. He had reserved you a seat in the mix of all the fans so you could have the full experience. It really was fun to talk to the people who loved your bean as much as you do.

Nursey is sneaking around doing something he probably shouldn't and he somehow overhears/sees Dex playing piano

This was really fun! Warning though, as you can probably tell I’ve never messed with pot, and I have no clue how it actually works. Bear with me and enjoy the music.

Everyone knew that the third floor of the music building was practically never used. There were practice rooms on the second floor that had nicer equipment, and while there was an elevator that ran to the second, apparently no one thought the third floor had needed it. Or at least, that’s what it felt like every time Nursey climbed up the stairs. There was an unmanned music library situated at the front of the hall, with two more practice rooms in the top of the tower. A little spooky, but it was a good place to find some quiet during the day. After about 6 you took your chances running into someone else whose roommate wouldn’t let them smoke in the dorm.

Nursey isn’t an avid smoker- not like Shitty or even Lardo- but during times of high stress like finals or season playoffs the pot helped him maintain his carefully cultivated ‘chill’ and he tries to be respectful of his roommate when he needs a smoke.

When Nursey finally gets to the top of the stairs he’s a little surprised to hear music playing. Usually there’s no one up here and it’s a safe place for a little recreational drug use. But finals are approaching, so maybe there are students in dire need of practice rooms willing to take the steps. Still, there’s a practice room across the hall that’s empty, and if the person playing piano is any good maybe it’ll help calm him down.

Float- Jughead Jones Fic (Part Three)

A/N: Heres chapter three! Sorry they’ve been rolling out slow. I promise the story starts picking up speed soon! This is not proofread.

Words: 1443

Part One

Part Two

I sped back to the drive in, parking my car just outside the lot before sprinting down to the far corner. The steady thump of music gave way to the sound of rowdy cheering. Amongst the serpents, I felt safe. While my brother was in no way an important figure, and they didn’t have a code or anything so melodramatic, the smell of booze and gruff faces just felt…normal. Any other day, I’d watch until the sun rose, when even the drunkest of drinkers finally passed out, and the kegs lay empty, strewn across the lot with a haphazard carelessness.

The New Trainee//Im Jaebum

Pairing:Jaebum x reader

Genre: Fluffy fluff fluff

Summary:You’re a new trainee at JYP, and you catch someone’s eye.

Author’s Note: I wrote this for the cutest, loveliest Jaebum stan I know, who is currently sleeping bUT I wanted to make her smile and I know Jaebum makes her smile more than anything, so here you go @imsarabum , I love you~

Queue’s for scenario:

(Y/BF/N)- Your best friend’s name. (And Sara when you read this istg if my name is not in this queue you will be murdered jUST SAYING)

xoxo Sara

You had been a new Trainee at JYP, along with your best friend, (Y/BF/N), for only a few months now. You were a foreigner, recruited to JYP for your voice, something you never really showcased unless it was through Soundcloud. You were recruited by other companies as well, such as BigHit, but you chose JYP for one certain reason.

And of course, if you were going to move to a new country, you were bringing your best friend with you. JYP let her try out, too; her also being a foreigner, her being able to rap very well in Korean was something that JYP loved.

They weaved in and out of new trainees for months, looking for girls to complete the girl band they were planning to set up. You and (Y/BF/N) went to the studio everyday regardless, practicing dances for other bands that you were going to cover until you had made your own mini album, or a song or two at least.

“(Y/N),” (Y/BF/N) yelled to you over the music that you were blasting in your small practice room, “mind turning that down? I can barely hear myself think.”

“You think?” you gasped, putting your hand over your mouth, “That’s a shocker.”

“Yeah yeah yeah,” she hushed you, throwing her hand up as she looked down at her book, “I’m trying to study more Korean terms, as you should too. Wouldn’t want you getting lost in Seoul by yourself again, now would we?”

“That was once, (Y/BF/N),” You groaned, picking up the remote to the stereo and pausing the song you were currently practicing to, grabbing your waterbottle from off of the floor and squatting down in front of her.

“Once too many, if you ask me,” she giggled, pushing your shoulder gently as her eyes widened.

“Yah, (Y/N), it’s Jaebum-Sunbaenim!”

Your head whipped towards the direction she was looking at, to find that there was no Jaebum there.

“That was a dirty trick,(Y/BF/N),” you scolded her as she laughed, taking the opportunity to push her over so she fell against the cold wooden floor.

Your best friend knew that you had a thing for Jaebum of GOT7, as she had a thing for one of their members as well. She never let you live it down that he was the only reason that you were at JYP, and not at some place like BigHit. You hadn’t loved Jaebum since you started listening to GOT7, but somehow, he caught your eye and he kept your focus on him and on him only after that. With his killer smile, soft laugh, gentle and caring but comedic nature, you couldn’t help but fall for the leader.

“Y-You, you should have seen your face!” She giggled softly, standing up slowly and leaning her hands on her knees, “you, you were like ‘O-OH MY GOD’ mentally, but I swear that I heard it come from your mind!” She squeezed her eyes shut, now standing up and throwing her head back as she continued to giggle, “O-Oh, I can’t breathe! I need drink.” She pretended to wipe away tears as she walked towards the door.

“Hope you choke on it,” you said, taking the remote to the stereo again as you stood.

A moment of silent washed by.“Oh, H-Hi Sunbaenims,” You heard your best friend say from behind you, earning a soft laugh to escape your lips.

“Oh, I am NOT fooling for it again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice and I just look like a big blushing idiot.”

“Sorry if we interrupted anything.”

You felt yourself freeze in your spot, knowing that voice anywhere. Your eyes wandered to the mirror, looking behind you to see the boys of GOT7 standing behind you in the doorway.

“O-Oh, hi Sunbaenims,” you repeated (Y/BF/N)’s words as you bowed softly, cheeks flushing as (Y/BF/N) looked at you, blushing as well, but finding it hard to contain her laughter.

“Hi,” they all greeted simultaneously, Jaebum slowly emerging from the small crowd, “JYP told us that you two were going to be a part of an all girl group, so we wanted to stop by and welcome you to the JYP family.”

“That’s very kind of you,” you smiled gently, cheeks flushing as Jaebum continued to stare at you. You were at a loss for words; barely even able to speak, the few words that you were barely able to mutter enough to let your best friend know that you were now in full panic mode and in need of assistance.

“(Y/N) has had troubles with her throat lately, but she took off her mask because it didn’t allow her to breathe as she was practicing too hard.” your best friend said, completely saving your behind as she walked over to your bag that was sat against the mirror, opening it and grabbing the mask you had always kept in there just in case, tossing it to you as she pretended to scold you. “I told her not to work so hard. I was just going to get her a drink when you all walked in.”

“Ah,” Jaebum nodded softly as you slid on your mask, “Okay.”

“But, she was talk-“ Yugyeom began to speak, but your best friend turned around to face him, frantically signaling for him to stop talking behind Jaebum’s back, making the other boys giggle and cover his mouth.

“Well, i’m sorry you’re not feeling well,” Jaebum said, pouting softly, “We were all wondering when you were going to find out who your other band members were.”

“We find out which girls are going to join us tonight,” (Y/BF/N) said softly, walking over to stand next to you, “but even with all of the trainees we were training with, we all agreed that if we were thrown into a band with (Y/N), that she would be the leader.”

Jaebum smiled softly, taking your hand, “Well, from one leader to another, goodluck with recording and practicing. It can be frustrating, but it’s all worth it in the end when you debut.”

You felt your cheeks turn a bright crimson, thankful that your mask covered your deep blush as you nodded, bowing your head slightly.

“Well, we’ll be back again tomorrow to meet the rest of your band then!”

And back they were, greeted by two other girls; Hinimi and Hiyori. They both stood and bowed politely as the boys of GOT7 walked through the door, introducing themselves before both you or (Y/BF/N) had any time to speak.

“Oh, how rude of us yesterday, we didn’t introduce ourselves,” (Y/BF/N) Said, smiling as she bowed to the boys yet again, “I’m (Y/BF/N), i’m the lead rapper and small maknae of the group.”

“Really?” Mark smiled widely, “Can you rap for us?”

(Y/BF/N) looked at you softly, seeing that you were almost in hysterics that you had to introduce yourself to GOT7, as you had never really introduced yourself to anyone besides JYP and the girls of your group before.

“If you want. I can actually rap to Bambam’s part in most of your songs,” she smiled, feeling as you silently thanked her for yet again buying you time to breathe and calm down.

Once she finished, you finally felt comfortable. “I’m (Y/N). I’m a strong vocalist, as well as the leader of the group.” You smiled softly as you introduced yourself, eyes wandering over all of the boys, but staying fixed when they landed on Jaebum.

“(Y/N),” Jaebum nodded at you, smiling, “lovely name.”

You felt your cheeks flush at his comment, watching as all of the boys smiled from behind him.

“U-Uh, thank you, Sunbaenim.”

Once you were all acquainted with each other, you all sat down and decided to have a chat.

“Hey,” Mark whispered to you, handing you a napkin as the boys started to pass out drinks, “I have something to tell you. Can you talk to me outside?”

“Yeah, sure,” you nodded, standing slowly, Mark following suit.

“We’re going to get drinks!” Mark said, smiling as he walked towards the door and opening it for you.

“But we already ha-“

“OKAY BYEE~” Mark shouted as he shut the door, both of you giggling as you two made your way over to the vending machine area to talk.

“We’re going to go get drinks, while they hand out drinks?” you giggled at him, “nice excuse.”

“Well, I wasn’t going to make you say something, seeing as you get so flustered around Jaebum and all.”

Your eyes widened at his statement, cheeks flushing at even hearing Jaebum’s name. “W-What do you mean?”

“We all heard (Y/BF/N) shout about seeing Jaebum before we came in yesterday,” Mark smirked, “And we all noticed how you got really red when Jaebum stepped from the middle of us. I mean, Jaebum probably didn’t, so don’t worry. He’s quite oblivious when it comes to noticing people’s feelings for him.” You felt yourself sigh softly, but you didn’t let Mark see.

“I just find it comical. Because for the past two weeks, Jaebum has been leaving to get waters from the vending machine, although he always brings one from home.”

“Why would he do that…?” you asked softly.

“Well, he always does it early in the morning,” Mark began, “And, the vending machines are dangerously close to someone’s practice room…”

You began to put the pieces together. (Y/BF/N) never arrives at the studio early, as she wants to sleep in and would rather put her extra practice time in at night. And Mark was right; the vending machines are right outside of your practice room.

“He’s… Been doing that…”

“To see the cute new trainee,” Mark chuckled, “he thought you were really cute when JYP showed us a picture of you two before you and (Y/BF/N) were first picked. We actually kind of helped him pick you guys. Jaebum loves the sound of your voice.”

Again, your cheeks flushed a bright crimson, but this time you had no mask to cover it.

“He’s just really shy to make the first move. Not saying he won’t,” Mark smirked yet again, “Because he’s planning to. But it’s going to be very, veeery subtle, probably unnoticeable. Jaebum isn’t the best at flirting. “

“Okay…” you nodded softly, mind racing as you thought of the possibilities that could happen; What if you didn’t notice his hint? You probably wouldn’t. What if Mark’s just playing?

“We should probably get back,” Mark hummed, you nodding in agreement.

You both went back to the practice room, about to sit in the seats you sat in before, before (Y/BF/N) spoke up. “Yah, (Y/N), my back hurts. I would really appreciate it if you switched seats with me so I can lean my back against the mirror,” she groaned, rubbing the small of her back as she pouted at you.

“Alright…” You hummed, helping her up and taking her seat; right in between Jackson and Jaebum. (Y/BF/N) winked at you, you now realizing that she didn’t have back problems at all; this was her way of trying to get you closer to Jaebum.

You all took a break from practicing that day; just talking with the boys and girls of your group. Bambam , Yugyeom and (Y/BF/N) doing group dances to make everyone laugh. You truly felt like a part of the JYP family, and you loved that you already felt so comfortable with the seven boys, along with your two new bandmates.

“(Y/N),” Jaebum mumbled into your ear, startling you for a second, “I have something for you from JYP. It’s a leaders thing, but I left it in my practice room. Would you come get it with me?”

You felt your cheeks flush, knowing that this is what Mark meant as his ‘very subtle’ hint. You nodded your head softly, swallowing the lump in your throat, “Y-yeah, sure.”

You two snuck out of the room, avoiding all attention besides of (Y/BF/N)’s, who was giving you a thumbs up as you walked away.

“Alright,” Jaebum said as he opened the door to his practice room, “I have a confession.”

“There isn’t a  leaders present.” You stated.

“There isn’t a—wait, you knew?” Jaebum asked, raising an eyebrow at you as you nodded. “Then why did you come with me?”

“A little birdie told me that something like this may happen,” you smiled nervously, feeling your cheeks heat up as you stared at your feet.

“Was that little birdie Mark-Hyung?”

You shrugged softly, “Just a birdie, really.”

Jaebum looked at his feet as well, feeling flustered as he knew that you knew what he was going to do next. “Well… Then you probably know, that I’ve been, uh…”

“Watching me practice?”

“You make it sound creepy, but I swear it isn’t,” Jaebum said frantically, “I could tell you were going to be the leader. You put so much effort into your group, and you have just met half of the girls and haven’t even started recording yet. It’s very admirable.”

You felt yourself blush, unable to contain your smiles as he continued to speak. “I wanted to tell you that. And also…That I think that you’re very pretty…And Mark-Hyung told me that he could tell that you also liked me…” He looked up at you with a slight smile, your eyes widening as you began to feel flustered again.

“And I know we have only really spoken once or twice, but, I’ve heard you sing, and you’re very talented. I want to get to know you more. I was wondering if you would allow me to take you to see a movie, maybe? Or is that too cliche?”

“Well, how are you going to get to know me if there’s a movie playing?” you giggled, making him feel flustered now. “But that sounds very nice.”

“YES, GO HYUNG!” You heard from behind you, Bambam and Marks face pressed to the walls of the practice room, while (Y/BF/N) and Hinimi stood in front of the opened door.

“How did you find us?” Jaebum asked, genuinely confused.

“The walls are glass, my dear,” (Y/BF/N) giggled, gesturing around her to the glass walls of the practice room, as all practice rooms were. (Y/BF/N) walked in with Mark, giving him a high five as they stood in front of you and Jaebum.

“Don’t tell me you had a hand in this?” you pointed at (Y/BF/N), who was now in a full fit of giggles with Mark.

“I met Mark when I was practicing late one night,” she giggled as Mark slung an arm over her shoulder, Jaebum also surprised at this new information. “I just didn’t tell you, and I know you’re probably like ‘what the hell (Y/BF/N), why didn’t you tell me?’”(Y/BF/N) said, trying to imitate your voice, “but look what happened! You should be thanking me.” She said, waving to a fake audience and taking a bow, which made everyone chuckle a little.

“How did you plan this?” You asked softly.

“A magician never reveals her secrets, now does she?”

anonymous asked:

I have a horrible sleep pattern (I always go to bed past 1 am and I feel dead every weekday) and idk how to stop it. I'm usually up doing homework, but on weekends I just cat sleep and end up on my phone. Basically my time management sucks. How do I fix these problems??

Hellooo! Ahh, this has been me after the holidays. For your homework, try setting time limits. It probably isn’t ideal for you anyway to be doing homework right up until bed. It’s best to have time to relax before you sleep. When I was in high school and the demand to have finished tasks daily was a lot higher, I would get up early rather than staying up late. I would finish at an easy point I could go back to and then get up at maybe 5 or 5:30am. I personally preferred to sleep earlier and wake up earlier than sleep super late. I felt I wasn’t as tired in the mornings. With your phone, perhaps trying to turn it off or leave it away from your bed. Check it for 10 minutes or something before you go to sleep but limit your time. In reality, the more you use it before you sleep the more awake you are.

:-) xx

Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My

You huffed walking up the trail, regretting your decision to pack so many clothes and toiletries for an overnight camping trip. “Oppa are we almost there yet?” you panted looking over to Swings.

“Five more kilometers before the camp ground”

“Yah Five!?” you slumped.

Daewoong dropped to the ground face first. “Hyung…go on without me…I’m done for…”

“I fucking quit” Siyoung tossed his bag on the ground and took a seat.

You’d admit you were the first one that was excited to hear that Swings wanted to bring everyone on a retreat. You’d only been a member of Just Music for a year, it was rare that you all got to spend time like this outside of the studio or a restaurant. You couldn’t even remember the last time you actually left the city for anything. Although you imagined something a little more glamorous, you were still looking forward to going camping.

However this little hike before the camp grounds was not something you signed up for.

John Laurens x Reader: Modern!Au

Words: 950

Warning: cuteeee

Request: Could you do one with Laurens with #20 and #4? :)

Prompt: 4. “C'mere, you can sit in my lap until I’m done working.” 20. “You’re so cute when you’re half asleep like this..”

A/N: i just started fall break so you might actually get recent updates (!!!!!!)

=====

John had been ignoring you lately.

Not actually ignoring you on purpose, because he was completely unaware of the effect it had on you. He was constantly talking with Alexander on the phone, working in his office.

You had talked to Eliza, Alexanders wife, about it, and somehow she had gotten used to it. Not completely, of course, she still wanted to be with her husband, but she had just learned to spend time with the kids.

You and John didn’t have kids, you were just married, and you thought it would be an exciting experience.

It wasn’t much different. Besides the first few days, where you were celebrating. Other than that, it was the same, just more talks about your talks about your future that had a bigger chance of happening.

Right now, he was in his office working on a paper for his job. You didn’t know what it was about, he had tried explaining it to you, but it was something you had no interest in.

You slipped on a pair of shoes, and took a look to see if you were presentable, at the least. You were just getting ice cream with Angelica and Eliza, but you still felt as if you needed to look nice.

You popped your head into Johns office, clearing your throat, “Uh, I’m going to be with Angelica and Eliza for a bit. I love you, and I’ll see you when I get back.”

John looked up, you could clearly see the dark bags under his eyes. His working late was a recent thing, it had never been a problem before, that’s one of the main reasons you didn’t like this– it was change, and in this case, change was not a good thing.

“What? Why?” He had put his pen down and was fully facing you now. You could see that he was still in his pajamas from the day before; you weren’t sure if he had had a shower in a while.

“Uh, we’re not doing anything, and I don’t have any other plans for the night. So, I thought it would be nice to go out with the girls.”

He frowned, “Babe, you know I can’t stop working–”

“I know! I’m not blaming this on you,” you were blaming it on his boss, “I’m just going out for a few, I’m sure my absence won’t make a difference, it hasn’t before.”

You instantly shut your mouth, throwing a hand over it, not believing that you had actually said that. To his face.

He was confused, a little sad, and looked absolutely defeated. Because he knew you were right.

“John, I'm–” you started.

“No, don’t be. C'mere and sit in my lap until I’m done working.”

You raised an eyebrow, “What?”

“I’m serious.”

You looked at him, and he looked very serious– though that may have just been the bags under his eyes. But you complied,

“Alright, Okay, let me go change and cancel my plans,” you sighed, not happyily or sadly, as you walked into your shared room with your boyfriend.

You ended up changing into some sweatpants and one of Johns t-shirts. It was one he always jokingly complains about you wearing, but you knew he loved it. Just like you knew he loved being called Johnny-Boy, or just Johnny.

You also had texted Eliza, telling her you couldn’t make it. She responded saying that she understood and you could do it some other time.

You walked in the doorway, he seemed to be waiting for you. He turned around on his spinny office chair and smiled, patting his lap.

“You know, I wonder if your starting to think this is going to do somewhere else?” You said jokingly, raising an eyebrow.

He gasped mockingly, “How dare you accuse me of such!”

You rolled your eyes and sat on his lap, throwing your arms around his neck and kissing his cheek. There were no words said, just a small laugh from him.

After a while, you could tell John was getting sleepier and sleepier. Every once in a while he would toss his head back over the chair, closing his eyes, and would take a deep breath. You’d reconnect your forehead with his temple,

“You know, you’re so cute when you’re half asleep like this…” it came out as a mumble through your soft smile. You opened your eyes, only to see he was smiling too.

He turned his head, this time his forehead connecting with yours, and he opened his eyes to see you already staring at him.

“Babe, lets go to bed. You need to go to bed,” you said, getting up.

“No,” he whined, sounding like he was nine years old, pulling you back down.

Yes,” you said. You grabbed his arm and pulled him up, after shutting his computer.

This time, he didn’t protest. You turned off the office light and pulled him down the hallway, towards your bedroom that you shared with him.

You pushed him into bed, quite lightly, as he landed on his back. He grunted as he pulled his jeans off, leaving him in a shirt and underwear, as you were already in a your sleeping wear.

You crawled in after him, throwing yourself on top of his chest, arms around his torso. He hummed quietly as he shuffled himself to get comfortable, and you soon fell asleep.

He certainly wasn’t ignoring you anymore.

I used to hack baby monitors. One night, I learned my lesson.

When I was in high school, my friends and I had a peculiar pastime. Like any teenage delinquent, we liked to cause trouble. We weren’t vandals, we didn’t deal drugs, and we certainly didn’t bully kids in school. No, we liked to scare the living shit out of new parents by “hacking” their baby monitors. We were insufferable little punks who thought we were too good to get caught, and that our little acts of mischief would go unpunished. One night; however, I learned my lesson, and realized that I wasn’t quite as bulletproof as my tremendous adolescent ego made me out to be.

Dimitri, Kurt, and I went to the same school, shared many of the same classes, and hung out almost every evening after chow time. We watched prank shows, played video games, talked about who had the nicest rack in school. One evening, we were trading scary stories at the park. Kurt shared the classic story about the single mother who heard a haunting voice on her baby monitor. Like most horror stories, it sounded like total bullshit, but Dimitri told us it had happened to his mom once. On her own monitor, she’d heard a neighbour singing to her baby. Apparently, it was possible to accidentally tap into someone else’s frequency. In an instant, a lightbulb turned on in each of our heads. When you’re close enough to someone, you don’t need words to know what that person is thinking, and we could all tell we were thinking the exact same thing: we were going to buy a baby monitor and screw with people.

Luke Imagine: Trying to Fix a Divorce

Author: Rhine

-

There was a time when you thought he loved you.

He had fooled you - he really did, with his soft forehead kisses and gentle caresses and quiet I love you’s that acted as a key to your heavily guarded heart. He opened it; cracked the safe open after patient waiting, and you let him.

You let his words fool you, you let the light in his bright blue eyes blind you, you let his touch suck out any doubts you had. You let him love you. You let yourself love him.

You let him take your heart.

And in a way, you set yourself up for letting him break it.

You thought you had something real with Luke. Something tangible, something indestructible, something infinite. You let yourself believe that what you had with Luke was love, that what you found was a once in a lifetime treasure.

He had tricked you well, you admit. He tricked you very well indeed.

He had fooled you with his first I love you, blue eyes twinkling, smiling bashfully as he waiting for your response. He had fooled you with every kiss, every laugh, every hug, every long conversation at three in the morning, bodies intertwined in a bed, talking about the universe and where the two of you fit. He had fooled you when he got down on one knee and told you that he wanted to be yours forever; that he’d be the happiest man on earth, that you completed him, that you were the one. He had fooled you exceptionally well on the day you walked towards him swathed in white, his bright blue eyes glimmering with tears - I vow to love you for the rest of my existence; for this life, for the next, forever because I finally know now my place in this universe, and it’s next to you.

He had fooled you very well that night. That night with him in his perfectly pressed tie and beam on his lips, that night where you danced with him for hours, where he leaned down to kiss you at the altar and took you for his own. The night where skin met skin, where you marked every crevice of his body as your own as he did the same to yours. The night where you joined in every way possible; the night where you had thought with a certainty in your bones, this is love.

You fell for it. You fell for it, every step of the way.

You thought your dreams were coming true. You thought you were living in some sort of fantasy when you married the man you loved - past tense - when you found out you were expecting, when you ultimately gave birth to the ray of sunshine that you would call your daughter.

You thought you had it all. A loving husband. A beautiful daughter. A perfect family.

But you learned the hard way that all things fade with time.

Your love for your precious daughter seemed to grow as Luke’s love for you diminished.

Your daughter was the light of your life - she was a part of you and you loved caring for her, no matter how tired you were. There was something in her bright blue eyes that pulled you to her, exactly like Luke’s that magnetized you.

You cared for her. You fed her and sang to her and you looked over her and played with her and read to her and you loved her with your whole heart, just like how you loved Luke.

But that changed. At least for him.

He started disappearing more and more, going to this place with the boys then going there to record then this gig and that venue - and you understood. You understood that it was his job, and this was what came with it.

But when Luke started coming back later and later, with photos on this website and that program of him and the boys out partying or seen in this club - you knew that wasn’t part of the job.

You confronted him about it, of course - but it only resulted in whisper arguments that hurt you more than screaming matches because you could hear the steady fury in his voice, an anger and weariness in his blue eyes that weren’t there before.

I’m just trying to have some fun.

And you’d laugh mirthlessly, eyes rolling.

I get that, Luke. I really do. But you’ve got other priorities now - a family. There are some other things that come before partying and drinks.

He never did change.

-

Luke had loved you in the beginning. He had loved you and your daughter, and the first few years were filled with happiness and joy and clumsy attempts at parenting that ended with laughter and stories to tell friends and family as a good dinnertime joke.

Your daughter’s first words. Her first step. Buying all the toys in the world for her and baking in the kitchen and singing to her on Sunday mornings. Hearing her chatter on and on about the strangest things that brought the both of you smiles in the morning and snuggling in close with each other - as a family - at night.

But as the months turned into years, it was as if his love dragged out. As if it was wearing thin.

You loved him infinitely, with all of your heart. But it was different for him.

You didn’t notice it at first. It was subtle, like soft waves starting to change direction. It wasn’t until some more time passed did you realize you were going the wrong way the whole entire time.

Luke was drifting away from you - slowly and surely, drifting away from the boy who smiled at you with innocent dimples in his cheeks, drifting away the man who told you he loved you and your daughter, lively blue eyes identical to hers as he played games with her, as he gazed into yours.

He was drifting away, and wherever he was going, it was clear that he wanted to go without you, despite his previous promises.

I promise I’ll always be by your side - forever and through infinity, through thick and thin, I’ll be there.

Always? Always.

Going, going…

… gone.

-

Sometimes he left for tour without a single phone call home.

And it hurt you when your beautiful daughter asked you when’s daddy coming back home?

You didn’t know. You didn’t know if he ever came back home again; not when there was something hollow in his eyes, lacking warmth, lacking love.

Soon, you always answered. Daddy’ll be back home soon.

Soon, the Luke that you loved would walk back through those doors with a smile on his lips and something sincere in his heart. Soon, the man that you loved would come back to you, just like he promised.

Soon.

-

You didn’t want to.

You really didn’t.

But you had to.

You had fretted over it for nights and weeks and months of tossing and turning on your bed, alone. You were conflicted and lost, and every time you sought warmth or comfort or guidance, you would reach out and find that you were alone.

Just cold sheets and a spot where someone else should be.

Luke.

And in the end, it was that empty space that echoed your decisions.

It’s for the best.

-

You deserved better.

You really did. You deserved someone who would help you do the dishes at night, someone to take turns doing the laundry, someone to help you fix the broken television or to help you clean the house on Sundays. You deserved someone to hold you to sleep at night and someone to come home to with a smile on their face, waiting. You deserved soft kisses on the lips after a long day of work and a long shower and cuddle sessions that melted all your worries away.

You weren’t the best person, you knew. But you thought you deserved at least that much.

And if not, then your daughter deserved better.

She deserved a father who would pick her up in his arms and carry her on his shoulders in the park. She deserved a father who would play tea party with her and a father who would kiss her head hello when he came home. She deserved a father who would protect her from the monsters under her bed, a father to watch over her as she skipped to school.

She, at the very least, deserved a phone call from her supposed father telling her where he was. Telling her that he missed her. That he loved her. That he’d be back soon.

Your daughter deserved a father.

Not a stranger who shared the same blue eyes that were always so distant and far away, even when he was in the same room.

-

You left the papers on his manager’s desk, folded into a white envelope with his name neatly printed on it.

You had already signed your name, contacted all the right people, went to all the meetings.

Your hands shook when you left it on the table, hesitating for a few minutes. Your breaths came out shaky and you clutched your bag so hard your knuckles nearly turned white.

But you steeled yourself and placed the envelope in the middle of his desk - to Mr. Luke Hemmings - and turned around, leaving before anyone else saw you there.

You didn’t have a place there any more.

You didn’t have a place in Luke’s heart any more.

Well, now he didn’t have a place in yours.

-

When’s daddy coming back again?

You held your daughter’s hand, suitcase in tow. She trailed beside you, her little pink suitcase rolling behind her, bumping in between the cracks of the sidewalk.

You had packed and left, spending the past three weeks putting your things in neat, organized boxes and shipping them to your family’s house, where you planned to stay for the next few months until you could find a place of your own.

That wasn’t home any more.

Daddy’s not coming back for a while, baby.

Your words are soft and gentle, and you try to bite back the tears. Your daughter still believed she had a father when you saw him leave a long, long time ago.

You told her the two of you would be moving - going to a new home and staying with some family for the time being.

Of course, this was met with a few temper tantrums and tears and questions that you had to painfully answer - alone, alone, always so painfully alone - but she complied. She bounced back. She always did.

And you would too.

You just didn’t know how to exactly tell your little daughter that Luke wouldn’t be there any more.

Why not?

The question is simple, innocent; punctuated by two, bright eyes that looked up at you with the utmost naivete.

It hurts you more than any wounded glare could.

Daddy’s busy. He’s very busy and he won’t be coming back.

Your words are light despite the burden on your shoulders.

Daddy’s never home any more. I miss daddy.

You start to feel the weight seep into you, and it leaves you weak, barely able to move on. Barely able to bring the last set of suitcases to your family home.

These past few weeks have been so, so tiring.

You tried to smile for your family, your friends, your daughter. But it never came out right any more. Not ever since Luke started to fade away.

There’s one more thing he took.

I miss him too.

Your words are quiet, but your daughter still hears them, her hands squeezing yours comfortingly.

But mommy’s here now. Mommy’s always going to be here for you, okay? I’m not going anywhere. Mommy’s not going to leave like daddy.

Your words start to shake with tears, but you’re not sure your daughter hears it. You hope she doesn’t. This hasn’t been easy on her too, whether or not she knows the full picture - it hasn’t been easy on either of you.

You had to stay strong. Just like you always did.

Promise?

You remember when you asked the very same thing to Luke, the same hopeful lilt in your voice as your daughter’s, so many years ago when he said he would stay by your side forever.

Oh, how things have changed.

But you haven’t. You still kept your promises, and though your heart is heavier guarded now, you still kept your word with your whole heart.

Though the positions are reversed now, you aren’t one to let someone you love down.

Promise.

-

He comes home to a half-empty house.

Half a closet full of clothes. Bedrooms bare, walls of pictures and drawings stripped. Bathroom counters left half-touched, kitchen empty.

It was eerie - how half the house was living, as if it was half-breathing, struggling to cling on to life. As if it was half dead already.

He’s confused and dazed and shocked, the silence turning numb in his ears.

When he picks up the call from his manager, the explanation falls on him like weights, pulling him down as he drowned in the emptiness.

Divorce.

He asks again, just to check. It can’t be true. It couldn’t be true.

Not when you were still in this very house six months ago, a half-smile on your lips and a happy beam on your daughter’s face.

(it was always a half-smile. the house was always half-empty - he just didn’t notice. he was the empty half, and now that he was truly alone, he sees just what he’s done.)

But that was six months ago.

Luke calls you, and your phone rings once, twice, three times.

You see the caller ID, and you know it’s him. You’ve been waiting for it.

You knew he was coming back today, sitting on the couch biting your nails, a nervous wreck.

But when you picked up the phone, you were calm, cool, and collected.

Unfeeling, despite the soft flickers that sparked once you heard his voice again.

Is this some sick joke?

You brace yourself, telling yourself to stand firm.

You remember the empty bed. You remember the questions of where’s daddy from your daughter’s lips, and you remember the loneliness that ate you inside out every night.

Does it look like I’m laughing, Luke? I can hardly remember the last time I've smiled because of you.

There’s silence.

You can hear him breathing on the other end; sharp, quick intakes of breaths as if he forgot how to breathe. As if he was suffocating.

Suffocating from the emptiness.

When he speaks again, his next words are cracked, broken. Chipped on the edges and hoarse when they leave his throat.

Come back home.

You can’t hold back a mirthless laugh, your voice twisted in a way that you can barely recognize.

Can’t you see, Luke? I was always there. Always waiting. It was you who never came back. You were the one who never came back, and guess what?

You take a deep breath, trying to pace yourself and refrain from letting all the bitterness and anger seep into your voice.

I’m finding a new home.

He’s silent, as still as stone. He doesn’t say a word, and you didn’t expect him to.

You hang up the phone, and Luke can’t help but to think that the flat line sounds a lot like a final goodbye.

I love your writing, and I'm a huge fan. Can you please do Corlas- Silas bonding with his Hoshidan In laws?

Thank you thank you thank you!! I’m so honored that you love my writing. I’m so happy you are my fan!!!! It means the world to me that you say so, thank you.

This took so long to write, but I hope it was worth the wait. I truly do. And I think I started crying while writing Ryoma’s part. Idk why. Don’t judge me. I only got three hours of sleep and it’s almost 1am again why do I do this to myself.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

1. Takumi

Silas stares down at the bow in his hand, testing the weight of it before looking up. Across the training field lies four targets, all lined up side-by-side. “So… just aim and shoot?”

“Pretty much,” Takumi mutters. He tosses Silas a bag of arrows before grabbing his own, swinging it over his shoulder and positioning the bag securely across his back. “There really isn’t much to archery than that. Want to watch me first?”

Prompt‘You’re baking cookies in the communal kitchen at three in the morning and I’m angry, but also really hungry’ College AU

There’s four things Jackson has learned so far in his first semester of college:

  1. College students never sleep
  2. College students do really weird shit in the middle of the night
  3. The walls in this place are really fucking thin. And
  4. Having the dorm next to the communal bathroom and kitchen is a living nightmare.

Any chance on you continuing reference material? I thought it was absolutely amazing. One of the best things I've read recently

Thank you so much, Anon! Hopefully this lives up to the original (which can be read here for anyone who’d like to do so).

And yay! I’m posting this for #CastleThemeDay.

TGIF

“She’s driving me insane, Rick.”

It’s not the most gracious greeting she could give him, especially after a long week of barely seeing each other, but her boyfriend doesn’t seem to mind.

“Hi, honey, how was your day?” he teases, stepping aside to allow her entry into his apartment. She’d been a little annoyed when he’d simply buzzed her up instead of coming downstairs to meet her, but judging by the smells in his place, he’d been in the middle of cooking the dinner he’d promised her. He’s forgiven.

Sheepish, Kate stretches onto her toes to kiss his cheek. “Sorry. I’m just, ugh, the end of the year can’t come fast enough. Hell, spring break can’t come fast enough.”

“That bad, huh?” Rick slips his hand down her arm, lacing their fingers together in solidarity. “You gonna last another two weeks?”

“You joke, but at this point I’m really not sure. She complained for four hours last night about how much work she has, then proceeded to kill her light as I was studying, and bitched when I turned on my desk lamp.”

He nods, tilting his head. “And today?” His thumb swipes her knuckles, coaxing the rest of the story out of her. He always does this, nudges her toward letting it out and talking things through.

“She left a passive-aggressive note on the hall bulletin board about how we need to be conscientious that our study habits don’t negatively impact the sleep of others.”

“What a bitch,” Rick murmurs, squeezing her hand.

“Yeah,” she sighs. “It’s like freshman year all over again. But the upside is she’s not here, and I brought a bottle of wine to help me get through another night of your terrible movies.”

He laughs, pulling her closer. “My terrible movies are what got you to kiss me for the first time, Beckett. You love them.”
