Magnus Bane, ray of sometimes salty sunshine, man who helps everyone that comes barging through his door, protects his downworlders, has finally found love again…

is dealing with…

… being trapped in Valentine’s body. Arrested and tortured and questioned. Possibly being hit or shoved or otherwise treated violently by his lover, who clearly does not immediately realize it’s him in Valentine’s body. Is in the body of a genocidal shadowhunter who just killed hundreds of his people. Is about to get executed in said body for said crimes. Has his home, his life, his relationships, his body being violated by this genocidal shadowhunter. There are so many violations of Magnus’ person right now that I just can’t breathe with it.

And I still see posts about how Alec will feel. I love Alec. But this story line is Magnus’. This is Magnus’ pain. His violation. All of it. It’s his. I need to see him dealing with it, good or bad. I need to see him being taken care of and reassured and given what he needs to process what’s happened to him.

I was thinking of Blue Paladin Keith
  • Keith: Okay girl so let's just try to get along and-
  • Blue: You hurt my boy and I'll destroy you
  • Keith:
  • Keith:
  • Keith:
  • Keith: ...What?
  • Blue: It wouldn't even be that hard, you are like a baby

Happy father’s day!! friendly reminder that keith’s dad:

  • abandoned him “so many years” ago, and never even told him why
  • raised and left keith in a run down shack in the middle of the desert
    • said shack doesnt even have a bed, so keith likely slept on this decrepit looking couch thing with this thin cloth for a blanket
    • because keith had no other relatives or place to go, and due to the shack’s location, enlisting in the garrison was likely one of keith’s only options
  • his absent father also seems to be the root of all his abandonment issues, which is probably a big part of why he’s also so affected by losing shiro and has trouble opening up to people
  • mr kogane also never told his son anything about being half-alien that could’ve possibly helped him understand why he feels so lost, or to help prepare him for anything that might happen with the galra in the future
    • instead, he just leaves keith with the bom knife and tells him nothing about it
    • doesnt tell him anything about his mom either
    • this ensures that keith’s only way of finding out his past would be to endure a perilous cult-like initiation that either ends in “knowledge or death,” which could’ve totally killed him
  • it might just be because keith’s having this weird nightmare vision, but his dad in bom sure seems…strange. like, how he keeps the windows blocked off and keeps telling keith everything will be fine if they just stay inside. if those lines were pulled from like a repressed memory or something, then the implications just…arent very good…

ya i just…. i would fight keith’s dad

On Keith and leaving Allura behind

One thing I’ve always wanted to clear up is the ‘Keith is cold-hearted’ thing. I can see how the scene of him being ready to leave Allura behind might come across as such, to quote Hunk: “Keith, that’s cold-hearted even for you.”

But that is not how things actually are. Let me explain why he acted the way he did back then, because Keith has had just as many emotions about it as everyone else.

Keith is rational, observant and tends to state stuff exactly as it is, with all facts lied out to make sure that everyone gets the whole picture. (see: how he explained his board in s1e1, how he argues with Lance at the beginning of s1e3 etc.) He has been known to accept critique pretty well - he actively tries to work on his temper (“patience yields focus”) and accepted that Lance’s plan was better than his in s1e7. In turn, however, he expects people to treat him the same way. If there isn’t any evidence to contradict it, he takes things people tell him at face value and accepts them as facts. It is one of the reasons him and Lance clash often, Keith can be found constantly correcting Lance’s statements and Lance doesn’t appreciate that.

This is coupled with his rational personality. I have no doubt that part of that comes from having been forced to grow up without a family and people to comfort him when he was feeling lost, he has had to deal with reality screwing him over quite a lot of times already. He is extremely cautious and protective of his friends when a possible threat appears (see: how he placed himself in front of the team when Klaizap appeared in s1e2), probably exactly because he knows that when they are gone, they are gone. That happened to his dad, that happened to Shiro.

And now he thinks the same thing has happened to Allura.

It is not that he doesn’t want to help her - because he does. He really does, he even said so himself. (And he wasn’t lying. We all know that Keith is an absolutely horrible liar.) In his mind, there were four facts battling with one another: 1) I want to save my friend; 2) “the ship that is headed to Zarkon’s central command?” “the place that’s way too dangerous for us to attack?” (a direct quote from an exchange between Hunk and Keith from s1e10. Keith had accepted that information a fact); 3) we are fighting against an enemy we know next to nothing about; and 4) I am responsible for the entire universe and I can only protect it with Voltron, for which Allura technically isn’t essential.

So he stands there and goes through all the facts. And he comes to the - absolutely logical - conclusion that it is too dangerous to go to Zarkon’s headquarters. He could lose even more friends. He could lose the universe’s only hope. So he does what he always does: suppress his emotions for the greater good. He did that there, he did it when he decided to give up the blade in s2e8.

But then the others turn against him. We can’t see his face when they begin to vehemently protest against his statement-

-but I have no doubt that it would be serious and reflective. The backlash would have made him reconsider the conclusion he had come to. Because that’s what he does when he faces critique: take a step back and reevaluate. Obviously, fact 2) wasn’t quite right. [Also note how open his body language is, he is more than willing to discuss this.]

And once the execution of their plan starts, which means an actual chance for getting his friend back, he is right at the front of the group again.

Keith isn’t cold-hearted. Not at all. Does this look like the face of a cold-hearted person to you?

Because that is the face he made when he came to the conclusion that it would be too dangerous to save Allura. He is not happy about it. He genuinely believed that she was already lost and they were about to condemn the universe for a suicide rescue mission. If there is anything he can do to save his friends, he will do it. Like, seriously - he had never seen Zarkon before that episode. For all he knew, Zarkon could be 5ft tall, wield magic and be immortal. But as soon as he saw a normal-sized Galra in armor, Zarkon suddenly became less of an abstract concept and more of something that he has an actual fighting chance against. Look at how his attitude towards him changed in season 2, at the end of it he volunteered to infiltrate Zarkon’s base on his own!

(Also. He was the one that asked Allura if she was sure that she wanted to come with them: “I’m sorry, princess, did you say ‘we’?!” in s1e10. He was worried for her. There is no way he didn’t want her back.)

Keith constantly watches out for the greater good. It’s what he told Pidge when she wanted to leave to go look for her family - “everyone in the universe has families!” - and what he did when he gave up finding out about his past in the Trials of Marmora. He pushes his own emotions down because he genuinely believes one person’s life and/or comfort isn’t worth putting the entire universe at risk. And that does not equal being cold-hearted.

tl;dr: Keith has had perfectly valid reasons why he hesitated to go on the rescue mission. He wanted her back just as much as everyone else. He is not a cold-hearted asshole.

I'm probably a little ignorant but... About the list of writers you would punch: why?

dude don’t worry you’d probably only read most of these pretentious fucks if you were a pretentious english major like me lmao

  1. charles dickens: too many characters. ridiculously long books (like an average of 500+ pages) even though most of his shit could have had half the word count if he wasn’t so fucking longwinded. his plots are creative but at what cost
  2. f. scott fitzgerald: overrated imo. also became an alcoholic later in life, probably stole a lot of ideas from his wife, used her as his ‘muse’ but didn’t like. support her when she had mental health issues. fittingly, most of his female characters are weird unattainable trophies instead of actual people
  3. john steinbeck: this is more of a personal opinion but he’s so boring. i actually like his writing style (it’s pretty easy to understand), but he deserves a punch for making me read grapes of wrath
  4. william faulkner: reading as i lay dying is what i imagine having a stroke feels like. i’ve been informed that i should dislike faulkner more for being a cheating bastard than his actual writing though
  5. percy shelley: ‘edited’ frankenstein by swapping out common words for pretentious alternatives and making it 200% harder to read. i’ll never forgive him for what he did to that beautiful book
  6. ayn rand: blah blah blah helping people is bad blah blah blah capitalism is good blah blah blah altruism is a plague. that’s the plot of every single one of her novels and she’s a longwinded fuck, so she’ll hit you over the head with that social darwinistic bullshit for 700+ pages. racist and pretentious and i think i actually want to fight her the most

honestly i feel like i would punch most 19th-20th century writers at least once though

  • Betty: Get up and hit me, you fucking pussy!
  • Reggie: I'm not gonna fight a girl, so just stop!
  • Betty: Doesn't matter. If you thought of me as a person and not a woman, you'd hit me and not feel bad about it! *punches Reggie* Bring it! Oh, I'm ready...
  • Reggie: It's on now dog...Girl fight. *punches Betty*
  • Betty: Ah! Ow! Is there blood in my eye? I think there's blood in my eye!
  • Reggie: Oh my god. *tries to console her, she punches him*
  • Betty: Fucking learn how to hit you little bitch!

random phone screencaps of Lin in Do No Harm because I love this character a lot and he deserved so much better

AYYY HERE HE IS
I was drawing this one like 2 times because I changed the first one to more cartoon-ish style (that didn’t looked good enough) so here’s the final version!
Feel free to save it and use it to your own body pillow (if you do, please send me a photo or tag me in it! )
I’m also planning on making Flug so if I’ll ever do him I’ll put the link here

Percival Graves is (probably) a good man

Another instalment of my headcanon series…

  • Percival was on a secret mission when he got captured and detained by Grindelwald, which is why no one noticed his absence
  • Plus Grindelwald only took his place for a few days
  • He is still enraged when he is freed and understands what happened
  • People get fired when he comes back. Some get hexed too

  • He insists that Tina is promoted a few weeks later
  • They have an open-heart discussion about what happened while he was “away” and they end up being quite good friends

  • When he learns about Credence’s “death”, he’s the one to get funerals set up and to make sure there’s a place to go to mourn him
  • He also takes his dispositions to make sure every one of the kids that were helped by Mary-Lou is safe and taken good care of

  • Tina eventually tells him that Credence is actually alive and well and away
  • But she also insists that they can’t meet as it would probably traumatise both of them
  • He doesn’t like the idea but gets convinced by the necessity of preserving both Credence and himself
  • He still asks her to tell Credence he would like to meet him if he ever wants to
  • She does tell him, two years later, when Credence asks about the real Mr.Graves
  • They eventually meet and it’s painful and awkward but also offers them both a sort of closure

  • His favourite colours are bright orange and light green
  • Percival has the worst fashion sense
  • He goes to work all pretty and dressed up because he knows how to follow a trend
  • But when he’s at home he wears the ugliest jumpers ever
  • They’d burn your eyes if you looked at them for too long

  • He was a bit concerned when his hair started greying but when no one made fun of him at work he just started forgetting about it
  • Except when his colleagues annoy him. Then he blames it on them
  • He doesn’t have lots of friends, but those he has go back to school and he would trust them with his life
  • There was a rumour he was secretly married to Seraphina Picquery. They never laughed so hard together before the day they learned about it
  • They’re not even actual friends, but they do have a lot of respect for each other
  • They both think the other’s job is incredibly difficult and they wouldn’t want to exchange their places

Other headcanons :

Credence  Queenie  Newt  Tina  Jacob

so you only care about eleanor’s safety when video evidence surfaces of her literally being attacked…interesting.

things I laugh & then get sad about:

alicia and bob were both pretty prominent celebrities, so it’s very likely that her pregnancy was closely followed. I can’t even imagine all the jokes about the beautiful/perfect baby they would make, all the people reading every magazine article about the pregnancy. poring over every photo of alicia’s gorgeous maternity clothes. bad bob does about a million interviews about how excited he is, how ready he is to be a dad.

and then jack is born.

instagram fandom

this is what you’re not going to do

- call finn RUDE for saying that mileven isn’t real. it’s not. it’s a fictional ship between fictional characters.

- constantly throw “fillie” in his face. he is fourteen years old. stop shipping him with his cast mates, it’s weird. they’re kids. stop doing that.

- say he’s acting differently towards fans when he’s with his friends. obviously? when you’re in the spotlight you’re going to act different on camera than how you act around your friends and family.

he is fourteen years old, guys. give him a break. the insta fandom is so dramatic and imo they are being babies. he shouldn’t have had to apologize to anyone for anything he said on his livestream. y’all are going to drive this kid off of all social media if you keep accusing him of being rude/different. he doesn’t have to act any type of way towards any of us. again: he is f o u r t e e n.
