i'm emotional about it okay

man but honestly few things fuck me up as much as when adam says in trb “i think you’ll find i do pretty much everything quiet”, because on one hand, as a massive introvert, i super relate– but on the other hand, when you think about the heartbreaking implications of that sentence, it’s like, fuck. fuck, of course you do

you laugh quietly because your dad is always angry, you cry quietly because the neighbors don’t care about your bruises; you’re quiet about your achievements because the kids from the trailer park don’t really care about your straight As, and you’re quiet in school because you’re ashamed of your accent; you think quietly because it makes it easier to pull apart your emotions and sort them into logical containers, and you love quietly because you don’t quite know how yet, and because in the dusty back roads of henrietta, virginia, a boy who loves girls and boys is not quite safe.

you brave, lonesome boy, of course you do everything quiet; how could it be otherwise?

Listen, listen. The fact Eliot Spencer’s response to Parker being upset and asking if they could kill the guy who upset her was a shrug and, “Yeah. I mean, I could.” will never, ever not be important to me.

  • me: Oh I can't wait to read metas and watch gifs and omg I'm sure everyone is talking about how Dean needs Cas so bad, how much pain he is going throught but how finally hope has found its way back to him. And that moment when Dean and Cas see each other. THE PHONE CALL, HE CALLED DEAN.

i’m still not over the fact that lance pushes aside all of his feelings of wanting to be black’s pilot in order to comfort keith, who was chosen but fighting against it. lance swallowed his pride, wholeheartedly believed in black’s choice, and immediately went into supportive friend mode. he may have his hopes and ambitions, but he won’t let that blind him from black’s will. the fate of the universe is at stake after all, and lance won’t let something as arbitrary as his personal feelings get in the way of saving everyone.

the thing that impresses me most about the mental health storytelling on One Day at a Time isn’t just that it exists, it’s that so much of it is dependent on Penelope’s own agency. I can’t think of many (any???) other shows where someone goes to therapy because they WANT to, because they personally make that decision based on available information and curiosity and not in some kind of state of crisis or needing an intervention from a healthy character. She does it, she likes it, she continues to go because she’s getting something personally out of it, which in itself is remarkable because of the narrative of mental health treatment being a tournament of suffering before you’re allowed any kind of relief. She even finds community and connection with the women in her group!!!!

It is just beyond refreshing to see a character who takes medication (again, because she’s like, maybe I want to do this, and decides to), whose mental health struggles are explicitly a part of her life, but who is also a stubborn goofy beautiful brave weirdo who enjoys her life and has so much else going on in it

that’s not even getting into the fact that this character is a woman of color, a woman with chronic pain, a woman who is consistently portrayed as a extremely competent at her job and a great mom and a great daughter and friend and person

the main reason I love alex ovechkin is that he’s so unapologetic for who he is?? he’s a really really good player and he knows that very well, and he loves himself and isn’t afraid to show that to people. still, he isn’t selfish, he cares about others - his teammates, fans etcetc. and it’s wonderful

and i’m like…..so done seeing people call him a douche for recognizing the talent in himself and bringing that up. besides, he wouldn’t be where he is now without the effort his brother sergei, who passed away when alex was 10, put into getting him to practice and I think that most of his love for himself and his talent is also love for his brother. one of his childhood friends has even said that sergei is the reason why alex is so passionate on the ice and I just?? how COULD you still dislike this man

“You might want money. Maybe you want women. Or, you might want to protect the world. These are all common things people want. Things that their hearts desire. Greed may not be good, but it’s not so bad, either. You humans think greed is just for money and power! But everyone wants something they don’t have.”

Okay but I’m? Hella on board with Lilino

  • Nino searches up Italian songs and and translates them into French just so he can make the perfect mixtapes for Lila
  • Lila? cries because it’s the first time someone’s actually done something nice for her
  • Nino’s crazy into languages, so he begs Lila to speak in Italian to him
  • Whenever she does, he stares at her in awe for fifteen minutes tops
  • Lila makes it a habit to steal Nino’s hat off his head when she walks past him every morning
  • It baffles everyone else because Nino never lets anyone take his hat but he just rolls his eyes when Lila does it
  • Lila’s actually been playing the flute for years and she loves playing for Nino
  • Lila starts using her story telling techniques to write stories, and Nino makes the perfect writing playlists for her
  • Someone tries to embarrass Lila about lying so much when she was new, and Nino spent thirty eight minutes chewing them off. He only stopped because Lila burst into tears
  • Lila pretends to forget French words just so she can say them in Italian because it always perks Nino up
  • Listen, I’m not implying anything… but it’s not a coincidence that after Lila moves to Paris, she buys everything with music notes on it
  • I’m definitely implying something
  • Nino doesn’t like giving gifts because he thinks they’re a cheap  gesture, but he makes it a habit to give Lila a necklace every year on her birthday after she tells him she’s never gotten a decent birthday present
  • He takes it upon himself to show Lila all the sights of Paris since her parents are too busy to do so
  • They both procrastinate ridiculously, and instead of doing what they need to, they come up with the most outlandish excuses for why they haven’t
  • Lila loves leaving little notes all over Nino’s stuff

Wilson Fisk & James Wesley + text posts

So I get so angry and frustrated with healthy (BOTH physically and mentally) people are lazy. I just can’t stand it because they’re wasting that perfectly good body to sit on their asses and do nothing. Or even have not healthy people do stuff for them.

It makes me so mad because I would kill to have a working body so I could do all the things I’m dying to do. I’d kill to be able to work out and go on adventures and travel the world…and just exist happily in no pain. I would kill for that. I think about it every day.

And then here are these certain people who could do all that and more. But they’re sitting on their asses doing nothing. Too lazy to even walk down the street for something or take the trash out or whatever. It kills me. I just want to scream at them.

I know this isn’t the nicest opinion but it’s something I feel. It’s something that makes me cry and rage. I just want a working body so badly and they’re wasting theirs.

you know what makes me really really sad about Be More Chill? especially the whole Jeremy/Michael thing? Michael totally saw it coming. when Jeremy tells him about the squip, his first reaction is to make sure that Jeremy isn’t going to be too cool for “video games” (aka, too cool to hang out with him) and that’s when Jeremy says that Michael is his “favorite person” and that they’re “never not gonna be a team”

and michael totally believes him, because why wouldn’t he, right? and then Jeremy ignores him for weeks, and then the Halloween party happens, and basically i can see why it hits Michael so hard- Jeremy had already promised that nothing, even the squip, would come between them

and then it did

“Still, I see your face and wonder
Were You once an outcast, too?”

Alan Menken/ Stephen Schwartz, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, God Help the Outcasts

Once a refuge for any and all, Notre-Dame de Paris has fallen under the control of tyrants and witch hunters. Adopted by a traveling band of witches after her parents’ execution and now making her living as a street dancer, Bonnie Bennett dreams of a day when all can walk free beneath the spires of Notre-Dame. Imprisoned for centuries in the dungeons below, hybrid Niklaus Mikaelson gave up any hope for freedom long ago, until one night he hears a voice lifted in song, a young witch’s prayer for her people, for all supernatural kind.

Prince Charming Is A Lie (Or Possibly Hellspawn)

Look, it’s 1am which is way later that I’m usually awake (because 25 is the new 80) and I wrote a thing because feelings occurred. So have 2.5k of feelings occurring.

Blame the sleeplessness if it’s terrible.

“I think it was a mistake to kiss me, that first time.”

Derek doesn’t look at him, continues to play with his fingers and Stiles feels like there’s a lead weight in the pit of his stomach.

"How so?“ His voice is barely a croak. They’ve been together for a year, now, and if Derek thought their first kiss was a mistake, then maybe he’s just felt obligated to continue the relationship. Maybe the nebulous ideas Stiles has for a future have all been for nothing.

Derek frowns and Stiles knows not to interrupt when he’s thinking – when he furrows his brow that particular way, he’s trying to figure out the best way to articulate something. Derek can hold his own in an argument, and is never at a particular loss for words, but sometimes he pauses to make sure the words he’s picking are the most effective.

It’s what, Stiles thought, makes him so good for Stiles, who doesn’t think about what’s coming out of his mouth until twenty seconds after it’s already said. Derek’s arguments are carefully constructed and solid, while Stiles’ sow chaos and account for the inevitability of any plan going to hell in a handbasket, and they work together.

 At least, he’d thought so.
