i'm done with james in this movie

Normally, we see technology and progress in science-fiction movies, but the Ravagers are guys who love muscle cars. The sensation of touch is important to them. So even though there are ways to make a spaceship that doesn’t tremble, they want to feel the trembling. They want the tactile sensation of feeling their hands on the buttons, to feel everything they’re interacting with.
—  James Gunn

Aw gosh, guys, I found my post about the relationship between Peter and Gamora again, where I talked about how well done that romance is and – I just noted just how amazingly well Peter’s and Gamora’s behavior and reactions during their developing relationship is.

Peter is the slightly more “pushy” one. He’s not cornering Gamora, doesn’t pressure her and is very aware of her boundaries. When he flirts, it’s in a tame way, at least for him. When he touches her, he does so slowly, waiting to see if she’s okay with it. But still he would like to hear her say that she likes him, too, and really – remembering how he grew up, that makes terribly sense: Peter lost his Mum way too soon, in a terrible way, and after that, he grew up with Yondu and the Ravagers, and while Yondu did and does love Peter, he could never say so. Peter desperately wants to make sure that he is loved by Gamora and wants to hear her say it back because it’s been so long that someone has told him that.  And Peter is an affectionate person, he needs love and affection, something he was rather deprived off since his Mum died.

Gamora, on the other hand, while clearly interested and slowly easing into family, friends and love, keeps her distance to Peter to a degree. She likes and loves him, alright, but she cannot say so, and again, you cannot fault her for that – Gamora lost everyone she loved when Thanos took her. Knowing Thanos’ “parenting skills”, he would have taken every sign of interest, affection or love from Gamora to anyone as a sign of weakness and would have disposed of the distraction and punished her for it. Gamora is used to lose what and whom she loves, she’s used to hiding when she truly feels for someone, afraid of losing that loved one and being hurt terribly once she speaks it out loud or shows it too obviously.

This dynamic and their whole behavior is so well-done and thought-out and realistic, I’m absolutely amazed. Big, big thank you to Marvel and James Gunn for making this happen, and Saldana and Pratt for acting it out so amazingly.

FOR ONCE MC X JAMES SHIPPERS CAN PROSPER LMAO THEY MAY HAVE DONE US DIRTY (REAL DIRTY) WITH THE BOOK COVER BUT… THEY TOOK THE GLASSES AWAY. BITCH. YES. MY SKIN IS CLEAR! MY HAIR IS SHINING! MY EYE BAGS ARE GONE! HE IS SERVING ME CLASSIC. HE IS SERVING ME MOVIE STAR! HE IS GIVING IT TO ME HONEY!

Hey and hello! I am neither James nor a Gunn. But my dad, who’s very squicky ‘bout movies staying movies, has said he likes your art, when I showed it to him. He said it’s good. That’s a thing, because he’s a (not famous or anything) aquarell artist and has sold regionally. And he stated that Yondu looks like him, but a smurf. Opinion | Amber Tamblyn: I’m Done With Not Being Believed
A man called me a liar, and it reminded me of all the people who have doubted me.
By Amber Tamblyn

“I told this story publicly as a way to back up the claim that Mr. Woods was, indeed, a hypocrite. Mr. Woods called my account a lie. What would I get out of accusing this person of such an action, almost 20 years after the fact? Notoriety, power or respect? I am more than confident with my quota of all three.

Even then, why would I choose the guy from “Scary Movie 2” to help my stature when I’m already married to the other guy from “Scary Movie 2”?”

An incredible piece of writing and an important message from Amber Tamblyn.  Good reading for all people.

“Mila and I have done a ton of things together. The first movie we did was for Funny or Die on the internet; it was performance love at first sight […] We’re just made for each other, I guess.”

Lifestyle illustration homework: full page about a movie due to come out this year. I was assigned the new James Bond movie, Spectre, and supposed to do something about Cold War spies and mystery and subterfuge and all that fun stuff. I’m a weirdo and my favorite Bond movie is actually The Living Daylights… mostly because of Timothy Dalton being awfully miscast and therefore the most sympathetic iteration of Bond for me aha.

I’m not sure yet if this is done! I might still make tweaks.

top 5 movie scores

This is a terrible question. umm in no particular order:

Mononoke Hime (because I’m just choosing one Joe Hisaishi score, even though all of them are amazing. I love Nausicaa and Kiki and Totoro all so, so much, but this must be my favorite) ‘cause it has all these swelling things in it that fill up my heart

Black Beauty - The most underrated Danny Elfman score?? Like Beetlejuice and Sleepy Hollow and other things are great, but this is the best. It’s so pretty. I have so many feelings. Have you guys watched Black Beauty lately? Alan Cumming is the voice and it’s so pretty and good.

Lord of the Rings - ‘Cause it’s majestic af and a lot of good things happen in it. Like the Rohan… theme… or whatever it is… is so frickin’ good.

Back to the Future - Another trilogy and it’s really good I like it

Pirates of the Caribbean, but especially the third one - Have you listened to this soundtrack? It’s excellent. I haven’t listened to it as much lately but it’s one of the best.

Honorable mentions to The Hours (Philip Glass goodness) aaand The Lion King (there are some sections in that…) and along those lines Prince of Egypt (these are both Hans Zimmer aren’t they) and Atlantis ‘cause it has that REALLY GOOD PART. And I mean Star Wars, but it’s almost ridiculous to say.

I'm very new in mcfassy fandom. Please tell me, did they actually fuck in some movie or is this just the fantasy of shippers?

Hello, dear. Welcome :))
We ship Charles and Erik from the X-Men movies. Besides xmen Michael and James haven’t done anything else together. But they are really cute and dorky during promo interviews, so it’s hard not to ship them too xD I mean how adorable is this:

And of course the hardest shipper of us all:
