Since I am a constantly overworked and underslept human being, I enjoy caffeine and the benefits it brings.
But since the beginning, I have hated coffee. Black Tea? YES. Energy Drinks? Maybe. In emergencies only, as they make me vibrate wildly and I can’t paint straight lines.
But the ASM for this show (who I wish I could have a pocket version of to take with everywhere because she is a total ray of sunshine) set up a cute little coffee service for the cast and crew and goddammit I am going to try, try again.
She’s home, she’s okay. She’s eating normally, drinking normally, just tired and sore. I’m so proud of her. She is everything, my Turd is my entire heart. She is a Good Dog and I hope she feels better soon, but for now I’m drinking and she’s sleeping.
they tell you that it’s brave to be strong, to keep marching on with a straight face even if tears are flowing down your cheeks and even if your feet are bloodied from dragging them across rocky ground time and time again.
but sometimes, i don’t want to be brave. sometimes, i just want someone to hold me and stroke my hair and tell me that the universe is a lil bitch and that i don’t deserve it. sometimes, i want to be weak.
As always you do not have to do this if you don’t feel like it and sorry if we don’t know each other too well^^ If I don’t talk to you that often I would love to get to know you and you all have wonderful blogs(:
Hey! I'm trying to loose weight and want to know how to stay away from sugars and what foods to eat to help me?? I'm doing 1-2 gym classes 6 days a week now and also drinking plenty of water, lemon water and green tea.
Well done! It sounds like you’re really motivated.
In terms of what foods to eat, check out my clean eating page.
For staying away from sugar, many people advise that if you are tempted by something, don’t have it in the house, but what if you’re not in control of what’s in the house?
It’s all about discipline. You need to decide what you want, the short term or long term satisfaction. That drive has to come from you.
Some tips to help you get there: try to picture food as what it can do for you, what nutrients it can provide you, and how you will feel afterwards. If you associate chocolate with 56g of sugar per 100g, and with how you feel afterwards, then you might feel stronger in turning it down.
You can also fill up on what you have for dinner to avoid late night snacking. Vegetables take up more space per calorie than meat or carbs.
This brings me to other things you can have instead of chocolate/ice cream/doughnuts/soda if you simply must have something. Fresh fruit like a banana or some strawberries. Dried fruit like apricots and dates. Small amounts of nuts like pistachios and cashews. Skinny popcorn is great too.
Try switching to these healthy treats first and then gradually weening yourself completely off eating when you’re not hungry. If you know you’re just craving food because you’re bored then try herbal tea instead, there are so many flavours to choose from, it fills you up with liquid, and it gives you something to do with your hands while you’re watching TV or whatever.
