Tony Stark, for the longest time, struggled with his ability to read. There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that, even at four years old, Tony was genius with a potential to do amazing things but few people knew just how much he strived to learn things that most people considered simple, like the alphabet. He was simply lost when it came to letters despite how he was already excelling mathematically and scientifically. He feared what Howard would do once he found out that his son, who knew Binary Code like the back of his hand, couldn’t even write his own name.
(Side Note: He struggled with this secret until he was nearly six years old and his favourite Aunt dropped in for a visit. Peggy came across Tony sobbing in one of the many hidden corridors of the Stark Mansion, terrified of his father learning about his inability to read. Rather than mocking him for his gap of knowledge, Peggy simply sat down beside him and taught him the alphabet. It took a while
and although she had to stay an extra two weeks, Peggy made sure that by the
time she had to go, Tony knew his ABC’s almost as well as he knew his Binary
Hey, i'm finally reading the raven boys! I'm really enjoying it but my question is whether it gets more queer. I'm not really interested in the heterosexual love triangle that's happening
short, spoiler-free answer: yes, it gets queerer.
slightly longer, still relatively spoiler-free answer: The Raven Boys is the chill, normal set-up for all the a) WEIRDNESS, b) QUEERNESS and c) ILLEGAL SHENANZ that happen in The Dream Thieves. you’re gonna love it. it’s guh-hay, and the ‘love triangle’ stops being a love triangle pretty quick. REGARDLESS, you will EAT THOSE WORDS, friend! the heterosexuals in this series are SOOOO MUCH. wait until they’re like, chastely touching hands and losing their shit about it. it’s like Pushing Daisies meets that one bit in the 2005 Pride and Prejudice where Darcy flexes his hand after helping Elizabeth into the carriage. I haven’t been this fukt up over Straights in AN AGE!!!
REALLY SPOILERISH ANSWER, THAT I CANNOT RESIST GIVING, BECAUSE YOU MENTIONED THE “““LOVE TRIANGLE””” AND THE LACK OF QUEERNESS IN THE RAVEN BOYS IN THE SAME ASK, SORRY, LOOK AWAY NOW IF YOU DON’T WANT MINOR ROMANCE PLOT POINTS REVEALED TO YOU BEFORE THEIR TIME, GOOD-O:our own Ronan Lynch is gay and has a huge crush on/is in love with Adam, depending on who you ask. the crush/love is canon, what is [touches wood] [crosses fingers] [prays to Jesus] ABOUT TO BECOME CANON in The Raven King is that Adam LIKES HIM BACK*, they’re gonna KISS and, if it’s anything like All The Fanfiction I’ve been reading recently, probably dramatically shag the hell out of each other in Cabeswater while it’s raining and they’re crying, or something. (*Adam already likes him back IMO, it’s just not obvious because Maggie Stiefvater is really, really good at writing Around things.) so yeah, she took one of the boys from The Heterosexual Love Triangle and decided to have him ditch the sitch and eventually get together with another boy (see: wood, fingers, Jesus), while making sure the remaining Love Triangle kids can’t even kiss each other and are dying of lust. or, in Gansey’s case, just dying. haha.
You wanna know what we need more of? People actually talking about APH Sweden’s relationships with the Nordics OTHER THAN APH FINLAND like there is so much potential and yet everyone seems so focused on portraying him as following Fin around everywhere and being completely obsessed with him to the point where it’s creepy
I found myself as a breezy fan. Well, I'm obsessed with him actually. But that cj post confused me? I've only really started to love love him in the last 2 years, and I'm pissed off that I missed something. Would you mind explaining what cj means?
