i'm actually going to do this this time

Sooo when it was first announced that we'd be getting a yoi movie I always joked about flying to Japan just to see it. But the more that I think about it the more I actually wanna do it. So thoughts? Advice? Anyone else wanna join me lmao? Since I would be going alone as nobody else in my life has the interest or the money. I think it would be fun to go as a group :)

COUNT ME IN, ANON! i joked about it at first too, and now i’m seriously considering doing it! if we end up doing this, we def should form a group and all go together! it’d be amazing ahhh ♥ the only “big” thing i have coming up atm is going to milan for worlds, so i prob could save up enough money to go see the movie…….. actually, i think the hardest part will be getting the tickets ahaha :’D but honestly, if the movie doesn’t get released outside japan within like….. weeks or month after the original premiere, there’s just now way i’m going to wait. so unless i manage to completely screw up my finances, i’m coming with you anon!

Okay but all the Batkids get kidnapped at least once as a civilian

The first time it happens was with Dick and Bruce was freaking the fuck out. He had the ransom money all ready to go and he was ready to bust in as Batman when Dick showed back up at the manor with a bloody nose from when he fell to the ground because he was tied up to a chair and Bruce just scoops him up in a hug and doesn’t let him go for approximately eight hours

Barbara was next. She was both the daughter of Jim Gordon and close to Bruce Wayne, so ofc she gets kidnapped for a stupidly high ransom from Bruce and stupid demands from the police department. Bruce and Jim weren’t even able to call them back after the demands were made before Barbara came waltzing into the station with exactly one scrape on her knee

Bruce is panicky with Jason, but they don’t even get him to the hideout. He gets dragged into the truck while he was out with Bruce, and the five minutes it takes for Bruce to call the police and for them to get there Jason has beat up his kidnappers and is driving the truck back. He asks Bruce if he can keep it and Bruce is too surprised to say no and he just sorta nods while hugging him

Tim actually waits for the police to show up, and when they get there he’s sitting on a ridiculously plush couch with a glass of chocolate milk and a laptop and playing minesweeper while his kidnappers cower in the corner, and Jim just sighs before calling Bruce

Steph thinks the entire thing is hilarious and she just goes along with everything they say for shits and giggles. When they call Bruce (whose gotta do that concerned parent thing “is my baby okay?”) and they give her the phone she just “Bruce they took me to a warehouse . A fucking warehouse how cliche can you get–” and at this point she’s fighting them off while talking to Bruce “I’ll be home in 20. Love you”

They drop Cass off. The literary bring her back as Bruce is calling Jim and when she walks through the door she just sits at the kitchen table, looks and Bruce and all she ever says about the kidnapping is “they were a bunch of cowards”

Bruce is super panicky with Damian and when he finally gets the ransom call he demands to speak to Damian and “don’t you dare kill them” “but father” “Damian, no” “can I at least beat them up” “nO” “BUT FATHER” “YOU WILL WAIT UNTIL JIM AND I GET THERE” and when they show up Damian is pouting in the chair that he’s tied to

Batman came to get Duke because it happened while Batman was on patrol, and when he gets there Duke is already halfway out of the complex and “I didn’t think you would come” “what” “you were patrolling and–” and then Bruce hugs him and they have a very serious conversation that Bruce will always come for Duke and it may end in them crying it may not

BONUS

Carrie got like, halfway kidnapped. They were dragging her to the white get away van™ when she kicked all there asses and walked back over to Bruce “what” “are you–” “I’m fine” “are you sure–” “yes oh my god let’s just go get coffee”

BONUS BONUS

Bruce is actually pretty worried and panicked when Terry gets kidnapped. Like, this kid is a pice of shit and he says all the wrong things at the wrong times and that’s exactly what he’s doing now and he just doesn’t seem to notice until he’s like, in serious shit? But he gets out of it anyway because he’s the goddamn Batman and when Terry shows up all banged up and dragging his kidnapper behind him Bruce just sighs and “I’m too old for this shit”

this is what happens when you stay up too late reading atlantis fics and spotify playlist memes at the same time.

  • What Kanye told Taylor: I'm putting you in my new song, I'm going to say that I might get to sleep with you, and I'll play it for you before it comes out
  • What Kanye didn't tell Taylor: I'm going to call you a bitch and take credit for your fame in my new song, I'm not going to play it for you, and I'm going to record this conversation without your consent and try to turn the world against you when you get upset about all of this.
  • Taylor: asks to not be a part of their games
  • Kanye: Gets a Taylor lookalike for his video and has her laying next time him naked in the bed. Encourages crowds to chant "fuck Taylor swift" at his shows.
  • How in the actual fuck do people expect Taylor to not be mad?!

Day 2 of Undyne Appreciation Week @undyne-appreciation

Running a day behind because I ended up falling asleep after my July 4th party and couldn’t do this yesterday. I’m gonna try to get Day 3 done before day 4, but no promises!

My favorite thing about Undyne is really tricky to pin down exactly, but I like how even though she’s a tough warrior heroine who will punch her problems in the face, suplex a boulder, and burn down her own house to make some INTENSE spaghetti, she’s also got this quiet, thoughtful side to her. She meditates, she’s clearly given a lot of careful thought to whether she should accept Papyrus into the Guard, she spends hours practicing speeches, she values a quiet cup of tea and conversation, and she writes a letter over and over again, because she can never find the right words.

She’s got this super caring, thoughtful, contemplative and romantic side to her that you might not expect, even though she seems afraid to completely show it. It’s a great juxtaposition with her toughness and more aggressive nature and high energy.

I love her.

thank you so much for explaining wolf dominance behavior! I'm so sick people like "dominance means they beat each other up all the time" and then someone going "no that's not right wolves don't have dominance at all!" and I can never articulate why both those ideas are wrong but you did it so well! Do you know more good resources about how wolf dominance actually works?

You’re welcome, I’m glad it helps! Yeah I think the debate has gone to 2 extremes now and neither extreme is helpful when looking at actual dominance based interactions.

Here’s some of the models of pack structure that have been theorised:

Some of these are more updated than others and there’s still a lot of variation within these structures. The model that’s pretty much debunked is A. No one uses terms like Beta, Gamma, Omega anymore  (and our guests sometimes do and it drives us nuts). The most basic and updated wolf pack model is that of a family group: a breeding female and male and their offspring.

But not every pack is like this. Kanti, Bicho and Fiona are siblings, but Bicho usually will defer to Kanti and Fiona and get in trouble for doing things Kanti doesn’t want him doing (howling, ambushing Fiona, being a pest ect.). Kanti and Bicho both defer to Fiona but I have seen Fiona defer to Kanti or Bicho. And Kanti gets in trouble from Fiona from time to time as well. So they’re really all over the place.

Bicho deferring by pawing at Kanti, who is posturing over him. Bicho often uses very exaggerated submissive gestures to annoy Kanti enough to move him away from whatever resource there is. He is the master of Obnoxious Submission.

Also it’s important to remember that, in play, dominance structures are usually completely thrown out. So sometimes you’ll see a dominant wolf self-handicap and flop on the ground and throw out submissive gestures at a submissive wolf who will “dominate” that wolf. It’s hilarious. Good wolf jokes!

Despite Kanti and Bicho often deferring to her, Fiona is IT in this game of Wolf and Hounds where one wolf will be chased and harassed by the other wolves and then the game will switch with another wolf being “it”.

In order to simplify things as much as possible (even though it’s a lot more complex): When looking at wolf pack structure the dominant wolf or the “alpha” wolf - which generally will be a male and a female - is the animal with the most social freedom. These wolves do not defer to anyone and they do not need to “enforce” their position. It’s continually reinforced through body posturing, which is then responded to with reciprocal submission from other wolves.

Also these dominant wolves are not necessarily going to eat first, howl first or get any other privileges other than being allowed to breed. Their offspring will naturally defer to them and then disperse once they grow up so as not to cause conflict.

@koryos wrote up a great run-down of different canid pack models which can be found here: http://www.koryoswrites.com/nonfiction/dominance-behavior-in-canids/

I also recommend reading the papers linked to the article.

Hope that helps!

so I accidentally adopted a bat I guess?

This tiny little bat army crawled under my door and into my room. After researching for hours, i came to the conclusion that no bat sanctuaries, or any animal rescue places that will handle bats, are anywhere close enough to where I live. And since he’s not orphaned, and his mom [and siblings] are still very much in my attic, i decided to just deliver him back to his mom for the time being.

That was last night, and he has made his way back to my room two more times since then.

So I laid out a towel with a damp patch of honey and water, so he doesn’t dehydrate while he’s here, and I’m honestly just letting him chill in my room.

He crawled up to my bed to hang off the ledge of it earlier, and now he’s back on the towel drinking some honey-water.

he’s very smol

how he managed to crawl from the attic to my room three times is beyond me.

There is so much to unpack here, you guys. I know I’m supposed to sleep since it’s now been more than 48 hours and also my fever has spiked, but listen, there is SO MUCH TO UNPACK. I live for this stuff. I can’t just NOT.

I at least need to present a version of this idea while I’m still half-lucid. I had a few bullet points on the list that I was working on last night, and this one was my favorite by far:

The concept is that Mark has been killed numerous times over the course of the years, but somehow manages to come back, despite the fact that we witness his death. That’s because he’s being brought back to life when his death doesn’t achieve what it was designed to.

How can we prove this? Well, we witness it clearly in A Date With Markiplier. Mark dies multiple times, but we are able to “save” him by stopping his death from occurring, in a sense– that is, we can “go back in time” to prevent it. At the end of each route, we’re presented with the option to “try again”.

That’s not just a storytelling tool for the sake of having a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-style narrative. We are put in a time loop.

This isn’t a strange concept, especially for this particular series of videos. Why? Because we actually see it happen.

At the end of the Exit video, when we try to escape, Dark physically pushes us back in time to a previous decision. (Maybe that’s why he’s so “tired of giving people a choice”– we always choose so very poorly in his eyes.) It’s not just Dark that has these abilities, either. After you decide to stay together instead of splitting up while searching for an escape, you are presented with two options: the aforementioned “Exit”, which traps you in Dark’s time loop, or a cryptic option simply labeled, “More?”

If you choose “more”, Wilford appears to you in a literal vortex of clocks and warps your reality. No matter which option you choose, you come face to face with the fact that both of these men can manipulate time.

Now, this doesn’t necessarily prove that Mark is actively dying and being saved on numerous occasions, but a piece of information revealed today leads me to believe that this is indeed the case.

In Who Killed Markiplier?- Chapter 2, the Colonel mentions Mark dying “again”. When questioned by the detective, he states that he has “plenty of experience on the matter”.

The chef then adds, “So do I.”

For the chef to have experience with killing Mark, or even watching Mark dying, we would have to be living in this reality:

But if that was the case, then this murder mystery never would have happened in the first place, because Mark would have already been dead. In order for both of these things to be true, both time and reality would have to be warped. He died, and he didn’t.

So, if Mark has been dying on the regular, the question of who the murderer is isn’t actually all that important. For all we know, all of them have murdered Mark at some point. Here’s what we should actually be worried about:

As far as we know, Mark has never been dead this long before. What makes this time different from all the others? And what do we have to do to get him back?

Thank you for all the input!! :D This poll and these asks really helped me decide on what I want to do with Rocco and Emilio.

The poll isn’t over yet, but squids is winning by a HUGE majority. I’m more than sure it’ll win the poll lolol. So, the comic will keep going as it is!

As for the human versions and their original story line, chapter one is in progress!! I’ll definitely put up a link when the chapter is up on Taptastic! I’m just elated that there are so many people interested in their original story and them as characters .w.  Thank you guys so much for the support!
