i'm a little behind on the challenge so i'm playing catch up

Pinky Promise (pt. 1 of my Le Duo verse)

Pairing(s): Luke Evans/Josh Gad

Summary: Luke isn’t intimidated by a simple babysitting gig, okay? He really isn’t. He’s performed live in front of massive audiences on West End and seen his face on the big screen all around the world. Needless to say, he’s definitely not scared of some little girls. Especially not Josh Gad’s adorable little girls. Nope, not scared at all.

The front door is pretty average; tall and sturdy and probably a little expensive, but plain. Certainly nothing to be intimidated by. Except that Luke knows the man of his dreams is just behind that door. And with him, his beautiful wife and two daughters. God, he really should just turn around and feign some deadly illness because the whole situation is too absurd.

When Josh had asked him for a favor, Luke had foolishly agreed without knowing anything, jumping at any opportunity to please like an overeager puppy. He hadn’t realized that the favor would involve going just long enough without seeing Josh to make Luke really miss him and then sleeping over at Josh’s house with the two most important little people in his friend’s life. It was all a giant domestic tease that Luke wasn’t sure he could handle.

Luke never thought that he would be trying to get into Gaston’s headspace outside of shooting Beauty and the Beast (because really, who would willingly put themselves in that guy’s headspace for any other reason?), but he found himself taking out his phone and pulling up the camera app, trying to let courage show through his eyes on the screen as he channeled his character’s outrageous self-confidence.

“You are Luke Evans, and you are clever, kind, and incredibly fun to be around. You are the perfect babysitter, and you have noth
ing to worry about.”

He cocked an eyebrow for effect, starting to feel even less self-assured at how silly he looked, when he heard the door unlatch. He immediately shoved his phone in his pocket and felt heat rising to his cheeks as the door swung open and he looked up into Josh’s amused eyes.

Hi~ I have to say that I just discovered this gem of a blog a few days ago and I already love it and I'm checking it everyday *u* I was wondering if I can request a scenario (I just want to be sure) unless the ask box is closed for scenarios as well. If it's okay with you, I would like to ask for the Dry Series, but with RapMon (just as fluffy as the one with V and same stuff with his gf not being ready yet) Ok, I'm rambling too much :)) Good luck with the other requests and in real life too :D

this is something I wrote for my dA, BUT, because I like how it turned out, I want to share it also with you guys ;D cute, Superfamily fic ahead! the bonus scene idea comes from berry–gum after she read the fic!

Peter, age 5

“This is Agent Romanoff. The target is getting closer.”

Natasha was in a middle of the mission. A dangerous one. The kind of mission that required stealth from her, and her all focus and strength in order to succeed. She was hiding behind the corner, patiently waiting for a good opportunity. When the time finally came, she launched herself from behind the corner, tackling the person to the ground and rolling.

Peter squeaked happily, wrapped in his aunt and laughing when she started to roll. During the whole process, Natasha held him close, making sure that there would be no harm done to the little boy.

Can you do an aokaga one shot fanfic with alpha!aomine reject his mate aka omega!kagami that wearing glasses? I mean, aomine think he is ugly and then he reject him. But, in the end, aomine realized that he makes a big mistake, and they could be together in the end? A happy ending in the end? ._. Pleaseeee. I'm sorry if it's to hard for you to make this, and i'm sorry again for my bad english language

Sorry for the wait (again)! This was similarly requested by @nsapphirer; thanks for the prompts! I changed this a little because I couldn’t write Aomine thinking of Kagami as ugly. I’m sorry. FORGIVE ME. ヽ(´□`。)ノ Like, it’s physically impossible for me to write anyone thinking of Kagami as ugly because IMO even if he’s covered in horse shit Kagami is a beautiful angel. BUT I did write Aomine rejecting Kagami in some part due to appearance and hormones, so I hope you guys like it!!

(And honestly don’t worry about your English. It’s a terribly difficult language but you did well! :D )

Light blue eyes watched silently as the redhead unscrewed the bottle, popping in at least three pills before swallowing them down with a glass of water.

Kagami looked over and shook his head, removing his glasses to massage his forehead. “It’s not that bad, Kuroko.” It was a lie, of course. It was bad, and he was sure his friend-come-roommate could smell it.

Kuroko was a Beta, so he didn’t have as big a problem as Kagami. Betas still went through their own heats, but since Omegas were by genetics the most likely to be child-bearers, or if not, required more…attention, they went through more frequent and violent ones.

Which was why Kagami had his suppressants. But for some reason, they were working less efficiently than before.

Kagami knew the reason. His body was developing an immunity to them because he used them so often. Omegas his age had normally found their mates by now, but Kagami was focused on his own life. He didn’t have time for a mate. He could take care of himself.

Unfortunately, his body disagreed.

“You need to mate,” Kuroko said firmly.

“You haven’t mated yet! Why do I have to?” Kagami snapped, regretting it when Kuroko flinched.

Kuroko waved his apology away. “I can imagine it’s hard for you, but it’s worse if you don’t meet someone.”

“That’s the point, isn’t it?” Kagami sighed. “I haven’t met that someone. And I’m not going to use those cheesy dating sites,” he added with a huff.

Kuroko smiled. “Well, that’s because you haven’t been actively looking. Why don’t we go out to the courts tomorrow? Walk around the mall? Or the park? Maybe your senses will tingle.”

“My senses. You talk like I’ve got some kind of superpower,” Kagami snorted, but he was grinning. “I still don’t think anything is going to happen.”

“We’ll see,” Kuroko smiled back. He flipped open his phone discreetly and texted an old friend. There’s someone I want you to meet. Meet at the usual court tomorrow at four.

Kagami was pissed.

They’d been out all day, and even though he had left his apartment somewhat optimistic, he should’ve known he wouldn’t feel attracted to anybody. There were some slightly appealing people here and there that had the somewhat sweet whiff of being unmated, but Kagami really didn’t feel anything when he looked at them.

Of course, he didn’t know how it was supposed to feel, but he was sure that it wasn’t disinterest.

“Relax, Kagami-kun, I’m sure there’s someone,” Kuroko soothed. “Let’s head to the courts next.”

“Whatever,” Kagami muttered, and walked slowly behind Kuroko.

The courts were empty, save for one man lazily dribbling a ball in the middle. He turned around at the sound of Kuroko opening the gate, and Kagami felt his throat dry when their eyes met. The scent seeped into Kagami’s skin.

Alpha. Alpha Alpha Alpha.

Kagami had taken about five suppressants before leaving and even carried the bottle with him, in case he met ‘the one’ and randomly went to heat in public, because that wouldn’t have been good.

But the second his eyes met the other man’s, he felt it. Like an electric current that shot from his head and straight into his lower regions. He groaned, clutching his head as the wave passed. He felt Kuroko grabbing his shoulder, but his vision was spinning and his breathing was harsh. Thankfully the feeling passed after a few seconds and he looked back up, blinking blearily.

The man in front of his stared at him with a pinched look on his face, as though he couldn’t decide what expression to show. He was quite handsome – tall, all dark skin and long limbs. The man looked over to Kuroko.

“Is this who you wanted me to meet, Tetsu?” his voice was a low drawl, and Kagami dug his fingernails into his palms so that he had something besides his arousal to focus on.

“Kagami Taiga-kun is my roommate. This is Aomine Daiki,” Kuroko introduced the two. “Aomine-kun is very good at basketball. I thought since Kagami-kun is in a bad mood, it might be good for you to play each other. I’d say your skill levels are on par.”

Is it really him? Kagami thought as he walked up to Aomine.

“So can four-eyes play?” Aomine snorted, and Kagami felt a tick of annoyance. “And what’s with those weird eyebrows? Were you born that way?”

That annoyance was definitely getting worse, and Kagami had started seeing red. “I’ll wipe the ground with your ass.”

“Oh? An Omega challenging an Alpha?” Aomine sneered. “You’re gonna be just like the rest of them. By the end of the match, you’ll be crying and calling it all unfair.”

“Unfair? You think I’m weaker than you?” Kagami retorted. He wasn’t showing it, but he could feel it. Something was off. Like there was static in the air between them. The guy is an asshole. There’s no way he’s my Alpha. No way!

Aomine narrowed his eyes. “Fine then. Let’s see who’s stronger on the court.”

“Be my Alpha.”

Aomine blinked. He’d beaten Kagami, but it had been surprisingly close. 5-3. People normally didn’t even get one shot past him.

And now the bespectacled redhead was sitting on the ground, catching his breath, when he spoke up.

Aomine…he was an Alpha. An Alpha that had given up. He had good looks, skill…but somewhere along the way, it was as though the world had lost colour. Maybe it was because nobody ever challenged him, in status or in basketball. Or challenged him and won, anyway. And so he’d dealt with it. Dealt with the ideal that nobody was good enough. He might have a fling here and there, but he would never mate.

Why? Because either Aomine would get bored and leave them, or they would leave him. After all, he was the best. Everyone else probably felt worthless around him.

So what was this strange redhead doing, losing to him and then basically proposing to him? He wasn’t worth it. He didn’t deserve Aomine. He had lost.

And yes, Aomine had felt it in the air. He’d felt that strange sense of dizziness when he first laid eyes on the redhead, and every time their skin brushed during the match, he felt breathless.

But he wouldn’t fall for any biological tricks. If he agreed, it would end badly for both of them.

“No,” he said, grabbing the basketball and walking lazily away.

Kagami slammed the fridge closed.

“Kagami-kun, I’ll definitely talk to him about his behaviour-”

“You don’t need to do jack shit. He can go fuck himself!” Kagami spat, drinking orange juice straight out of the carton.

“Aomine-kun is…a little difficult-”

Difficult?!” Kagami hissed. “I know he felt it too! Even if Alphas don’t need any fucking suppressants, I know he felt it! But what? Just because I lost? Fine then, I’ll fucking show him what loss is!” It had been about two days since their meeting, but Kagami still hadn’t – couldn’t – forget what had happened. His body couldn’t forget, and would kindly remind him along with full colour vivid dreams every night that he really needed to see that bastard again and jump him.

“Where are you going?” Kuroko asked cautiously as Kagami pulled on his sneakers.

“The courts. I’m gonna practice, and then I’m gonna confront that dickwad and beat his ass.”

Kuroko frowned. “It’s midnight. It’s not safe to be out so late-”

“I’m not a kid. I can take care of myself,” Kagami snorted. “Plus I’ve taken the pills. Unmated Alphas won’t smell me.”

Kuroko didn’t say anything, knowing his warnings would fall on deaf ears as Kagami closed the door behind him.

Aomine scowled. He hadn’t been able to forget that damn redhead for the past two days. Every time he closed his eyes, he would see those flashing red eyes behind shining specs, forked eyebrows furrowed in concentration and tongue peeking out of pink lips.

God dammit, Aomine looked at his phone. Kuroko’s cryptic message of “Courts right now. Worried” wasn’t providing much information, and when he had called, Kuroko had explained that Kagami had gone to the courts himself to practice so he could beat Aomine. To practice, in the dead of night, when he was dangerously close to entering random heats.

Aomine, for some reason, had decided to go. Maybe he just wasn’t feeling sleepy.

Maybe he wanted to see the redhead.

As he was trying to refuse that thought, he felt drops of rain on his head. He looked up just as the downpour was unleashed, and he was about to run for cover when the wind carried a scent to him. An unmistakably sweet scent.

It sent Aomine running, just not for cover.

Kagami felt the first drops after he made the first shot, and just as he was about to begrudgingly walk home, the heavens opened up and drenched him.

Fuck, Kagami groaned. Guess I should get back-

A piercing pain in his lower abdomen had him doubled over. He gasped, the water running into his eyes and mouth as waves of heat pulsated through his body.

What? My heat?! But I took my pills! He scrunched his eyes closed. Fuck, I overestimated the timespan of the effects…

This was bad. Really bad. There were far too many cases of Omegas going in heat out on deserted streets at night and getting forcefully mated by unmated Alphas. Kagami was strong and built, but in his current state, he wasn’t sure how effective he would be in a fight or anything worse.

He heard the gate creak, then hurried footsteps. He was about to brace himself to fight when he looked up.

The street lamp had weak lighting, but it was enough to see a familiar blue haired man kneel next to him and grab his shoulders.

“Kagami, shit, fuck, you’re in heat, fuck,” Aomine’s face was worried, but he was clenching his jaw tight and trying to pull Kagami up.

Kagami had other ideas.

He grabbed Aomine’s hair, pulled him down, and started licking his way into the other’s mouth.

Aomine started pushing him away, but that soon turned to pulling, his hands cupping Kagami’s ass and lifting him up so Kagami could crawl into Aomine’s lap and wrap his legs tightly around Aomine’s waist.

Aomine was blinded by the rain, but he didn’t need to see. He could feel Kagami, his thin clothes soaked through to let Aomine feel his skin even through the cloth. He could taste Kagami, and Kagami tasted amazing. The kiss was sloppier than the rain, their teeth clacking, but they couldn’t care less. Kagami’s glasses came in the way, so Aomine took them off and stuffed them in his jacket, unbuttoning the redhead’s shirt. They just needed each other, and Kagami moaned as Aomine bit his wet collarbone, rutting against his waist.

Wait. Stop. Hold on.

It took all of Aomine’s will to pull away, and he almost fell back into the craze when Kagami peered up at him disappointedly through his long damp lashes.

“We need to go back to your place. Or my place. Not out here,” he breathed.

“What we need to do is have sex. At least once,” Kagami leaned in to kiss him again. The pain lessened when he kissed Aomine. It felt good. When their skin was touching, Kagami’s brain became jumbled, but in a good way, not the agonising confusion he felt when he went through heat alone.

Aomine stared at him, taking in the glistening droplets of water on the tanned skin, the large eyes darkened with lust, the wet lips as a tongue swiped across them seductively.

It wasn’t that Kagami didn’t deserve Aomine, Aomine realised. Aomine didn’t deserve Kagami. This man hadn’t been discouraged after losing to Aomine. He was still a ball of energy and passion, willing to go to any lengths to get what he wanted.

“Fine. But if we get caught, you’re paying the fine for public indecency.”

Kagami grinned slowly, wrapping his arms around Aomine’s neck. “Then I guess we better be quick and quiet.”

Aomine smirked slyly back, his fingers fiddling with Kagami’s drenched pants. “I’m not the one who’s going to be screaming.”

Here, Kitty, Kitty

Hey, guess who got only 3 hours of sleep last night but decided it would be a good idea to do some writing anyways? Spoiler alert: it’s me.

Ectober Day 1- Black Cat

Characters: Danny Fenton

Note: Danny’s in college, if that’s not clear.

Warning: Some swearing.

No one knew where the cat had come from. She had showed up on campus a few years ago and had stayed around, lurking in the shadows and always disappearing when animal control came to get her. Of course, being a black cat, the students started a rumor that whoever saw the cat would have misfortune fall upon them for an entire semester. With the rumor going around, it was no wonder the cat gained a bad reputation.

Danny had first heard about the cat near Thanksgiving during his freshman year at the college. He had made a mental note to learn more about it back then but between school and ghost duties, it slowly faded from his mind.

[AO3] | [FF.net]

Emma doesn’t know Killian Jones very well. At all, really, he’s just sort of a name she hears on occasion with a vague image of a man to go along with it. A friend of a friend of a friend and all that. She’s probably spent time in the same room as him all of three times. Definitely not enough time for him to be hiding love letters inside of her European Lit textbook.

So, what she knows about Killian Jones now boils down to this; He’s kind of a creep. A sappy creep.

but wait! before you read the one-shot, let me first answer the question: if I had to pick a magic to have in FT, what would I choose?

  • waterbending by far. so like juvia’s ability, I guess? i really identify with the element of water (lol swimmer’s unite!) and if bloodbending comes in the same package, holy hell of course i’m going to take it.

He raises both hands to his mouth to breathe hot air onto his winter-frigid fingers, and when he pulls his hands apart to tuck them back into his pockets, he’s surprised to find a very familiar shade of red before him.

“E-Erza,” he stutters.

Suddenly he doesn’t feel so cold anymore.

He almost loses his balance on his skates.

“Hey,” she replies. She looks off to the left briefly before meeting his eyes again. “Do you mind if we share the ice?”

He glances down at her skates—these are new.

Of course, they’re new. How could they have been the same ones she wore back when she was in high school? Now that she’s a few years older, she’s definitely inched out of the white sequin-covered skates she used to don so proudly.

He realizes that she’s still waiting for his answer when the silence between them stretches long.

“Yeah, of course,” he finally replies.

She gives him a brilliant smile. “Great!” she thanks him, and turns on her heel to glide away.

Is that it? Is he just going to let her—

But she’s already gone, her scarlet hair rippling behind her, the tatters of her old faded light blue scarf desperately hanging onto her neck in the headwind.

i'm having a hard time (i'm making you do the hard time too)

A Lieutenant Duckling fic based on this beautiful graphic by the lovely captainswans (with permission).

This never would have been written or seen the light of day without the help of both Erin and Kay, and Steph was the perfect cheerleader.

I… don’t know what happened here. I have no explanations, only 12k words that I hope you’ll enjoy reading.

Also on AO3

She is playing with her fork idly while her mother and father stand, giving one of their speeches that everyone is always so wrapped up in (because the two of them really do have a way with words). Emma is not in the mood to listen to inspiring monologues tonight however, not when it means she has to waste an entire evening at a ceremonial welcome feast.
