i would not recommend this movie

I was thinking about Doukyuusei recently, and I realized one thing - if the second season of Yuri on Ice will feature a more explicit kiss then I’d want it to look something like this:

It’s explicit without being lewd, it’s intimate without being sexual, it’s soft and gentle without being overdone.

It’s actually all I’d possibly want from a kiss in an anime (and a kiss between Yuuri and Victor especially).

Personally, I don’t think we need a more explicit kiss, but if we would get one then I’d like it to either be a casual kiss on the cheek/forehead (the way most couples share them) or something like the one you see above. I think that would be a good way of keeping it clear and romantic without making it self-indulgent.

And if Yuuri would be the one to initiate the kiss, that would make it absolutely perfect.

horror films for people who don’t like horror films

i’ve been asked this a lot: what horror movies would you recommend to people who try to stay away from the genre in general, for whatever reason? some people don’t enjoy being scared, some people find horror too unrealistic and outlandish, and some people don’t enjoy the repetitive tropes that are admittedly often present in horror films.

that being said, when i do give people recommendations for horror movies to dip their toe into, they’re often the same ones, or very similar ones. so i’ve gathered them here today, in case my horror loving followers have any friends who ask them the same questions, but aren’t sure of how to answer.

I loved this movie so much. I already had high expectations for it before entering the theater and it was far better than I thought it would. I highly recommend seeing it if you’re able to.

What gundam series would you recommend watching

For Starting

In my opinion the best way would be to watch the Original. if you don’t want to watch the whole series I’d recommend that Movie Trilogy on it.

But I know that some people can’t deal with “old animation” which I can sort of understand. So some other good starters would be-

Gundam Iron Blood Orphans

Gundam 00

Gundam Thunderbolt

Now the first 2 are in their own timeline so you don’t need to see anything prior. Thunderbolt is part of Universal Century but you don’t really need to know the background before watching it (btw it also captures the best things about the Gundam series)

If you’re just looking for some Gundam to watch however some of my favorites are-

Gundam Build Fighters

My 2016 Horror Movies List

Not a great year for horror movies. A lot of decent stuff, but just a few flicks I would really recommend. So this year list may includes all I saw from last time I did one, even if released in late 2015, plus something I wouldn’t exactly describe as an horror movie, but was too good to be left out. Enjoy:

  • The Witch - One of the best movies I’ve seen lately. Plus, goats are soo cool. Go see it.
  • Under The Shadow - Have you ever seen an Iranian horror movies set in the 80s?
  • I Am Not A Serial Killer -  Low budget “monster” movie!
  • 10 Cloverfield Lane -  I’d love this to have a sequel…
  • Don’t Breathe - Not perfect, still absolutely enjoyable.
  • Green Room - Nazi punks fuck off!
  • The Conjouring 2 -  Have you seen the tv show about the Enfield case? This one is way better.

If you looked at the posters on the top of the post, you probably noticed there is one more film I still have to talk about. “Lo chiamavano Jeeg Robot” is not an horror. It’s the first Italian super heroes movie (well, the first good one for sure), and it’s better you can imagine. It’s emotional, it’s violent, and funny. It’s so rare as an Italian citizen I have something to be proud about that is not food related, that I can’t miss the chance to mention it here. Let me know if you like it.

And if you need more, some other 2016 (more or less) horror movies still worth to watch:

  • Southbound
  • Holidays
  • Trash Fire
  • The Neighbor
  • Ouija 2
  • 31
  • Pet
  • The Monster
  • The Wailing
  • Train To Busan
  • Siren
  • Anguish
  • Baskin
  • Emelie
  • Shelley
  • Viral
  • Lights Out
  • Phobia
  • The Good Neighbor
  • The Autopsy Of Jane Doe
  • Blair Witch

Let me know what you think!

I don't have a resolution for this year but last year I decided to start going out by myself and honestly it was the best decision EVER. I started going to the movies alone, having nice lunches and dinners alone. It was so wonderful and relaxing (after fighting some nerves in the beginning) and it really taught me to love who I am. Self care is so vital. And if someone wants to do this and gets nervous just get your phone out and scroll through your fav sites before your meal comes, it helps! <3

oh man, listen, i love this a lot

Welcome to New York City

Character: Newt Scamander

A/n: The movie was wonderful, I almost cried. If you have time to see it in theaters I definitely would recommend it.

Also this imagine might seem a little short and sparse. So I apologize, but I will get better as I familiarize myself with this world and it’s characters I promise~

You huffed in exasperation as you attempted to push yourself through the horrendous crowds of people on the streets of New York City, the traffic only adding to the horrible situation.

Work hours had just ended, so trying to walk back to your apartment was less than ideal, swarms of people crowding the roads to get home.

Not to mention you were currently trying to shove a pile of papers from today’s work into your bag while simultaneously making sure you weren’t going to bump into anyone.

A goal short lived since the moment you looked up you came face to face with a blob of blue fabric.

You and the stranger went tumbling to the ground, your work papers flying out of your hands and you could distinctly hear the sound of something harshly hit against the pavement.

“I’m so sorry.” Came an accent voice somewhere in front of you. “I didn’t see you coming.”

You opened your eyes and gave them some time to adjust before the man infront of you came into focus.

Your eyebrows shot upward and you immediately scrambled to get all of your papers. “No no! That was all my fault. I wasn’t looking where I was going.”

“H-Here let me help.” He stuttered, picking up the rest of the papers before they flew off into the road.

Once you managed to get majority of them, the young man handed you the small pile he had acquired.

You smiled looking up to meet his gaze, you could now properly see his face. He had curly brown hair, his face was covered in freckles, and a curious green plant was sticking from his breast pocket.

“Thank you, I really am sorry about running into you.” You said with a slight laugh, securely placing your work into your back and closing it with a small sigh.

“I don’t mind, honestly.” He said standing up and holding his hand out for you. “You’re not hurt are you?”

You thanked him again and took his hand, brushing off your coat before taking his suitcase and handing it to him. “Oh no, you wouldn’t be the first person I’ve crashed into.” You said a laugh.

You almost had to take a step back once you saw just how tall he was, practically towering over you. “You’re not hurt either?”

He shook his head and smiled assuringly. “No injuries.”

“Are you new to the city?” You asked suddenly.

He smiled, taking his case out of your hand. “What gave it away?” He asked sheepishly, his eyes casting downward and closing one of the claps on his suitcase.

“Well apart from the obvious signs, you look far too skittish to be a local.” You deducted, folding your arms. “Where are you from?”

“England. My name’s Newt Scamander.” He introduced with a nod of his head.

“Nice to meet you Mr. Scamander-”

“You can just call me Newt.” He corrected, smiling whenever your gazes met again.

You smiled, taking a second to admire the bizarre name. “Newt. I’m (Y/n) (L/n).” You said, holding out your hand for him.

“It’s very nice to meet you.” Newt said, shaking your hand.

The two of you stood there for a moment, looking at each other before your eyes caught glance of the time.

“I’m terribly sorry Mr. Scamander, but I’m afraid I’ve got somewhere to be.” You said, walking past him but you stopped yourself to turn around to face him again.

“Are you planning on staying in New York for long?”

“Tricky question, I can’t really say for sure.” Newt replied, but he caught on to the minor look of disappointment on your face. “But it shouldn’t be anytime soon.” He added quickly.

“Do you like animals?”

A small smile played at the corners of Newt’s mouth. “I do rather like them.”

You grinned, slightly nodding your head. “Well if you happen to have the time, come by the central park zoo and look for me.”

Newt’s smile grew and he nodded. “I’ll make sure to do so.” He said, slightly raising his voice as a car passed.

“Welcome to New York City, Mr. Scamander!” You said, waving at him and running off into the sea of people to get home, catching glimpse of Neet waving back before you looked foward.

I have a lot of feels about Hidden Figures. Go watch it for the following reasons.

  • A movie about women of color as mathematicians, and an engineer.
  • All three women are mothers. With multiple children.
  • One of them is a single mom.
  • All three are successful women of color in a time where systemic oppression was the norm.
  • Supportive husbands.
  • Sick burns against systemic racism and sexism.
  • Their names are Katherine Goble Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn, Mary Jackson.

If you can remember a name like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart then you can remember them.

10/10 would recommend.

i just saw the edge of seventeen and it was actually fucking amazing??? like, every decade has its quintessential high school movie. i’m convicted edge of seventeen is going to be that film for the 2010s. it’s funny and witty and original and hailee steinfeld is incredible in it i would highly recommend checking it out

ViVi Magazine January issue - Kyungsoo cuts, part two

I always carry around a backpack. I never leave behind my glasses, charger, or throat spray. I keep foam cleanser and lotion in the black pouch, which I actually bought at Muji (laughs).

KS: I want to think about health. Nothing big; I wish constantly for all the members to be healthy as we go about our daily lives.

▪ The world is ending tomorrow. What will you do?

KS: I’d want to eat sushi from the Michelin 3-star restaurant Sushi Saito.

▪ A spot you recommend in Seoul!

KS: A Korean cuisine restaurant called Duru that specializes in noodles, at Hakdong Intersection. Their stir-fried octopus and rice ball combo is the best!

CURRENT PERSONAL RANKINGS OF THE ICE AGE MOVIES:
  1. ICE AGE 1 the only good ice age movie and only one i recommend, best written blue sky movie, has nice music and surprisingly dry humour if you’re only familiar with the sequels. actually delivers emotion.
  2. ICE AGE 3 inherently superior to ice age 2 because the possums were given considerably less screentime and the weasel guy is actually entertaining. i just recently clued in that he was voiced by simon pegg which explains how that saved the movie.
  3. ICE AGE 2 THE GODDAMN POSSUMS. it would almost be passable without them, also the sea monsters were cute.
  4. ICE AGE 4 actually the worst. no redeeming qualities. literally does the rebellious teen daughter who learns to value family story. but with pirates. diego does not need a girlfriend.

ICE AGE 5: YET TO BE ANNOUNCED.

endless movies (1-?): Celeste and Jesse Forever

Beth and Tucker. You guys are lucky, so lucky to be best friends. Work hard at that and respect that. Be patient and you don’t always have to be right, even if you are. It doesn’t fucking matter anyway. Fight for it everyday. I wish I had.

Things we know about Captain Cassian Andor, and why we need a backstory movie

He has been fighting since he was six.

And “before the rise of the Empire, Cassian would have considered the Jedi his enemies. But he’d been so young, too young to understand who he’d been fighting or who he’d been fighting for.

He’s a master spy and a pretty good pilot (but overcorrects on the throttle control when he’s stressed).

He’s been a Fulcrum recruitment agent, finding more people for the Alliance.

The rebellion is everything to him, because he has also lost everything.

He is prepared to do anything for the cause, including killing people who are not necessarily on the enemy’s side and little by little cast aside his ideals.

He once found “nourishment in the stale, momentary thrills of danger and triumph” of the spy missions. This doesn’t change until after Eadu and the change he sees in both Jyn and himself.

He’s done some despicable things in the past, but in his mind it’s for the greater good.

On Jenoport he had to kill someone (possibly more than one) which was so hard for him that K-2 found him staring at his blaster with tears on his face. K-2 volunteered for a memory wipe in case Cassian’s “continued dignity and service demanded it.”

Some of these acts are so bad he’s even keeping them from General Draven, who is his immediate superior (head of Alliance Intelligence) and who is not above killing for the rebellion at all (but K-2 knows a lot more than the general).

He once got very seriously injured and K-2 had to carry him to safety.

He’s definitely impersonated an imperial officer before.

Chirrut senses that Cassian carries his prison with him wherever he goes. That sure hints at some serious emotional drama.
