↳ Day 3: Favorite Relationship(s) [Part 1 - Platonic] || Chloe Decker’s “Tribe” - Lucifer

“So, you’re saying, if I called you guys, you would drop everything and come and have a drink with me?”
“Mm-hmm. ‘Cause that is what girlfriends do for each other.”
“Yes, especially during tough times.”

Left arm hurts cuz of the doctor that didnt know what he was doing and the right arm is perfectly fine cuz a doctor that actually knew what he was doing.. Okay for those of you who may not know my instagram (this is all from yesterday) i got up around 6 this morning..i was gunna try and go into work since my temp was going down..yesterday it went from 104 down to 100.4 and i got up and went into moms room and 2 minutes later i had a really bad episode so i had mom call an ambulance..i couldnt see anything, i felt like i was spinning, my whole body was tingly, my face felt burning hot but i was cold, i felt like i was gunna pass out, and i felt like i was gunna throw up but i couldnt since i hadnt eaten anything at that time cuz i had just woken up..so went to the hospital and got a free ride from the amulance and first of all imma say is this one dude that stuck me in my left arm to take my blood didnt know what he was doing..it was the most painful needle put in me that i have ever experienced..so another guy came in and asked him “how long have you been doing this?” And he said “18 years” and i was like yesss someone that knows what they are doing but the doctor said that i have a virus and what made it worse is i was dehydrated a little bit..so they gave me some fluids through an IV and gave me some anti nausea medicine in it too..so i cant go into work the rest of this week amd if i get worse within 48 hours then i have to go back..so yes i am just fine

A/N: This… is disgusting, plotless, irredeemable fluff. I’m sorry.

“What’ll it be, hon?”

This waitress can’t be for real. She’s ambiguously middle-aged, with poorly-bleached, preposterously floofy hair piled on top of her head. Wide hips, blue eyeshadow, one bad tooth - the works. She’s like a caricature. Hell, she’s even chewing gum, smacking it cheerfully between her tongue and her teeth. She’s unbelievable, is what she is. This whole diner is unbelievable. And true to his penchant for unbelievable things, Mulder is absolutely delighted.

Well it almost got cold in Houston, so I decided to take advantage and wear some longer sleeves. I wish this weather would just make up it’s mind.

I love prints, so when I saw this vintage dress at the thrift store I just had to get it! I already owned this awesome fabric for the head scarf and together I thought it was a great look.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and my family had made plans for dinner at my Grandad’s, but yesterday he fell and broke his hip, so now our plans have all been postponed.

It was pretty scary to see him in so much pain. Thankfully I work as a caregiver to him, so I, as well as my mom and sister, were there only minutes after the fall.

This was the whole reason I moved back to Houston…to be with and help my Grandad. My Grandmother passed away this time last year, so it’s been a strange time being in this city without her and I can only imagine how that’s affected Granddaddy, after all they were married for over 60 years (unbelievable!).

In my family, on both my mom and dad’s sides, every event pretty much revolves around the Grands, so this season is already proving to be pretty tough for me. My Grandad is the last of my Grands and I’m really struggling with this. However, I am so so grateful to be able to be spending so much time with him now. There are so many distractions in life, the only thing that really matters are the relationships you have with people and the memories you make with them. Time is precious, don’t let it slip away from you.

Holster Has Made Out With Everyone 11) Senior Year: Nursey

Nursey has never looked less chill. He’s practically vibrating as he props up the wall in the attic. “Bro, I don’t think I can.”

“Nurse,” says Holster, wondering where he went wrong. “Bro. It’s dibs. Isn’t this literally what you’ve been working for all year? You cleaned my haunted jockstrap. Twice.”

“Yeah,” says Nursey, spacing out. “But Ransom asked Dex yesterday.”

Old guy came through my line with a beer yesterday. I keep trying to ring it and it won't ring. Finally I say, "Sir, did this come out of a 6-pack?" He says yes. "Sir you have to buy the whole pack." "But I only need the one!" Finally my manager comes over and tells him the exact same thing and he leaves. My guy. You can't just take an item from a set like that. That's like taking a single soda out of a box and trying to buy just the one. It just doesn't work like that.

Who the fuck even buys just the one can? If you’re buying beer I would assume you’d want to get at least a little buzzed, which with the low alcohol content in beer is going to take the whole damn 6 pack. -Abby

So last Friday I wrote down things that my friends said and well.

Thomas: I didn’t…

Washington: Yesterday I thought I was tired of everyone’s shit, then this morning happened…

Alexander: Everyone’s just doing something stupid, and you are stupid!! *points at Thomas*

*whole squad watching “Friday The 13th”*
Thomas: Wait which one was this again, a horror or a porn movie???

How does the whole residency thing work? Like how do you pick where you go?

Since Match day just happened yesterday, I think it’s a good time to talk about this again!

So here’s how residency spots work for the MD match.

All the med students in the country apply to MD residency programs through a program called “the match”. They go on and apply to programs they are interested in and then those programs review all the applications and decide who they want to interview.

Med students then go out to the programs they are interested in and complete an interview. After they’ve completed all their interviews, they “rank” the programs they are interested in in a computer system. At the same time, residency programs “rank” the students they want at their program.

A very high powered computer algorithm basically matches med students to their programs based on their ranking and a program’s ranking of them. It’s a very complex mathematical algorithm based on something called “The Stable Marriage Problem” that this video explains way better than I could since I am a medical doctor and not a doctor of mathematics.

Med students find out where they have matched all across the country on one day by opening an envelope.

yesterday at work my coworker was talking about how she only wore chokers to make her neck look skinnier, then stood over the vent so her shirt billowed up and said ‘this is what I feel like’ and proceeded to say she meant to go to the gym but she ate jimmy johns instead - all while I was literally eating jimmy johns. I didn’t say anything to any these comments and when she mentioned the last part I just walked away and a few moments later came back and said “so actually I am in recovery from an eating disorder and it’s really hard to me to hear this kind of stuff, could we maybe talk about something else?” and it was scary but I did it and I’m glad I did, or else she’d just keep saying things I really couldn’t hear.

First Year of University: Medicine and what I Learned

First year has come to an end. It seems like yesterday I was sitting at my first lecture and, at the same time, it feels like a life time has passed. It was intense, hard, interesting, great and a whole bunch of mixed emotions as everything good in life is, right? It was a lot different then what I had expected, and I do not mean that as a bad thing. So here are a few things I learned this year.

1-When people say med school is hard, IT IS HARD!! We come from a place where we studied and worked a lot to make this dream come true, but the truth is, once we get there, it will be expected even more of us. It will be scary at first, actually it will continue to be, but that’s what makes you great, it makes you go beyond yourself, you discover that you were stronger and capable of pulling of stuff you’d never imagine. But you can do it, people before you did it and will continue to do it. You just have to give it your best, it takes everything you got.

2-You will fail. For the most of us, we will fail a couple of exams and even some subjects. The material is difficult, there’s no time to study, you might not have paid attention in lectures or not studied enough or studied the wrong way. The bottom line is, failing is not the end of the world. It is hard to find a doctor who has never failed at something throughout its life. And it’s important even to fail at somethings. It makes you humbler, it makes you work harder, it shows you what works and what does not, it will make you see how bad you want to be a doctor. I speak from experience and from what many doctors told us, one of the best doctors I know included. What is important is that, when you fail, you don’t go down. YOU FIGHT HARDER.

3-WE NEED EACH OTHER! I know that in many universities and medical schools competition is a constant in each med student’s life. I am really blessed that that is not the spirit in my university. We are a small university, there are few of us, but we are a united family that helps each other in times of difficulty that celebrates like crazy when things go right and that picks you up when things go wrong. The older ones guide the new ones and everyone helps each other out. And I can assure you it makes all the difference. Medicine is known at our university as the pack, we don’t fight each other to go the distance, we go together and we go further. That is our motto. You’ll meet very few people outside the medical profession that understand what you do, how hard it is and why you do it. Your colleagues do understand that, and that understanding should make them your family, your friends, not your enemy.

4- Don’t let examinations ruin the beauty of what you are learning. You are learning about one of the most complex and interesting subjects there is. What you learn will make the difference in people’s lives. Please, do not make it about a grade, because it is not.

5- Don’t miss out on life. Medicine will be a great part of your life. It is not a career choice, its life choice. But don’t miss out on a coffee with a friend, or a party here and there, get to know the people you work with, go out for a walk, go on fun adventures, and get to know the place you are studying in or show it to the ones who don’t know it.

6-Don’t waste time. Procrastination does not go well with medicine. Time is something that we don’t have too much to spare. Make the best you can with the time you have. Procrastination does nothing for you and the sooner you realise this the better. Ask yourself, “Do I really want to be doing this?” Do I really want to be watching this video? It’s not even funny, do I really need to take an hour to shower, when on any other time it would only take 20 minutes? Do I really need to be staring at that wall? Get that out of your way, you’re smarter than that and it will make you feel much better. Because, most of the time, you don’t ever want to be doing whatever you are doing as procrastination.

7-”when you’re tired, learn to rest, not to give up”. You’ve read it, you’ve memorized this. It is important

8-Treasure every moment. It will go by pretty fast. Treasure the things you learn, the friendships you make, the family you create, the teachers that truly inspired you, the walks around the campus, the adventures, the late nights with friends, studying or going out for fun, the crazy examinations with scary professors, those moments when you finally understand a difficult subject…. It’s your life, don’t pretend it isn’t. Make it extraordinary.

And now, Vacations!!! This blog revealed to be so much more interesting than I thought it would be, I met people from so many different parts of the world and talked about the most Random things. Thanks you for that. I hope you have a university experience as great as I had and am having. Never give up on your dreams. Keep fighting until the last second. Make every second count. See you next semester ;)

Took a little time off of the big big project I’m working on yesterday evening to doodle a little picture of my favorite boy Taako from The Adventure Zone!

I have developed a huge penchant for podcasts this year, and my most recent flavor of listening has been the Brothers’ McElroy excellent D&D campaign. The show never fails to make me smile, even on my most stressful days, which has been a real blessing over the last few weeks.

You can listen to it for free on iTunes, and I would highly recommend it if you enjoy fantasy/comedy/really sweet, lovely people doing something they clearly love a whole lot

I try to be empathetic to my students and I don’t like to nag.  I really do.

But after telling Student to put his head up multiple times yesterday, after the second time today I stood over him with a Thunderbrow.

“I’m just so TIRED.”

And a little part of me snapped.

“You’re talking to a woman with a full-time job and a husband who works nights, leaving her alone in the evenings with a toddler who is teething his back molars.  You don’t get to tell me you’re tired.”

“Yes ma’am.”

Elektel update... ugh

Okay, since I need a break I thought I might as well make a post.

So… The translation is done. Woohoo!! My lovely little translator-chan worked sooo hard!! Thank you bitch, I love you!!!
Now I have to sell my body and soul to my proofreader so she will look at the script asap. Because yesterday she already proofread Konna Nichijou Ch 3 (I will work on that one when I’m done with Elektel) and I would love to give her a break, but… NO! :P

Okay and I’m still working on the uncensoring. But I need about an hour per penis, so it’s taking way longer than expected. Sigh. I have an appointment tomorrow so I can’t work on it the whole day. Damn real life, stop interferring with my Yaoi dammit!! grrrr

But… I’m getting there bit by bit, pixel by pixel ^^

Tying the Knot!

Marriage you have learned was hard.

Once you strip of that weeks of honeymoon and hopping from one country to another, scattered clothes around the hotel room, bedsheets always strewn apart once dawn came in and the outside light illuminating his face as your eyes slowly fluttered close a smile permanent on your lips until the next day. You have come to realise that sex, honeymoon and being in love was easy. The hard part came in when you have to start doing chores and you have to buy groceries and deciding who should do the dishes today because- I did it twice yesterday, oh but I did the whole of last week since you weren’t here, that doesn’t count!

It was much harder when your husband was Jay Park.

He always had excuses when it was his time to do the chores- oh but baby my feet hurt, I worked out too much at the gym last night, I got back late last night please let me sleep.

Lucky (Bucky x Reader)

A/N: Hey guys, sorry I didn’t post at all yesterday!! I took a break and spent the whole day drawing haha😅 Anyways, sorry if this is kinda short but I hope you guys still enjoy!!

Request: Ohh I’m so in love with your writing :) I hope you dont mind me sending something in as well. You work at a local Office in New York and Bucky is your fiance. One time he surprise you at work and brought you dinner. All your female colleages give him strange Looks at first so you pull him in another room where you eat together. Later as he gives you a loving kiss before leaving you see the woman checking him out, so you pull Bucky for a kiss again to Show them he is yours? :)

You tapped your fingers against the table as you stared at the computer screen, thinking about how you’d give anything in the world to be home with your fiancé now instead of being stuck here with all these work. Sighing, you stretched as you started to do your work again.

“Hey Clara, did you see the man that just came in?” You heard one of your colleagues ask another as the two of them walked back to their seats.

You were going to ignore their chatting until the next thing your colleague said caught your attention.

“Yeah, how could I not notice? He had a metal arm, Debby,” Clara said.

A huge thank you to my friend @bobbyschubenski for allowing me to be a part of @blackcraftspirits ❤️ I love surrounding myself with hard working, driven people who are passionate about their work and remain positive, humble, and encouraging. I’m so excited to be representing such an awesome product but even more excited to be part of such a strong family. Yesterday we were at the World of Wheels convention in Pittsburgh meeting a whole bunch of amazing people, handing out samples of this insane ghost pepper whiskey, and connecting with the people who make this all possible for us.
