“Sorry” she mumbled slowly pushing him towards the bench she had shared with Renee earlier that day.

“Divia I’m not upset I wish…” he sighed “I wish you’d own your feelings. If you feel angry be angry. If you feel like crying than cry. Don’t let me or anyone else dictate how you feel.” He fell silent while Divia sat down on the bench facing him. He reached over took her hand “I know I’ve been hard on you. I’m sorry. I thought if I pushed you enough you’d stand up for yourself.” He squeezed her hand “I guess that’s not what you needed and I’m sorry.”

Something broke inside her. Like a chunk of ice had fallen away from her heart. “Daddy” she cried throwing her arms around “I love you so so much and I’m sorry I doubted you.”

Hesitantly at first he raised his arms to hold her. “Does this mean I have a green light to set things up with Renee?”

“Oh daddy you’re impossible” she cried into his shoulder feeling she’d let him do whatever he wanted as long as she knew he loved her.

Day One Hundred and Twenty-Six

-A woman’s total came out to $6.32. She handed me $5.07 and waited patiently for her change. I let her know that there was $1.25 left, to which she let me know that this was the correct amount for her to receive back. Upon getting my point across, she handed me $1.00 more. Hesitantly, I pointed out the discrepancy, at which point she took the balance out of my hand and passed me a crisp ten.

-A bouncing baby with, what I suspected to be, a full diaper, showed me his talent of fitting his entire fist inside his mouth. Already, he has accomplished more in life than I could ever dream of achieving.

-When asked how she was today, a woman replied with only silence and a single thumb raised to the sky. This fleeting moment spoke volumes more than any mere words could.

-In one of the most tragic moments I have yet to witness, a jar of salsa slid out of a man’s cart and shattered into thousands of spicy shards, spraying all over his sandal-clad feet. This was not a tragedy for his loss of mild picante pleasure, nor did the sadness lie in the hot mess left for me to clean. The deeply troubling nature of the situation stemmed entirely from the squelches that accompanied each of his steps after.

-A man asked me not to bag any of his items, as he had, instead, brought along with him a large bucket.

-A five year-old girl approached my register, got up on her toes to rest her arm along the bar, and, holding up five of her little fingers, ordered as many stickers, to go. With a flick of my wrist and a wink of my eye, I served up this order, receiving only a blank expression in return. True artistes are never appreciated in their time, but I will never give up the Craft of Flair.

-I handed a child a sticker. His mother prompted him to thank me. When he did not, his mother revoked his sticker privilege and insisted that he say his thanks. Instead, he turned to me, looked directly into my eyes, and said, “Voodoo.” I deeply wish she had just let him keep the sticker. Another curse is the last thing I need right now.

-I saw a man in his eighties walk into the airlock at the store’s entrance, perch himself upon a motorized cart, and drift swiftly to sleep. I want this man to take me under his wing and teach me, as I could never achieve such sound slumber so speedily in such a trafficked place, but I know that I can never ask him as much. That would involve waking him up, and that simply will not do.

-I watched a young boy walk up to my lane, brandishing a pixelated sword from Minecraft and a Peter Quill mask from Guardians of the Galaxy. He asked me if I could ring up his aforementioned “Star Wars toys”, and after a brief pause, if I had heard of that new movie about the galaxy guards. When I told him that I had, he informed me that he was, in fact, the guy from that. Naturally, I was starstruck and asked him for more details. This rare celeb sighting was sadly cut short, as Star-Lord’s dad leaned over my counter, stole my hand sanitizer, and demanded to know what exactly was with these credit card chips he kept hearing about everywhere.

-A newborn child, scarcely two months-old, rolled through my lane and, in the moments that followed, changed my life. I smiled. She giggled. I waved my hand. She waved her foot. I stuck my tongue out. She waved both her feet. This is now, and will forever be, our secret handshake.

Masterlist

When he was 3 years old, he watched in amazement as the big truck pulled up to the curb of the suburban neighborhood he called home. With his nose pressed against the glass he watched two men step out of the truck and start unloading boxes onto the driveway. The simple action fascinated him for reasons he couldn’t explain.

The sun caught the exterior of the bright red minivan that pulled into the driveway, causing him to squint. He couldn’t believe his eyes when a girl hopped out of the backseat.

“Woah.” He mumbled against the glass, his hot breath causing it to fog up. Quickly wiping it away, he watched as she danced around the lawn while the rest of her family started moving boxes. Her pigtails bounced behind her as she ran around.

“Stiles? What are you doing?” His dad asked curiously. Before he could answer, his father noticed the moving truck and family moving in across the street. “Wanna go say hi?” His father offered, placing a hand on the small boy’s shoulder. Nodding furiously, he smiled up at his father.

WonderTrev + Watch

Just saw Wonder Woman for the second time and my WonderTrev feels have increased exponentially.

The watch, ugh, the watch!

1. It’s heavily implied that Steve’s standards of honorability come from his father, that the watch was some kind of rite of passage marker between generations of soldiers. Steve entrusting Diana with the watch means so much.

2. Time is a big theme with them, of course. “I wish we had more time,” Steve says. When Diana looks down at the watch in her hand, the time is something like 9:05. When she looks at it again in Paris a hundred years later, it’s still 9:05. Time stopped when Steve handed her his watch.

…I’ll be over here drowning in feels, NBD.

Why Diana and Steve Trevor are better than your OTP

I finally saw WONDER WOMAN today, and wow. Just wow. The film exceeded my already high expectations. Its highly wondrous success will definitely open many doors for women directors and women centric films, I’m sure. WONDER WOMAN 2017 is a force to be reckoned with, and even if a successful women centric film by a woman director like this doesn’t happen again in the near future, we will always have WONDER WOMAN 2017 to be proud of. *bows down to Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot*

I know WONDER WOMAN is not a romance movie, but I just have to highlight why Diana and Steve are better than almost all pairings.

  • “Would you say you’re a typical example of your sex?”
    “I’m above average.”
    I DIED.
  • When Steve explained “marriage” (the “till death do us part” vow) and “sleeping” to Diana, and she asked, “Do they do that? Do they love each other till death do them part?” And then she asked if the reason Steve didn’t want to sleep with her (by “sleep with her,” she actually meant sleep beside her) was because they weren’t married. Steve was hella awkward!
  • “Why are they holding hands?”
    “Probably because they are together.”
And then Diana took Steve’s hand and held it in hers. She was so pure!
  • When Diana had to try different outfits to blend into the crowd, and finally, Steve put a pair of eyeglasses on her eyes, and he was staring at her as though she was the most wonderful thing he’d ever seen
  • When Steve casually put his coat on Diana’s shoulders to keep her warm
  • Every single moment that they were fighting together. Diana wanted to save everyone, but Steve told her she couldn’t possibly do that. But Diana insisted. And then she was donning her wonderful Wonder Woman outfit, fighting the bad guys. Seeing Diana fight single-handedly encouraged Steve and his friends to do the same thing. And then they were fighting together. She was running on the roof; he was on the ground, running with her. Steve then remembered how, with the help of the Amazons, General Antiope used a shield to jump up, so when the time came, he and his friends did the same thing to help Diana jump up. THAT WAS EPIC!
  • When they slow-danced under the snow, the snowflakes as their audience. AND THE SCENE AFTER THAT.
  • “What I do is not up to you.”
Steve knew how strong, capable, and wise Diana was, but he still wanted to protect her in his own ways.
  • And lastly, even though they had different ways of doing things, which they argued about most of the time, and parted ways in the end, they were always a team that Steve willingly sacrificed his life not only because it was his way to help Diana but also because he knew by doing so, Diana would be able to save the world.
  • “Diana. I can save today, but you can save the world. I wish we have more time. I love you.” And he handed her his watch before he ran away to save the day as promised. The same watch she asked him about when they first met.

Prompt - Y/N is an artist who tends to find inspiration in others, as in she draws other people, and she draws Peter the most. He sees one of her drawings of him and asks her about it. FLUFFY!

Warning - none.

A/N: haven’t written anything in awhile and this might be a little short. Besides, I was getting bored. I am also in the midst of writing some smutty sin, so you can look forward to that.

She was a creative person, incredibly above average when it came to expressing her imagination. Her art was aesthetically pleasing to the eye, those who saw it wondered how a girl of such a young age could possibly make something so realistic. She had a talent for capturing the person’s essence in every drawing, or portrait to be more specific.

She drew everyone, whether they noticed it or not.

But there was one person who she absolutely loved to draw.

That person was Peter Parker.

The boy in the layered sweaters and graphic t-shirts.

She adored that boy’s physique because to her drawing him came like second nature. In her drawings, his fluffy brown hair would be perfectly styled, his clothes exactly the way he had them; disheveled.

But there had been one day when he had been late to school. He walked into their shared class, his hair tousled, his clothes in disarray. He had ran his hand through his wild morning hair in an attempt to tame it, and at that moment Y/N had already pulled out her sketchbook to draw his rugged appearance that captivated her so much.

She watched him for the duration of the class period to get his features perfect. Nobody noticed her watching him, it was a normal sight to see her staring at someone. Everyone knew that she was an artist and that she drew anyone that captured her eye, some people took it as a compliment, others didn’t.

She loved that drawing, she was proud of it.

Everyday she drew someone new, and among those new drawings was always an even better drawing of Peter.

In the beginning, when she first started drawing him she barely knew his name, she was just intrigued by his noticeable Star Wars t-shirt. But then as time went on, she became more infatuated with the young genius.

She tried talking to him but the moment she caught a glimpse of those chocolate brown eyes, her face would become warm and her eyes were immediately back on her sketchbook. He was her muse.

She found comfort in sketching his cheekbones, his jawline, his nose, his beautiful hair. It enraptured her.

She was in her last class of the day, off to the side in the last row of desks. Peter sat directly to her left.

She had already finished her classwork so she pulled out her almost completed sketchbook and opened it to an empty page, her pencils were already laid out waiting for her to use them.

She didn’t really mind if he noticed her drawing him, maybe he’d want to talk to her about it and then she’d actually be able to talk to him without being a shy idiot about it.

She began with the outline of his face. She had done these steps so many times that she could probably do them in her sleep.

She continued to sketch him, but she was so engrossed in her drawing that she didn’t notice Peter’s eyes flickering to her paper. He recognized the face as his own and his eyebrows furrowed together.

She’s drawing me. She’s actually drawing me,’ he thought.

A ghostly grin etches its way onto his face as he watches her, the pencil running over the paper, her index finger smudging the graphite for the appropriate shading, her bottom lip in between her teeth in concentration.

He noticed that she didn’t even need to glance at him to complete her drawing. Unknown to him, but she had his face permanently etched into her brain.

The bell rang signaling that it was finally time for the poor students to go home. Y/N packed up her stuff but carried her sketchbook in her arms.

As the students began to excitedly file out of the room, Peter followed behind Y/N to try and talk to her.

Y/N liked to take her time when she left school because she didn’t really like being in a crowded subway surrounded by tons of people, downside to living in New York. She walked slowly as she let her beat-up converse hit the newly polished school floors.

Peter tapped her shoulder making her turn around. When she saw that familiar face looking down at her with a gentle grin, her heart fluttered.

“Hey,” she said trying to make it seem like she wasn’t dying to run her fingers through his fluffy hair.

“Uh hi, I’m-uh, I’m Peter,” he managed to say, she smiled at his nervousness.

“Yeah, I know. You’re in most of my classes, you’re not invisible,” she clutches her sketchbook tightly in her arms.

He’s talking to me. He’s actually talking to me,’ she thought.

He blushed cherry red, “I um, I noticed you drawing me during class and I-” she wanted to let him finish but she had to ask.

“I didn’t make you uncomfortable, did I?” She asked, he shook his head vigorously.

“No! No, you didn’t make me uncomfortable. I just know that you draw everyone and I was curious as to why you were drawing me,” he explains.

“Because you’re beautiful,” she blurts out without processing the words as they left her mouth.

Peter’s grin then turns into a full blown smile, cheeks blazing red.

Y/N knew that she should feel embarrassed about what she had just said to the object of her artistic affection, but she wasn’t embarrassed.

“You think I’m…beautiful?” He couldn’t stop smiling, his cheeks were hurting from how hard he was smiling but he couldn’t help it.

A gorgeous and talented girl had just called him beautiful.

“Yeah. You’re my muse, my inspiration,” she wished she would just stop talking, but she had already started so there was no point in stopping.

“I know it’s a bit awkward but I-I draw you all the time, I find your features…fascinating,” she tells him, he chuckles.

“Well maybe we could hang out sometime and you can draw me as much as you’d like,” he offers awkwardly sliding his hands into his pockets, she hides her absolute joy by looking down at her sneakers as her cheeks turn a bright red.

“Um yeah, yeah I’d like that,” she accepts.

“Great.”

They leave the school together and he walks her home only for her to insist that he stay so she could take him up on his offer of making another portrait of him. He accepted, but this time it wasn’t a drawing…it was a painting.

He flipped through the pages of her sketchbook as she prepared the materials that she needed for the painting.

“Don’t you ever get tired of drawing me? I mean, I’m nothing special.”

She laughs, “Not at all, like I said…you’re my muse.”

.

.

A/N: I hope this was satisfying enough. I’ll probably be posting another fic this week because I’m having lots of inspiration. <3

The knot in your throat was painful and your lungs still struggled for air to breathe. Tears clouded your eyes and turned your vision blurry until his face was unrecognizable.

“You’re a coward,” you cried. “A fucking coward!”

I know your crazy busy with life and use your writing time for drive and winter song but... Could you write a smol sick fic? Nothing long or extravagant! It would be a blessing.

Summary: Yuuri falls ill during a practice at the Ice Castle. Pre-Episode 5.

***

When Victor excused himself from practice to take a quick phone call, Yuuri was fine. Perhaps a little quieter than normal while he rehearsed a combination spin out on the Ice Castle rink, one gloved hand extended gracefully overhead, but there was no indication that anything was wrong.

He was fine.

How that changed so quickly was anyone’s guess.

Victor was gone for less than five minutes, and when he returned, Yuuri was on his knees in the center of the rink with his head in his hands. Victor took one look and started running, even before he fully registered what he was seeing. He wasn’t wearing his skates for practice today, but that didn’t stop him from running out onto the ice and slipping and sliding for the first few steps before he regained his balance.

“Yuuri.” Victor came to a clumsy stop in front of him, and when he dropped to his knees, the ice soaked through the fabric of his pants. He grasped Yuuri’s shoulder and said, “What happened. Did you fall?”

Yuuri was shaking. His face was so pale that even his lips had lost their color, and he kept squeezing his eyes shut and reopening them as if to clear his vision. “Dizzy,” he said.

Summary: Eva goes to Noora for advice.

“I think Chris just asked me to be his girlfriend.”

In retrospect, Eva probably could have led with hello or what’s up before bursting into Noora’s bedroom with that particular news bulletin. In hindsight, she probably should have waited until she’d actually opened the door and crossed the threshold. And she should maybe (definitely) have knocked first.

@xxtorchxx made this gorgeous manip and it lit a fire of inspiration in me.  She was kind and generous enough to allow me to lend my words to her perfect image.  Just bask in this brilliance for awhile.   As should go without saying, do not repost, re-use or claim this work as your own.  If you like it, use that little reblog button in the bottom right corner of the post.

A million thank-yous @xxtorchxx for your talent and creativity and for your thoughts on this little fic to complement it.

Thanks to @reginalovesemma for the edits.  As always, you elevate my work.

A note about this little fic.  Mon-El was never Kara’s boyfriend.  In this little world, he was the funny, goofy, sidekick pal we all deserved him to be.  Kara misses him and does have to deal with the loss of a friend, but he did not have the dominating presence in her life he was given in canon.

Please enjoy!

The Bookstore

Hey guys! It’s me again, and I sorta wanted to write a Tom meet-cute because I daydream about those 25/8? This is just soft, fluffy and sweet, I hope you like it!
Author’s note: Tom is my screensaver and I went to Barnes and Noble today and the girl that was ringing me up was really, really nice and we were talking about Marvel because I was buying a comic, (I finally found Spider-Man Blue, three cheers for me!) and she was literally like, “oh my gosh, you and Tom would be super adorable together! I can just see it now!” And I sort of died? So this is just a story branching off of that?
The Bookstore
“Is that your boyfriend?” The saleslady asked, referencing the girl’s phone, as a smile that stretched from ear to ear crossed over her features. “He comes in quite often, has mostly good taste in books, although, sometimes his choices are questionable at best. Likes fantasy and adventure, some good, some not.”
The girl’s eyes widened and her mouth flopped open and shut like a guppy’s as she attempted to stutter out an appropriate response.
Tom Holland was the girl’s screensaver, and no, he most definitely wasn’t her boyfriend because he had no idea that she existed. Even if he had stumbled across her fan account, she’d just be another fan to Tom, maybe she’d even stand out for being an ultimate creep.
“He’s a very polite boy, you’re so lucky! My daughters are only interested in self-obsessed assholes.” The lady began to scan her choices, continuing to rant about her daughter’s apparent bad taste in men.
The girl was still struggling to comprehend her situation. The saleswoman clearly knew Tom, who apparently came in often, as did she, so she couldn’t really say that he wasn’t her boyfriend without looking like an utter and complete weirdo.
Pondering, she bit the inside of her cheek. Their paths had never crosses, so what could be the harm in indulging in a little fantasy? “We’ve been dating since last Spring,” She said, not daring to look into the kind eyes of the saleswoman.
“Ah, I see. I bet you two look absolutely adorable together, maybe turn him onto some high quality literature next time he comes in, eh?” The woman smiled from across the counter, waving the girl’s new Philip Roth books in the air before handing them over.
Reaching for her five purchases, the girl smiled and nodded, “I’ll do my very best!” She called and waved as she left the store.
Over the next few days, Tom wandered back into the bookstore. Navigating his way down the store’s narrow aisles, Tom searched for something that he could read on the plane that he’d inevitably be boarding sometime soon. He paused every so often to pick up a book, glance over the summary on the back, and reshelve it to it’s proper home.
After shuffling down another section, he came across the very same saleswoman who had helped the girl moonlighting as his girlfriend.
“How come you guys never come in together? She knows some good authors, I’m sure she’d love to help broaden your horizons.” The saleswoman said, maintaining her position, crouched over to straighten and tidy the shelves.
Tom looked around, unsure of who the woman was speaking to, because as far as he knew, none of his friends knew about this store. They opted for Barnes and Noble, while he prefered to dig.
“Yes, you. I just met your girlfriend and she’s lovely. Great taste in books.” The woman said again.
Scratching his head, Tom wasn’t exactly sure what to say, so he played along, not wanting to be rude. Surely she must be confusing him with someone else, because he didn’t have a girlfriend to share books with, as much as he’d like one.
“Yeah, we just have different schedules, she’s usually in class when I peruse the bookstore.” Tom said, bending down to help the woman on the floor.
“She’s very cute, and very sweet. It’s nice to see young people reading something that isn’t their twitter feed.” The woman said, taking one last glance at the fixed up shelf, before nodding decisively and standing up.
Tom stood as well, chuckling, “My Dad’s an author, so reading has always been apart of my life.”
“You guys are lovely, let me know if I can be of any help.” The woman began to walk away and Tom shook his head and laughed.
“How do you know that my girl is my girl? We never come in at the same time.” Tom asked suddenly, curiosity leaking into his bloodstream.
“She comes in more often than you, buys more books than you, and you’re her screensaver. It’s quite cute, actually.” The saleslady called out.
There it is, Tom thought, she might be a fan. He couldn’t think of any other reason that he’d be her screensaver. Shoving his hands into his pockets, Tom smirked and picked out not one, but two books. One to leave at the register for her the next time that he came in, and one for him to read while he was on the press tour.
“That is so thoughtful! She’ll love it!” The woman said from behind the cash register, clapping her hands together. “I’ll make sure that she gets it, alright? Wanna put a little message in it, promise I won’t peak! I’ve got a pen right here!” She chirped happily.
“Yeah, alright, I’ll actually do that. Could I please borrow your pen?” Tom asked.
Drawing a heart to conclude the note to his ‘girlfriend’ that he’d never met, he said thank you one to the lady one last time and left the store.
The very next morning, the girl pushed her wallet back into her purse at the bookstore’s register, waiting for the same saleswoman to finish ringing her up.
“Saw your boyfriend yesterday, left a little something for you.” The saleswoman smiled, turning around to sift through the books on display behind her to find Tom’s choice for the girl.
The girl felt the fiery licks of scarlet coloring her skin again. Her hands shook, surely Tom thought that she was a mega, ultra stalker. He’d probably left her a note begging her to kindly fuck off. She wished Mother Earth would swallow her up the same way it did to Sita in ‘The Ramayana.’
“Don’t be embarrassed, silly, it’s endearing.” The woman handed her a book titled, ‘Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair’ by Pablo Neruda. “He’s paid for it, of course, and he left you a little note on the first page. Lent him the pen myself.”
“He really shouldn’t have,” the girl stuttered, her hands almost noticeably shaking as she held the book within her palms.
Inside, Tom had scribbled out,
Seeing as you’re my girlfriend, I thought it was only fitting to leave you at least twenty love poems. Left you a song of despair as well, seeing as we haven’t met yet.
Love always,
Your devoted boyfriend, Tom

“Could I go back and pick one out for him as well?” The girl asked, feeling a tiny bit braver after reading Tom’s cheeky message for her.
“Of course! I love this, I wish more couples did things like this for each other, it’s endearing!” The saleswoman smiled, shutting the register.
After picking out an appropriate novel, she left the store, smiling, blushing and practically gliding on air.
Later that very afternoon, Tom was chased by the overbearing coldness of the afternoon breeze, and his own excitement over whether or not she’d received his present, back into the bookstore.
Not even bothering to look at anything, he came to a halt in front of the saleswoman, who upon seeing him enter, tore through her display to retrieve the novel that she’d left for him.
“Did she get it? Did she like it, I haven’t heard from her yet.” Tom asked, beaming at the woman.
“She loved it! She loved it so much, in fact, that she’s left one for you as well.” She handed him a novel called ‘One Day.’ “She’s left a love note for you as well!”
Tearing the book open, Tom came across her delicate handwriting sprawled in black ink.
Here’s to hoping that I meet you one day.
With all the love in my heart-
Your mystery girlfriend
Fighting the urge to hug the book closer to his chest, Tom made a choice.
“I’m going to go pick her a book out right now, and I’m going to wait right here until she comes back in. I want to give her this one in person.” Tom turned on his heel to search for the perfect book for to give her, when the saleswoman informed him that she’d already been in today.
“Alright then, I’ll be back first thing tomorrow.” Tom blushed, but continued on his way down through the shelves, desperate to find the perfect book for her.
Deciding on ‘You,’ by Caroline Kepnes, Tom paid and left the store, planning to return right when the bookstore opened.
The very next morning, Tom was perched in a cushy, plush chair, obscured by stacks and shelves housing novels, waiting for her. He’d positioned himself perfectly, ensuring that he could see the register at all times, but that the people at the register wouldn’t be able to spot him, unless they knew where he was hiding.
He was completely on edge. Every time the door opened, he’d practically leap to his feet, only to be met with disappointment because mostly everyone who wandered in off the street was either male, or too old to be his mystery girlfriend.
Finally, when Tom had all but lost hope, a girl so otherworldly beautiful that Tom truly debated in his mind whether or not the girl was even a girl, he briefly wondered if she was an ethereal fairy of sorts, floated into the room.
Her hair reflected light the same way that waves in the sea did, and her voice was so soft and warm that it sounded as he imagined his favorite hot drink would taste. She waved hello to the saleswoman before diving into the poetry section, hidden deep within the store.
Jumping to his feet, Tom rushed to finally meet her, rolling the book he planned to give her in between his palms.
Checking his hair one more time, Tom came to a stop next to her.
“Excuse me miss, I was just wondering if you happen to be my mystery girlfriend, who apparently has better taste in books than me?” Tom’s confidence was evaporating as she turned around to face him.
She was even prettier up close and Tom wanted to scratch his own eyes out for beginning the conversation with such a shit line.
Thankfully, she smiled, a strawberry jam colored blush widening across her delicate features. “That would be me, but unfortunately, you’ve caught me off guard and now I don’t have anything to give to you.” Her eyes refused to meet his own for more than a few seconds.
She could barely believe any of this. First, her celebrity crush and her happened to both shop at the same bookstore. Then, he goes along with the charade of being her boyfriend, and even leaves her gifts, and now, he was standing in front of her.
He looked like Prince Charming and her brain was turning to mush.
“Lucky for you, I don’t mind. But, I do have a book for you.” Holding the novel, ‘You,’ out to her, he began to sway from foot to foot, nervous that she’d hate it.
“Funny enough, that’s one of my favorite books,” She laughed, “But are you planning to kill me?” She referenced the plot of ‘You,’ which was more or less a horror story, hardly the conventional romance.
Stuttering, Tom attempted to clear his name. “I just thought it was fitting, seeing as we met in a bookstore, and so did Joe and Beck,” the main characters who become romantically involved in the novel, “And really, I just wanted you to have the line about the mouse in the house.”
“Are you going to get a cat to chase me out?” She teased, and Tom laughed.
“Absolutely not, you’re just all I’ve been thinking about. I wanna know you, and learn from your apparently epic choices in literature.” Tom said, leaning in closer to her.
“Than sit, and I’ll pick you something out?” She questioned, shyly moving to sit on the floor, her arm curled around more than a few options.
The pair scooched into one another one the floor, and the saleswoman watched, smiling from her spot at the register. Her two favorite customers were finally together.
Her eyes twinkled as she turned the radio onto a station that played only love songs.
They read love poems, and love stories together, so it only seemed fair that they listened to only love songs as well.

I eat at the same restaurant every day for the past 2 years

I’ve heard people on their phones speaking about their passions and fears

I see a couple at table 3 that arrive every Saturday afternoon

Every time they leave I feel like they left too soon

I envy the way he puts his hand on her thigh

And how they look into each other’s eyes

I wish I had their life

I bet I’d make the perfect wife

But instead I’m in this table for one

And keep writing because I’ll never be done

It’s 1:04

They’re out the door

The next week comes by and its noon and then…

The perfect couple rolls up again!

At table 3 he pulls out her seat

And she elegantly places the napkin on her lap so neat

The server asks what they want to eat

They ask for a dessert and treat

She’s the perfect woman that I wish to be

But I’m invisible and no one ever notices me

It’s 12:55

They’re up to leave and get close to me as they pass by

It’s Saturday again and my hatred is growing stronger

It’s 12:01 and I don’t know if I can wait any longer

Than the golden couple comes in and sits at their usual table

And they look too perfect like their relationship is a fable

They begin to speak but I never heard what they said

I can feel the rush of my veins and my face gets red

It’s 1:09

They’re out after they drink their glass of wine

The next week approaches and I’m in the table I always sit

There’s a storm and the electricity goes out so there’s many candles lit

It’s 12:04

The couple of the year is just outside the door

I see them arrive with all their coats wet

They enter the restaurant but the weather made them upset

She gets up to hang her soaked coat and I bump into her purposely

But when she turned around I realized she looked like me

It’s 12:28

And they leave not finished with their plate

It’s next week and it’s 12:15

They aren’t anywhere to be seen

It’s 12:44

They haven’t stepped in the door….

It’s 1:02

I don’t know what to do!

They are not here

Where is the couple of the year?!!!

It’s 1:13

They still aren’t anywhere to be seen

I ask the server where the couple is from table 3

“What couple?” He asks me

I shout, “The ones that come every Saturday morning!!!!”

And he insists that there is no couple with a warning

I see blood on my hands and my shirt

But I do not feel hurt

Whose blood could this be?

But I have something more important on my mind to worry

So I grabbed the phone and yelled at the server to dial them

But he pushed me out the door… and I realized I was in an asylum

The guard holds me down, a needle goes into my skin as I shout

And everything goes dark and I blackout…

I wake up, how long has it been?

I try and get up but the room starts to spin

The doctor comes in

He says I’m finally making progress with a grin

I ask him what I’m doing in this place

And the smile gets off his face

It’s 11:17

I wish I could take back all the things I’ve seen…

I remember I was working on being a writer

But my dreams turned to ashes as if burned with a lighter

I worked hard and so did she

But she was always better than me…

It’s 11:26

I tell the doctor there’s nothing left to fix

I remember what I’ve done

I remember how my hatred won

It’s 11:53

I killed my twin sister in the name of jealousy

She had everything that I wanted

And I had their blood in my hands so she haunted

She came into my head and made me remember like a loon

What had happened to her and her husband at table 3 that Saturday at noon

She showed me the restaurant where I committed my crime

And she made me pay with the price of counting every minute of time

She plays the different days of my feeling of hate

And she’ll make me remember her fate

She replays the scenes like a movie in my head

And makes me go through them again and again……

It’s noon!

The couple of the year walks in

They laugh at table 3 with a grin

He caresses her hair and kisses her cheek

And their love makes me feel disgustingly weak

They are everything I want to be

But I’m invisible because no one ever notices me

I feel my hatred for them growing inside

But it’s 1:04 and they’re already outside

The next week comes and today is the day

The perfect couple will have their last things to say

It’s 12:04

I hear the tune in the restaurant but I am out by the door

I wait for the perfect couple as they step inside while I wait out with my knife

I go inside and I take their life

She screams I’m her twin and to please have a heart

But I can never be done with what I start

She whispers in my head that the memory is my punishment and there’s nowhere I can hide

So she keeps replaying these memories in my mind…

It’s noon……

I pinch the bridge of my nose, eyes squinting in frustration and anger, trying to wrap my head around her words. “I’m sorry.”

I take a deep breath, finally opening my eyes and staring into hers. She didn’t seem bothered. Her eyes weren’t watering like mine, her face didn’t hold the same sad, contorted expression as mine did. Although, why should it? We were nothing serious, just fooling around.

“I just wish you told me sooner.” I huff, taking yet another deep breath in attempt to steady my rising heart rate. There was no denying I had accidentally caught feelings along the way of our hookups. Someone was bound to, and that just so happened to be me. Am I surprised? No, because this is the type of dumb shit I pull daily, and I’m honestly beginning to question every choice in life I’ve ever made.

Sh*t I’m still working on

- I came out 6 months ago and it’s still hard for me to say the word “lesbian” out loud. When I do come out to someone I use the word “gay” but like I know my aversion to the word is just internalized lesbophobia and misogyny and I don’t want that to affect my word choice? I’m a lesbian and i want to feel 150% comfortable saying the word “lesbian”.

- When I see a sexual lesbian scene (OITNB or The L Word) I instantly feel a cold fist in my stomach and a compulsion to avert my eyes. I still feel guilty about finding any of that stuff attractive.

- A couple of months ago I saw a Tumblr post talking about a new movie about a 9 year old lesbian who has a crush on her friend and my first thought was “Ew, why would they make a movie that sexualizes kids like that?” and then I realized that my knee-jerk reaction was way off. Like there’s nothing wrong or hypersexual about a 9 year old girl holding another 9 year old girl’s hand. But I had spent so many years hiding that part of myself, and buying into the idea that lesbianism is innately bad and dirty and shameful that to see it be the center of a movie freaked me out. But then I thought about it and felt bad for 9 year old lesbian me who had to deal with those feelings of repulsion about herself and couldn’t even admit she was having them… And it made me realize how important movies like that really are…

Representation is so important. The first time I saw a woman show a physical desire to be with another woman was when I was 13 and watching tv with my family and an advertisement for a well-known pervy (geared towards male audiences) DVD franchise came on and of course it featured female college students making out. My dad got so upset he called the tv station to complain. Meanwhile I had a lot of feelings but couldn’t acknowledge any of them… And it made me wish that with all the TV and movies I saw I could have seen just a few gay couples… 9 year old girls holding hands, a 15 year old getting kissed by her girlfriend for the first time, college girlfriends coming up with cute ways to help each other study… just some positive characters I could have looked at and realized “Oh. They’re cute and sweet together. There’s nothing wrong with that. That’s normal. I’m normal.”

The Need (Joker x Reader)

“Imagine the Joker falling for you when you’re taken hostage during a bank heist.”

Requested by Anon: “Can you write something where the joker meets a girl while him and Harley are out causing mayhem and the joker can’t get the girl out of his head? And he eventually leaves Harley for her?”

A/N: I almost made this a two part fic because I didn’t want it do be too long. But I like how it came out. I hope you guys like it too!~

Warnings: Violence, swearing, falling for people who probably aren’t good for you.

Why did banks always have such long lines? You’d think that they would be a bit more efficient.

“Don’t you just hate long lines?”

“Sorry, what?” You blinked a few times before you realized that the man in front of you was speaking to you. He repeated himself and smiled at you, to which you smiled in return. “Yeah, the lines are usually what keep me from making frequent trips here.”

He laughed and nodded in agreement. “Same here. The reason I’m even here today is for my son.”

“Oh really?” You looked around, “where is he?”

“At the hospital, he just had surgery so I’m withdrawing some money to go buy him something to keep him occupied while he’s recovering.”

Your smile grew a bit, “that’s kind of you. How old is he?”

“He’ll be 6 next month.”

Before you could respond, the blast of an explosion threw everyone in the line onto the floor. The room was engulfed in smoke and debris from the explosion. As the dust started to settle, you could see the two figures responsible.

“Listen up, everybody!” The female voice called out. “You’re all going to do as we say and if you don’t, well…we’ll have to kill ya.” The woman walked towards you and the others who had been line. “Ya got that?”
