hi!! I've been following ur baby time series for awhile, and if ur still taking requests could you do one where a weird alpha (male or fem) starts trying to chat up tooru in a public place but pregnant omega means a fertile omega and and some alphas want that as a Mate and will try to take that mate (it's a really old way of thinking) (if ur not doing requests anymore, it's fine!!! I'm just a sucker for protective iwa)

*You are so lucky you sent this when you did, because I only write this story in order and if I had posted what I was going to before you sent this, I would have had to disregard this. Good timing, anon!*

“Do you remember if we have any tofu left in the fridge?” Tooru asks as he scrolling through the grocery list on his phone, trying to remember if he’d seen any when he glanced in it earlier.

He gets no answer besides a half shrug from the alpha next to him, Hajime being more preoccupied in trying to keep the little pup bundled to his chest from reaching for things off the shelves instead. After the toddler reaches to slap at the boxes on the row for a third time, Hajime takes a step back from Tooru’s side bopping the pup’s little hand lightly.

“Taichi, Daddy said no. Don’t touch those.” He’s using his stern voice and their son whines at the sound of it, giving one more glance to the boxes before dropping his hands as he’s told. Tooru quickly fishes from the baby bag a teething ring for him to play with and his mood instantly brightens as he shoves the toy in his mouth.

Hajime pats his head, looking at his omega again, “Should I go run and get some?

Tooru smiles, “Do you mind? I really don’t feel like walking all the way back there again.”

“I don’t, I’d rather you not walk around so much anyways. Sit tight for me, okay? We’ll be right back.”

The omega hums, waving his alpha and pup away before looking back down at the list and grabbing the rest of what they needed from the aisle. He checks the list again, comparing it to what’s already in the cart to makes sure everything is there. Tooru makes a noise when he realizes they are missing one thing off the list.

“Ugh…laundry detergent…that’s just on the next aisle, I’m sure Hajime won’t mind if I just…”

Tooru moves to push the cart, taking the few steps it took to get him into the other aisle and to the detergent he preferred, giving it a frown when he realized how high up it was. “Did they rearrange the aisle…?”

He pouts further, debating with the idea of reaching and getting it himself, knowing the earful he’d get from his alpha for it. He’s so focused on the idea of just figuring out how to reach up there without hurting himself that he doesn’t even notice the presence of another is next to him until that person starts speaking.

“Want me to get that for you?”

Tooru startles, turning his head to the side and instantly taking in the obvious alpha now standing next to him. The guy is tall, taller than Tooru himself and that fact alone gives makes the omega slightly uneasy. He rubs over his pup swollen stomach almost restlessly.

“Uh, it’s fine. I’m pretty sure I can get—” But the alpha is already pulling down and setting the bottle in the cart before he can refuse.

The alpha gives him a grin and Tooru gives a weak smile back. “T-thank you.”

“My pleasure.” And the omega swears this man purrs at him.

“I do have to get going now, but I really appreciate the help—” He tries to say quickly, moving to back up his cart, feeling a pang of fear when the alpha suddenly reaches to grip onto it, making it impossible for him to move.

“I just thought it would be cruel of me not to say that you are probably the most gorgeous omega I’ve seen in a long while…the way you carry child is just…” There’s this sort of leering expression across his face and it makes Tooru’s insides twists.

“Tha-That’s very kind of you to say, but I really do need to go find my alpha now. He’s probably looking for me…” Tooru tries to put major emphasis on ‘my alpha’ praying that this creep would finally get the hint.

The cart is still in between them, but it’s still too close for Tooru’s own comfort, especially with how small the baskets were. The freaky alpha doesn’t hesitate to try to take a side-step around it either, making Tooru take his own step to the side to still keep it in between them.

“What if I told you that I could be your alpha instead, I’m positive we could make very big and healthy pups if we were together…”

Tooru doesn’t hide the repulse at the idea in his expression, utterly disgusted this guy would assume an obviously mated and married omega would even consider the idea.

“I’m married!” He bites back at him, brows furrowing as he glared at the foul way the alpha kept on smiling.

“To an alpha who makes you do all the shopping alone? Sounds like a great person…” Tooru despises the sarcasm in his tone; he wants to hit this man in the face.

“My husband is here with me,” the omega tells him knowingly, “getting what I asked him for like a good alpha, nothing like a fucking creep who hits on uninterested omegas because he’s got the brain capacity of an infant and doesn’t know how to take ‘no’ for an answer.”

The alpha bristles at his words and Tooru braces himself, fully prepared to shove the cart into him and scream if he so much as moved. He watches as the alpha’s knuckles tighten on the cart, refusing to let himself be afraid of the low growl that bubbles past his chest.

“You should really learn your fucking place you damn bitch, I was trying to be the nice one here. You should realize the only thing you’re worth is bearing children for strong alphas like me, you should be grateful I even decided to offer—!”

Tooru realizes he’s about to take a step. He opens his mouth to yell, fingers prepared to push—

“What’s going on here?” An icy, familiar voice rumbles down the aisle suddenly and Tooru can almost cry when his alpha’s scent fills his senses.

He turns just enough that he can glance at his husband and the picture he makes—even with their son still strapped to his chest—is piss-inducing. He notices the subtle way the other alpha tries to take a step back and it makes him want to laugh.

Hajime takes slow, but sure steps down the length of the aisle, quickly unstrapping Taichi from the carrier and passing him off to Tooru, the pup instantly curling against him, burying his face into Tooru’s neck. Tooru takes a few steps back, giving the two alphas a wide berth, marveling in the way the taller alpha was starting to submit just at Hajime’s glare.

Hajime lets out a low, threatening growl, making the other man stiffen even more, Tooru hardly even has the chance to blink before his alpha has the other up by his collar and the other man lets out a terrified yelp.

“Let me make this very clear,” Hajime begins to say, voice so deep and startling that it even pins Tooru to his place, “don’t ever come near my omega again if you know what is good for you. If you so much as breathe in his direction again, I’ll personally see to it that you end up losing a couple of limbs.”

The airborne alpha makes a cry of protest, “I-I-I wasn’t doing anything to your omega, sir! I was just helping him get down something off the shelf, I swear!”

Hajime hits him against the shelf, making the other man whimper when he brings their faces closer, “You act like I can’t smell my omega’s distress from a mile away!”

The alpha gulps, expression that of true terror when the stronger alpha whispers, “If I find out that you even disturbed the slightest hair on his head, I will personally make it my mission in life to fucking destroy you. Don’t think that I won’t hunt you down if I find out you’ve done anything to him.”

He quickly releases his collar letting the creep bust his ass on the floor. Hajime looms over him, glaring with all of his might. “Now get out of my fucking sight.”

The other alpha doesn’t need to be told twice and scampers out of sight looking like a dog with his tail between his legs. Hajime doesn’t take his eyes off of him until he’s disappeared from the aisle way, turning back to Tooru and his pup and hurrying back over once he knew they were safe.

He reaches out to cup Tooru’s cheek, looking over him worriedly. “Are you—?”

Tooru just take pushes forward, moving until he’s in his husband’s arms as Hajime wrapped him in a hold while being careful not to crush their pup and Tooru’s belly in between.

“I want to go home.” He tells Hajime seriously, having a hard time keeping himself from trembling with how scared he was.

Hajime just nods and without a word takes the cart, keeping a protect arm around Tooru’s waist as they walked to the register. When they make it to the counter, Hajime is sure to give the cashier a description of the guy and brief account of what happened. It probably wouldn’t do much, but for the slim chance that it could, well.

They leave the store and he quickly sets the bags he was carrying in the car, the alpha tucking their child into his car seat afterwards—after a few necessary nuzzles and kisses to calm his little nerves. He assists Tooru to his own seat, giving him a few kisses too for good measure. He doesn’t let go of Tooru’s hand until they arrive home and he repeats the actions of taking his pup and husband out, saving the bags for last as he carried the several on one arm and Taichi in the other.

That moment of relief doesn’t hit him until he’s standing in the kitchen putting up the groceries while listening to Tooru rocked Taichi for his nap and he can finally ease down enough to realize his omega and pup were definitely safe now. He rests his head down at the counter for a moment just to let out the heavy breath he’d felt like he was holding this whole time.

It’s a little while after when Tooru comes to sit with him on the couch after getting their restless pup to sleep. The omega lets out a sigh of his own when he’s finally tucked back against the alpha again, voice soft as he murmurs, “I really can’t believe the nerve of some people…”

Hajime hums in agreement, pulling Tooru even closer to him. He lifts an arm from where it had been around the other’s waist so that he can bury his fingers in his hair, stroking it gently.

“…are you okay?” He questions after several minutes of silence, keeping with stroking the omega’s hair in a way which would usually have him purring by now.

Tooru nods once against his shoulder, reaching for Hajime’s other free hand to play with his fingers. “Just a little spooked still…and disgusted that people like that still exist.”

“He didn’t hurt you at all?” Hajime confirms.

The omega shakes his head, “No, just said some nasty things.”

“Yeah. I heard.”

Tooru picks up his head at that. “You heard all of that?”

This time Hajime shakes his head, “No, I just heard him call you a bitch and I almost went over there and strangled him right then. I probably would have if you and Taichi hadn’t been there.”

Tooru eases back into his side. “I’m glad you didn’t. I really wouldn’t want my alpha going to jail, justified or not.”

“Let’s just hope I never see that fucker again then.”

Tooru is almost tempted to laugh. “You’re such a good alpha.” He whispers instead.

It’s enough to make Hajime smile. “Let me be an even better one by drawing a bath for the two of us. We’ll even throw in one of those smell things you love so much.”

The noise the omega makes is a happy one. “You’re already the best alpha, now you’re just fishing for brownie points.”

Iwaizumi snorts. “No,” he corrects, “I’m just trying to take care of my omega who had to deal with a real shitty guy today. Let me spoil you, okay? It’d make me feel better if you do.”

Tooru shakes his head with a small laugh, “How can I argue with those reasons?”

“You can’t, so let’s go relax together in a bath for a while and then cuddle up with our little man for a movie when he wakes up.”

The omega smiles gratefully at him. “You know we are going to just put on Finding Dory again, that’s his favorite.”

The alpha grins, “Finding Dory it is then.”

house of horrors

spooky percabeth halloween fic.

The house loomed over them, ramshackle shingles hanging from the roof and grime coating the walls. The grass of the front lawn came up to their knees, so overgrown that it was devouring the porch that wrapped around the entire lower floor. The entire thing was so decrepit that it was at risk of collapsing in on itself with the next slight breeze.

“No,” Annabeth said immediately.

Piper elbowed her side. The streetlight across the road cast a halo around her, making her glow. “Too chicken?”

Annabeth scrunched up her face. “I’m not scared. I just think it’s a dumb idea.”

“Oh yeah, you’re terrified.” Piper smirked.

“I am not scared of a stupid house!” Annabeth exclaimed.

“Prove it. Come inside.”

“Because it’s Halloween -”

“It’s October 22, it’s not Halloween.”

“It’s Halloween season you loser, get in the spirit.”

“Was that a ghost pun?”

“Yes it was. Now will you come in with me, or am I just going to leave you out here alone?”

Annabeth sighed. “Fine. Lead the way.”

I'm playing Hamlet in my school's production, and the more I get to know him, the more I'm disgusted by him. Help my find some redeeming qualities?

Okay, anon. I feel you, I really do. Hamlet at the surface is an idiot and a total jerkhead that whiny guys empathize with waaay too much.

But: that’s the influence of hundred of years of male academics looking at the play and trying to connect it to their own lives and ‘deep thoughts’ (I’m looking at you, Victorians.) I want you to consider this instead: Hamlet is not actually anything like how he portrays himself during the play.

Jily fluffy Christmas drabble - it’s 7th year and Lily wants to decorate the Head’s Office : ) (other Christmas-time prompts welcome!)

“Ja-ames, Ja-aa-ames…” Lily’s voice rang out excitedly as she popped open the box of decorations.

James purposefully kept his face glaring down at the parchment in front of him, the excitement in Lily’s voice twitching his lips upward despite himself.

“What, Evans? I’m trying to finish this report for McGonagall sometime before the New Year,” James told her, throwing her a look overtop his glasses.

“But you promised to help me decorate for Christmas.”

“I most certainly did not agree to that.”

  “Yes, you did.”

“No, I’m quite certain I did not.”

James sighed, setting down his quill before running his hands over his face and standing up. He stretched, raising his arms over top his head as his back curved.

Lily gave him only a short look before becoming consumed once more by the box of decorations in front of her. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and as she was spending her last Christmas, as a student, at Hogwarts, she was determined to decorate anywhere and everywhere she frequented. However, as Professors and Prefects lined the halls decorating corridors, common rooms, and the Great Hall, little was left for Lily herself to do, which was why she had invaded the Head’s Office much to the apparent dislike of her fellow Gryffindor and Head’s student James Potter.

Nevertheless, James shuffled over to her side, his hands tucked deep into his pockets as he peered into the container of decorations. Lily shifted uncomfortably at their proximity, but worked to ignore the mounting timidity as she pulled out bulbs for the Christmas tree Hagrid had brought into the office earlier that afternoon.

What did it matter that James hadn’t asked her out this year, despite what she felt to be obvious hints on her part? And so what that he also hadn’t made any indication that he had interest in her any longer. Even though it was often on her mind these days, he was apparently oblivious to it, or perhaps just didn’t care anymore. There were hundreds of things for her to worry about, apart from her fancying a bloke who apparently didn’t fancy her any longer. None of this was important during Christmas. At least that’s what she reminded herself as she watched him from the corner of her eye.

fic: quite reasonable implications and the casual approach

Ten/Rose, set after New Earth. All ages, fluff.

“You puckered up,” she said bravely, desperate to tease him but folding her arms in preparation for his no doubt defensive stance on her comment.

“I what?”

“When Cassandra was in my body, and she grabbed you by your hair and forced you into that kiss. Only, she didn’t really force you into it, did she?” She unfolded one of her arms to poke him in the chest. “‘Cos you leant in and puckered up.”

The Doctor stared at her, his eyebrows raised. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he sniffed. “I was just as surprised as you were.”

Analyzing possible hints in 5x10

So yesterday’s episode was not really what we hoped to see, but it definitely wasn’t a bad episode for Beth clues either. There’s a few things that caught my attention that I’m going to discuss here.

  1. The opening credits theory
  2. Bethmobile theory
  3. It’s all a dream theory
  4. Coda theory
  5. Daryl’s one true love
  6. Writing style

I'm interested in your theories on Reese/Shaw and Root/Shaw (based on your tags from that gifset) if you would care to share.

All right, but you might not like them.

When you watch their scenes in S2/early S3, there’s definitely something going on. They’re teasing each other, Shaw’s commenting on his love life and so on. It feels like they’re flirting.

And then he confesses his love for Carter (which isn’t surprising, we know he admired her), and then she dies. It would be insensitive and untrue to his character to have him flirt with Shaw. Or Zoe for that matter (where is she anyway?).

So, theory #1: they were planning to go there (face it, it would make sense) but changed their minds because of Carter’s storyline. Theory #2: they weren’t planning to go there, but some writers put the flirty lines there and TBTB missed it/thought it would look like siblings teasing each other/thought some flirting would be good for ratings and went for a little inconsistency. Pick whichever option you want, I’m going with the last one.

And then, to avoid further confusion, they started writing them as siblings, coined the term “mayhem twins” and wrote scenes like the one from Honor Among Thieves (Plus you won’t get to look at him anymore. // Are you trying to make me kill you?). Those definitely give a sibling vibe, not “secretly jealous”. And that’s where we are now.

Simply put: they’re here to attract younger audience and help them move on after Carter’s death. I’ve suspected this since Shaw’s first appearance in season 2, but my observation of notes on my gifsets only solidified this one.

Before I explain, I need to make one thing clear. I support women’s rights, including the right to abortion. I support gay marriage. I’m not racist or homophobic. I support everyone regardless of their sex, gender, orientation, political views etc, as long as they’re good. I have friends who don’t support gay marriage, I have friends who do — it’s all good. We’re respectful and nice, and that’s all.

But one thing I really don’t like is political correctness. I watch many shows but I don’t consider myself a part of their fandoms. But on Tumblr there are many young people, and among them many extreme feminists who will see everything as an insult, even a genuinely funny and innocent joke. I absolutely hate this part of Tumblr and I try to separate myself from those people as much as possible. I’ve been told, “I won’t watch Person of Interest because two dudes are the leads”. Screw that.
The show was initally targeted for older audiences who won’t need the stars to get naked and have hot, dirty sex in every episode. I don’t remember the exact ages, but I think it’s between 25 and 49, right? So that was the target audience in S1, and sexy relationships were never the focus of main plots in Person of Interest and it was always one of the things I most loved about it.
And I remember people complaining mid season 2 that there weren’t enough women in the show, even though we had the ass kicking Joss Carter and Kara Stanton at the time. So they introduced Shaw (who, hilariously, was met with mixed feelings at best). Root was already recurring but their paths were separate. Their interactions begin in season 3 - and if you think about it, it gets more intense after Carter’s death which is when John is unavailable to flirt with Shaw.I think they were put on the show to attract a younger audience - and it worked, though they had to pay the price for that and say goodbye to some of those viewers because they felt personally offended that Carter was killed. I noticed that if I gif John/Finch (who haven’t had any decent scenes together lately, might I add), I will get about 150 notes. If I gif something including Root, Shaw or the two of them, I will get over 300. And that’s because tumblr’s full of young women so yeah, this shift in viewers shows.

I don’t mind having gay or bisexual pople on the show. I just don’t like the fact that the show puts too much emphasis on the “not-so-secretly gay” thing they have going on. None of the previous heterosexual relationships got this much exposure. Not John/Carter, not John/Zoe, not John/Jessica, not even Harold/Grace. And I happen to know that there are people who are tired with the subtext between the two and they wish it would either go away or become canon because they’re tired of queer baiting (which is, once again, a way of gaining more viewers).

And you know, ultimately it’s your business, but for me, John and Harold have always been the heart of the show. (Yes, I said John and Harold are the heart of the show. Not Carter.) I also adore Fusco and I want to see all three redeem themselves. It’s been about them since the first episode. And here’s my largely rhetorical question: if so many people watch Person of Interest and I get so few notes on John/Harold gifsets, does this mean others are watching purely for Shaw/Root? I hope not, but if you are, you’re really missing out. And if I were you, I’d brace myself for what’s coming next. Because I see a redemption path for Root that ends with her sacrificing herself for Team Machine, and perhaps taking Shaw with her. I might be wrong, but they’ve been hinting at it since last season…

Oh, and PS. I don’t mind having them on the show, I enjoy seeing where this goes, I just don’t like the reasons for their presence.

Let the unfollowing begin…

The Forbidden Actions

I’m betting now that the forbidden actions on the bracelets are all themed after school rules, possibly Hope’s Peak’s. And I mean the actual Hope’s Peak Academy, not Monokuma and Monomi’s rules in the other killing games. Who knows, it might even be another reason why the two DR3 anime are airing at the same time: the Despair one might show some school rules. But, then again, it seems Hope’s Peak barely gives a crap about what their students do, so… (I got this idea from some Reddit threads, by the way. Credit to them for making me think about this.)

Let’s start with the two forbidden actions we know for a fact: Makoto and Daisaku. Daisaku’s prohibited him from witnessing violence. Add the phrase “between classmates” to the end of that, and it wouldn’t be out of place in a school. Makoto’s prohibits running…in the hallways. Yes, the fact that it specifies it like that seems extremely important in this whole “theme” thing. These two are without a doubt potential school rules.

The other characters have more vaguely implied rules, but there are still hints for most of them. The only ones who I’m clueless about are Kouichi, Kazuo, Chisa, Ruruka, and Hiro (if he’s even part of the game, which I don’t think he is. Maybe his could be “prohibited from entering the building” if he is part of it?).

It seems pretty likely that Kyoko’s is something like “forbidden from talking to boys”. Not only did she not talk to Makoto at all, but she didn’t react verbally in the scene with Ryouta and Kazuo. I see people theorizing about hers being just “not allowed to talk to Makoto” but that seems a bit off to me. Not only would that essentially give her immunity from the bracelet’s poison if Makoto died, but you’d figure she would at least say something in the scene with the other two guys. Of course, she didn’t appear much overall in episode 2, so this one could easily be debunked. Although this one seems a bit odd for a school rule, it could still somewhat work. I also saw “don’t speak unless spoken to” which fits the theme better, but I don’t recall if she did exactly that or not. I think the only time she spoke was to answer someone’s question, which would work even better than my initial ideas.

Miaya’s is probably “prohibited from touching classmates”. She flinched when she was about to be touched (I forget by who, sorry. Was it Hina?) and there was a strange amount of emphasis put on it. You could just blame this on her being shy, but it seemed too out of place to just be that.

Seiko seems to be “unable to argue with classmates”. I’ve also seen “unable to help anyone wounded” floating around, but I don’t really see how that could work with the general theme. She only glares at Ruruka in this episode, as far as I remember. Whether it applies to just Ruruka or everybody else too is unclear, but it’s probably everyone because of the aforementioned “immunity if she dies” thing.

Sounosuke’s is likely “prohibited from eating in class”. He declines a candy from Ruruka, and like with Miaya flinching, his refusal was fairly emphasized. Maybe he just did it out of respect, since, y’know, someone had just died in front of him. But I don’t know. Maybe it could just be “prohibited from eating candy/junk food in class” because otherwise he could starve to death easily. But the only one who probably carries that kind of food around (or possibly any food, really) is Ruruka, so…maybe it really would be the first one. I’m not positive. Either way, this one will be tricky for him if the killing game goes on for too long. The risk of starvation aside, he’s addicted to those candies. Ruruka seems pretty insistent on feeding them to him. I could easily imagine her force-feeding him one and not realizing her mistake until it was too late. I’ve also seen “can’t accept things from others” but I’m not sure how that fits the theme.

This one’s a bit shaky, but maybe Ryouta’s could be “cannot allow violence against girl classmates to occur in his presence” or “cannot witness harassment among classmates”? Butting into Kyoko and Kazuo’s situation seemed a little paranoid and overly-cautious; he was probably worried that he would do something to Kyoko in front of him, if one of those really is his rule. Of course, Ryouta seems to be a pretty anxious person in general. That scene could mean nothing, it just seemed a little out of place in my mind. This rule (and Daisaku’s too, now that I think about it) are like punishing a bystander who witnessed bullying for being a bystander that did nothing to stop it.

I think most people believe Kyosuke’s is “prohibited from opening doors”. That seems pretty likely. It was so strange that he stopped and gave up the way he did. It’ll definitely be inconvenient and a huge weakness if he loses all his allies. I’ll admit, this one is hard to fit into the school theme. The only thing I can think of is how, in DR1, the students were prohibited from forcing open locked doors.

Juzo’s is also a little shaky, but maybe it could be “prohibited from punching classmates”? I didn’t actually notice this myself, but in one of the threads I skimmed, it was noted that after everyone received their bracelets, he didn’t punch anybody. He kicked instead. A bit peculiar for the former boxer who literally punched Makoto in the gut for practically no reason in episode 1, right? He’s the kind of guy who goes with his instincts first, his logic second. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if he slipped up and died from poison like Daisaku.

I’ve heard a variety of things for Hina and Great Gozu, but I’m not really sure about them myself. I’ll mention them just in case, although I’m assuming Hina’s will probably be mentioned in the next episode. Some people think Hina was “not allowed to fight back” but I’ve also seen something about how she put up a struggle when she was being killed, since her position changed. I’ve also seen a suggestion that Great Gozu’s might be “not allowed to let anyone die in his watch”. If that’s the case, I’m not sure what will happen in regards to Hina’s death. Is him being asleep still counted as being on watch? I don’t really know how these fit into the theme either. I would say that Hina’s is sort of like the typical “no talking back to the teacher” rule but Kyoko’s seems to fit that more.

The other characters I mentioned earlier up are still too vague to really predict at all yet. We’ll have to wait and see if the next few episodes confirm or disprove these. If you have any other ideas, feel free to add them! I’m really curious. I wrote all of this when I was tired, so please excuse me if it doesn’t make sense in some parts.
