Jerome Valeska Imagine - He Takes You With Him
My heart felt like it could explode any minute. The bus smelled like gasoline and I knew that we could all die very soon. Our hands were cuffed into some chains so no one could leave this bus. The red head who was behind this all was walking closer to me. It was Jerome Valeska. He had killed his own mother. It was all around the news not so long ago.
It’s not like I cared about the girls in this bus. In fact, I hated them all. They had treated me like shit since I joined this team. I was more worried about my own life. He just tried to set this thing on fire but his lighter didn’t work. Now he wanted a lighter from us.
‘’I asked you something. Anyone got a light?’’ Jerome had to repeat himself a little angrily. The other girls cried and tried to tell him no. Then there was me. ‘’Yes’’ I managed to say with fear in my voice. Jerome turned to look at me just as the police sirens came closer. Only his eyes made a shiver run down my spine.
‘’Well well well look at you’’ He giggled and put his gun against my head. Oh shit. ‘’Give it to me’’ He demanded more seriously. That’s when I raised my hands to show him that they were still cuffed. Jerome sighed and rolled his eyes before he actually uncuffed me. Some of the girls were staring at me in disbelief. How could she do that? Is she fucking serious? I could almost read their minds by the looks on their faces.
‘’Now hand it over’’ Jerome reminded me, snapping me out of my thoughts. With trembling hands I grabbed my black bag. I emptied it and then scavenged through my stuff. Then I found it, my orange lighter I used to the few cigarettes I smoked when I was really stressed. ‘’Since you were so kind, I’ll take you with me’’ Jerome said and then laughed. My eyes widened and I felt sick.
I would go with him?
Jerome grabbed my arm and yanked me up. Me knees were shaky but I managed to walk. As we got out of the bus I saw police cars. The officers were hiding and pointing at the bus with their guns.A part of me wished that someone would save me but on the other hand, I wanted to go with Jerome as well. This made me feel so alive.
‘’Ha ha ha!’’ Jerome laughed even more. He enjoyed this so much. The police couldn’t shoot towards the bus because it could set on fire. ‘’Here loser, light ‘em up!’’ Jerome yelled and then threw the lighter to one of his friends. Before I could think of anything else, he started running towards a red truck. Of course I had to run as well since his grip on me was tight.
‘’Get in!’’ Jerome growled and literally pushed me inside. The driver hit the gas pedal Jerome was standing on the stairs and he looked at the cops. We escaped just like that.
I looked behind us and at the same second I saw the bus. Fire spread wildly and the entire thing was burning. Black thick smoke rose in the air and parts of the bus fell off already. A few seconds later the fire had done enough damage to make it explode.
I should cry, I should scream and beg for mercy. I should feel guilty. But I didn’t.
Jerome got inside now and he shut the door. It made me look away from the crime scene. ‘’Is it just me or does it smell like roasted beef in here?’’ Jerome cracked a joke. He probably thought that I’d be crying by now.
‘’A little’’ I replied quietly. The corners of my mouth curved into a smile. I was free. The people who hated me were gone forever.
‘’Hmm looks like you aren’t as sane as I thought you were’’ Jerome snickered while playing with his gun. Maybe I was a little insane, because it had been a long time since I was so happy the last time. Damn I was in a truck with criminals that broke out of Arkham and I felt free.
‘’I hope there’s a shower wherever we’re going because I smell like gasoline’’ I told Jerome and looked into his pretty eyes. He wasn’t so scary now. Yes I was scared in the bus because I thought I was going to die. But now I wasn’t. He seemed pretty cool.
‘’Oh trust me the shower is the fanciest you’ve ever seen. The place is like a palace’’ Jerome assured me which made me smile. ‘’Now would you want to tell me your name?’’ He asked me which reminded me of the reality of things. We didn’t even know each other. Let’s get started then.
And just like that the story of chaos began..
