  • Mike Posner: Hey Brandon Flowers ... I just wanted to say I'll buy and listen to anything you do.
  • Nick Petricca - Walk the Moon: I had this strong sensation of like being at church and Brandon Flowers is like our direct connection to the lord. (...) We got to meet Brandon Flowers when we played a gig in Vegas. I got to talk to him and tell him that his band was the band that made me want to be in a band.
  • Tom Smith - Editors: Such a soft spot for everything Brandon Flowers does.
  • Van McCann - Catfish and the Bottlemen: Brandon Flowers sent me an email a while ago because we covered one of their songs in Australia and he said he liked the cover and I was just major buzzing off that. He’s inspired most of the songs in my head.
  • Dallon Weekes - Panic! At the Disco: Idol? dont know. I def have people I admire. Brandon Flowers. Hes a musician/Mormon/family man and pulls it all off. I try to.

I would like to thank @leaalda for making these amazing banners.

This is an effort to spread the word about all fan fiction writers in our little fandom. If you would like to be featured or nominate a writer, please contact me. Please reblog this post if you can and check out some of @cooperjones2020 work!

1. First things first, if someone wanted to read your stories where can they find them.

I post all of them on AO3 as well as on tumblr @cooperjones2020 under the tag #mine and on my master list. (also fyi it’s a sideblog, so if you ever get a reply from @acitrusmoon, that’s also me!)

2. Tell us a little about yourself.

I’ve tipped the scale into second half of my 20’s. I’m currently doing my master’s in English lit, focusing on early modern drama and cultural studies. Canada is the third country I’ve lived in. I’ve been in four separate countries within a 24-hour timespan on two separate occasions. I prefer children’s toothbrushes to adult ones. I made my parents let me drop out of preschool when I was four because they wouldn’t give me orange juice.

3. What do you never leave home without?

Nothing. I leave with the absolute bare minimum I can get away with. So 99% of the time I have my phone, but even that’s not a sure thing. If I can stick a card or some cash in my bra so I don’t have to carry a purse or wallet, I’m doing it. If I do have a bag, I definitely have my giant reusable water bottle and a book with me.

4. Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Early bird. I’ve hit the level of adulthood where I wake up at like 6:30 sans alarm. And I have no excuse. I don’t have to be at work til 10.

5. If you could live in any fictional world which one would you choose and why?

I’ve been thinking about this question and I can’t come up with anything other than HP. I basically learned to read off those books and grew up alongside them. That fictional world is so embedded with my real one, it would be a disservice to pick something else.

6. Who is the most famous person you’ve ever met.

In general, I have no interest in meeting famous people, so I think the most famous person I’ve ever actually met was Roger Ebert at an ice cream shop in Michigan when I was 8. But I’ve been adjacent to famous people. I saw Josh Radnor in my college bookstore, I’ve emailed with John Green, and Chicago Fire used to film in my old apartment in Chicago before it became my apartment. They would still shut our street down to do external shots, and NBC paid my landlord not to gut the apartment when he rehabbed it, in case they needed to use it again.

Does Walk the Moon count as famous now? I’ve met Nick Petricca at parties (figure out what Josh Radnor, John Green, and Nick Petricca have in common, and you’ll learn something else about me).

7. What are some of your favorite movies/TV?

I’m the worst with “favorite” type questions because I change my mind all the time when my attention wanders. So TV shows I’ve loved a long time and will continue to rewatch ad infinitum: Gilmore Girls, Charmed, Boy Meets World. I don’t really re-watch movies, which is my general bar for loving something. I recently saw The Third Man and it blew my mind, so much so that it made it into chapter 5 of “Nobodies Nobody Knows.”

(but also I haven’t had consistent access to a television since 2006 because I went to boarding school for nerds, so I’m out of touch with a lot what’s been on unless I’ve been able to find it on the internet and binge watch it)

8. What are some of your favorite bands/musicians?

Again, I don’t know if I have anyone I would say is a favorite above all the music I like. I cycle through songs I get obsessed with for a week or two. The Spotify playlist I’m currently listening to on repeat includes Halsey, Imagine Dragons, Walk the Moon, Regina Spektor, Lorde, Cigarettes After Sex, Ed Sheeran, Adele, X Embassadors, and Sia. But it’s also my Bughead writing playlist. I’d really like to see Maren Morris in concert.

Operation: Alola [Gladion x Moon]

Chapter 1 ↠ Chapter 2

Chapter 1: First Impressions

Notes: You all saw my weird af dream about a Spy AU. I decided to roll with it. :)

Anabel stares long and hard at the projection; pictures of their newly recruited International Police officers covered the wall. The hum of the projector, and the scribbling of her pen on a notepad were the only sources of sound in the room. Looker, with crossed arms and furrowed eyebrows, stands in the back. He watches Anabel drag a hand across her face in frustration.

“What seems to be the matter?” He asks, a smirk present on his lips. Anabel throws a tired gaze to the back of the room.  “Your boss is stumped and we’re running out of time” she mutters, turning her face back to the projection. She gives a vague hand gesture to the wall that causes Looker to shift his gaze from her to the pictures.

“You’ve trained all these recruits. Tell me who should we send on the mission to Alola?”

Looker lifts himself away from the wall and walks towards the front of the room. His footsteps and the rustle of his trenchcoat add a dimension of noise to the otherwise silent room. He approaches the computer and taps a key that quickly scrolled through all the candidates. He stops on the picture of a short black haired girl.

She narrows her eyes at the picture. “I may not work directly with the agents, but I hear rumors , Looker. And all rumors have a sense of truth to them.”

Looker only chuckles. “Trust me on this”

Anabel let’s out a small sigh. ”We cannot and should not send someone who can’t hold their own in a battle.” Looker taps another key that opens up her stats.

Moon.

Title: A Love Story Like Never Before

Pairing: NaruHIna

Prompt: Day 6– Moon

Long, long ago the Gods and Goddesses were curious of the new planet they created, Earth. When humans began to walk the Earth, they believed that something was missing. Something that would light up their path since the planet was shrouded in red dust. So they created a massive ball of light and when they sent it to the planet, the humans were more than overjoyed. But the ball of light eventually gave out since it stayed up in the sky for far too long. Puzzled, the Gods and Goddesses began to discuss among themselves until a wicked and troublesome God stepped up and proposed an idea.

Let us make a Sun and a Moon,” he said, “but it will each contain a soul of a human to keep it going. The Sun will rise during the day to keep all living organisms warm and alive and awake and during the night, the Moon will take its place too cool off the Earth and help the living organisms to sleep.

But what do you mean by it containing a soul of a human?” asked a Goddess, knowing well who this God was.

Here, the God gave a smile that hid a dark intention. “We won’t stay around for so long, my fellow Gods and Goddesses. We will need something that comes as close to us and who better than the humans that we have created ourselves. Of course, they will have to sacrifice themselves.

The Nick Petricca Project

Hey everyone! As some of you might know, Walk The Moon had to cancel their tour scheduled for later this year because Nick has decided to spend sometime with his father who has early onset Alzheimer’s. Obviously, this is a hard time for Nick so I thought we could all give him some words of love and encouragement.

I’m fortunate enough that my concert at the end of May hasn’t been cancelled, so I thought of giving him a collection of artwork/letters/words of support from all of you! You can message me or email me your letter at dammitmerlin@yahoo.com. If you want to mail me a letter, message me and I’ll give you my address! I’d appreciate it if you could send me your things before May 20th, but my concert is on May 27th, so the send them to me by May 26th at the latest.

I really hope this works out and we get a decent amount of people participating. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me an ask or send me a message!

Hi, I’m Erin and I’m 17 from the UK. I love music (a few of my favourites are the Vaccines, Arctic Monkeys, the 1975, the Killers, Half Moon Run, alt-J, Years & Years, Catfish and the Bottlemen etc. I could go on for ages) and I’m also into photography, art and film.

I love the sea, walking, buying jumpers from charity shops, baking cakes, camping, seeing live music, working on my sketchbook, reading, sitting on my roof at night and wasting a lot of time on tumblr. I also love travelling but I haven’t done that much yet.

I’m looking for someone who would like to email and write letters, send each other things from our country and become great friends! I don’t mind where you’re from.

email me at erinsm09@gmail.com or message me on tumblr :)

MEET & GREET! Submit your meet & greet stories and photos to bryanstarsfanpictures@gmail.com. You are emailed back when they will be posted to the website.

I met lachlan and chris from The Griswolds after their concert in madison,wi with Walk the moon. They were so sweet and funny. It was lachlans birthday that day. When the photo was taken my friend who was taking the photo with my phone, dropped hers on the ground and they were all shocked. And the day before chris favorited 2 of my tweets. And when i asked him if he remembered me he said yes, from twitter. And i freaked out! But it was one of the best moments of my life and i love them so much💜 -im on the right next to chris-

Atlanta, Georgia

On April 29, 2015, I asked my girlfriend and best friend of 7 years to marry me during a Walk The Moon show.

My girlfriend, Miranda, and I fell in love with the band Walk The Moon after seeing them live last year as an opening act for Panic! at the Disco. The band’s latest album, Talking Is Hard instantly became one of our favorites, especially the closing song “Aquaman.”

I’ve known for a while now that Miranda was the girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I really wanted to make the proposal of the most important question I’d ever ask her special. So, I tried my hardest to enlist the help of our new favorite band.

Without her knowledge, I set up an anonymous Twitter account called @user042515 (Operation Aquaman). I used the power of social media and the hashtag #OperationAquaman to spread the message to the members of Walk The Moon and their fans. I wanted the band to help me propose to Miranda during the song “Aquaman.” It was the perfect idea. Our favorite song, with such meaningful lyrics… Such an honestly beautiful moment. The responses I got was incredible. I received so much help from fans from all over the place, and eventually received a reply from Eli, the band’s guitarist.

Eli directed me to email the band’s management and try to set something up with them. Unfortunately, after spamming the manager’s email address with the same questions repeatedly, a response was not given.

The day of the show finally came along. My nerves were eating me alive all the way up until I heard the familiar synths from the intro to the song. About midway through, I asked Miranda’s cousin that tagged along with us (and had NO idea what was about to happen) to hold my camera and video what was about to unfold.

And instantly, I became the happiest man in the room. She said yes!

While we weren’t able to get our favorite band totally involved like I had wanted, we still enjoyed an unforgettable night. I’m forever grateful to Walk The Moon for providing the gorgeous soundtrack to our special moment.

UPDATE: The band’s management emailed me back, congratulating us on our engagement and even offered us an early engagement gift.
