Doctor Strange Non-Spoiler Review
Doctor Strange is a great new addition toe the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is unique from other MCU films but still offers the great action sequences and humour that you would expect. The visual effects and CGI are incredible in this film and really help to immerse the audience into the film. I would highly recommend watching this film in 3D for the full cinematic experience.
The cast of this film were incredible with actors/actresses such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, it just shows how far the MCU has evolved and impressed people since the first Iron Man film was released in 2008. The acting was great and each character has an interesting arc in this film… I only wish that Benedict Wong had had more screen time and he played a great character.
The after credits were also great and interesting with teasing future MCU film connections and hinting at the next Doctor Strange film. The score was really well composed by Michael Giacchino and really suited the film.
Personally, I thought this film started a bit slowly but that is to be expected with an origin story. I also thought that the final fight was a bit rushed and the general motives of the villain were a bit typical and predictable.
However despite those negatives, Doctor Strange was still a great film due to its unique style, the cast, and the visual effects. Scott Derrickson did a great job directing this film, introducing the multiverse to the MCU, and I can’t wait to see Doctor Strange in future films.
I don’t want to be annoying, but please don’t use phones or talk whilst the film is playing as it ruins the experience for others :)
If you’ve seen the film already, I’d love to hear what you thought and if you liked it.
