i wanted to see what she looked like so i aged her up but didn't save

what's a fire and how does it - what's the word? - burn

so i have this disney playlist i listen to usually when i’m driving and i was blasting poor unfortunate souls this morning and i was thinking

what if ariel didn’t sign the scroll?

because she’s about to, okay, and she looks at the paper. the parchment made of seaweed, the ones that’s specially treated to survive underwater. and she thinks of her cave of treasures, her books that remain perfectly preserved underwater. “no thank you,” she says slowly, becoming keenly aware of air of this place, of the not-people she’d seen who hadn’t been able to pay the price for sea witch’s bargain. “i – no. thank you. but no.”

ursula tries to convince her otherwise, but ariel runs. she goes back to her cave, destroyed as it was by her father’s anger, and thinks.

she’s the daughter of triton. her books never got wet, though she lives in the ocean. she feels a pull inside her, to the land, to somewhere else, but what if – what if –

what if she doesn’t need the sea witch or her father to perform magic for her? what if she has her own?

ursula had wanted her voice because that’s how she performed her magic. singing in this cave had given it powers and protection, and when she saved her prince from the sea – she sang then too, to keep him safe, to guide him back to life and away from death.

so she has magic. she only needs to figure out how to use it.

so that’s what ariel does now. she’s quiet and keeps to herself, and her father and sisters think that it’s because she’s upset with her father, that she’s busy licking her wounds. she’s moved on from that. she has no trident, and is uninterested with fueling her magic with the souls of the damned like ursula has. so she needs to figure something else out.

she does what she’s not supposed to do, and goes where she’s not supposed to go, slipping past the guards and patrols to the one place in the sea that is forbidden to all of them.

the crevice in the earth where what remains of her grandmother lives.

ariel goes to amphitrite, and the sea goddess is so much bigger than ariel, the size of great whale as she curls at the bottom of the sea floor, too old and too tired to do anything more than sleep. “granddaughter,” the great being croaks, opening an eye as blue and as unfathomable as the sea, “you look like me.”

“they say i look like my mother,” she says, and to herself adds: that’s why father can barely stand to look at me.

“you have more of me in you than your mother,” she says, and she shifts and pulls her mass of red hair over her shoulder. “more of me in you than your father does, even.”

“i have magic,” she says, pulling her bravery to the fore as she swims closer to her grandmother, “i want you to teach me how to use it.” amphitrite pushes herself up, and it’s the first time she’s moved in a millennia, and ariel notices for the first time that her grandmother isn’t a mermaid – she has legs.

she has legs.

“you have power,” amphitrite corrects fiercely, “and i will teach you to wield it.”

and so she does. ariel spends her nights by her grandmother, learning to harness the power of the sea that runs in her veins, and sleeps her days away while her sisters and flounder and sebastian grow more and more concerned, but she refuses to tell them why. she refuses to be stopped.

but her heart still aches. she fell in love with her prince, and she wants him still. so she swims to the edge, goes to the beach where his castle resides in the dead of night when her lessons with her grandmother are complete, and sings

. she’s careful not to let any magic leak through, only her voice. she does not want to enchant him. she wants him to love her as she is. so she sings, her voice clear and powerful and cutting through the air. she hopes he can hear it.

then one day a figure walks to the beach, and it’s him, her prince. “hello?” he calls out, “are you out there? are you – please, it was you that saved me, wasn’t it? won’t you come out and let me see you?”

so she does, waves her tail at him until he catches sight of her and takes hesitant, disbelieving steps closer.

“you’re a mermaid,” he says, eyes wide, “i thought i saw – but it couldn’t be.”

“i am, and it can,” she says, heart beating wildly in her chest. he’s just as handsome as she remembered, and she wants him just as much. “my name is ariel.”

“ariel,” he repeats, and pulls off his boots and goes wading into the water, watching her to see if she flinches away from him. she doesn’t, and his strides grow bolder. “my name is eric.”

“eric,” she whispers, and when he’s close enough he touches her, trailing fingers across the bare skin of her shoulder and tangling them in her hair.

when he kisses her, she feels powerful enough to undo the world.

so there’s that now, spending her nights with her grandmother and her prince, and she knows how to make her own legs now, could walk onto land and be made a queen among the two legged men.

but she’s a princess here first, and before she can do that she needs to take care of something.

the rotten sea witch with her rotten sea magic won’t be allowed to torment her people any longer.

she tells her grandmother, and amphitrite smiles and says, “an excellent decision, child. i’ve enjoyed our time together, but i think it’s time for me to sleep once more. i’ve taught you everything i can.”

and tears prick ariel’s eyes, but she holds them back. she knew that it couldn’t be forever, that her grandmother can’t die but no longer desires to live and this is the in-between.

“you’ll be an amazing queen,” amphitrite murmurs, and closes her eyes for a millennia more.

this isn’t something to be done in the dead of night, although it would be easier to do it then.

she will make a spectacle of it, she will remind the sea that her people are not to be trifled with.

once upon a time they feared a blue eyed, red haired sea queen with the power to destroy them all. it’s time for them to do so again.

so she drives ursula to the center of the city. her sisters cower and people hide, and her father comes rushing forward to save her.

“you’ve committed great crimes against my people,” she says, not flinching as lightning gathers in the sea witch’s hands, “so now shall a great crime be committed against you.”

“foolish girl,” the sea witch snarls.

triton is yelling. he won’t get there in time.

he doesn’t have to.

she doesn’t need to sing anymore. instead she lifts her hands and pulls ursula apart without ever touching her, not only renders flesh from bone but also sets free the souls she’s been hoarding, reverses the magic done to those who’d fallen into the sea witch’s trap.

they all stare at her, her people, her father, and her sisters. she looks to triton and says, “i’m not a little girl anymore.”

he opens his mouth, closes it again, then says, “i can see that.”

all at once everyone’s perceptions are turned sideways about their youngest princess. she commands a power that even her father doesn’t have access to, she’s not depressed and dreamy – she’s powerful young woman who knows exactly what she’s doing.

so she does what she wanted to do, she gives herself legs and steps onto the sand and launches herself into eric’s arms. she becomes his bride, and the rumors run rampant of what she is, of where she came from, but they can’t prove anything and so they rule.

they live long, happy lives. ariel is his consort, his advisor, his wife, his tactician, and his best friend. all those years reading drowned books have certainly paid off. she ages herself along with her husband, bears his children and then teaches them they ways of her – their – people.

her husband dies, and she disappears, like the stories of selkie women that everyone whispers around her. their children give their father a sea burial, and vow to see him again one day. what they know and none of their subjects do is this – their father’s body isn’t in that casket.

she returns to her ocean, her legs form into her glittering green tail, and she goes home. she uses her terribly powerful magic, and brings her husband with her. she went from princess ariel of the sea to queen ariel of the land, and now she’s back again.

she’s not quite a teenager, but neither is she the old woman she pretended to be on land. she’s returned her and her husband to the prime of their life, and as she gained legs to be with him, he now gives his up to be with her.

eric becomes a merman, and a prince by virtue of being ariel’s husband.

she returns to her family and her world without missing a beat, and they all welcome her as if she never left, treat her husband with kindness and respect.

because they all know.

it doesn’t matter that she’s the youngest. when, far in the future, triton’s reign ends –

ariel’s reign will begin.

anonymous asked:

Dr Who but each incarnation is swapped with one of their companions.

omg?? I love it??

The First Doctor:

She’s not completely unfriendly, exactly, she just doesn’t have time for humans being idiots. In the right circumstances, she can actually be very warm. She loves history, which is lucky because her granddaughter Susan does too (they tell people Susan is her daughter, but even then it’s a bit of a stretch, human ages are weird). Of course, then two of Susan’s teachers follow her home one night, and next thing the Doctor knows she has a crotchety old history teacher and a handsome young science teacher on her spaceship with no way to get rid of them that isn’t morally questionable.

The humans help her lose some of her haughtiness. She leaves Susan in the 22nd century to become her own woman.

Along the way and against her better judgement, she falls hopelessly for Ian Chesterton. He wants to stay with her forever, but she knows it would never work, and encourages him to go with John Foreman in the Dalek Time Machine to get back to his own time.

Later, in other lives, she checks in on him occasionally.

The Second Doctor:

The baby face is a problem. It takes a good twenty minutes on a lot of occasions to get anyone to take her seriously. On the bright side, a lot of Polly’s clothes fit her now.

She finds a best friend in Scotsman Jamie McCrimmon, whose rather naive approach to futuristic technology is extremely refreshing, as is his unique insightfulness.

After Ben and Polly leave them, they rescue Victoria, who Jamie is utterly taken with. Victoria is unsure about living a life so unsupervised by someone older and won’t listen to the Doctor’s insistence that she is in fact perfectly qualified to look after them all.

She and Victoria spend a good many nights aboard the TARDIS talking about women’s history and the things to come for women in the future and how women act on other planets. Victoria is fascinated, occasionally horrified, and often quietly thrilled at the things she learns.

It’s a shame to see her go, but all she ever wanted was a family and security, and the Doctor can’t provide that.

They meet an eccentric man on a space station, with funny trousers and an obsession with the recorder. The Doctor and Jamie like him instantly, and invite him on board only to learn that the man had been considering stowing away if not invited.

The Time Lords take her friends away from her. She is forced to regenerate and exiled to Earth, as punishment for her interference.

The Third Doctor:

Shrewd, passionately devoted to science, and not one to take kindly to interruptions or anyone trying to talk down to or even disagree with her, it’s a wonder the Doctor even gets hired by UNIT at all. But then again, beggars can’t be choosers.

On the bright side, this fellow John Smith from Cambridge seems to be the one person around with an actual brain and not just a penchant for attacking first and thinking later.

They’re friends instantly. Or, they are once she makes it perfectly clear that she is the cleverer of the two. The look on his face when he realises is a memory she’ll treasure forever.

He eventually leaves to go back to his own research, upon realising she doesn’t need him.

It’s a shame and she misses him, but then Jo Grant comes into her life. Despite an awful first impression, the two women are soon fiercely devoted to each other. Jo keeps going on about women having to stick together amongst all the army boys, and while the Doctor could usually not care less about gender politics, if it means Jo hangs around her more, then so be it.

The Master turns up. It’s exhausting and exasperating and oh so much fun

Meanwhile, the Doctor’s told herself to not let herself fall for humans, after how much Ian hurt. But with Jo, it’s impossible not to. (Not that she hasn’t noticed the Brigadier’s lingering stares, or failed to appreciate him in his uniform. But he’s far too professional to ever do anything, and too trigger happy besides.)

Jo is like sunshine and she’s always there and smiling and pressing herself against the Doctor out of fear or shock, until one day they’re in the supply closet of a spaceship and they’re kissing furiously instead of listening out for their pursuers.

It’s wonderful, being with Jo. Until Clive Jones comes along, and the Doctor has to tell her to forget about her and marry the nice young man who can grow old with her and give her the life she wants.

She drinks more champagne than she is proud of that night.

Luckily, along comes Sarah Jane Smith, who is exactly the kind of human that the Doctor automatically adores. Inquisitive, sharp, and a vocal feminist. What a woman.

Of course, then giant alien spiders happen, and it’s time for a change.

The Fourth Doctor:

Or… not. Apparently, she’s doomed to be young, attractive, humanoid, and pale skinned throughout all her lives. There are worse fates, but she wouldn’t mind a little variety, frankly. And being so small is getting infuriating.

Harry takes a long while to take her seriously, but once he does, he is steadfastly loyal. Sarah Jane takes the regeneration in stride for the most part.

And after them, Leela, who is so strange and savage but so utterly charming in her honesty. They share a few kisses, but nothing more.

Then comes Romana. A young Time Lord who looks older than her, is far taller than is sensible, and has an even more absurd grin. She can’t stand him, with his bragging about his grades and thinking he knows everything.

She soon teaches him that experience wins every time.

Of course, then he spots some pretty princess on Tara, and next thing she knows, the moment the whole Key To Time mess is sorted, Romana is now a less taller, less ridiculous, utterly beautiful Time Lady in her first regeneration.

She tries to argue against what she can only consider body theft, or at least copying, but it is a relief to not have to crane her neck up to speak to her companion.

Romana becomes a most dear friend. She’s missed being around someone like her, someone who understands. It makes it all the worse when she leaves, leaving the Doctor with only Adric and his incessant questions.

The Fifth Doctor:

There’s something about this body, a regality, that commands a little more respect than the ones before it, despite it following the pattern of her others.

Adric’s questions exasperate her, while Tegan’s demands to be taken home are met with gentle requests for patience and promises of Heathrow airport, and this Traken prince she’s picked up is thankfully one of the most polite people she’s ever had in the TARDIS. Decent brain on him, too.

Tegan’s smile sometimes makes her stomach do backflips. The Doctor ignores it. She’s learned her lesson. It’s almost a relief to see Tegan reach her breaking point and leave, except it isn’t, because for a long while it feels like a part of her is missing.

Turlough is a curiosity, but a nice one who makes for surprisingly good company in the absence of the others.

Perpugilliam Brown is a surprise. The Doctor remembers why she has tried to avoid America where possible in her travels. Americans are loud. But in the case of Peri, it involves shouting at the Master, and as such, the Doctor decides that Perpugilliam Brown can stay as long as she likes.

Between the two of them and soon Erimem, uncrowned Pharaoh of Egypt, they make quite the team.

The Sixth Doctor:

It’s about time! Finally, a more weathered model. Peri is surprised to say the least, and seems a little disappointed to lose out on her best friend who had until now looked a very similar age to her, but soon realises very little has changed.

And now she lets the Doctor take care of her a bit better. Thank goodness for that! The maternal instincts in this body are absurdly strong, she has no idea what she would do if she couldn’t express them.

Now, the borderline narcissistic but quietly lovable history professor she accidentally picks up some time after losing Peri is a trickier matter. Still, at least he shares her love for chocolate cake.

The Seventh Doctor:

Bright, bubbly, and able to get most people to like her within ten seconds. Now this is a regeneration she likes. Plus, her most impressive set of lungs yet. Handy, for calling companions who like to wander off.

She tries to not encourage Ace’s use of explosives, but it’s difficult when she sees how genuinely happy they make the girl. She’s getting soft in her old age, she knows.

Still, at least her brain makes up for it. She can out-think a computer, easily. The universe is her chessboard and she’ll do whatever the hell she pleases with it.

The Eighth Doctor:

She’s a jolly thing. Always keen for adventure, ready to shout at anyone who deserves it, and just wants to have a good time, really.

After a rather rocky start involving amnesia and kissing the cardiologist who had caused her regeneration in the first place, the Doctor is just minding her own business when she accidentally messes with history.

It seems that saving this stowaway on the R101 might not have been the best idea after all. But he’s so charming and sweet and genuine, sharing her utter passion for life, that by the time she realises her mistake, she’s not willing to part with him.

That goes… about as well as one might expect.

The Ninth Doctor:

It’s funny, being a weathered old war veteran with a guilty conscience, and simultaneously looking like someone who could be on the front of a magazine.

Life is hard, after the time war, but she meets a man with big ears and blue eyes and things get better. A lot better. It feels good to smile again.

The addition of Captain Jack Harkness is an interesting one, but she’s always said the more the merrier. Their other companion is not quite as happy about this development, but before long they’re the best of friends.

The Tenth Doctor:

She’s gentler now, somehow. Oh, she has her anger and her snark, and boy does this body have a set of lungs on her. But she’s so much softer, underneath.

Losing her friends from her last body takes its toll. She at least manages to avoid comparing Martha to them that came before her. Martha is wonderful, always completing even the most impossible tasks that the Doctor puts to her. They part on good terms, after the Master’s ravaging of the Earth. (The Master had not been so impressed with this version of her. He had trouble seeing the strength within, seeing that she was more than the duality of compassion and shouting.) Martha needs to look after her family, and that’s probably for the best.

And then there’s the skinny idiot in the suit. He actually talks faster than she does, which is absurd, but she wonders if that’s simply because of his questionable family. Perhaps not letting them get a word in is how he survives.

Either way, they get along like a house on fire. Losing him, wiping his memory and seeing him stare right through her and smile that stupid smile, is almost enough to break her.

No more companions, she swears.

The Eleventh Doctor:

It’s all about fun, now. Impressing the little boy whose garden she crashes in and then impressing him when he’s grown up and has waited 14 years for her. (To hell with her rule about no more companions. Her old self was full of dumb ideas anyway.)

Oh yes, she likes Rory Williams a lot. And his best friend John isn’t bad either. Mind you, that nose…

She has her spaceship, and her boys, and life is good. Well, there’s River Song to worry about, but she can never be sure if the archaeologist is more interested in her or John. Just one more mystery, it seems.

Losing Rory, and then John, is hard. But she knows that they’re happy, and that’s enough.

The Twelfth Doctor:

Short, bossy, a control freak, and a slight obsession with tartan. Also, her English teacher companion is secretly a rock star wannabe, disguised as a reclusive Scottish nerd.

What’s a girl to do?

(Apparently, find out that her best enemy is alive, and now also female. And Scottish like her companion. The first kiss had been… shocking to say the least. The ones after, against her better judgement, decidedly less so.)

She cares about her companion more than she will ever say, and when faced with losing him, takes things too far. Further than anyone should ever take anything. And when it is all said and done… she can’t remember his face, or his voice, or how he sounded when he mocked how large her eyes were.

River is there to comfort her, though, in those 24 years on Darillium.

And then Bill. Brilliant Bill. Oh yes, they make quite the team. And Nardole helps sometimes too.

Send me an AU and I’ll expand on it!

||Part of this really happened, though I improvised a bit.||
  • Person who has only seen Durarara!! Anime and admits to being too lazy to read novels: Why would anybody like this guy? *posts gif where Izaya is saying*"People are my playthings."
  • Me: There are reasons I like Izaya: For one, he's intelligent, charming, cunning, has class, cares for and values his friendship with Shinra in his own way even though he has trouble with empathy(something I relate to), and despite everything, he's just a human even though he's able to bring down an entire organization like Amphisbaena. Not to mention I'm pretty sure he's jealous of practically everybody he comes into contact with. Shizuo, Mikado, Shinra, even Celty.
  • Me: He punches a telephone pole upon realizing he'd be betraying his only friend by normal human standards.
  • Me: And he was neglected by his parents emotionally. That's a very typical cause of personality disorders, just so you know. It's not entirely his fault that he is the way he is. Just saying. But I enjoyed watching him outsmart Amphisbaena. And I really like reading the novels for his philosophical views. Plus, he's kind of agnostic and fears death more than anything, something I can relate to.
  • Me: Haha his hand was literally swollen up because of slamming it into the telephone pole. But you know what happened when his sisters expressed concern for his hand?
  • This-
  • Mairu tilted her head and asked as she saw his right hand, “What happened, Iza-nii? Your right hand looks swollen.”
  • “...Health (Are you alright)?” Kururi looked at him with worried eyes.
  • Izaya stroked her head with his left hand and lied with a sigh, “Yeah, I got this when I was running away from Shizu-chan.”
  • “So you deserved it after all—”
  • “Keep yourselves away from muscle idiots like that one. Or you could die, you know.”
  • The siblings continued their conversation as they disappeared into the city night. The city, which took in everything it was offered, absorbed their talk into its nightly cacophony as it did any chit-chat within any normal family.
  • -
  • That was from the ninth Durarara!! Light novel.
  • But what was even sadder was the scene before that -
  • The twins flanked Izaya as he began walking, a bitter smile on his face. Mairu, who was on Izaya’s right, raised her face to look at him and said in a natural tone, “Say, Iza-nii. We know that you probably don’t treat us any differently as you treat other people, but keep in mind that we still think of you as family, OK?”
  • “All of a sudden you’re saying things that would actually make me happy. What happened?” Izaya felt that the line didn’t sound like Mairu, who usually told him to “Die!” and highkicked him when she saw him. He glanced at his sisters’ faces—and saw that they were smiling innocently back at him as they continued.
  • “So, if you get killed by Shizuo-san, Iza-nii, we’ll make sure to cry a little bit for you before we laugh about it.”
  • “Small (Just a little)...”
  • “...I was a fool to expect any family love from you.”
  • Izaya chuckled and walked faster.
  • - Also from LN 9, I have no clue why it wasn't in the novels. It really should have been. Especially the scene where he actually punched the telephone pole. But another reason I like Izaya is because not only is Izaya changing, but Narita himself said, "I have a feeling there was a scene where he cried, but he didn't let the readers see."
  • Somebody else: There are many reasons that make me like Izaya Orihara, like his fascinating personality, but that doesn't mean I think of him as a good man ¯\_(ツ)_/ ¯ I love it anyway
  • Person who has only seen the Durarara!! anime:
  • *throws in lame ass argument about what 'bad' things Izaya has done, without arguing, even though the argument could go both ways, considering he did take down Amphisbaena, and took Jinnai Yodogiri's corporation, giving Kasane Kujiragi back her freedom.*
  • Me: He's neither good nor bad. Most people can't be classified as either. We're all selfish in our own ways, and have a dark nature down deep that makes us want to test people at points. But without proper nurturing that can become harmful by nature, and it can consume us.
  • Somebody else number 2: The funny thing is that most people fail to recognize that they are of equal good/bad scale to Izaya without realizing it. It's only because Izaya is presented as an antagonist going against the common societal view that he is seen as a villain. Anyone that stands out against what is accepted is seen as bad because that is what we are taught at a young age to believe.
  • So saying that you hate Izaya because he is evil or bad is playing into those accepted, ingrained, and common beliefs.
  • Person who has only seen Durarara!! anime:
  • I don't have to like Izaya. I don't agree with you, and I don't want to argue about this. Izaya is pretty terrible. He started a whole war for fun, and told a girl to commit suicide. Any Shinra was just assuming when he said that Izaya has a fragile heart. Shinra is just some underground doctor(me: that doesn't know what he's talking about)?
  • Me: You don't have to like him, but you can't just deny canon. First off, he didn't want to start the war entirely for fun. He's an atheist/agnostic, and is terrified of death more than anything. The novels outright called Shinra, "his friend, the first person to see through Izaya to his true nature.". And Shinra described Izaya's 'true nature' as being more human and his heart more fragile than anybody else. Nextly, Shinra isn't 'just' some ignorant doctor. He has the potential to be the most manipulative character on the show if he really wanted to, and he's not ignorant. He's actually fairly insightful and observant, even when others aren't even though he ignores them because he only cares about Celty. Even Tom seemed weary of Shinra, implied by the novels.
  • Somebody else 4: Whether you like Izaya or not doesn't matter, because it's not just interpretation, it's canon, so in other words, you're just ignoring facts to justify your hatred for him.
  • Person who has only seen Durarara!! anime:
  • I mean he could made different choices and it could have turned out better.
  • Person who has only seen Durarara!! anime: I think Izaya's the worst one because he started the war.
  • Me: The same could be said for pretty much every single one of the characters, who all have done some pretty bad things, and crossed over things Izaya never would. *points out Shizuo's non justification for his hair trigger and how if it weren't for Simon, Shizuo could have killed somebody. Points out Ran's joking about raping both Saki and Mikage, as well as his abuse towards his brother, not to mention what he did and threatened to Saki(though he is jealous of the love Aoba receives from his parents, and the natural leader role Kyouhei has), points out Anri's hypocrisy in siding with Saika just because she saved her, points out Masaomi's cowardice(even though he has his really good moments), points out how Izaya saved Saki and multiple other girls from abusive situations, and especially Kuon's sister's experience with Izaya and how they can't properly seem to live without Izaya, points out the fact that, in reality, Mikado stabbed Aoba because he wanted to fulfill his ego, as well as the fact that he shot off a gun and caused a spark in the Awakusu-kai, points out some of the things Namie and Seiji did, not to mention Shinra's manipulative nature. Above all, points out all the trouble Nasujima caused and the terrible things he did(to Haruna and her family especially), as well as Jinnai Yadogiri sending Vorona(serial killer for fun at first, likely because of neglect) and Sloan to kidnap a child and do who knows what with her, considering all that Jinnai did to Ruri(also serial killer, but less for fun and more for revenge to get back at those who killed her parents)(not to mention Jinnai doing experimentation on her), though killing still starts to consume her because she feels freedom by doing so), Adabashi beating Shinra to a bloody pulp(though not apparently as bad as Shizuo has supposedly done to Shinra in the past, according to Shinra himself)(after which Izaya had Izumii break Adabashi's leg broke and kept him in his apartment for three days until he managed to escape.)* I'm not going to even go into Shizuo beating up a guy for simply questioning the purpose of life and telling him to go die, or the things Vorona, Shinra, Walker, Erika, Aoba, Rokujo, even Celty,(probably)Simon, and many others have done. Because every character has flaws and weaknesses that make them human. Minus Takashi and Jinnai Yadogiri, everybody has a least one person they have an attachment to of some sort and can feel a little closer to than others, even if they won't admit it, mostly everybody has unhealthy obsessions, Izaya nonetheless. But most everybody is changing, Izaya has even took the huge step of NOT calling Shizuo a monster, and instead admitting that Shizuo is just a man that distanced himself from humans. If that alone is not an improvement for him, I don't know what is.
  • Person who has only seen the Durarara!! anime: *obviously didn't read much of anything* Eh, Izaya's not good, and I just can't find it in myself to like him. If he were a real person, I might sympathize with him a little bit, because he could find help, but he's just a character, and there's no real justification for why he is the way he is.
  • Other person who has only seen the Durarara!! anime:
  • The anime is made for you to interpret Izaya however you want.
  • Somebody else number 4: This is why people need to read the novels. There is more to Izaya than what is portrayed in the anime.
  • Me: Plus, both the anime and manga is there to promote the original sources, so, naturally, they are going to leave out stuff, because they want you to read novels.
  • Somebody else number 5: Izaya isn't evil. He's not a sociopath. He's not a psychopath. He's not a troll. He is indeed only human and only wants a little more in his life than sitting on a bed and binge watch anime. There's so many reasons to like him <3
  • Me: While sociopath can be a generic term used for people with delayed or limited empathy(due to trauma)(unlike psychopaths, who are just born that way), as far as I know, sociopathy can still be detected in brain scans, because their brain still works and is wired very similarly to a psychopath. Either way, I honestly don't believe Izaya is either. I believe that he's just a human with a normal brain like both of his brain scans suggested.
  • Somebody else number 6: I honestly love hate him, but mostly I hate him, but I gotta admit he's a hot bastard.
  • Me: You're kind of missing the point, but whatever. He, just like anybody, has a side to him one can hate, but he also has a side to him that makes him a very complex character. The way he views things are so fascinating and he really opened my eyes to certain things. I can relate to his philosophy, I can empathize with his feelings about humans, and especially his hatred/jealous of Shizuo(having grown up with a brother that acts much like him, just to a less extreme, not mention I've experienced some domestic abuse, so I don't just like him for his looks alone(even if he is pretty good looking. Like I said, he's charming, cunning, shrewd but with class, is kind of funny at times, has views on society that I personally understand, is jealous of a lot of people for various reasons which I can also relate to. Despite being a mere human, he uses his wits to get out of dangerous situations, and to take down corporations like Amphisbaena and Jinnai Yadogiri. He has a an amazing ability to turn the tables when one least expects it, and wonderful flexibility as well. Unlike Shizuo, who has super strength, or Mikado who has close confidants he can truly rely on, or Celty, who can use her shadows and many others, Izaya is just a human(though he's jealous of every one of them, not forgetting Shinra, and doesn't actually want to be acknowledged as himself.)
  • He's an incredibly written character in the novels, but ultimately one I can relate to in certain aspects, including the feeling of loneliness, and feeling fear at the one he called his '(only)best friend' being mad at him. It honestly frustrates me when people bash him, or ignore the things that make him who he really is.
  • Izaya isn't a sadist, he just wants answers. And he's an emotional masochist at it's finest, possibly a chaotic neutral, and both an Anti-Villain and Anti-hero(though maybe a little more on the Anti-villain side at times). Also, lastly Izaya didn't "convince girls to commit suicide". In reality, he saved them in the novels(even if it wasn't really his intentions.) Ryo didn't happen. Izaya didn't cause the blood splatter. Because Manami and the other girl were the last two he messed with, and it clearly said that nobody he met up had actually went through with it in the end.

So the CS wedding is finally happening .. I binged watched OUAT before S6 so I didn't get to spend much time in the fandom so I thought it'll be fun to relive CS moments with CSers who were there from the start! When/how/why did you know that CS was the ship for you? What are your top three romantic CS scenes? What are you top three angsty CS scenes? What are your top 3 CS kisses? What is your most memorable CS related fandom moment? What is one thing you would still like to see happen with CS?

Aww this is so cool! I wasn’t in fandom from the start, but I did watch from the beginning, and honestly - the moment they climbed that beanstalk together and Hook was like “I was hoping it’d be you” while Emma glared at him like “I’m watching you and it’s not because you’re handsome, you idiot”. I didn’t get invested in the sense of “I want this to be canon” because I figured there was a good chance they wouldn’t go there in canon, but yeah, it ticked all the boxes for me from the beginning.

Top 3 romantic moments:

  • The ice wall. Killian’s desperation to get through to Emma, and then afterwards that soft moment in the loft where he looked after her and she let him.
  • When Killian talked to Emma about her parents and encouraged her to make things right with them. It might not be grand romance, but I love that quiet sort of support and the way they both genuinely want what’s best for the other, and Killian knows how important family is to Emma and wanted to help her keeps hers.
  • That scene. You know the one. We all know the one. “You traded your ship for me?” “Aye.” And she finally let herself believe in him and they kissed and it was magical and we all cried.

Top 3 angsty moments:

  • When his lips were cursed and she held his hook and afterwards he wanted to reach for her but he couldn’t and she finally flirted with him and he couldn’t and there were many tears, most of them mine.
  • When Rumple took Killian’s heart and he couldn’t save her, couldn’t tell her what was wrong, couldn’t do anything except wait and pray.
  • Every secret furtive look in Neverland when he didn’t think anyone would ever really trust and accept him and she didn’t think anyone would ever really love her and mean it, and they were both battling their own demons as the lost boy and lost girl that they were, and at the same time neither of them could quite help hoping because hope, like darkness, is a funny thing; it creeps up on you.

Top 3 CS kisses:

Okay I’m switching to gifs on this one.

[x] It’s just so sweet and casual and this is clearly something they do all the time now, because they’ve gone from “why don’t you try enchanting the lips of someone I’ll actually kiss” to this, this situation where they meet in the mornings just so they can spend a few minutes together on their way to work. And yes. I love it.

He goes from “damn it Swan I said be gentle” to “holy crap I can feel again” and you can watch the change come over him, like the full blast of his feelings for her just hits him all at once and he can’t help it, he has to kiss her and back her up against the wall and kiss her some more and then it turns all soft and smile-y and just. Yes.

[x] Do I really need to explain why I love this kiss? I love this kiss. I love this whole moment. They’re finally together. He’s finally proven himself a man of honour and she’s finally letting herself believe it and they’re both a little incredulous that the other believes in them and wants to give them a chance, and a little scared, and a lot happy, and it’s the perfect moment and the perfect kiss for that moment and I love it.

Most memorable CS fandom moment

I’m gonna say the lead-up to their date. Like. They were going on an actual date because they were in an actual relationship and Emma was not running and Killian was not hesitating and there were headcanons and spec fics and it was glorious. Actually, all of the speculation and headcanons and things during season 4, especially 4a, were glorious.

One thing I’d still like to see happen:

I want to see them fight together as a married couple that bickers and snarks at each other while kicking ass in perfect unison. Give me Emma blasting someone with magic and Killian catching and dispatching them with his sword. Give me all the flirty banter - “Getting a little slow in your old age, pirate?” “You weren’t complaining last night, love.” Give me blind trust in action, that perfect kind of teamwork that you get when two people just know each other. I know it won’t happen in canon but ohhh I want it.

Pics Or It Didn’t Happen

A/N: An anon request for one where the team is playing Cards Against Humanity. Spencer and the reader are the worst/best and keep making each other laugh. The team never expected this out of either of them. @coveofmemories @sexualemobitch @jamiemelyn

Warnings: Cards Against Humanity can end up being a very dirty game. So sex talk? I guess?

“Okay, so this game is completely and totally subjective?” Rossi asked confused after Morgan explained the rules for the second time.

It was a wonder you’d all managed to get Rossi and to come. Hotch was home with Jack because Jack was having a sleepover and Hotch was having a sleepover of his own with Beth, so no one thought you’d be able to convince Rossi to come play this fucked up game. “Yes, Rossi,” you laughed, taking a sip of wine as you passed out the cards. “Each one of us gets ten white cards. There’s one black card that everyone has to ‘complete’ with one of our white cards. Then the ‘Card Czar’ which changes with each round, picks whatever answer they think is the funniest. The goal is to get each other to laugh. We all clear?”

Rossi shrugged. Garcia excitedly shuffled through her cards. Morgan had the same smirk he always did when he assumed he was going to win. JJ and Emily both had game faces on and you and Spencer were quietly sipping at the wine and beed you’d chosen for the night.

Finally, the cards were dealt and the game could begin. “Okay, Rossi, you can be the ‘Card Czar’ first, so you’re not going to put down an answer, you’ll just judge ours.”

“That I can do,” he said snarkily, as he took a swig of the wonderfully-aged bourbon he’d brought from home. “The first card is What’s that sound?”

Everyone glanced between each other and the cards and everyone put down their answers. It was going to be funny to have Rossi read some of these out loud. “Okay, here we go. What’s that sound? I’m gonna guess who’s who. Crushing the patriarchy. That has to be Emily. The new Radiohead album. I feel like that’s JJ. A cop who is also a dog. That has to be Garcia. Even more money. I bet that’s Y/N. Morgan’s has to be the one that I refuse to speak out loud, which leaves Spencer’s, the one I’m gonna pick beep beep boop beep boop.”

Spencer started to snicker under his breath. As his best friend in the entire world, you would’ve easily picked that one out as his. He was probably thinking of Doctor Who. “Emily’s was my next pick with crushing the patriarchy.” She couldn’t help but pump her fists in the air and take a bow.

As the night wore on, you traded the ‘Card Czar’ position. Everyone knew who to save the dirty answers for - it was whenever Emily and Morgan were the Card Czars. Something none of them expected however, was that you and Spencer would also pull the dirty cards out. When Emily had the card, Feeling so Grateful #amazing #mylife #blank, you’d put down #having sex with a man and then eating his head, and Spencer, of all fucking people, put down #setting my balls on fire and cartwheeling to Ohio. “Oh my god,” Emily screeched. “I thought that was Morgan. Reid?”

“This is fun,” he said, finishing the rest of his beer. “I get to surprise you all.” You also tended to bring out the dirty answers when Spencer was choosing because it was always fun to make him read the dirty cards aloud. “My turn.” The card wasn’t all that great and most people’s answer sucked and weren’t funny, but the last card was “Three dicks at the same time, nice,” Spencer said. “That has to be Y/N and it’s by far the funniest.”

“What is with you two?” JJ cried, throwing her hands up in the air so fast she nearly lost her booze. Garcia was just sitting there slack jawed, unable to figure out how the two seemingly innocent ones were pulling the dirtiest cards, and Morgan kept slapping Spencer on the back with each dirty card he pulled. Rossi on the other hand was stilling downing bourbon and looking at you all like he was an exhausted father trying to keep his kids in line.

“Just because you think we’re innocent, doesn’t mean we actually are,” Spencer laughed, giggling so hard he fell backwards onto the floor. Reaching between you, you clinked your wine glass against Spencer’s beer bottle.

You couldn’t help but smirk at everyone’s surprised faces. “This is fun,” you snickered. “Let’s keep going. I’m the Czar now bitches.” This is how every game of Cards Against Humanity went, every single time, no matter who was playing it. The game started off with everyone trying to make sense, and by the end, it evolved into who could be the dirtiest. “The card this round is…Oh no, Siri, how do I fix…? And go!”

By the looks on everyone’s faces, you could tell this was gonna be a good round. “Everyone’s got dirty cards, I can tell. I’m just gonna read off the six cards.” You paused, noticing the theme for this round was apparently anal sex or butt stuff of some kind. “Crazy anal orgasms, a finger up the butt, anal beads, what the fuck, people, unsheathing my massive horse cock, a medium horchata, and the ukulele version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Oh my god, guys.” Rossi was flabbergasted. If he ever looked at you all the same way again it would be a miracle.

For a few moments, you just looked around, trying to gauge who picked what card. “I’m assuming Rossi picked a medium horchata.”

“Wrong,” he smiled, reaching out to pick the anal beads card.

Everyone fell back in peels of laughter. Rossi? Really? Who were any of you kidding? Rossi was no doubt into some shit back in the day. It took a good five minutes for everyone to stop laughing, and Rossi to pour himself another bourbon before you could pick the winner. “This is too hard. It’s stumping me. My guess is that Somewhere Over the Rainbow is Garcia.” She nodded her head, sweetly taking her card back. “My winner is unsheathing my massive horse cock.”

From the side, came Spencer’s hand, grabbing his card with the biggest grin on his face. “Oh my god, Spence.” You snorted so hard, wine came out of your nose. “Pics or it didn’t happen!”

“Y/N, I am so drunk right now. Don’t tempt me.”

This game was probably going to end soon because no one could keep a poker face anymore. Spencer couldn’t stop laughing, and seeing him so drunk and happy made you giggle. You couldn’t control yourselves. Somewhere in the background, you heard Emily say something about how you wanted to tap that - which you wouldn’t deny. Morgan kept yelling for Spencer to take you into a room and pull down his pants. Rossi, of course, sipped at his bourbon with all the exasperation of a single father who couldn’t keep his kids in line, and JJ and Garcia were just sitting back and thoroughly enjoying everyone’s drunkenness. “We need to get them drunk more often,” Garcia laughed.

Scott McCall Imagine- I Came To Help

Summery- You’re Lydia Martin’s cousin, you grew up in Beacon Hills but you moved with your parents to England, after you were bit by Peter Hale in your sophomore year. However as soon as you heard Stiles had been possessed by the Nogitsune you came back to help. You had romantic history with Scott McCall but you soon discovered he had moved on, but you weren’t ready to let him go yet.

“Y/N!” someone shouted from across the airport. You could barley see, you had two hours of sleep on the plane and some serious jetlag. You soon knew who it was when they wrapped their arms around you. “Lydia, you’ve changed so much” you laughed, struggling to breathe. You may be a werewolf, but no one gives long hugs like your cousin. “You’re one to talk, I barley recognised you. If it wasn’t for the hair and moody expression” she joked, finally letting go of you. “So, how do you feel about being back?” she asked, while helping you carry all your luggage. ”So far so good, but I would of rather come back on better terms, rather than this whole dark kitsune business” you shrugged. “I agree, but hey lets not think about that for at least the first few hours. We need to go show your new and improved self off to the pack” she said, giving you a small poke. “I thought you told me they knew I was coming back” you said, stopping still. “Erm… they do. In fact Allison is waiting in the car for you. She was going to come in but I told her I wanted to have some catch up time first” she said, dragging you along by your arm. When you eventually made it to the car, it took Allison no longer than three seconds to climb out and hug you. “Hunters. You’ve definitely been practicing since the last time I saw you” you smiled. “Well I haven’t seen you in all your wolf glory yet. I’ve missed you so much” she beamed, letting go and putting your suitcase on the backseat. “I missed you too, I’ve missed all of you” you said, shuffling onto the seat next to your things. They both got in the car and began driving. “So… Have I missed anything?” you asked curiously. “You haven’t told her?” Allison tried to whisper to Lydia. “You must of forgot I have werewolf hearing and I’m not blind. You haven’t told me what?” you questioned, leaning forward. There was a brief moment of them exchanging glares before Lydia began, “I haven’t told you that… there’s a new member in the pack. She’s a Thunder Kitsune and her name’s Kira”. “That’s cool” you said, leaning back into your seat, there was definitely something she wasn’t telling you.

“I cant” you said anxiously. You had been parked outside Scott’s house for about five minutes, luckily no one had noticed. “You can and you’re going to” Lydia said sternly. “You may be a banshee, but I doubt you have superhuman strength or the ability to run really fast, like run off out of here as soon as you unlock the car door” you said, staring at the front of his house through the windshield. “It’s going to be fine, I promise” Allison said softly. “If you don't strut your werewolf ass in there, you’re cooking dinner tonight” Lydia smirked, knowing that would be enough to convince you alone. “Fine” you whined, as the three of you got out the car and approached the door. You tuned your hearing to hear the words, “Lydia and Allison are back with the pizza” come from Stiles’ mouth. You knew she was lying to you, her unsteady heartbeat gave that away but you didn’t think it would be about such a major detail. You turned to the side, ready to make run for it but the door swung open before you could move. “Hey, where’s the… OMG” Stiles practically shouted in disbelief. You turned to face him and gave a believable smile, you were going to kill Lydia when you got to your aunts. “This is way better than pizza” he grinned, letting the other two walk in. He stopped to give you a hug before following you into the living room. Isaac was sitting on the sofa along with a girl you didn’t recognise. Isaac’s eyes widened and he stood up to hug you, “Long time no see” he laughed. “You’ve gotten tall, and you’ve gained a scarf” you joked. The girl stood up nervously and smiled at you, “You must be Kira, the badass Kitsune, right?” you asked, pulling her into a short hug to not leave her out. “That’s me” she said shyly. You could already tell you were going to get along. There was an awkward silence for a moment, “Why does it smell like-” Scott began saying as he walked in, before Lydia, Allison and Stiles moved out of the way so he could see you, “Y/N?” he asked. You nod your head, not able to speak or look away from him. “What are you doing here, in Beacon Hills?” he asked, equally staring back at you. “I erm.. I came to help” you said, barley making a sound. He walked closer over to you, neither of you knowing whether to kiss on the cheek, hug, shake hands or high five. Luckily you avoided the situation of you doing two different things, as you both went in for a hug. You both lingered longer than you should of, melting back into old habits and familiar scents. Stiles cleared his throat, signalling for Scott to let go. You pulled away from each other, both of you trying to conceal a small smile. “Shall we put a film on and do a bit of catching up?” Lydia suggested, clapping her hands together. You all nod and began to get settled. You were just telling Isaac how your flight went, when you saw Allison take Lydia into the kitchen. “One sec” you excused. You walked over to your bag that was in the hall and pretend to get something. You focused your hearing, only catching a bit of their conversation. “When are you going to tell her?” Allison whispered. “I’ll tell her but not right now. She seems happy” Lydia replied. “I think it’s important she knows Scott and Kira have a thing going on” Allison remarked. Considering it had been over a year, the feelings were still raw, it was like you found him cheating on you or something. Your heart was beating out of your chest and you felt a tight pain in your stomach. You wiped your eyes that had began to tear up and you exhaled, before gathering the courage to walk back into the living room. You looked over to see Kira sitting next to Scott, leaning on him. They were both laughing, but Scott stopped the second he saw you and his body tensed up. “I’m really tired and I just need some rest, I think I’m going to go back to Lydia’s. But we need to do this another time for sure” you said, it was obvious you were hurt. “Are you sure? We could all have a pack sleep over like we used to-” Stiles began. “No really, I just need a good nights sleep. Tell Lydia I’ve got the spare key and I’ll get my suitcase from Allison’s car tomorrow if she cant carry it.” you said, giving a weak smile. “Do you want a lift?” Stiles asked, noticing there was something wrong. “No, I’m fine honestly, see you” you said picking up your bag and heading out the door. “See you” they replied simultaneously. It didn't fully hit you until about half way down the road. Your walk turned into a run and your tears turned into loud sobs. You should of seen this coming, did you expect him to wait around for you forever? “ Where’s Y/N?” Lydia asked concerned, walking back into the living room. “She just took off, she’s heading back to yours” Isaac said. “Is she ok?” Allison questioned. “She didn’t seem it” Stiles said, shaking his head, trying to come to a conclusion. “Well cant werewolves smell emotions?” Lydia asked, her voice getting higher. “She smelled upset” Isaac said, not sure if he was right or not. “No, she smelt heartbroken” Scott said, staring down at his hands.

You heard the door unlock and footsteps coming up the stairs but you didn’t have the energy to move. You were laying on Lydia’s bed, your head buried into her pillow, you had the lights off and re-runs of ‘friends’ playing. “This must be serious” she said opening the door. She kicked her shoes off and flopped down beside you, “What happened? I’ve never seen you like this, ever” she sighed. “I don’t want to talk about it” you groaned, but it was muffled by the pillow anyway. “Come on, we haven’t had boy talk in ages” she said softly. “I just, I just couldn’t sit there and watch him with someone else” you said, sitting up. “You heard me and Allison talking, didn’t you” she said, dropping her head. “Yeah” you whispered, giving a sad smile. “If it makes you feel any better, Kira and Scott haven’t known each other long, about a month” she said, rubbing your arm. “It’s ok. He deserves to be happy, even if I’m not the reason anymore” you shrugged. “Believe me, I’ve had my fair share of boy drama. I can spot someone who isn’t ready to move on from a mile off” she claimed. “I guess I’m not. Maybe I’m just being selfish” you said downheartedly. “Sweetie, there’s no such thing as selfish when it comes to heartbreak” she stated. “I’ll get over it, you fall in love more than once” you were trying to convince yourself more than her. “Right” she said, letting out a small sigh. “It’s late, maybe we should just go to sleep” you said, rolling over. “Well being as you already have friends on, it wouldn’t hurt to watch a few more episodes” she hinted. You smiled and sat back up, “You’re the reason I was sleep deprived when we were young” you said, shaking your head. She turned up the volume and your few episodes turned into an all night marathon. You’d missed doing things like this with her.

A few weeks later.

“I came here to save my best friend” Allison said bravely. “Are you ready?” Scott asked you. You simply nod your head, before you all walked through the gates. You, Allison, Isaac and Kira stayed to fight the Oni off, while Scott went to find Lydia and Stiles. You weren't fighting them for long, before you all started to get tired. “How do we stop them?” you shouted, while ducking to avoid one of their swords. “You cant!” Kira’s mom shouted back to you. You felt one of them slice the back of your leg, while another slashed your arm. You shook your head, allowing your fangs and nails to grow out. You let out a ferocious growl and carried on fighting them both, until Isaac jumped in to help you. A third one came over and pushed him to the ground, while another sliced his chest. You were distracted by that for a split second, which was enough time for one of them to pick you up by your throat. You were struggling to breathe and you couldn’t move. Allison began to panic, she fumbled with her bow and pulled out another arrow. Meanwhile, Isaac was repetitively being cut and the Oni threw you to the floor. You were pulling yourself away when Kira distracted it, giving you enough time to heal, you had just enough energy to pick yourself back up. That’s when you saw a bright green light, coming from the Oni that was cutting Isaac. She managed to kill one, Allison did it. There was a moment of hope, before you saw one of them move towards her, “ALLISON MOVE!” you shouted. Before you knew it, she was pulling a sword from her stomach. You heard your cousin’s shrill scream, which echoed through your head. Isaac caught her as she fell to the ground. Everything felt like it was in slow motion, you must of been in shock because all of a sudden you couldn’t hear anything, not even your own loud crying. Kira’s mom pulled Kira back, allowing you all to have your space to soak everything in. Your mouth was wide open in disbelief and you felt your legs get weak, you were about to pass out before Scott pulled you into him. You put your hand on his chest and leant your head on his shoulder. You were crying on him until Allison’s dad came. You watched the heartbreak in his eyes, he may of been an Argent but nothing could prepare him for his daughter’s death. Yet still he stood there and told you all exactly what to say, when he was hurting even more so than you all. That was the say you lost your best friend. Knowing you would never be bridesmaids at each other’s weddings, knowing you wouldn’t hear her laugh, see her smile or even listen to her complaining about how much homework she had to do. That was the day you lost a piece of you, a piece you would never get back.

Hours Later

You pushed the door open, and fell into what appeared to be a garden. It was covered in a thick layer of snow, and snowflakes were still falling. You had no idea where you were, you didn’t even remember how you got there. You walked around, running your fingers on the tops of statues, not actually sure what you were doing. You saw a girl sitting up against something (It looked like a school cupboard). “Hey” you shouted over to them. You didn’t receive an answer, so you began to walk over slowly. That’s when you realised the girl had strawberry blonde hair, similar to yours. “Lydia?” you shouted, your concerned expression turned into a smile. You walked over to her quickly, but stopped when you still didn’t get a reply, you weren’t actually sure if she was moving. ”Lydia?” you asked again, slowly walking to face her. You screamed and covered your mouth when you saw it. Your cousin, her eyes wide open and her dress saturated in blood. You crouched down beside her and tried to feel for a pulse, to which you were unsuccessful. You leant your head on her and began to cry. “We’re going to kill you, all of you” someone said. “Who’s there?” you asked, slowly looking up. You saw a mummified creature creep its way across to stand infront of the door. “You’re the Nogitsune, you killed Allison, you killed my cousin!” you shouted. You stood up and let your fangs and nails grow. But before you could move the Oni appeared out of thin air and pulled out their swords.

“Where’s my cousin, where is she?” Lydia shouted. “She said something about going to the school” Stiles said, with his head in his hands. “I’ve just lost my best friend, I’m not loosing my cousin too” she said, her lip quivering. “We’re not loosing anyone else, we’ll save her!” Scott said firmly. “So what now?” Kira asked, “We go to the school, we save Y/N and we kill the Nogitsune” Scott exclaimed. “I’ll get Derek” Isaac said, as everyone rushed outside. “Are you sure she said the school?” Lydia asked as they approached the door. “Positive” Stiles replied, slowly opening it. They walked in, being met with the same coldness, making them fall short of breath. They walked through the garden together, until they come across a small trail of blood stained snow. “We’re going to kill them Stiles, we’re going to kill all of them” a voice from behind them claimed. They all turned around quickly. The Nogitsune was standing there, with you knelt on the floor next to him with two Oni holding you down. “Y/N!” Lydia shouted running forward, before Scott put his arm out to stop her. “Lydia, you’re not dead” you said, your tears turning into a nervous laugh of relief. “Let her go” Scott demanded, his eyes glowing red. With that, three more Oni appeared surrounding them. Stiles grabbed Lydia and dragged her to the side out of the way. After a few minutes of them fighting and you attempting to break free, Stiles stood up and picked up a sword, pointing it at himself. “Do it Scott, do what he cannot do for himself, or she dies” the trickster stated. “Don’t Scott” you shouted, before the Oni tightened their grip, making you tense from the pain. You closed your eyes, refusing to see another one of your friends die. “Divine move… It’s not real, none of this is real. You have to trust me, you may feel it but it’s not real, it’s another trick”  Stiles exclaimed. The pack stopped, and all began to slowly walked forward, the Oni forming a line slashing them with their swords as they walked past. You hesitantly stood up with all the strength you had left, enduring the pain from both Oni slicing into you. Scott grabbed your arm and helped steady you, pulling you into the line as you all walked back through the door. You all gave a sigh of relief and hugged each other, before the real void Stiles came marching over. He hit Kira and Scott, knocking them to the ground. Leaving you, Lydia and Stiles to shuffle your way backwards down the hall. “I’M A THOUSAND YEARS OLD, YOU CANT KILL ME!” It shouted, approaching you. “But we can change you” Lydia said uneasily. You smirked as you saw a pair of red eyes coming forward, along with Kira holding her sword. After the fall of Void Stiles, you felt a weight being lifted off your shoulders. Until you remembered all the damage and destruction it left behind. Including the death of Allison, and even one of the twins named Aiden. Lydia turned around and pulled you and Stiles into a tight hug after seeing him. It had been a long few weeks for you all.

“It’s your last day today, isn’t it?” Scott asked sadly. “It’s supposed to be” you replied. “What do you mean?” he questioned. “Well with everything we’ve been through I think It’s best if I stuck around for a while longer” you said slowly. “That’s great news” he said, pulling you into a hug. Even though you and Scott weren’t that close anymore, it was the happiest you’d seen him since you’d been there. He eventually pulled away from you, beaming you a smile. You smiled back, accidently glancing down from his eyes to his lips. He caught onto this and began to lean in, “What about Kira?” you asked quickly. “We’re just friends, we’ve told the pack a thousand times” he said softly. “Are you sure?” you asked again, not wanting to intrude on anything. “Positive” he smiled. leaning in again. He pressed his lips to yours, allowing you to wrap your arms around his neck. He hoisted you up, because of the whole height difference. Regression to the mean, it looked like things were going to get better after all.

anonymous asked:

I didn't understand very well if the requests are open just for Christmas themed hcs or not, so I'm sorry if this is wrong, but can you write a headcanon/scenario/imagine for RFA finding out MC cannot bear children? Thank you!

Can you tell by the way they worded this I took forever to answer it
I did a lot of research for this because I wanted actual conditions, not just vague reasons. So all these scenarios are real conditions! Which also means this took a while and there’s not a whole lot of incurable reasons omg
This is taking place after everyone’s good ending so spoilers, hence why it’s all under the cut
I’m realizing the lead up to a lot of them were too similar so that’s why Seven’s has a bit of an odd cut. Also, there probably is their actual cannon thoughts about kids, but I’m writing this from my own personal perspective. Hope you enjoy regardless!

Gundam 00 Friendly Reminders

@sapphireswimming and I decided to compose this heartwarming list, just in case you weren’t sad enough about 00 already.

Feel free to add more!

  1. Tieria lost everything that had ever mattered to him in the span of two weeks: Veda abandoned him when the GN-Xes appeared on the world stage; Lockon died less than a week later; less than a week after that, Celestial Being was destroyed, and a shattered skeleton of a crew was left to limp back to Krung Thep with next to no hope of their continued survival.
  2. When Setsuna ran into Saji on Proud, it was the first familiar face he’d seen in four years.
  3. Feldt’s parents were 28 when they died, and Feldt was two.
  4. Dr. Moreno and Ian were best friends for decades before the show.
  5. Saji lost both Louise and Kinue within a week.
  6. Tieria and the Trinities were the effective ages of young children, despite their conditioning in Veda and their physical appearances.
  7. Lichty died thinking he saved Chris’ life.
  8. Ian was the only one on board the Ptolemy who had any semblance of a family left.
  9. Allelujah thought he killed Marie when he destroyed the Super Human Institute.
  10. Setsuna said he doesn’t have anyone to write a letter to when Feldt asked, but he’d already left one for Marina.
  11. Sergei never got the chance to formally adopt Soma.
  12. After Fallen Angels, Graham didn’t talk to Billy unless he wanted something modified on his suit.
  13. Lockon was perfectly fine with dying, because he thought he took Ali down with him.
  14. Allelujah spent days alone on the shuttle before he was rescued, surrounded by the bodies of his friends and covered in their blood while Hallelujah laughed.
  15. Sumeragi abandoned Celestial Being after Fallen Angels because she held herself responsible for everyone dead and missing.
  16. Feldt changed her hairstyle after Fallen Angels to honor Chris.
  17. Andrei and Sergei never got a chance to talk through their issues, and Andrei never got a chance to apologize.
  18. Setsuna was drawn to Marina because she reminded him of his mother.
  19. Anew was her own person and honestly loved Lyle, and the two of them probably would have lived happily together had Ribbons not meddled.
  20. Neil was never able to move past the bombing that haunted his every action and every thought until the moment he died.
  21. Despite not seeing each other since they were teenagers, Neil and Lyle ended up with the same mannerisms, the same haircut, the same affinity for cigarettes and old cars—and they both joined up with organizations hell-bent on fixing the government so that no one else’s lives will be torn apart by terrorists.
  22. Allelujah’s mission in episode 5 was to destroy Soma’s suit and kill the pilot, and the only reason he didn’t was because he decided to save the orbital block instead.
  23. Tieria didn’t know he wasn’t human until Regene told him, and struggled with his existence throughout the entirety of season one—which explains his desperate reliance on Veda and the Plan, which was the only direction he got when he was activated.
  24. Louise was a high school student when she watched her entire extended family get blown apart in front of her, and was critically injured in the process—and then, she was barely twenty when she was turned into a tool of war by Ribbons in a plot beyond her control.
  25. Feldt Grace is a codename, and nobody knows what her real name is, anymore.
  26. Tieria’s early reliance on Veda is reminiscent of a young child’s dependence on their mother.
  27. Should Lockon have lived to see it, he would have been impossibly proud of the heroes the rest of the crew had become.
  28. Marie’s only link to the world outside her head was Allelujah, who disappeared one day with no explanation or warning—and never returned.
  29. Lichty, like Lockon, was caught up in a terrorist attack that killed his family—and was severely injured by it, to boot—but he was still a loving, caring person who honestly believed in Celestial Being’s goals, and did not get caught up in revenge and hatred.
  30. Ali killed every member of Lyle’s family, and laughed in his face when confronted about it.

[manip of paulie and harry by @burberryharrie xxx]

“I still cannot believe you’ve never seen Clueless before.” Paulie stated when the end credits started rolling.

“Well, I have now thanks to you,” Harry said and sat up straight. He yawned and stretched his body.

It was like he was putting on a show for Paulie. His back muscles strained against his t-shirt and his arms looked so toned the way he stretched them over and behind his head. Paulie gulped.

“How have you lived your life up until this point without having seen it?” she asked and very, very reluctantly peeled her eyes off Harry’s body and focused back on her chipped nail polish.

“I was waiting to watch it with you,” he said and winked at her, as cheeky and charming as ever.

“You’re an idiot,” she said and rolled her eyes at him. She reached over and ruffled his hair as if on reflex and Harry immediately pushed his head against her palm, a soft moan escaping his throat.

“Did you change your tie again?” Levi asked him.

“Um. No?” But he had. It was a habit he took part in when he was preparing for something that made him especially nervous.

“The kids won’t care, Erwin.”

“I know.”

“That color looks fine,” Levi said and used the tie to pull Erwin down to his level. He pecked a kiss on his mouth. Erwin smiled.

“Thank you, Levi.”

“Let’s go.”

The Devil You Know Part 4

Warning: Cussing. Violence.

Chapter 7 Negan POV

Fuck me, I knew doll was a tough cookie, but I didn’t know she was that tough. I figure she was going to crack a little bit, you know? Maybe shaking a little bit, hell a tear or two, but nope, nothing. She just looked at me like she was bored as fuck.

I get it, its the end of days and you got be tough or your fucked. But still, usually girl’s freak out when they see a guy bashing someone’s head in and laughing about it. So why in the hell didn’t she? What the fuck as she been doing that she acts like this shit isn’t nothing?

As I walked down the hallway I could hear a small voice sing, twinkle twinkle little star. Fuck, it’s so weird having a kid running around here. Not a bad weird, but a good weird. Hell, I never thought there would be any kids running around here. I started whistling twinkle twinkle little star as I walked into the mess hall.

“Negan.” Zoe said, turning to me smiling. “Where’s mommy at?”

“She’s cleaning up a mess for me princess.” I said, smiling back at her.

“You mean Travis’s body?” Zoe said and my smile fade. Damn kid was smart. “Just cause I’m a kid, doesn’t mean I’m stupid.”

“Course not princess.” I said sitting down next to her and placing Lucille on the chair next to me. I notice Zoe still had about half a plate of food left. “Why didn't’ you finish your food princess? Not hungry?”

“I want to save it for later. Is that alright?” Zoe asked.

“Yeah, sure princess. Won’t you go take this over there.” I said, pointing at the shelves behind the counters. “There are some boxes you can put it in and you can take it to your room for later, alright?”

“Alright. Thank you Negan.” Zoe said, nodding her head as she took her food and walked off.

“Did she fucken say anything to you?” I said, looking at Arat. “About her pops?”

“Nope.” Arat said, shaking her head and then looking over at Zoe. “She didn’t talk at all. When I asked if she was alright.” She looked back at me. “The kid just said she was told never to talk during her meals.”

“Is that right?” I said and Arat nodded. I looked over at Zoe, who put her food away and started washing her plate up. “Do you fucken remember how you act at her age?”

“Yeah.” Arat said, laughing a bit. “I was a hell child. You?”

“I was fucking shit up.” I said, laughing and then letting out a sigh. “But why isn’t she?”

“Where are you going with this boss?” Arat asked.

“When all that shit went down with Travis, when doll said she was fucking focusing on Zoe.” I said, turning to Arat. “I fucken felt bad that she had to fucken see that shit. But when I looked down at Zoe and looked into her eyes, she wasn’t phase by it.” Arat rise her eyebrows at me. “I know right? Princess should have been scare about it but she wasn’t. Being surrounded by us and the walkers, she was fucking tripping. But seeing her mom almost kicking a man’s fucken jaw off, didn’t bug her.”

“What the hell as the kid been seeing that didn’t bug her?” Arat said.

“My fucken point exactly.” I said.

“Her dad?” Arat said.

“Her dad.” I said, nodding my head. Zoe started walking over and I lean close to Arat. “Keep this shit between us.” She nodded her head as Zoe sat down. “Arat, go ahead and head out. I’m going to keep princess fucken company till her mom comes for her.”

“Alright boss.” Arat said, getting up. “Goodnight.”

“Goodnight.” Me and Zoe said as Arat walked out.

“Do you like to draw princess?” I said and she nodded. I pulled out a pen and a small notebook out of my jacket, and handed it to her. “Won’t you draw me a picture.”

“Okay.” Zoe said, smiling as she started drawing.

“You know there is a school near by. Maybe I can find you some crayons and coloring books. How does that sound?” I said.

“How many points for them?” Zoe said, looking up at me.

“Ten points” I said smiling at her.

“One point.” Zoe said, smiling at me.

“Seven points.” I said.

“Three points.” Zoe said.

“Okay, about five points?” I said.

Okay. Deal.” Zoe said, holding her hand out.

“Deal.” I said, shaking her hand and then she went back to drawing. “So princess, I wanted to ask you about your daddy.” She stopped drawing.

“He’s dead.” Zoe said and she started drawing again.

“Now princess, I know your lying.” I said, leaning closer to her. “You were going to say something when your mommy said he was dead. What were you going to say princess? You can tell me, I’m not going to get mad at you or her, I promise.”

“Mommy said, not to talk about daddy.” Zoe said, shaking her head as she kept drawing.

“Did daddy ever hurt you?” I said and she shook her head. “Did daddy ever hurt mommy?” She stop drawing and she looked up at me. She looked back down and started drawing again. “You know princess, I won’t let daddy hurt mommy if he shows up here. I”ll kill him if he tries something.”

“No you won’t.” Zoe said, as she started drawing faster. “You won’t know daddy was there till it was too late. Just like the rest.” She looked up at me. “If daddy heard you asking mommy to marry you or you telling mommy she was beautiful he would have killed you.” She looked back down and started drawing. “Just like the other man.”

“What other man princess?” I asked and she started drawing faster. “Zoe.” I put on hand on hers to make her stop drawing and use the other one to turn her face to me. “What other man?”

“I’m not suppose to tell.” Zoe said, pulling away and looking down. “I wasn’t suppose to go down there.”

“Zoe.” I said, taking both of my faces and gently place them on her face and turned her to me again. “Princess, it’s okay. I”m not going to tell mommy you told me okay?”

“Before all this, a man told mommy that she was sexy and he wanted her number.” Zoe said, pulling away again and looking down. “Daddy got mad and told me and mommy to get in the car. Later that night, mommy was in the shower and I got thirsty. So I went to the kitchen and when I was going back to my room. I heard noise from daddy’s work shop. I’m not suppose to go down there, but I wanted to see what was in there. So I…I..”

It’s okay princess, take your time.” I said watching her shake.

“I went down stairs and I went inside. Daddy had the man on the table and he was tied down. Daddy looked at me and smile, he told me to come over and sat down next to him. So I.. I did. Daddy got a knife and he..” Zoe said, as she starting drawing again. He said this what happens when someone disrespects mommy. Then he cut the man’s tongue out and sew his mouth shut.”

“Jesus fucken Christ.” I whisper. “What happened after that?”

“Daddy handed me the knife and he told me that I needed to start learning to do what he does. Then mommy came down stairs and she yelled at daddy, and slapped him. Daddy grabbed mommy’s neck and slammed her to the ground. He said, he was doing it to define her honor and she goes and disrespects him. He told mommy that she had to learn another lesson and mommy told me to go upstairs. But daddy said I needed to stay and watch, if I didn’t that he was going to teach me a lesson for not listening to him about not staying out of his work shop. So mommy told me to stay and whatever happens, not to stop daddy.” Zoe said, as she stop drawing.

“What did daddy do to mommy?” I asked, dreading the worst.

“Daddy took off mommy’s shirt.” Zoe said, looking up at me. “Then he got a fish hook and he…”

“Zoe.” I turned to see doll walking in, piss of beyond belief. “Go to the room this instance young lady.”

“But mommy I just..” Zoe stopped when doll shook her head. “Sorry, Negan. I got to go.” She grabbed her box and took off.

“Look doll.” I said, standing up and going to her. “I was just…”

“Shut it.” Melinda said, getting into my face. “I get that you run this place and what you say goes, but she is my daughter. Not yours, mine. You have no right to talk to her behind my back like that Negan. Don’t you dare ever, ever do that shit again.”

“Look doll, you can calm your fucken shit and step the fuck back alright?” I said, and she step back from me. “I wanted to fucken know what the hell was going on with you guys. And don’t fucken say nothing is going on, because I knew something was fucken up when I look into both of your guys eyes. Then with that fucken shit princess just told me, just proves I was fucken right. Yes, it was wrong of me to fucken go question princess, for that I am sorry. I can’t fucken take that shit back, but what I can do now, is offer you guys some fucken help.”

“Help?” Melinda said, giving me that straight face of hers. “If you want to help, then give us a weeks worth of supplies, ammo, guns, a car with a full tank, an gas can that’s also filled up and let us leave tonight. If you don’t want to do that, then step aside so I can do what I need to do to earn points so we can leave.”

“Your safer fucken here doll.” I said, stepping closer to her. “He won’t be able to fucken get in here.”

“Bullshit.” Melinda said, stepping away and turning her back to me. “I already saw seven weak point and knowing him, he’ll find twice as much, if not more.” She turned back to me. “Just let us go and you can tell them we ran off sometime in the middle of the night.”

“If you do that doll. I’ll have no fucken choice put to hunt you guys down and bring you back.“ I said, stepping close to her again. “No one just fucken leaves here doll, no one.”

“You were never planning to let us go” Melinda said, looking up at me. “Were you?” I smiled down at her. “You basturd, why would you do this?”

“What can I fucken say doll? I fucken know what I want.” I said, leaning in closer to you. “And what I fucken want, is you.” I reach out and brush a strain from her face. “O yeah, I really fucken want you. But don’t fucken worry doll, I’m not going to fucken touch you unless you fucken say so. I maybe a fucken asshole, but I am still a gentleman when it comes to that sort thing. So I’m going to fucken ask you again, want to be my fucken wife?”

"You know what?” Melinda said, as she looked away and then back at me. “Suck my imaginary left nut and choke on my imaginary right one.”

I throw my head back and laugh. “O doll.” I said, looking back at her. “I just fucken love when you talk dirty to me.” I licked my lips as I looked down at her. “Won’t you get some fucken rest doll, we got a supply run tomorrow.”

She turned around and headed to the door, but stop. “The punishment for rules breaking, doesn’t apply to my daughter, does it?” Melinda said, turning to me.

“No doll.” I said, shaking my head.

“Would you let her leave when she’s old enough to be one her own?” Melinda asked me and I shook my head. “Thought so.” She turned back to the door. “I hope you know Negan, you keeping us here, just seal everyone’s fate.” She looked back at me. “They’re all going to die because of you. He’ll kill them all and save you for last, just so you can hear them screaming. You just killed them all.” She turned back around and walked off.

I let out a sigh as I ran my hand their my hair. I looked back at the table and that’s when I saw it, Zoe’s drawing that she left behind. It was the usual stuff a kid would draw, clouds, the moon, the stars and the trees, but what got me was the people.

There was two people running off, one small and one big, it had to be princess and doll. Then there were several people on the ground and one in the river. They all their eyes were x’s, showing they were dead. Then I saw there was a black figure that stood by the river. It looked like it was holding a knife or something. There were words right next to it that said, “I will find you.”

I grabbed the radio out of my pocket. “Simon, come in.” I said.

“Yeah boss?” Simon said.

“I want you to double the fucken men on patrol tonight. If they see anyone trying to coming up to the gate or even fucken snooping around in the trees, I want them to fucken gun them fucken down. Understood?” I said.

“Understood boss.” Simon said.

I put the radio back in the pocket and looked at the drawing one more time, before I let out a sigh. I picked it up and put it in my pocket as I picked up Lucille. I started heading back to my room, but decided to make two quick stops.

Few Minutes Later...

I knocked on her door, hoping I wasn’t going to get greeted with a punch in the face. It slowing opened, but only just a little bit.

“What do you want?” Melinda said titling her head to the side. “And don’t say me or I’m smacking the shit out of you.”

“I wanted to let you know, I fucken double the men on guard duty.” I said, leaning against the door frame. “Tomorrow, I want you to fucken show me the weak points you saw and we’ll come up with a fucken plan. Also, we’re going to fucken keep princess indoors with an armor escort.”

“Thank you.” Melinda said, giving me a small smile. “Can we leave after we make enough points to pay for her medical care?”

“Doll.” I said, letting out a sigh. “I can’t let you guys go, it’s one of my fucken rules. If I fucken let you guys just go, what would the fucken others think? You got to fucken see where I’m coming from doll.” Melinda let out a sigh and nodded her head. “I wasn’t fucken lying when I said it’s safer here. You got more eyes looking out for you guys, then just you fucken keeping a look out. We can help you, I can fucken help you, but to do that, we both got to fucken play nice together. So what you fucken say doll? Going to fucken play nice for me? For princess?”

“Yeah.” Melinda said, in a small voice. “Yeah, I’ll play nice. But I mean what I said, don’t go behind my back again Negan. I don’t want her to remember all that shit, alright?”

“Alright doll.” I said, reaching into my pocket. “Before I fucken forget, take these.” I handed her a handgun with an extra clip. “If some fucken chance he gets in, I want you two to be fucken safe.

“Thank you.” Melinda said, taking the gun and the clip. “But aren’t you worried I can just turn around and use it on you?”

“If you wanted me died, you would have just shoot me already doll.” I said, giving her a smile. “Alright doll I’m heading off to bed. How about a fucken good night kiss before I go?” I lean down closer to her.

“Guys, I’m trying to sleep.” Zoe said moving around on the bed.

“Sorry baby, Negan was just leaving.” Melinda said, looking over at her and smiling. Then she turned back to me. “You should get going.”

“I”m not even her dad yet and she’s already clock blocking me.” I said, smiling at her.

“Yeah, that’s not going to happened.”Melinda said, shaking her head.

“Hey, I fucken happened to believe I would be a great dad.” I said.

Yeah, sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night.” Melinda said, rolling her eyes at me.

“This is what fucken helps me sleep at night.” I said, leaning in closer to kiss her, till she close the door on my face. “Good talk doll.”

“Good night Negan.” Melinda said behind the door.

“Yeah doll, goodnight.” I said, smiling as turned down the hallway and headed towards my room. I started whistling as I swung Lucille around. “Think twice before you touch my girl. Come around I’ll let you feel the burn. Think twice before you touch my girl. Come around come around no more…”

Holidays With The Beales

“Rough day?” Chloe said as Beca unpacked her laptop bag, back to her best friend who was sprawled out on her bed, scrolling on her phone.

“My dad called again, asking if I was coming for Christmas with him and Sheila again this year.” She began setting her laptop back up, taking her headphones out of her bag and placing them beside it before turning to finally face chloe.

“And?” Chloe moved over, leaving a Beca sized gap for the woman to crawl into, making herself at home in the gingers arms.

“I told him what I did last year. That I already have plans. Then he bitched at me about how family is important and that I’m always welcome there bla bla bla.” Beca let out a long sigh, pulling Chloe’s arm around her waist and playing with long fingers as they cuddled.

Chloe waited a few moments before responding, letting her friend calm down a little before suggesting something new. “You know, you could always come with me instead of staying here alone. My parents wouldn’t mind at all.” It was quiet, barely above a whisper, but Chloe stayed hopeful as she waited for Becas response, her other hand combing gently through brown locks.

As Nira tries to console herself with everything that has happened over the past few days, she finds herself confronted once again by the demon.  She feels as if she is facing this demon alone, but is she?

Things were only getting worse. It felt like every time she helped fix a problem, another problem would make itself known. There was nothing to hold onto and she was spiraling. Falling further and further into a darkness that would never end.

How was she to put the world in order?  Nira knew nothing outside of the Dalish.  Everything she had accomplished happened by sheer luck and the support of those around her. And she was supposed to be what?  The Herald of Andraste?  She knew nothing of Andraste or the people that served her.   How was she supposed to save them when she knew nothing outside of her people?  She wouldn’t even know where to start.

Holding her knees close to her chest, Nira hugged herself as she tried to calm down.  It was happening again.  The light that surrounded her was slowly being consumed by the darkness.  It was coming.  Nira buried her face into her arms.  She felt herself tense up as she prepared herself for the demon she knew was approaching.  It had first appeared after Cassandra began trusting her with more and more responsibility a week prior.  When the fear demon realized how much of an impact it had on her, it continued to haunt her.

A sharp shiver ran down her spine as she braced herself.

“You’re still here?  I would have thought they had gotten rid of you by now.”

Nira'sal closed her eyes tight, desperately trying to concentrate on anything that wasn’t the demon’s words.

The voice was soft and distant, but its words were sharp and struck her like no other.  It wasn’t working.  Her fear consumed her, despite how hard she tried to keep it at bay.  Summoning the small bit of courage she had left, Nira tightened her grip on her arms.  "Leave me alone.“

"Such strong words for such a weak little elf.  We both know you aren’t cut out for this.  You try to be kind to them, but will they return the favor when they find out who you truly are?  An elf that stumbled into something she doesn’t understand.  You can never save them.  Their hopes have been placed in the wrong hands.”

“I can try.  I will always try.”  Nira’s voice cracked as she spoke, her words trying to convince not only the demon but herself as well.

The demon chuckled, the sound deep and ominous, chilling her to her very core.

“You can do nothing.  You will fail.  Why should you even bother?”

Each word was another dagger in her heart.  She wanted nothing more than to learn as much as she could about this world, but at the same time…she never asked for any of this.  She wasn’t good enough to become Keeper, what made anyone think that she could save them when she couldn’t even save her own clan?

“I…”  She raised her head slightly, her eyes focused on the ground.  Tears streamed down her cheeks.  He was right.  They had the wrong person.  Nira couldn’t recall what happened the day she stepped out of the rift, yet Cassandra and the others placed all their hopes in her.  What would happen if she couldn’t close the rift? What would they say?

“Vara amahn, elgar’daris.”  Another voice rang out somewhere far in front of her, a commanding voice that seemed to eat the darkness away bit by bit.  Slowly, the area that surrounded her became somewhat familiar. The Fade.  It wasn’t real…and yet…  Nira raised her hand to her forehead, her body shaking violently as she tried to regain herself.

She couldn’t save this world.  She knew that from the beginning.  Why couldn’t anyone else see that she was the worst possible choice to save them?

“Nira’sal.”  Again the voice called out.  Nira looked up to the figure that she could barely make out amongst the darkness.  As he got closer, the answer should have been obvious.  It was Solas.  “Are you alright?”  He spoke softly, kneeling down beside her.

“I am.  H-how did you find me?”  Nira looked up at him, tears threatening to erupt once more.  She reached out, gripping his cloak tightly, her body slowly moving closer to him with each passing moment.

Solas watched her with a sad glance.  “I was speaking with a friend when I heard your cries.  I had no idea that a demon had its hold on you.  I apologize.  I should have realized it sooner.”

She wasn’t alright.  The demon knew what strings to pluck.  Knew exactly which buttons to push.  Nira felt defeated, alone.  She just wanted some sort of comfort.  Hot tears stained her cheeks as she pulled herself into Solas.  “I just want to get out of here.  Take me home.”

A soft sigh escaped from his lips, his arms wrapping around her steadily. “Ma nuven’in, da’len.”

Nira’s eyes opened slowly and immediately began tracing the room.  She knew that the demon couldn’t be here, but she had to be sure.  She pushed herself up, wiping the tears from her eyes.  She was alone, but at least she was back in Haven and away from that demon.

She exhaled softly.  She was so weak.  If Solas hadn’t have come when he did, there’s no telling what would have happened.

She heard a small tap on the door as it opened.  “Nira’sal?”  Solas looked over at her with a soft smile and slowly made his way over to her.  “Are you well?”  He asked, sitting beside her on the bed.

“Well enough…I guess…”  Nira forced a smile on her face.  They were quiet for a few moments.  She didn’t mean for anyone to see her like that.  Scared and alone, laid bare for him to see.

“How long has that demon been tormenting you?”

“Not very long….I’m so sorry, Solas.  I never meant…”

A smile crossed his features.  “You have no reason to apologize.  Everyone faces their own demons.  It is nature of things.  Unfortunately, for mages, demons seem far more real and pose a much deeper threat.”  He paused for a moment.  “I had noticed that at times you seemed to carry a much heavier burden than the others.  I would have helped you had I known.  In the future, I would like for you to come to me.”

“I wasn’t really planning on telling anyone.  All of this…”  Nira looked around the room, her right hand gripping her arm.  “…It’s just all too much.  I didn’t want to let them down.”  Everything the demon said was true.  She was just a sheltered, naive little elf.  She had no idea where to even begin to seal the Breach.

Hesitantly, Solas reached over and placed his hand next to hers.  “I know, but they trust you.  They believe in you.  It will take time, but you will become the hero they require.”  He pushed himself to his feet, nodding slightly.  “Heroes are not born overnight, da’len, it will take time.  Now, try to get some rest.  We head out for Redcliffe tomorrow and you will need your strength.”

Nira reached out for him, grabbing a bit of his jacket before he moved too far away.  Solas looked back at her, surprised by her sudden action.  “Wait…Will you stay with me?  At least until I fall asleep?  If the demon comes back, I…”

He watched her silently, but nodded, worry creased into his features as he sat back on the bed.  “Of course.”

Nira scooted back under the blanket, exhaling softly as she tried to make herself comfortable.  At least, as comfortable as she could…she still couldn’t get used to this shemlen style of living.  She was going to have to push herself through her discomfort.  Maybe with Solas here she could actually get enough sleep for the first time since she arrived in Haven.

She watched him for a moment, waiting for him to move in next to her.  When he did not, she pouted.

Nira grabbed Solas’ sleeve once more, tugging him towards her.  She scrunched her face up as she looked over at him, in hopes that he would understand what she wanted.  After a moment, Solas nodded begrudgingly, slipping himself in easily next to her in the bed.  Immediately Nira snuggled into his chest.  Finally, she felt safe.  She wasn’t alone and now?  She had someone she could go to when it came to the demon.  Solas knew everything about spirits.  Maybe he really could help her.

Solas wrapped his arms around her, pulling her even closer.  “Tel gela, I will be here.”  Nira smiled and slowly drifted off to sleep, protected by Solas’ embrace throughout the night.

Yo Mai was the worst in the comics because she literally did help her dad. She hid his attempts, that's aiding and abetting a criminal. She was aware that her dad was going to try to kill zuko and his family again after she watched him try the first time. Then she guilt tripped Zuko into apologizing for it? That's literal gas lighting. Plus she never acted like she was wrong or sorry at all? She didn't care what happened to key lo either? This is all canon too. You don't even gotta twist it

{{ Oh I know it’s all canon, I’ve read the comic books all up to the recent one, I know that Mai hid what her father was doing from Zuko, and she did use Kei Lo to get Intel on her father. It’s PAINFULLY obvious that Mai doesn’t know how to have a functioning relationship. Everything she ever did was for her benefit and her’s alone.

She cared little for Kei Lo’s feelings, even AFTER he shared a secret with her that he didn’t share with anyone. She was playing a part that she felt was necessary to get the information she needed in order to help SAVE Zuko and his family from the FIRST attack. She was trying to save him because she didn’t WANT Zuko dead.

Mai isn’t as cut and dry as everyone is making her out to be. She’s not some horrid bitch that is so evil and doesn’t deserve to be loved. I mean sure, she’s mentally and emotionally abusing Zuko, and that’s HORRIBLE. He deserves better and shouldn’t be made to feel guilty about it. Still, the way Mai is acting is a LEARNED thing and not something that she just does because she’s deep rootedly selfish and self centered.

Mai is emotionally stunted, from an early age she was molded to be the perfect daughter for a man in the political career. More akin to a child needs to be seen, not heard. Made to be presented as the perfect example of a child of the Fire Nation. The perfect daughter for a diplomat of the Fire Nation. She was always told that her fathers career was important and that was the ONLY thing that mattered. No one ever talked to her about her feelings, asked her what was wrong, or even to ‘open up’ because to fly off the handle was unladylike and would set a bad example for their family.

She was never too exceptionally close to her parents, and since she’d been told not to explain or talk about her feelings she simply learned to bottle them up. The Fire Nation, that I’ve noticed, was always about appearance, and how they looked to everyone else, so they needed to be the pinnacle of perfection to the outside world. Mai is a result of that, not saying her parents didn’t love her, but they focused more on the politics and getting ahead. Not realizing they were damaging their daughter.

She grew into an emotionless, easily swayed teenager whom held no opinion one way or the other. Not caring about anything is how she dealt with not feeling cared about or loved. If she didn’t feel anything, she couldn’t be hurt or disappointed anymore. (Which would explain her clear detachment from the whole fiasco with Tom Tom and trading Bumi for her brother. She was QUICK to leave her parents because it got her out of the shadow for awhile.

Though even as you watch her, she holds no clear respect or care for authority. Simply following orders because it’s ‘something to do’. Though underneath all that, is a screaming girl crying for help…but because of the way she was raised, she never let it out. Being an only child for 15 years essentially didn’t help things. As such she got everything she ever wanted, and as long as she listened and was well behaved she would never hear no.

So when things start not going the way she wants them too, ESPECIALLY from someone whom she’s showing a small amount of affection toward (I.E. Zuko) She becomes angry and enraged at the fact. Not caring about the reason or circumstance about why it happened, just the fact it wasn’t what SHE wanted and what SHE expected, it upset her and so YES Zuko was the bad guy.

She was hurt, and she was angry at him for it because it went against EVERYTHING she was taught and believed. It’s like her world was tossed upside down on her before being left in the dark again. Especially when, in the beginning, she does try to help soothe Zuko’s anger by trying to distract him, if she had truly not cared at the time she wouldn’t have even bothered to try.

She doesn’t know how to handle someone with Zuko’s temperament because she hadn’t dealt with someone like him for a long time. She WAS trying though, but, again, because she doesn’t talk about feelings…she shuts other people talking about it because ‘if it was all right for me, it’s all right for them’. It’s what was FAIR in her mind, is it right? No, but because she was raised to speak when spoken too, it kind of rubbed off on her personality.

Mai isn’t heartless, and she’s not a robot. She can get hurt, and she does get angry but she is EXTREMELY flawed as an individual. And COMPLETELY wrong for Zuko.

They butt heads WAY too much because their on two separate wavelengths.

So when it came the time to chose between taking her father in, someone who’s her FAMILY and RAISED her, as well as CLOTHED her and kept her fed and nurtured her from an infant, (whom I believe also manipulates her emotionally and mentally) OR the man whom she has nothing in common with, argues with all the time and has an on again, off again relationship? It’s not hard to see WHICH of the two she would choose.

I mean, I would have chosen MY father.

So hiding her father from Zuko, and not revealing the fact that he was trying to kill was made out of loyalty to her father and her family (Because we all not how important loyalty is to them). She regrets it and in turn ends up going with him in order to stop whom ever is doing this once and for all.

And of course, the classing gas lighting she does is something that she’s USE to doing. She has NEVER done ANYTHING wrong and was ALWAYS having the best interest for her people at heart. Zuko was the one whom was wrong, and hurting people. Why didn’t HE understand what it was like not turning in her father. I mean…Zuko did the same thing. I mean it too Zuko YEARS before he realized that his father was in the wrong. So of COURSE Mai was going to throw it in his face.

Does it make it right? No.

Should she have apologized? Absolutely.

Was she wrong? Yes.

But she was molded to be that way from birth. I mean, look at Azula. She was in the same boat as Mai, kept her emotions in check, she rarely EVER reacted out of anger and kept her cool in any and all situations. Until her father turned her back on her and she had nothing left to fall on.

Mai is the result of poor parenting, where politics too precedent over her own happiness and well being. It created a desperate, greedy and lonely child whom will do anything to keep from seeing that anything she does is wrong because she NEVER does anything wrong. She was raised not to. So it is, and always WILL be everyone else that takes the fall and will be to blame…believe me. I know, I live with someone who does that to me all the time so I know what gas lighting looks like.

Being a victim of it, I can understand WHY Zuko apologizes to her, because he loves and cares about her. He feels bad he ever made her feel that way. I struggled with it for years….and I still am so I know how harmful it can be…but until Mai realizes that she’s hurting people and grows out of this mindset…I don’t think she’ll ever stop doing it. }}

Wounded Warrior

I feel like I leave my Dramione people lost in a world of vampires and volleyball so here we go lol. This is me making up for it XD

Hermione was doing her duties as a Prefect, strolling up and down the endless hallways, tired as can be. She yawned, covering her mouth with her hand and rubbed her eyes. She needed to stop reading before bed. It made her stay up much too late. Her footsteps echoed as she walked, the steady and constant rhythm lulling her to sleep. She shook her head, trying to keep focus. As she continued down the hall, she noticed the door to the Room of Requirement begin to emerge before her. She knew exactly what would be waiting for her. A nice soft bed with warm blankets, maybe even a crackling fireplace so that she could sleep calmly.

But she couldn’t. She had responsibilities. Then again…

She looked at her watch. Five minutes wouldn’t hurt.

She pushed at the door, and it opened with a large groan. Just as she had expected, there was a bed and a decently sized fireplace, with two armchairs in front of it. However, there was also some sort of dark-wooded closet with elegant carvings on it. Hermione walked up to it to get a closer look, but the doors flung open and a person clambered out, collapsing on the ground.

Hermione was too shocked to scream. She ran over to the body, using all her strength to flip it over, so that she could identify it. She gasped as she realized she was looking at Draco’s unconscious face. He was soaked from head to toe, but it hadn’t been raining, and his face was frozen in a grimace of pain. She unhooked his robe quickly, checking to see if he had been wounded in any way. She gagged upon seeing his blood-stained shirt. How much blood could a person lose before dying?

With quick but shaky hands she undid the buttons, nearly throwing up when she saw just how large the slash across his stomach was. She pulled out her wand, her hands now bloody, and in her panic zapped him with just about every type of healing spell she knew.

The wound slowly began to close, but it was a long way from fully repaired. Should she take him to Madame Pomfrey? No, she thought, that’d be suspicious. What had he been doing, to end up like this in the first place?

I’m telling you Hermione, Draco Malfoy is a Death Eater.

The thought only made her more nauseated. She shook her head, pushing all of those thoughts away. Maybe Harry had been right, but now was not the time to deliberate it. Draco was still soaked to the bone, and badly wounded. If she didn’t do something he could very well die.

She’d have to undress him. She cringed at the thought.

But he was heavy. How was she supposed to move him?

She chastised herself, trying to get a hold of her thoughts. You have a wand, Hermione, she told herself. Clutching her wand, she made it so that he was hovering, and began stripping him down easily enough, tossing away the blood-stained shirt. It was then that she noticed the bold mark on his left arm. She gasped, unable to look away. Could it really be? She shook the thoughts away, her main focus on getting him dry. She undid his belt buckle and let his pants slide down, unhooking them and letting them drop to the floor.

Please let his underwear be dry, she thought. With the back of her palm she patted his boxers, noting them to be wet. She nodded, as though encouraging herself, and took a deep breath. Ok, she thought, I can do this. With her wand she guided him to the bed, letting him fall gently. The wound was slowly starting to open again, and so she muttered a few more healing spells. When she noticed the Room of Requirement providing her with bandages, she wrapped up the wound as well.

She then undid her own cloak and threw it over him, covering his body. She took a deep breath. If I don’t look, it’s fine, she told herself. Reaching under the robe, she tugged at the fabric and brought it down to his ankles, looping his feet through so that it came off entirely. She grabbed the blanket that was hanging off one of the armchairs and tossed that over him too, since he was still so cold. Once that was all over and done with, she collapsed on the bed next to him, feeling exhausted. Something was telling her not to report this, and without knowing why, tears began to slip from her eyes.

Draco Malfoy was a Death Eater. Someone her own age. Had he been carrying out a mission? For him to end up in such a state…it must have been something awful. She was bringing her hand up to wipe her eyes, until she saw that they were still covered in dried blood. She gagged again, wiping her tears with her sleeve instead, and quickly reached for her wand.

She mumbled a few cleansing spells, but was unable to do anything about some of the blood that covered her clothing. She stared at her hands once again, but couldn’t seem to shake the image of blood from her mind. And then, Hermione Granger fainted.

Draco tried to lift his eyelids, but they were heavy, and so he squeezed them shut, and blinked rapidly a few times before successfully opening them. Upon doing so, he had no idea where he was. Not in his room, he knew that much. But he was on a bed? He tried to sit up, but as a sharp pain rose from his stomach he quickly laid back down, wincing. He groaned. That’s right, he had been carrying out a mission for the Dark Lord. That was when he noticed the gentle breathing next to him. He turned his head, practically choking on surprise.

Granger? What the hell was she doing here? And sleeping next to him in bed. He looked her up and down, noticing the random splatter of blood on her white shirt. His blood? More than likely. Had she helped him? Why on earth would she help him of all people?

But the image of her was enough for him to ignore his thoughts. His eyes followed her body, and he saw that her skirt had been flipped up, revealing white underwear and smooth thighs that for whatever reason were making his heart race. But, because he was Draco Malfoy, he didn’t feel the need to look away. She had a nice pair of legs on her. Creamy and long, playfully crossed over each other in a careless sort of way. Shame she kept them hidden under that robe of hers.

Suddenly, realization slashed through his mind. Was he naked? What the fuck had happened? And why was Granger of all people here? He kicked off the blanket, and with much struggle, sat up on the bed, keeping the robe to cover himself. But it wasn’t his robe. It was much too small. Hers, maybe?

The movement made as he struggled to sit up caused Hermione to stir awake. He reached over quickly to the top of her skirt, and flopped it back over, so that she was covered. He grimaced as the movement made his stomach shoot with pain.

Hermione rubbed her eyes and looked at him, just looked at him, for a few moments. It was as though she were trying to piece together whether or not this was reality.

“Hi.” She breathed.

“Hi.” He blinked.

She sat up and cleared her throat. “Um. How are you feeling?”

“Like shit.” He couldn’t read the look on her face. She looked…concerned?

“You lost a lot of blood. I did the best I could.”

He motioned to the blood splatters on her shirt. “I can see that.” He said. Then he peeked down the robe, looking at his bandaged stomach. He really was naked.

“What’d you do to my clothes Granger.”

Her eyes widened and she held up her hands, shaking them. “They’re over by the fire! You were soaked and I thought…I didn’t look, I promise.”

Well, that was more than he could say about himself. He tried to sit up, so that he could grab his clothes and get the hell out of there, but as he sat up, the wound began to throb, and it made it hard to breathe.

“Fuck.” He spat out.

He looked at her, she had a worried look in her eyes, her hands small fists over her knees.

He scoffed. “Get me my clothes would you? It seems I can’t move.”

She rushed over to get his clothes, and handed them over to him, cringing as she noticed the blood still on them. “I’m sorry…”

He shook his head. “It’s fine.”

With much trouble, he managed to put his underwear on, the robe slipping off his shoulders, making his chest visible. Even though it was covered by the bandage, it still make Hermione queasy.

“I’ve had worse.” He said, noticing her look.

“That doesn’t take away from the fact that this was bad.” She said.

He looked at her, a hard expression on his face. “You didn't…tell anyone I was here, did you?”

She shook her head.

He struggled to put on his pants, groaning with each movement.

“Well,” he looked away, “Thank you, then.”

She cleared her throat awkwardly, “You’re welcome.”

He scoffed. “Aren’t you afraid? I’m a monster now.” He motioned to the Dark Mark.

She shook her head. “You’re still just Draco.”

His eyes widened with surprise, before narrowing with suspicion. “Well, what do you want? I don’t like owing people things.”

“Not everything comes at a price, Draco.”

“Galleons, then?”

“Some sort of book or something, what?”

“Nothing. Just…try and not die.” Her features cringed.

“What do you care if I die?” he spat out angrily.

She flinched. She wasn’t expecting him to yell.

“Fine then! Die!” she yelled back, a bit louder than she had anticipated. So much so that she surprised herself. But he deserved it. She saved his life and that’s how he was going to talk to her? To say she was angry was an understatement. She walked over to him, yanking at her robe and tossing it over her shoulders. “Last time I try to help you.” She muttered under her breath.

“Granger wait!” his voice was panicked. She found that a bit strange, so she turned to look at him.

He cleared his throat, trying to sit up straighter, and grimaced. No doubt he was still in pain. “Thank you.”

She sighed. He looked…afraid.

“You can’t move, can you?”

He shook his head.

“Is there anyone who can…healing spells aren’t my strength.”

He clenched his teeth. “Try, Granger.”

“I’m a Death Eater. You think anyone is gonna help me?”

She bit her lip and pulled out her wand. She washed a variety of spells over him, and slowly, his face began to relax. He let out a deep breath.

“That feels much better.” He told her.

She nodded.

It was strange how you could see someone every day and never actually look at them. Hermione had a kind face. Probably because she was naturally a kind person. She had figured out how to tame her curls, the wavy brown hair spilling over her shoulders neatly. And then the legs she kept hidden. The image from earlier this morning flashed into his mind, and he blushed involuntarily.

Bloody hell.

“I didn’t mean it.” She said quietly, pulling him from his thoughts.

“Mean what?”

“I hope you don’t die. I know we’re on opposite sides…but still.”

He took another deep breath. “I hope you don’t die either Granger.”

She smiled. “I don’t plan on it.”

He chuckled and stuck out his hand, “I’ll buy you a drink, when it’s over.”

She took his hand and shook it. “Sounds like a plan, Malfoy.”

I don't know but I just wanted you to confirm wether you've received my Boys bonding head canon request? It's been over two weeks since I sent it. If you didn't get it here is the thing I requested, the boys bonding especially Farkle and Josh along with Lucas n Zay. Like Farkle and Josh being in competition with Riley and Maya in terms of their bonds. Like them being best buddies of all times. And if you don't mind can you end it with them being each other's best man?Plz lemme know if u got dis?

omg okay bless you. Although I already wrote out wedding headcannons for each and they weren’t each other’s best man, Josh had Cory bc his friend Andrew was officiating the wedding and Maya had claimed Farkle as ‘her best person’. Auggie was the groomsman that Farkle was paired up with and they put on a show of skipping down the ‘aisle’ and ended up falling in the mud😂 At the riarkle wedding Josh, Lucas and Zay got into a fierce competition over who should be the best man, and while they were distracted Farkle was like ‘Auggie bro you’re one of the only sane people in my life you’re best man’ lmao. He had to give some cheesy speech about friendship and how ‘you’re all winners in my heart’ to appease the other guys😂😂

  • Okay so Josh and Farkle first meet when Farkle is like 8 years old
  • Riley pulled some major puppy dog eyes and got her parents to let Farkle come with her for the month she usually spends with her grandparents in the summer
  • But Amy and Alan only said ‘Riley’s bringing her friend’, so Josh assumed they meant Maya and wakes up the day of their arrival expecting to have four weeks to hang out with his niece and her cute blonde friend
  • But he walks downstairs to the kitchen and he’s like wtf
  • This is a different blond friend
  • Where is the correct blond friend???
  • What is this
  • Is Maya trying to prank him or something??
  • As it turns out, Maya managed to get her ass stuck in summer school so she wasn’t allowed to come
  • So Riley brought her other ‘bestest friend’ and now Josh has to deal with this pipsqueak all month instead of having someone following him around adoringly and giggling at all his bad jokes and telling him how cool he is while simultaneously calling him a dork
  • r u d e
  • So anyway Josh is like “what’s your name?” and the kid is like “Farkle”
  • And there’s a long moment of them holding eye contact before Josh realizes he isn’t lying about his name
  • So Josh is just like “…I’m gonna call you Yahtzee okay”
  • “Um…no?”
  • “Too late.”
  • So Amy’s just like J o s h u a but Riley’s giggling so Josh is calling a win for this one
  • Okay so anyway the month goes on, they go on various ‘little-kids-in-summer’ misadventures
  • Josh usually has a great time because he loves hanging out with Riley and Maya. They’re both really funny and make him feel cool what’s not to love here
  • But Yahtzee doesn’t seem to have much of an opinion on him, and Riley’s too busy being completely enthralled every time the kid throws out a random fact to pay enough attention to Josh
  • And now he doesn’t have Maya with her pigtails and big blue eyes staring at him like he hung the stars to help him deal with his niece apparently ditching him
  • So this summer is just…not good for his ego omfg
  • (You have to take into account that while Josh isn’t an only child, he’s the MIRACLE BABY like of course he’s used to people doting on him omg)
  • So instead of this fun summer he had all planned Josh is being a bit of a mopey little bitch omg why does Riley think this bowl cut kid is cooler than him?????
  • like wtf he could see it if this was actually a cool kid, but it’s July and he’s got??? Only turtlenecks and sweaters on???? And he has a bowl cut and glasses???? And keeps talking about science???? What the fu c k
  • Joshua is adorned in the Cool 6th Grader Look* and he plays guitar and wow Riley remember that time I saved you from an angry dog??? What a way to pay me back,
  • These thoughts are rushing through his head as he sits on the counter with his arms folded, pouting at Riley and Farkle who are at the table, rolling cookie dough and talking about how fireflies glow????
  • 8 year olds are so fucking weird man,
  • Okay so since Josh is truly Cory Matthews little brother, he just simmers in his 10 year old angst and basically ruins the summer for himself. He’ s all just like ‘fIIINE I guess I’ll hang with my REAL friends instead of you losers!!!’ as he angrily scooters off into the sunset and ultimately has to deal with his school friends making fun of him for being upset that 8 year olds don’t wanna hang out with him. A n g s t
  • He’s gonna try to blame Maya for all this but it’s all him lmao there was more then one occasion where Riley was like ‘Grandma why is Uncle Joshie being so weird?????’ and Amy was like ‘He’s just at an age sweetie’ which made no sense to Riley so she’s like ‘Kay then I guess I’ll go read with Farkle at least he knows how to smile???’
  • So anyway the summer trip is over and Josh misses his niece now that she’s gone
  • Goes on with his life
  • Suddenly it’s Christmas time and his brother’s family is gonna be with them for a week and a half and he’s lowkey pumped because Christmas and New Years is the prime time to be an adorable kid and he and Riley tend to unite and get a lot of attention, eat a lot of cookies, and try to see who got the better presents from Santa
  • So they’re there for a few days having fun this is the lyfe
  • But suddenly someone’s knocking on the door and it’s FUCKING YAHTZEE ASKING IF RILEY WANTS TO COME BUILD A SNOWMAN WITH HIM
  • And Josh slams the door in his face lmao
  • But then Riley yells at him so he opens it back up and he’s like ‘how are you possibly here you live in New York’
  • ….oh, right, OF COURSE he has grandparents in the area. Of course.
  • So Josh still gets to hang out with Riley on Christmas and New Years but all the other generic December days she’s there, she and Yahtzee are out and about!
  • Stop stealing my niece!!!
  • So the holidays come and go and Josh is like. You know what??? Fiiiine.
  • I am a BIG BOY and Riley is a LITTLE GIRL and someday she will see the error of her ways and pay the correct amount of attention to me again
  • In the mean time though, he did have one thing he could at least look forward to: The weekends when Cory would bring him up to NYC and the two of them and Riley would get discount tickets for musicals. He loved that tradition. That was sacred to him, his brother and his niece, and it was safe. He’d get to see cool shows and then gush about them and sing all the songs with Riley while Cory drove them to whatever restaurant they were hitting up afterwards, and even after that Cory would buy them all ice cream and take pictures of them and it was quality family bonding and there’s no way Josh would ever feel neglected during it.
  • …May 26th 2010, in which Josh gets in the car ready to go see Billy Elliot with his family, only to find an extra member. A blond bowl cut. Glasses that wouldn’t stay on his face, a blue turtle neck, whispering something into the ear of a giggling Riley
  • Cory affectionately ruffling Yahtzee’s hair, saying he joined Riley’s dance class and wanted to learn about the musicals everyone kept talking about, and ‘you don’t mind do you, Joshie? He is basically part of the family.’
  • But he doesn’t say that so they see the show and it was spectacular but Josh is in #sulk mode the whole time
  • Surely this is a one time thing though, right?
  • It is not a one time thing
  • It is an every time thing
  • H e l p H i m
  • But omg okay Josh does eventually grow out of this angst
  • Just because he gets older and matures and all that
  • Eventually figures out life doesn’t revolve around him like all 6th graders eventually must
  • Eventually accepts that sometimes Riley can find people that aren’t him cool and maybe she can pay equal amounts of attention to them
  • He still barely interacts with the Yahtzee kid tho, not because of any lingering resentment but just because??? What is there to say??? They’re very different people. They have nothing in common.
  • Their longest conversation 5 years of knowing each other was ‘Hey can you stop calling me Yahtzee? It kinda hurts my feelings’ ‘Oh wow sure sorry dude’.
  • Josh still calls him Yahtzee in his inner monologue lmao
  • Josh was presented with a new nickname of ‘Dr. Turtleneck’ at Family Game Night
  • But the next time he’s back and prepared to use it…what the ever living fuck why is this kid not in a turtleneck
  • They were meeting up for another discount musical trip and Riley just arrives with this guy in a denim hoodie and a beanie and Josh is like ‘wtf where’s your pet genius’ and Riley’s just like??? Farkle is standing next to me do you need a stronger contact prescription????
  • So Josh has a very mini existential crisis because Farkle looks cool now and if Farkle is considered cool than w h a t a m I
  • He gets over that quickly enough though lmao
  • So like they are chill with each other and all but he doesn’t actually become legitimate friends with Farkle until the kid starts dating Riley
  • He was horrified to walk in on that scene on Valentine’s Day. He kept crying even after he learned it was a misunderstanding
  • Like Josh is all for letting Riley grow and experience life and all but n o p e that is his NIECE, SON
  • Josh was planning on talking to Farkle about the relationship, he was lowkey planning on just having a very friendly and casual conversation with him while holding a butcher knife and chopping vegetables in an angry way that didn’t fit with his tone of voice
  • But then Eric almost killed the kid, and accident or not Josh figured he had received the ‘don’t-mess-with-Riley’ message
  • And now that Josh was a struggling college student who was always at Cory’s to steal food or wifi, and Maya had gotten over her obsessed crush on him, Josh started hanging out with Riley’s friends every now and then
  • He and Farkle initially started bonding over a shared love for horror films and then eventually found other things they had in common. There wasn’t like, that much to go on, but they did end up forming an actual, strong friendship.
  • They’d get into in-depth discussions and analysis’ about movies, try to convince each other to listen to cool new bands, hang at parties the gang snuck into
  • Maya c o n s t a n t l y making jokes about Josh taking Farkle as his ‘apprentice in hipster trash’
  • Josh managed to refrain from murdering Farkle after Riley got pregnant that was a miracle
  • Josh was named godfather of Penny and although he was still pissed his niece got pregnant so young in the first place he was SO PSYCHED TO BE A GODFATHER
  • Buys Penny so many presents
  • When he’s ‘on tour’ with his band, if he’s ever in Riley and Farkle’s general area he will all but kidnap this baby
  • Farkle f l i p s when Josh and Maya start dating
  • Every time Riley and Maya run off to do something, Farkle always cracks a joke like ‘I think my girlfriend is cheating on me with your girlfriend’
  • They are HIGHKEY those guys who will be at a party or a hang out or whatever who are like ‘well the girls seem to be preoccupied time for us to hold bottles of beer and stand next to each other in compatible silence’
  • They don’t really form an actual #bromance until after Farkle’s bachelor party
  • Because the day after that (which is the day before the wedding), after Cory and Topanga fucking m u r d e r e d them for sneaking Auggie into a bunch of clubs and getting him drunk, they were still massively hungover and just moping about and laying on the Matthews’ couch looking through all the pictures they posted last night
  • And they’re finding themselves in these increasingly provocative situations the girls put them and they’re just like…how do we possibly come back from this
  • ‘There’s nothing to come back from. this is nothing.’
  • ‘There’s a picture of you pretending to give me a blow job in the middle of Times Square.’
  • ‘I was pretending??? Thank GOD I couldn’t remember clearly enough!!’
  • ‘I vaguely remember at some point we performed an over the top sexy tango for a crowd of grown adults dressed like Catholic school girls…?’
  • ‘The only crowd that deserved to see us tango like that tbh’
  • ‘I…Josh I think I’m wearing your underwear right now’
  • ‘Yeah, we didn’t pull that one off as smoothly as the girls did…’
  • It’s at this moment Zay texts Farkle asking him if the weddings off bc he discovered his true feelings for Josh,
  • And Farkle is just like Z a y bye
  • ‘Or are you gonna go through with it only to have Josh interrupt right at the very end and profess his love for you in front of the whole crowd??? I’d pay money for that.’
  • And after that it sorta becomes a running joke in the friend group
  • Every time Maya and Riley do something…literally ANYTHING together
  • People are just like ‘can they be TOPPED’ and will annoy Farkle and Josh until they try their hardest to out-gay their own wives omg
  • At some point they give up being uncomfortable with it it just becomes a weird second nature for them lmao
  • They live for the fact Farkle’s daughter’s Cassie and Cleo hate Josh’s son Sebastian.
  • They have a youtube channel detailing the twins pranks on the poor boy omg
  • Josh uses #celebritypower to endorse Farkle whenever he’s got a political campaign
  • Every time they post selfies they caption it ‘just bros being hoes’ lmao Maya coined that
  • But yeah they’re chill and they’re friends and they’re idiots it’s a fun combination lmao
