i wanted to do something related to them

So I messaged my mother to ask if doctors work split shifts and she replies with:
“I’d go into specifics but ur prob only asking for some Holby City related thing so I won’t waste either of our time w the details when in Holby you can pretty much make them do anything they want and it doesn’t have to be true or believable, that’s why it’s Holbyland. Do something constructive. Love you.”

I mean… she’s not wrong but still, is there any need to expose me like this, mother?!

decadeoldtiger  asked:

1 2 and 21 please!

1. Which version of Dearly Beloved relates to you?

(Answering this ask took so long because I went back and listened to all of them once again :’D)
I can’t really decide which one relates to me, but when I heard the Birth by Sleep version for the first time…it felt right, you know? I mean every version is beautiful, but this one - it feels like it actually tells the story of BBS.

2. Which character(s) do you relate to and why?

Terra. We both wanted something for a large portion of our lives, we both had a big dream, but our capabilities were… limited. And then we met people who didn’t necessarily want our best. We both grew up kind of sheltered and all of factors and more played together which led to our ultimate demise. And we’re both kinda still hanging in the air, hoping to set things right once and for all.

21. You end up in the Dive to the Heart mode, which weapon would you take? The Dream Sword? The Dream Shield? Or the Dream Rod {staff}? Which weapon would you discard?

I was never a strong person strength wise and I always loved magic, so I would go for the Dream Rod and give up the Dream Sword (in order to keep the Dream Shield, some extra protection can never hurt!)

Kingdom Hearts “About you” asks!

Alright! I’ve decided to take fan fic/writing requests! Go ahead and ask. I’ll do anything exept for nsfw atuff cuz I’m not comfortable with it. Also I will only do fandom related stuff with fandoms I’m familiar with, but don’t be afraid to ask. I might look into it if I’m interested. Also, if you want to include an oc you’ll need to send me an IM about them since it’s your character and all that. I will only be doing one shots, if I want to do parts of something then I will, but if you request more than one part I won’t always do it. Lastly, if I loose inspiration for something it might take a while for me to finish, and keep in mind I also have a life off of tumblr so it will be a while reguardless. Ok, so have fun and all that.

Tl;dr

No nsfw stuff

Provide info for oc’s

Ask about fandoms

Not all requests will be done in order/quickly

I have a life so don’t rush me

Only one shots unles I say other wise

Have fun

(Also, please be respectful)

I really HATE finishing everything and then that’s when I notice I missed something. Happens every single time.

Anyways, I really missed drawing these dorks so I’m making up for lost time. Have another transformation gif set among the sea of many. I forgot animation could be tedious but it’s still so fun. I also wanted to announce that I’m planning to open a patreon account very soon. I need some extra cash to pay off a few bills. ;_;

smile ✦ peter parker

summary : as the adopted daughter of none other than tony stark, you have a myriad of responsibilities. babysitting peter parker probably wasn’t supposed to be one of them. not that you’re complaining.

Tony Stark was a lot of things to a lot of people. He was the billionaire, he was the genius, the philanthropist, and the notorious playboy in his younger years. Most notably, however, was that he was Iron Man. He was marveled at by the entire world, him and the group of heroes that stood beside him; the Avengers, as they called themselves. To you, however, he was your father.

A terribly overprotective one, at that.

Of course, this was only to be expected of a father, even a foster one, but the lengths the man went to in order to keep his only daughter out of whatever he deemed trouble were rather extensive. You rarely ever left the Avengers tower, and if you did you were accompanied by a team of people you could only describe as rip off Secret Service men. Sometimes, Natasha would replace them, or Steve, but that was a rare occurrence. You were homeschooled by the best tutors his money could pay for- this particular move was less about refining your education and more about keeping you away from any boy in the five boroughs.

You chose to spend majority of your time reading in your room and training, always wary of anyone who approached you about being a friend. Your surname meant everything to people, especially the girls that wandered around Manhattan desperate to become the bestie of the daughter of the richest man in New York. You loved your dad with all your heart, but the stigma that ran with the Stark name would never stop irritating you.

That, and the impromptu plans he threw at you on a regular basis.

“Miss Stark, your father is requesting access to your room. He knows you hate it when he barges in.” Vision drifted into your room without warning, making you jump. You yanked your earbuds out of your ears, giving him a look.

“I hate when anyone barges in, Vision. That includes you, too.” You pushed your chair away from your desk, placing your pen on the desk and shutting your notebook. “Tell him he can come in if he lets me become an Avenger.” You raised your voice at this, knowing he would hear you.

“He says that he’ll consider it if you let him in.”

You raised your eyebrows. “Touché.” You motioned for the door to open, and your father walked into the room, immediately taking his pristinely polished shoes off and lying down on your bed. You stared at him.“Dad, it’s not cool to wear sunglasses inside. You look lame.”

Tony Stark rolled his eyes at you. “It’s called a look, sweetheart.” You laughed, pretending to nod in agreement. He placed his hands behind his head as you spun your chair back around to your desk. “What are you working on?”

“Something for Bruce,” you muttered, pen cap between your teeth as you continued to jot down important points from his numerous lab reports. You were going to have to hand in a full analysis of his findings for your end of term science paper, and he was more than willing to aid you. “Science report.”

“My daughter, beautiful and intelligent, my flesh and blood,” Tony declared proudly.

“Dad, I love you to the death, but I’m still not your biological kid,” you smiled all the same, though, and he knew behind the tough exterior you were happy to hear his expressions of admiration.

“Who needs a biological kid when I’ve got this great, wonderful adopted one right in front of me.”

Not looking up from your notebook, you said, “You’re really laying it on thick today. I’m all of those things, obviously, but I know you want something. So, what is it?” You paused, then said, “Thank you, by the way.”

“You sure we’re not related?” He sat back up, clasping his hands together. “What do you say about Germany?”

“Nice enough place I guess, interesting history, why?”

“I kind of need you to go there for two weeks with me.”

With a groan, you dropped your pen and held your face in your hands. “Another surprise trip? Dad, I have school. I have homework! Do you see this?” You held up the thick stack of reports from Banner’s lab, waving them around. “This is gonna be, like, my life’s work.”

Tony shook his head. “Kids these days and their homework. Seriously. When I was at school I would have taken any opportunity to shirk my responsibilities.”

  “You did do that.”

He waved his hand. “Technicalities. Anyway, as you know the Avengers have been disassembled. Sokovia Accords and all that bullshit. I assume you’ve been keeping up?”

“Hard not to.” It was true. Anything in the news was about the great split of the infamous team, Captain America vs Iron Man. It was impossible to turn on the television without hearing about it. And, considering you lived underneath the same roof as half of them, it was quite literally not an option to be ignorant to what was going on.

“Good,” he grinned proudly again. If there was one emotion that the man felt whenever he was around, it was proud. Nearly everything you did made him beam with pride, and if you had been placed into an actual high school, there was no doubt in his mind that the person at the top of every single class would be you. You excelled no matter the circumstances. “So, to sum up, there’s gonna be a big showdown in Germany. Western style, naturally. Guns blazing and everything.”

Your eyes lit up and you nearly flew out of your chair, rushing over to him. “Oh my god, are you finally gonna let me fight? You’ve seen my training, right? I’m getting so good. I’m like, practically Natasha level good. She’s been showing me that move where I can snap people’s necks with my thighs and-”

“First of all, your thighs are not going around anyone’s neck, so jot that down,” he interrupted. Your enthusiasm visibly deflated. “I need you to kind of watch over this kid who’s coming with us. He’s from Queens. You love Queens.”

“You’re making me babysit?” You flopped down on your bed, staring up at the ceiling. “C’mon, dad, I’m sixteen. That’s practically an adult. I think I should be allowed to fight this time. I’m Avenger worthy.”

“Practically an adult is not the same as literally an adult, as in over eighteen.” You groaned again. “Don’t call it babysitting, anyway. He’s your age. Well, he’s a few months younger, but that doesn’t matter. Just call it… hanging out with a good kid that’s fighting for your dear old dad and making sure he doesn’t get into trouble in Germany or annoy Happy too much.” He patted your knee, standing up. “We leave in the morning, kiddo, so pack up.”

“How come he gets to fight if he’s younger than I am?”

“’Cause he’s not my daughter. Goodnight, light of my life.” He kissed your forehead before leaving, giving you another encouraging smile.

“Goodnight, pain my ass,” you grumbled as he left. He popped back in, a stern expression on his face. “If I watch your new protégée can I become an Avenger?” Tony rubbed a hand over his eyes. Teenage girls were exhausting.

   “We’ll talk about it.”

You’re sitting at your breakfast table with suitcases piled next to you when Peter Parker strolls into your life with happiness in his every footstep because he is just so, so glad to be there. You’re spooning cereal into your mouth when he sits down directly across from you, a video camera cupped in his soft looking hands and the little red button clicked on, meaning that he is recording you. You place your spoon back into the bowl of milk that is dusted with cinnamon sugar from the Cinnamon Toast Crunch you’ve been eating for the past ten minutes.

   “Do you mind?”

“Mind what?” He asked, peeking up from behind his camera. You gestured toward it, wiping your mouth with your sleeve.

“The camera. I’m kind of still in the middle of eating breakfast in my pajamas,” you leaned forward, switching it off. “You must be the Spider-Boy.” The chestnut haired boy feels a blush creeping up his neck and settling along his cheekbones when you say that.

“Oh, did Mr. Stark tell you that?” He rubbed the back of his neck, laughing awkwardly. “Um, it’s Spider-Man, actually.” He mumbled the man part, knowing fully well that he didn’t look like much of a man in the eyes of anyone, his eyes casting down as he fidgeted with the strap on his camera.

“Oh good,” you nodded. You took another spoonful of cereal. “I like that better. Nicer ring to it.” You grabbed your box of sugary breakfast and pushed it toward him, an offering.

“Huh?” He was a bit dazed. He stared at the box in front of him and then realized he had been doing that for far too long of a time to be considered normal. “Oh, right, um, sure, thanks!” He opened the box and took a handful, shoving it in his mouth. You kept eating your cereal, silently staring at the bowl and willing yourself not to laugh at the boy in front of you. With all his nerves, he was still a bundle of energy and cheerfulness, and, well, let’s face it, he was sort of adorable. “So, you think my name’s cool?” He tried to sound suave, charming, as he said it, tried to smirk at you, but he stopped when he realized that he looked stupid.

You gave him a half smile. “It’s pretty good.” His face positively lit up with happiness to be taken seriously, and you knew the feeling too well. You stuck out your hand. “Oh, forgot to introduce myself-”

“Y/N Stark, adopted daughter of Mr. Stark, probably the smartest girl in all of New York and, uh, correct if I’m wrong but… Black Widow’s best student as well as Bruce Banner’s apprentice.”

You gaped at him. The blush he had been sporting crept up to his ears and made his nose turn the shade of a strawberry. “Well, uh, yeah,” you said, flustered. “Should I creeped out or flattered?”

“Flattered, please.” The genuine worry in his eyes as he leaned forward made you laugh. He had an endearing personality.

“Flattered it is.” You watched the slow sigh of relief leave his mouth, his hands flying up the mess of hair atop his head and fixing it distractedly. Your dad walked into the room, and Peter practically fell out of his chair trying to stand up and seem presentable. Your slouch was indicative that you didn’t care much. He was just your dad. “Morning, pops,” you slid the box over his way.

He frowned at it.” Y/N, that stuff is crap. I don’t know why you eat it.”

“Wanda and I like it,” you said defensively, a slip of the tongue. You knew your dad was going to get annoyed at the mention of the Scarlet Witch, who had evaded and ignored his attempts at keeping her powers under control. “It’s good. High quality. Right, Peter?” You whipped your head toward him.

He felt his heart give a little tug. He grabbed the box out of your hand and shoved more cereal in his mouth, the cinnamon sugar sticking to his lips. “Yeah, Mr. Stark. Best stuff ever,” he said through a mouthful of it. Tony gave them an amused glance, picking up your two heaviest suitcases and beckoning you both to the landing strip. Peter swallowed his food.

He didn’t even like Cinnamon Toast Crunch that much. He was just thrilled that you knew his real name.

Everything about this kid was infuriatingly dorky in the cutest way possible. You came to this conclusion as you boarded the jet with ease, sitting in your usual spot by the window and greeting Happy with your typical friendly smile and idle chitchat. Peter stumbled onto it with awe written across his features as he stared around the place, touching nearly everything much to Happy’s dismay.

“Haven’t you been on a plane before?” The man asked, growing irritated with the way the kid was filming everything. You saw Peter zoom in on Happy’s face and grinned out your window.

“Nope, never!” Peter exclaimed, his video camera still in front of him as he captured every detail of his trip.

“Well, sit down so we can take off,” Happy said gruffly, grabbing Peter’s shoulders and forcefully placing him into a seat.

Peter sat still for a moment, then hopped over to the seat next to you. He placed his camera in front of him on the tray table. “Y/N, smile for the camera. I’m recording.” You looked at him, then turned to the camera and gave it a deadpan stare. You even threw in a slow blink. “Good enough,” he shrugged. He kept it recording as he shifted in his seat so that his entire body was facing you, his chin resting in his hand and his elbow on your armrest. His gaze was sort of nice. “So, Miss Stark, I have a few questions.”

“Um, okay, shoot,” you closed your book that you had open on your lap. “I’m not that interesting, just so you know.”

“I think you’re interesting,” he assured you. You heard Happy let out a choked laugh at Peter’s flirting attempt, but it was just another thing you found sort of lovely. It was a genuine compliment. “What’s your favorite subject in school?”

You’d been expecting the typical what’s it like being Tony’s daughter spiel, and you were pleased to get an actual question about yourself for once. “I like everything, I guess. I kind of love school, but I don’t go to a conventional school, so. Training is cool, I like that a lot.”

“You train with Black Widow, I have to ask- can you show me some moves? I need to refine my technique before the fight,” he explained.

“Do you wanna learn how to crush people with your thighs?”

“Wow! Do you think I could? Could you teach me? That’s so cool,” he beamed, turning to the camera for a split second with an overexcited look.

You pursed your lips, staring out your window for a minute. You were up in the air by now, and there was long flight ahead of you. “Maybe. If my dad is okay with it. I have to check.” Peter looked confused,

   “Why wouldn’t he be?”

“He’s, you know, really overprotective.” You put your first against the cheek, leaning the same way that Peter was. You sighed. “I don’t have a lot of friends. Which is fine, but I can’t even attempt to go make any because I have a whole freaking SWAT team on my ass the minute I step out of the tower because he’s so worried about my safety.” You let your head hit the window, your eyes rolling skyward. “And that makes no sense because-”

“You’re really strong and stuff. You can protect yourself,” Peter finished.

“I think you know me a little too well, Peter,” you said, poking him lightly in the arm. “But… yeah, exactly. I don’t really get to do anything fun. I don’t have adventures. Sure, reading is fun and studying is fun for me and training is great and I love hanging out with everyone in the tower but I’m still a teenager. No fun for me, though. My life is pretty boring, sorry if that makes your little video diary suck.” You stuck your tongue out at his camera.

“No worries,” he said, taking it off the tray table and turning it toward you. “Tell me every boring detail, Miss Stark.”

“As long as you stop calling me Miss Stark.”

   “You’ve got a deal.”

It was a seven hour trip, and you both passed out by the three hour mark after Peter had pried every excruciating detail from your life out of you. You hated sleeping on airplanes, but your head was slumped against his shoulder and his arm was knocking against your own and his sweatshirt was as soft as pillow. You remembered the shy glance he had given you just before you knocked out on his shoulder for the remainder of the flight. He had a sweet smile.

Peter filmed absolutely everything. He filmed himself getting off the plane and then filmed you getting off the plane and nearly shoved the camera in Happy’s face until he threatened to break it and Peter backed off. He radiated enthusiasm. “Look at this, and this, and this, oh shit wow that’s so cool look at this! Oh man this is good stuff!”

“Peter this is literally just the airport how am I supposed to take you around the actual city?!”

“OH WOW Y/N have you seen this!”

    “Yes, Peter!”

He zoomed in on your face, your devoid of emotion look appearing again. “Are you ever gonna smile for the camera?” He gave you a pout, doe eyes and all. You turned away.

“No. I’m supposed to be babysitting you, please be behave.” You touched your fingers to the bridge of your nose, dragging Peter to a couch. “Please sit. We’re getting the hotel reservations checked.”

“Do they juice boxes? I’m really thirsty.” He was just trying to make you laugh at this point, and annoying you was kind of funny for him. You let out an involuntary chuckle when he pretended to claw at his throat, throwing himself on the ground.

“I’ll make sure they have juice boxes for you, Petey. You’re such a seven year old, geez.” You pretended to gag.

Looking offended, Peter replied, “I’m actually twelve.”

Jokingly, you said, “You’re a twelve year old that’s going to get a punch in the face if you don’t settle down right now.” He stood up, directly in front of you with his light eyes and little grin, another feverish looking heat burning at his face. Nevertheless, he still said, “It’d be an honor to get beaten up by you.”

His voice, the sincerity he carried within it despite the ludicrous statement, made you feel those famed butterflies fluttering inside you. Maybe it was the way he looked into your eyes as he said it. Maybe it wasn’t. But something within you was starting to like Peter Parker, and you’d barely known him for twenty four hours.

Then again, it was hard to not like Peter. The kid was just so damn likable.

He had known it from the moment he first set his eyes upon you that day in the tower that he was a goner. If he had known it then, just from sitting down across from you with nothing to him but his lanky figure and a suit that resembled a onesie more than it did a costume fit for a hero such as he, he was sure of it now, a week and a half later.

Every day had been the same routine. He’d be up bright and early in the morning so you could help with him his training, teaching him how to utilize the suit your father had given him with ease rather than his usual tactic of jumping into everything blind. You’d been the one to help come up with nearly all of the web shooter combinations. He didn’t know all of them yet, or close to half of them, but he was progressing wonderfully.

After training, you’d give him the tour of your favorite places around Germany, close enough to where you’d both be able to get back to the hotel before dark. He filmed the both of you constantly, but you shied away from the cameras every time without fail. He couldn’t understand why, but he didn’t push. He just liked filming in general, and would accept you not smiling in any of his clips as long as you were still in there.

There was a beautiful sense of normalcy that came with hanging around Peter. You reveled in it. No one had ever made you laugh so hard with his ridiculous attempts at jokes or made you smile so much at his shy flirting skills that clearly needed to be revisited.

It was okay. You didn’t mind. And the fact that you didn’t tease him for it made him so, so happy.

Then, came the day of the fight. Peter had his camera out, he was dressed in his spidey suit, and you were standing there next to him dictating who he should and shouldn’t go after.

“Don’t go after Wanda ‘cause she could obliterate you in two seconds and Cap could crush you, too, but he won’t ‘cause he’s really nice like that. Bucky won’t care as much, though, so don’t do that- Ant-Man seems pretty cool and harmless but I don’t have as much intel on him and Peter if you get hurt you have to go hide somewhere-”

“I’m not gonna get hurt,” he said confidently.

You ignored him. “I’m gonna be in your earpiece, figuratively speaking, so I’ll hear everything you do and if you talk I’ll be able to hear you and you can hear me. So, just… keep me updated.” Peter took off his mask for a second, hair sticking up everywhere from the static. You leaned up, smoothing it back into place. Everything about him was soft. You wanted to curl up in it and stay there for as long as you could.

“I’ll be fine, Y/N, don’t worry,” Peter placed his hand on your shoulder. You felt your face heat up.

“I- I’m not worried.” You totally were. “I know you’ll be fine.” You didn’t want him getting hurt. “I just want you to be careful.” You didn’t want him to fight.

You could’ve sworn his face fell a  bit when you said you weren’t worried, but he squeezed your shoulder anyway. Without a moment’s hesitation, you threw your arms around him, your nose pressing against his neck as you took a deep breath. He stood there for a second without doing anything until he realized that if he didn’t hug you back, he’d be the dumbest person on the face of the Earth. You felt his surprisingly defined arms hug you back.

You didn’t look at him when you pulled away. You stared at the spider emblazoned on his chest, gave him a quick good luck, then departed from the room. You sat on your own hotel bed with a rapidly beating heart.

The nerves were killing you. Ten more minutes. You opened your laptop and pulled up the system that would allow you to communicate across Team Stark. You were more focused on your dad and Peter. You tapped into your dad’s earpiece after placing the headset on. “Dad?” You spoke into the microphone.

   “Hey, kiddo, everything okay?”

“Y-Yeah I just-” you took another breath. “Be safe. I love you.”

“I love you too, Y/N. Are you sure everything is okay over there?”

“Can you just make sure Peter gets out okay? If he gets hurt, bring him right back, please. That’s it.” Maybe it was a stupid request in someone else’s eyes, but you needed Peter to make it back in one piece. Tony Stark looked over at Peter Parker, crouching in his hiding spot and fumbling around with the gloves of his suit and gave the kid a knowing smile. Of course that was the one his  daughter fell for in the end. Perfectly fitting.

“I’ll make sure.” You knew your father couldn’t see the grateful smile on your face, the sigh of relief that fell past your lips when he spoke these words.

Peter Parker, I swear if you make it out of this, I will smile like an idiot in every single one of your stupidly adorable video diary things. I swear. Just be safe.

“Your black eye is awful,” you told him, dabbing at it with more cream. “Totally ruins your face.”

   “I think I look manly.”

“You think incorrectly.” You stepped back, your fingertips tilting his chin up so you could examine it further. “I think I got the worst of it. You did really well, Peter. Exceptionally well.” His face was glowing from your compliment.

“Can I get on that tape?” He asked excitedly, ducking under his hotel bed for his camera. You nodded, and he switched the camera on. He held out his arm so that you were both in frame. And you smiled. He forgot all about what you were supposed to say the moment that beautiful smile appeared there. “I- wow, Y/N.”

   “What?’

His stare was kind as it usually was. “You just-” he paused. “Your smile is really, really beautiful.” There was no way for you to turn away from the camera this time and you were left grinning like a lovestruck idiot at the boy in front of you, leaning up on your toes to press a kiss to his cheek.

  “Thank you.”

You slept the entire plane ride the way you had the last time, curled up against Peter. This time, it was intentional. One of your arms was flung across his waist and his was wrapped around your shoulders, the sweatshirt he had came in now swaddling you cozily. There were two separate cars waiting for you. You stood in between them when the flight got off, the sleeves of his sweater hanging off your hands as you reached out to grab his. He felt you push a piece of paper into his hand. “You better call me, Peter Parker. I’ll be really upset if you don’t.”

He wrapped you suddenly in an embrace that lifted you off your feet just a little bit, his lips pressing against your temple. “I’ll call you every day.”

He kept true to his word. Every day without fail, your phone rang with a call from Peter, and you fell asleep on the phone with him more often than not. If you weren’t on the phone with him, you were texting him, and if you weren’t doing that, you wished that you were. The consistent communication was better than nothing, but regardless, you missed his presence. You missed the way you felt walking next to him as he explained why chocolate ice cream was so clearly better than vanilla. You just missed him.

“Peter?” You held the phone to your ear, nestled in your blankets already even though it was barely nine o'clock. His sleepy voice mumbled out a yes? “Would it be stupid if I said that I missed you?”

She could practically hear his wide smile through the phone. “Of course not. I miss you, too. So much. Probably more than you miss me.”

“That’s so not true!” She scoffed.

“Wanna bet?” His tone was mischievous, no longer the hoarse, pretty voice of a boy just waking up from his nap. “Open your bedroom door.”

    “Are you joking?”

You hung up the phone, throwing back your covers and not caring one bit that your hair was a dripping mess from your shower or that you were wearing  a terrible set of hello kitty pajamas that weren’t meant for anyone over the age of ten based on the size of the top. You nearly tackled him to the ground when you saw him standing in your doorway, a happy squeal escaping your lips. You were surprised he even got in, considering your dad wasn’t home, but you figured Vision had let him in. Vision always had a way of knowing.

“Have I ever told you that you have a really pretty smile?” Peter’s lips hovered over yours, almost hesitant. You took the initiative to kiss first, your hands delving into his silk-like hair. There was no point in waiting anymore. Your noses bumped together clumsily when he tilted his head back, admiring. You could feel your whole being light up when he gazed at you the way that he did, in that admiring, careful, Peter way of his.

“Careful, Spidey,” You warned, hands on his chest as you stared right back up at him.

“Careful of what?” He quirked an eyebrow.

“You’re going to make me fall in love with you one of these days if you keep looking at me like that.” It was only the truth, and you were a honest person.

“That’s sort of the plan,” he shrugged in a seemingly careless way, but he couldn’t hide it. He was an open book. An open book who loved you, and the way that you smiled at him when he pulled back his sleeve to reveal a web shooter, a strange glint in those brown eyes of his as he said, “You up for an adventure?”

Aaaand, the diaporama of them all together.
My aim was to draw some of my favorite HP caracters doing something relaxing, that they enjoy. Because they have so many dangerous adventures… i wanted to see them having a rest.

So now it’s over -for now- and I’m returning to my work. XD (work is a comic about a love adventure King Francis of France had… Not nearly as fascinating as HP related stuff, but well… at least I turned King Francis into a pretty young man x3)

Sweets, food and eeveelutions for Valentine’s Day 2017! :3

The “inspiration” whatever came from the fact that my boyfriend and I won’t be celebrating Valentine’s Day this year because we’re both very busy at the moment and so we decided just to go…eat something together. And so, that’s it ahahah! Also, last year I couldn’t manage to draw anything valentines related and I wanted to fix that somehow :) why Sooo, here’s my little cards! ♡ ♡ ♡  No puns in them because I’m not clever enough to write them lol I’d problably go for “I choose you, Valentine!” or something like that…XD (quite common, yup).

If you want to use&send one of them to your lovely better half, just add your personal favourite poképun, if you’d like c:

Anyway, I had so much fun drawing this and I hope you like it! :D Which one do you like best?

alien emoji rating

I really like aliens so I’ll go ahead and rate my little boys

Apple:

He looks cute and kind of nice, this shows that aliens do come in piece, the gradient effect gives a 3 D  S P A C E  P I N B A L L feel which is a nice touch. 4/5. He’s really nice, someone give him live stock for his planet.

Goolge:

I’m not sure Google is aware of the popular conception of aliens, but maybe they know something we don’t???? The colors are flat, something that in most cases is not bad, but this time it is, he seeks intelligent life yet he looks as he has no life at all. 1/5.

Microsoft:

He’s conventionally attractive and happy for some reaon, I’d let him make patterns in my crops, the T H I C C lines are not the best idea but the glow in his eyes are perfect. Not the best desing choices but I can deal with it. 3/5.

Samsung:

Isn’t this the most visually pleasing gradient ever made by human kind? But not for this guy, he looks like he’s dying cuz can’t breath our oxygen, poor fellow, also his face looks strange, he might as well be Mr. Burns. 3/5. Looks really smug and I bet this kid thinks he’s the smartest guy in the class.

LG:

Straight out of the uncanny valley, the face you’d expect to see from a badly written creepypasta edited over an old photo that’s supposed to possess you, looks scary, creepy and offsetting but not in the nice way aliens are supposed to look. Please deport him to his planet. 0/5. Save your children from LG cellphones.

HTC:

Look at this guy, like LOOK at This gUY!! His cute smile, this lime boy looks so mischievous, probably on space Santa’s naughty children list. The lines, the colors and the E D G E S are so pleasing to the eyes. 5/5. I’d let this guy invade my planet any day and eradicate all sentient matter without hesitation.

Facebook:

He’s scary, creepy and offsetting in the nice way aliens are supposed to be, the soulless eyes and the grey color blend so nice together making him intimidating and also hypnotizing. 5/5. Please take me away with you and use me as a guinea pig for your nefastus plots.

Messenger:

The colors looks like he’s from a flash animation and his face of utter disgust makes him unpleasant, I’ll take him with my leader because I don’t wanna deal with him. 3/5. You might be ugly, but you’re the designated emoji for most of my chats.

Twitter:

He’s minimalistic and cute, this grey buddy is my friend, please hug him and treat him nicely, he just want diplomatic relations with our planet, give him love and natural resources, he deserves them. 4/5.

Mozilla:

This guy is not an alien, he’s a light outlet. He’s nice and is probably that one cousin they sit with you on family gatherings, not because you get along, but because they want you to keep him from doing something stupid like breaking a bowl or causing a nuclear holocaust. 2/5. Sorry Kyle, I’m not your baby sister.

to namjoon; a fan project

hi, hello, how is it going all my lovely people reading this post !!! for those of who who may or may not have known I began a journal around the time I started this blog two years ago, I wrote a namjoon fic series about it called Foreign Sanctuary, and the end game for this journal was to always send it in to him- Kim Namjoon, not for any particular reason, just as one poet to another, one fan to an idol, and one girl to a boy.

with that being said, after two years, the journal is just about filled, and along with it, I want to include some other things from more than just me. Therefore, I want to do a post it project. I have purchased the largest pack of colored sticky notes I could find, and with the messages you guys send in, I plan on putting the sticky notes with your guy’s messages, onto every page that is empty next to a poem. or if needed, create a new book for them altogether.

this probably sounds very lame, but I don’t want this to be a gift just from me, I really want this to be something from a lot of fans who might not have the opportunity to be heard otherwise. And I don’t really have the money to do something super elaborate, so i think this is simple, but sweet and personal.

On a side note, I’d like to just set some vague guidelines:

  • 1) Please understand that this is something for Namjoon, so please keep your messages related to him, yourself or Bangtan as a whole, Also, please keep in mind that while Namjoon deserves the world’s longest essay of appreciation, these messages are going on sticky notes so don’t make it too long
  • 2) Be nice! If you have something mean to say or send in something salty I won’t be putting it in there at all
  • 3) I’d prefer whatever messages you send to be off anon or through dm, so that I can directly reply once it is in, but if you don’t feel comfortable sending in things for him off anon then know that I will most likely be making a thread of some sort where you can track the anonymous messages so you can ensure yours is in. Also remember though, that being off anon is the only way i can credit the message as yours with your url, if not it will just be written as from an army
  • 4) If you’d like to have me print small graphics, drawings, or computer arts, send them to my email, @c8andkips@gmail.com and I will print them on small photo paper and put those in as well
  • 5) If you have any other ideas, or things you’d like me to send, let me know by direct message and we can definitely discuss it. Let’s celebrate this wonderful guy in any way we can <3

I hope that for everyone, this can be a fun, exciting, and happy opportunity to share positivity with Namjoon and BTS, and if you have any questions about the project, the journal, or how it all works, let me know and I will answer them!

Project admissions end: 8-01-2017

Please reblog this to spread the word!

Circle Casting 101

Whether you’re practising Wicca, secular witchcraft or any other type of path, circle casting is often a process that many deem vital information.

Why cast a circle? Circles can be cast for a number of reasons.

  • Linking together the energy of a group of people for a specific purpose
  • Creating a sacred space for deity worship and ritual
  • Making a safe space where no malevolent energy can pass through
  • Drawing, containing and banishing the energy of something unsavory
  • Amplifying and focusing your own energy

Do I have to?

Nope. I think this is one of the biggest misconceptions about circles. There’s a lot of reasons why it is a good idea, but it’s down to personal preference. Some people don’t like the formality of it.

What is the right way to cast a circle?

Bluntly put, there is no right way. There are multiple different ways you can create a circle and I will list a few of them here, but it is really up to you.

Why does it matter which way I move around? (Clockwise and Counterclockwise)

It’s a generic and popular belief that clockwise motion is about creation, working towards something, manifestation and positivity. Counterclockwise is considered the action of unmaking things, deconstructing them and sometimes negative energy. As with anything, it’s down to your personal preference.

Preparation

Cleanse yourself. Pre ritual bath, smoke cleanse or any other method. If you’re casting a circle, you don’t want any lingering energy on your person interfering. This also gets you in the mood to do magical workings. You can use oils and herbs that relate to the intentions of what you are about to do, if you would like to. You might want to spend a few minutes in meditation afterwards and then ground and centre yourself if you feel like it would help.

Gather your tools. Depending on the method you are going with, these will be different. Essentially everything you need while you will be doing your working. Most people believe that stepping outside of your circle when it has been cast will break it.  You don’t want to be in the middle of casting a circle and realise you’ve left your lighter on the other side of it. This is also a good time to go over your game plan. Double check your notes and run through the circle process in your mind to see if you are forgetting anything.

Cleanse the area. Again, for the same reasons you cleanse yourself. I find it best to walk around where the perimeter of the circle will be when I cast it. You’ll typically want to do this right before you start the actual casting, and can say a small poem or dedication while doing it if you would like to.

Let’s face it, we bookworms tend to put a lot of pressure on ourselves, when it comes to our reading, because we’re weird like that, but in a good way. And, the truth is that reading should always be fun. Guilt free. ALL THE FUN SO MUCH OF THE FUN BECAUSE WORDS ON PAGES *insert screech* You know what I’m talking about. So I thought that compiling a list of the reasons that bookworms feel guilty and why they should just stop would be a great idea

  1. Not reaching our Goodreads challenge/lowering our goal for the year

In the past few years, the Goodreads challenge has become a staple of measuring achievement when it comes to reading. It has become insanely popular and it’s honestly such a good tool to keep track of everything you’re reading. But it also adds an immense amount of pressure. I’ve been there. When December rolls around and you see that you’re to the Goodreads challenge what Pluto is to being a planet in the Solar System (a.k.a. not even close; also VIVA LA PLUTO because Pluto deserved better smh), the panic sets in. You’re left with two options: lowering your goal or not finishing the challenge. Both make you feel like crap. But honestly, life makes us feel like crap far too many times, thank you very much, so let’s not let reading add to the ever growing pile of crap, am I right?

There’s no reason to feel guilty. If you read one book that year, you’re still a bookworm and it’s still a HUGE achievement. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t reach your challenge. It’s just a stupid tracking tool on the internet, it’s not something to measure your worth as a reader or as a person. You’re still awesome, even if you read just a page. Even one page counts. We’re busy, school and work get in the way 99% of the times. Unexpected life events occur. Shit happens. It’s normal and it’s expected, because life is fun and all that jazz.

Also, may I suggest a great idea: set your goal to one book for the year. Boom! Pressure off. You’ll still be able to see what books you read, how many pages and all that jazz, with the bonus that you don’t feel like hyperventilating every time you open your Goodreads account

  2. Not finishing books (the dreaded DNF)

Let me tell you something right off the bat: life is too short to waste on books that you’re not enjoying. Yes, I know, if you’re like me, you die a little on the inside every time you are at that point where you want to scream at the book you’re reading: BUT WHY ARE YOU NOT GOOD WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME WHO DID I OFFEND IN A PREVIOUS LIFE FML FML. It’s a reality. But let’s face it: you’re not going to enjoy every single book you pick up. It’s just not written in the stars. Which is why it’s perfectly acceptable to just…stop reading it. Put it down. Hug a kitten. Contemplate the universe. Leave it be. Maybe pick it up at a later time, maybe not. But don’t feel guilty. You didn’t disappoint the book, yourself, the book gods or literature as a whole. It just wasn’t meant to be and you should never force yourself to read a book you’re not enjoying. In my case, every time I force myself to keep going with a book I’m not enjoying, I tent to end up in The-Thing-That-Should-Not-Be-Named a.k.a. the Book Slump™. Just…no.

  3. Not reading classics

80% of the classics I’ve read have bored me to tears. I mean. I want me some dragons, magic and lost princesses. There are no such things in most classics (a huge oversight on the part of the writers, but I’m not pointing fingers). I’ve stumbled upon some that I really enjoyed, but too few to really make me actively pursue reading classics. The trouble is that a lot of people cringe so badly when you tell them that you don’t read classics.

“So yeah, I don’t really read or like classics”
“OMG HOW DARE YOU I AM OFFENDED”
“Um, I just..don’t really enjoy them/relate to the stories/want to live while I’m reading them”
“BLASPHEMY. SACRILEGE. BEGONE HEATHEN. SHAAAAME”

Whenever people react like this, it puts me off reading classics even more, because I hate judgy people. But I digress. My point is, the amount of classics that you read or don’t read doesn’t indicate how “good” of a reader you are (fyi, there are no good or bad readers imo). It’s just indicative of the genres you enjoy reading. That is all. People who read classics aren’t THE BEST BOOKWORMS™. They’re just people. Like you.

  4. Rereading books

I will shout this from the rooftops: I LOVE REREADING BOOKS. It’s something so refreshing and comfortable to go back to a book universe you fell in love with. To revisit favourite characters and go on adventures with them again. I reread at least a few books every year. Last year, I actively tried to reread at least one book each month. It was so much fun!

Rereading books can get you out of The Slump™. Rereading books is an excellent alternative for when you can’t afford to buy new books because stupid life costs money booooo. Rereading can be so insightful, because you notice so many things you missed on your first (or second, or third or…you get my drift) read. Rereading can be a whole new experience years after reading that book for the first time. Rereading a certain book can be the best for you at a certain time, because everything is familiar and safe. Rereading is absolutely no reason to feel guilty – people usually say they’re wasting time when they’re rereading (um, no), missing out on new releases (they’ll still be there a week later when you finish rereading your favourite book thank you very much), they fear not liking it as much the second time around (fine, I’ll give you this, it’s a possibility, BUT I ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE). Long story short: reread more books 2k17.

  5. Neglecting books because life

We’re bookworms, yes. But we’re also People Who Need To Live and Function in Society. What does this mean? That we sometimes don’t have that much time to read (I know, it’s just so rude). Days may pass when we don’t read at all. Weeks. Sometimes months. Years? (all my college years were spent reading almost academic books exclusively; it was a dark time in my life). But that’s okay. There’s no reason to feel guilty for doing our best to live out lives. Doing that sometimes implies giving up certain things, because we simply don’t have the time or energy to do them. That doesn’t make us bad people or bad readers. Your books will still be waiting for you when you have the time to devote them your full attention. Books don’t judge.

Surprisingly or not, this is just part one. I have many feelings about this particular topic, because I really really want people to read books guilt free. And live the bookworm life to the fullest

I’d love to hear your thoughts on these points. And if there was ever a time you felt guilty for something book related

Happy reading, bookish people <3

Mary

hey guys! my last semester of high school starts tomorrow and i thought i could make a quick lil masterpost on how to take on your next semester head-on and how to start off strong.

1. start off organized (whatever organized means to you)

  • one thing i tried this year was keeping a folder for all of my school papers and it helped me a lot instead of just putting my papers in one designated spot like previous years. keeping one folder (or one folder per subject) can help you keep track of all of your papers.
  • if you need tips on how to stay organized, check out my masterpost here :)

2. try to have a positive mindset

  • although i’m kind of loathing going back to school, you have to try and find the positives in going back! and it doesn’t have to be academic, my positive thought about school is that i’ll get to see my friends and read more cool books for Literature class. if you go into it with a negative mindset, school will be a drag and you won’t do your best.

3. make small progress on any long term assignments at the beginning

  • following this step should help relieve any stress about a long term project, especially one that you know is coming (ex. me with my quarter assignments for literature). making progress can range from starting to read the book early to just writing a sentence a day or somethin’. but you don’t want to get too caught up in this step that you forget about the work that is due the next day, or something of the sort.

4. *mainly for seniors* if you have anything application related, do it asap.

  • i know that i have my CSF application due some time throughout the second semester and a couple scholarship items to complete, so i’m going to do them either during the break before the next semester or as early as possible in the next semester. doing this is very helpful and will help relieve any anticipation or stress.

5. detox the weekend before you go back to school

  • personally, i try to refrain from doing anything school-related the weekend before school because you should just relax and prepare by being relaxed. take a bubble bath, watch a movie, hang with some friends, sleep, anything that makes you happy and relaxed. dunno what to do? i have some cute things here in my self care tag.

6. Have fun.

  • have a great time, don’t let school run your whole life.

i know this isn’t much but these are just my own little tips that i thought might help someone else. it sounds a lot like my Staying Organized masterpost, but most of that does overlap here. any masterpost recommendations? let me know and I will definitely take it into consideration.

Feeling a little run down and looking for a positive boost? Are you wanting to become more familiar with your energetic body? Would you like to add a little “oomph” to your daily routine?

Well then, do we have something for you!

This helpful infographic is something that I created a while back in order to help me strengthen my energetic body though the practice of intensive meditation and affirmations, correlating each point with a different day of the week.

What I do is sit and contemplate upon the affirmations for that day, breathing in the related color to the corresponding point of the body, and nurturing it with positive, loving energy. You can also use them if you know a certain area needs a boost, regardless of what the calendar says!

Within each column you will also find sigils that help target those points specifically, should you wish to use them! They were created with the numerical method for simplicity of use and design.

Please enjoy this poster, and feel free to print it out, save it, or use it wherever you like! Show us or let us know how you use it, and have fun!
We simply ask that you refrain from reposting without permission or removing credit and/or captions from this post. Thank you for your kindness. ♥

Chapter 93 Thoughts

This chapter scores the winning combo of being info heavy but not slow. Saying that there are a lot of points to mull over is an understatement. Long post incoming.

Main plot things:

  • Everyone in the world considers the titan powers to no longer be absolute.
  • Zeke is definitely up to something that does NOT have Marley’s best interest in mind.
  • Armin & Eren have (supposedly) been destroying and/or confiscating Marleyan ships over the course of 3 years.
  • Ackermans are titan-related science experiments gone horribly right.
  • Ymir’s fate confirmed.
  • There’s a 9th shifter out there yet to be introduced.
  • Memory inheritance is iffy and not exclusive to the coordinate.
  • Reiner’s suffering goes above and beyond near death experiences.
  • Falco isn’t disillusioned by life as a shifter, but is now a contender for inheriting the Armored Titan…as a way to protect Gabi.

If the first two chapters of this volume served to lay the groundwork, then this chapter is the one that really starts creating something. Whatever this is shaping up to be, I know one thing for certain.

I am hyped

It’s hard right now. I can’t stand social media, I can’t stand what they’re looking at. I can’t stand what they think is reality. Unfortunately, kids don’t care. They don’t care. They have to see something that’s going to scare them. They need to see something that’s frightening. I want them to understand it. I would do anything to be able to have a good influence on this generation but I definitely relate to everything that was going on.

Could you maybe explain the difference between what a special interest and a hyperfixation is to me? I recently figured out that I probably have minor ADHD, and these two terms seem really similar sometimes, but special interest seems like it's used more in the autistic community, and I don't want to intrude by using a term meant for a specific group by generalizing.

Hello! I’ll try to explain as best as I can! I will be covering the terms: Special Interest, Hyperfixation, and Hyperfocus in this! #longpost

Additionally, I will be discussing their mutual use in Autistic and ADHD circles, and talk about whether or not any of the terms are exclusive to one or the other.

Special Interest (SI):

Definition:

  • To have a deep, intense, passionate and incredibly focused/narrowed interest in a certain area of study, subject, topic or thing - to the exclusion of other interests. This interest is something that exists for the long-term, most often lasting for multiple months, years, or even you’re entire life! Less commonly they’ll last a couple weeks, but that’s just as valid as others!

More Info.:

  • “Special interest” defines the interest, and the degree of our involvement/commitment to it!
  • SI’s are usually very studious-oriented, and I don’t mean this as in they’re academic, but as in we want to learn everything there is to know about them! We’ll research and gather information for hours upon hours just for the enjoyment doing so brings!
  • SI’s are also typically sensual experiences as well - positive ones! They overwhelm our senses with joy and happiness, fill us with such enthusiastic and heart-wrenching emotion! We Autistic folk often have SI-related stims!
  • Allistics might look down upon our passion for our SI because it is something inconsequential to them, like ladybugs, but we love it anyway!

Analogy:

Exclusivity:

  • Debatable*. But to be safe, it would be wise to assume that it/the term is Autistic-exclusive! If you are neither Autistic or ADHD you definitely should not use the term!

*Some people think it should be exclusive due to the historical-presence of the term predominantly in Autistic communities, and others believe it to be experienced by both Autistic and ADHD people - Autism and ADHD are “sister” developmental disabilities/disorders, and there is a lot of overlap. Overall, though, ‘special interest’ is most commonly used in Autistic-circles!

Hyperfixation:

Definition:

More Info.:

  • With some believing that special interests are Autistic-exclusive, @deathbecoming wanted to prevent the appropriation of the term and instead created one that could be used by allistic neurodivergent people to describe their experiences similar to special interests, etc..

Analogy:

  • N/A

Exclusivity:

  • Created only for use by those who are developmentally, intellectually, and/or mentally disabled.

Note:

  • Though it wasn’t the original intent, the term “hyperfixation” has kind of evolved specifically into a verb for the act/subject of ‘hyperfocus,” which has then led many to believe that it is ADHD-exclusive – this is not the case!

Speaking of!

Hyperfocus

Definition:

  • To focus intensely on something for a short-term period of time without break to the exclusion of all other things — This is to the point that you won’t process what’s going on around you, adhere to your bodily functions/needs (sleep, hunger, using the restroom), homework/tasks, your hobbies/interests, etc..

More Info.:

  • One of the reasons why Hyperfocus is often attributed as ADHD-exclusive is due to its unpredictability — You may not always have control or awareness over what you’re hyperfocusing on, or even that you are, it can just happen.

Analogy:

Exclusivity:

  • Neurodivergent people only! Both ADHD and Autistic people can definitely use this term, and it is most predominantly used in those circles! While Neurotypical people can experience a similar thing to hyperfocus, it is most often called “Being in The Zone” or “Getting Into the Flow” and isn’t the same thing.

TL;DR:

Special Interest:

  • Used most in Autistic circles, in reference to Autistic people
  • Describes the type of interest (very intense, passionate, and narrow)
  • Describes our commitment to it (long-term commitment, ranging from months to lifelong, to the exclusion of other interests)

Hyperfixation:

Hyperfocus:

  • Used by anyone who is Neurodivergent, most often seen in Autistic/ADHD circles
  • To focus intensely to the exclusion of all other things (includes bodily functions/needs, processing of the world around you, etc.)
  • A short-term commitment, typically lasting under 10 hours and not always by choice

Verdict:

As you’re ADHD you can definitely use the terms Hyperfixation and Hyperfocus! If, after reading this, you think the term Special Interest applies to you, you can use it as well! Just be aware that some people may disagree with your use of it!

Note: Additionally, I think it is good to tell you that ADHD cannot be “minor” or “severe” — You’re either ADHD or you’re not! It may be more difficult or easier for someone to manage how their ADHD symptoms positively or negatively impact their life,  but that is a different thing!

This “Scale of Functionally” (in comparison to Neurotypicals) doesn’t truly exist, and believing that it does is actually quite problematic and harmful. It is often weaponized — Used to invalidate and discredit the experiences of other ADHD people, make one seem “better” or “lesser” (more/less Neurotypical) then the other, decide who isn’t or is “truly worthy” or resources, etc..

I do not say this to insult or hurt you, though! As you are just now discovering that you’re ADHD it is only logical that you would not be aware of all the little intricacies like this. I do not blame you!

Overall, thank you for being both so self-aware and considerate to send this message! It goes to show how kind you are that you wish to educate yourself to make sure you’re respectful of others and the terminology for their disabilities/etc.. Good job!
