i want my olympics back

frenchswissborder  asked:

In the Olympics AU who plays which sport?

Okay, so I’m still debating some of these, but here’s what I have now (for summer olympics AU, at least, and some of them have reasoning and others I just put there because I like it):

Percy and Jason: swimming
Annabeth and Piper: gymnastics
Hazel: equestrian
Leo: table tennis
Frank and Thalia: archery
Charlie and Clarisse: weightlifting
Silena: boxing
Travis and Connor: relay
Nico: fencing
Reyna: volleyball

i know exactly how much zyrtec is in the house at all times. currently, zero. found the last one in the bottom drawer of my bathroom sink.

anti-inflammatory herbs: plantain - nettle. how to open a jar too tightly closed: use a rubber glove to get a better hold on the lid.

mostly — what has life become lately! an endless series of movements. yesterday, i gave myself a moment of stillness. the emotions that returned to me — rage, mostly. frustration, anger, sadness, an immense warmth centered towards nobody but myself. i let myself forget — let myself forget how much how deeply i need to be alone for most of my time. i let my want to be around others surpass my need to remember my heart.

i want to be back on the olympic coastline — i want to be in that bowl-of-milk-of-fog. i want to wake up to the tide three feet away from the tent, lapping at the rocks, hissing at us. i want to eat field roast by the fire — want to drink mugwort tea harvested from the slopes behind us, and fall asleep exhausted to the sound of the ocean. dreamless dreamless sleep. a sweet plum of a person curling their hand around me.

but i feel hissy. don’t want to be touched. but i feel tender. want to be felt.

i don’t know how to navigate my need to be sterile and alone, falling into a place of introspection — not wanting to speak to any single body — feeling too sensitive and too angry — with the softness of getting to know someone — like, really really getting to know someone. how to curl and unfurl at the same time. let me know if you know.
