Word Count: 345
A/M: Thanks for the requests, and I’d link the prompt list but I kind of lost it 🙃
You heard the door open and heard him call out your name, “Where are you?”
You peered around the corner from the kitchen and walked over to him, “I’m here”, and you leaned in and kissed him, “But why are you here?” You saw the look on his face as he raised an eyebrow, “What’s with the look?”
“Your mouth tastes like gingerbread”, he said with a laugh.
You exhaled into your hand and smelled it and determined just how strong the gingerbread smell was on your breath.
“Whoa. You’re right.”
“Been eating some gingerbread cookies?” he asked with a laugh.
You smiled, “Glad you asked, follow me”, you said as you walked back to the kitchen.
He followed you into the kitchen as you showed him an array of different cookies on your table.
“I was busy baking yesterday, unfortunate you missed it. They were tasty and fresh.”
“You didn’t tell me you were making cookies!” he said sounding a little upset.
“I gave you a key for a reason, and you seemed to know how to use it today.”
“Whatever. But do you really need to have this much cookies. You know I love your baking but seems a bit much don’t you think babe?” he said looking around as he noticed more cookie trays.
You smiled, “They’re my gifts for everyone, and speaking of gifts…”
You walked over to the kitchen counter and picked up a Christmas tin filled with cookies and gave it to him, “Merry Christmas!”
He took the tin with a smile, “Thanks”, and you gave him a quick kiss.
“Don’t worry. I actually got you a gift… or two”, you said giving him a look and running your hand up his body.
He chuckled, “Did you call me over to give me cookies and a booty call?”
You laughed, “Well, I called you over to give you the cookies. But if you wanted something a little extra.” You said giving him a deep and serious kiss, hoping to get him in the mood. Safe to say, it worked.
