“Show me instead."

i say this every time, but seriously… read @tyranttortoise‘s Skeleton Squatters and the Landlady. this latest chapter is one of only innumerable reasons why it is forever in my top favorite fics, period.

… and talk about seeing fireworks with a kiss. <333 honestly red is my eternal weakness, and i’m not even mad about it.

John has to meet Sherlock for a case whose crime scene just happens to be on a roof. His first response is to panic. The last time he saw Sherlock on a roof…

John was already in the cab, and only a few minutes away, when Sherlock’s name finally popped up on his phone. John rolled his eyes. After multiple ring outs he’d resorted to texting Anderson of all people for the location of the crime scene. He considered not answering, as payback maybe, but held the phone to his ear all the same.

“Would you look at that? Only took me five tries. Shall we call that the new record, then?”

Sherlock payed no mind to John’s sarcasm (he rarely did) and simple pushed forward, “Brilliant case, John. Brilliant. Who’d have thought to use sunlight as the weapon? Sunlight. A bit of well-directed sunlight would do the job, yes, of course-”

John laughed softly, shaking his head as Sherlock rambled on, “Yeah, of course. Why not.” He sandwiched the phone between his shoulder and cheek, listening while counting bills for the cabbie. He cut Sherlock off somewhere between recounting the effects of UV Rays on skin cells, “Where shall I meet you then?”

There was a beat, “You aren’t here?”

John slammed the door shut with a little too much enthusiasm at that, “What? No. Why did you think I’m calling you?”

Sherlock started to speak then stopped. John could picture the frown that was surely now set in place, “I was just talking to you…” Sherlock mumbled.

“Well, do you mind a bit of a repeat?”

Sherlock huffed, “Hate repeating myself. But you’ll be no use if uninformed, so, I suppose. The primary evidence wa-“

“Not now. Jesus, just tell me where to meet…”

“John?” Sherlock sounded more annoyed by John’s sudden lack of voice than concerned. He huffed, “We didn’t loose service, this is a prime spot. I’m on a roof for god sake. I can also hear you breathing. John, hello?”

John felt as if the air had been kicked from his lungs. The feeling was a sudden, horrid squeezing that he hadn’t expected. He could see Sherlock very plainly on said roof. He could pick out the way his coat flapped around him even from below. Sherlock was stood near the edge, hand pressed to the cement ledge, forensic people milling about him. Much too close to the ledge. John squeezed his eyes shut, and suddenly Sherlock was standing on the ledge, arms out, falling forward-

He opened his eyes. Sherlock was behind the ledge, not falling, phone still held to his ear. He blinked and he was falling again. John stumbled forward.

“Sh.. Sherlock, don’t-“ His words gave out to a gasp of air, and his feet were carrying him forward at a run, “Don’t-“ He tried again.

“Don’t? Don’t what?” John watched as Sherlock turned, swore he could see the confused squint. His heart lurched. He was facing the ledge now. Totally oblivious to how it looked.

“Don’t move. God, don’t move.”

John took the stairs two at a time. The elevator would be too slow, and he wasn’t sure his heart could handle that right now. You’re being irrational his mind told him, and yet his heart thudded and images of fallingfallingfalling played behind his eyelids.

He burst through the roof door, gasping and zeroing in on Sherlock immediately. Sherlock’s eyes found him just as quickly, but it couldn’t have been that hard with the speed at which John was coming at him.

Sherlock held his hands out in a frustrated manner, “What is the point of phone calls if you aren’t going to-“

The rest of his sentence got lost in John’s hands fisting the collar of his coat and yanking him away from the cement barrier, the only thing separating them from air and space and fallingfalling

Sherlock’s composure crumpled for just a moment, utter surprise breaking through at the contact. His hands came up to cover John’s as they stumbled, John nearly slumping against him. Sherlock stared hard at him, mind reeling:

Hands shaking. Anxiety. Cheeks flushed. Usually embarrassment but given trembling most likely also anxiety.

“Just- don’t stand there will you? God, just-“ John pulled Sherlock closer to himself by his jacket rather harshly, “Jesus..“ He bowed his head slightly, desperately trying to control his breathing.

Sherlock tried to steady John, tried to figure out what was wrong, assessing the situation. He added John’s sharp breathing to the list.

John had run right to him so clearly Sherlock was the source of this reaction. He backtracked to what he had said on the phone. The case. They’d only talked of the case. Not verbally triggered then.

General triggers for anxiety. They listed themselves, sparking through his skull. Verbal, Personal, Sensual, Locational-

Sherlock’s thoughts froze for a fraction of a second, then were sent reeling left, back to their phone call.

“Just tell me where to meet…”

Trail off. Tone change.

“I’m on a roof for god sake.”

Verbal and locational trigger all in response to…

His mind screeched to a halt.

“Oh, John…”

“I know.” John was breathing deeply in through his nose, fists still tight on Sherlock’s coat, “I know. I just- saw you there. Up. Near the- Jesus, I know it’s-“

“John.” John finally stopped trying to speak at the sheer softness present in Sherlock’s voice. It was so rare that he was sure he’d always stop when it made an appearance. He didn’t look up though. He could still feel an insufferable sting behind his eyes.

“I didn’t even think. I didn’t realize the… the weight of those particular- of this particular situation.” Sherlock’s fingers tightened fractionally around John’s where they had remained from Sherlock’s surprise, “I’m sorry.”

John took one more breath, exhaling harshly and then straightening, slowly letting go of Sherlock’s coat, “Right. No, it’s fine. I should be able to be on a roof with you. This is… ridiculous. Sorry.” He huffed again, blinking and finally looking up at Sherlock, “Right. Okay, the case. Sunlight, UV rays or- something, what were you saying? Shall we take a look-“

John stopped again, closing his eyes briefly at the feeling of cool fingers catching around his wrist. He looked back at Sherlock, hoping his eyes didn’t show how hard his heart was still pounding. “C’mon then.” He tried. His voice cracked a little.

“I wouldn’t. Again. You don’t have to worry.” He was taken aback by the look on Sherlock’s face. So close to desperation, “John, I don’t want you to ever think I’d… leave… you.” He seemed tentative at his choice of words. “Not intentionally. Please don’t worry.”

John stared for a moment, aware of Sherlock’s hand still around his, aware that he was real and standing before him. He was hit again with what still felt like an unreal, monumental second chance with the man who he never expected to mean so much to him.

“I’m always going to worry.” He shook his head, offering a smile that was half pain half relief, “Sherlock. I’m always going to worry.”

Sherlock let John lead him back to work this time, images of bonfires and bomb vests consuming his thoughts.

He’d always worry too.

(I. love. them. God. Thank you to this fic for finally breaking my writers block THANK YOU)

A Malfunctioning Relationship

Summary: Bucky’s arm malfunctions during an intimate moment, almost injuring you. So he decides to go to a fellow engineer teammate for help. He really wishes he hadn’t.

Pairing: Bucky x Reader

Word Count: 2426

You wake up with a metal arm and a human arm wrapped around your waist. You smile to yourself and turn over to look at your boyfriend’s sleeping face. He feels you move and squeezes his arms tighter around you.

“Don’t leave yet. I’m not letting go.” He mumbles. You chuckle and brush the hair out of his face. He places his hand over yours so it cups his cheek.

“Buck, you know we have training today, right? You keep staring at me while you’re supposed to be shooting the enemy. We can’t have another London incident. What if Steve hadn’t been there?”

Bucky opens an eye and smiles. “I can always count on you or your brother to save my ass, now can’t I?”

You remove your hand from his face and lightly hit his chest. “Yeah, well you still need to work on it. Sometimes it’s weird how much you stare at me.”

Bucky raises an eyebrow. “Oh, I thought that dating someone for a year meant unlimited staring time, doll.” A seductive glint flashes across his eyes and he waggles his eyebrows. “Guess I’ll have to pay extra for that?”

You roll your eyes and try to escape his grip. “You know Tony has the vitals and condition of everyone in the tower, right? I don’t want Thor barging in here again asking why our hearts were beating ‘unnaturally fast’ again.”

“He likes you. I’m sure he’ll listen to your explanation.”

You glare at him but he just smiles, moving so that he’s on top of you. In this position, you stop trying to get free and stare up into Bucky’s eyes. He does the same and you wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him in for a deep kiss. His human arm cups your cheek and his metal arm is next to your head, supporting his weight. You start weaving your fingers through his long hair when you hear a weird mechanical sound. You pull away, confused, looking at Bucky. He’s about to say something when he crashes down on top of you. He quickly rolls off and you cough. He gives you a worried look, hoping you’re okay. You cough again and sit up.

“Well, that was an experience.” You said gently rubbing your collarbone area.

“An experience!? I fell on top of you! Oh my god, I’m so sorry! Do you need medical attention? What if I broke you!?” He says incredulously. You ruffle his hair and shake your head. “It’s okay, Buck. I’m fine. Just a little winded.”

He sits up and puts his head in his hands, struggling to fully move his metal arm. He looks down at the limb and tries to find out why it isn’t working. You’re discretely trying to catch your breath, so that Bucky doesn’t worry any more than he is already. You steady your breathing and turn to face your distressed boyfriend.

You gently pull his metal arm away from his face and he looks up at you. You give him a reassuring smile and lay it across your lap. You trace your fingers up the entire length of the arm, but don’t see anything wrong with it or out of place. You reach the part where the metal meets flesh and you hesitate to examine the area. Bucky gives you a small nod before you continue. You gingerly graze your fingers over the area and see a small wire poking out between the two different parts of his arm. You accidentally brush over it but don’t realize it until it’s too late. Bucky’s arm jerks and you feel a blow to the stomach. You slide back a few inches on the bed and immediately clutch your stomach. Bucky frantically looks at you and then at his arm.

“Shit! Okay, I’m not going to lie, that actually did really hurt.” You say groaning.

“Alright, I need to go and find Stark so he can fix this. I don’t want to beat you up anymore.” Bucky says getting off the bed. He comes to the other side and kisses your forehead.

“That’s probably a good idea. I’ll go with you.”

“No way, not in your condition. Just get some rest okay? I’ll figure it out.” He says leaving the room.

You sigh and sit against the pillows. Your stomach and chest do still kind of hurt. You laugh to yourself, not surprised how this morning has turned out. You and Bucky seem to have a lot of issues when it comes to suggestive romantic situations. On Monday, Tony decided to test new fire-resistant materials for the team’s suits.

It was 3 a.m. You and Bucky had just gotten back to the tower, returning from a successful mission. You figured no one would be awake, so you two barely got out of the elevator with any clothes on. When you finally made it to the bed, the sprinklers started going off and there were robots with fire extinguishers bursting into every room. It turned out Tony fell asleep and found out that the newest material he was testing was, in fact, not fire-resistant.

The week before, you and Bucky thought you two were alone in the tower since everyone else was seeing a movie.

Feeling full of adrenaline, you and Bucky flew at each other on the couch in the main floor living room like you had magnets in your clothes. That’s when your night was ruined by Tony’s tech, again.

“Mr. Stark would like me to deliver a message.” FRIDAY announces. “Alright kids, don’t think Uncle Tony doesn’t check up on the tower when he’s not there. He also specifically checks to see if people are doing it on his couch and he really doesn’t appreciate that. In other words, get a damn room and skedattle!” Tony said, his face appearing on the giant plasma screen.

You’re starting to fall asleep but the sound of your brother yelling your name alerts you. You roll over and see a frantic Steve Rogers in your doorway.

“Steve, what are you yelling for?” You groan burying your face back in your pillow.

He looks at you confused. “Why do your body statistics say you’re injured? You look like you haven’t even left your room today.” He says leaning against the door frame.

“Gee thanks bro, that’s because I haven’t. Bucky’s arm malfunctioned this morning and he may or may not have accidently fell on me.” You say lifting your head as your cheeks redden.

“He, fell on you?” Steve asks slowly.

“And he may have accidently punched me in the stomach too.” You say sheepishly.

“He punched you in the- you realize that he could’ve seriously hurt you right? He’s bigger and stronger than you, I mean, I can’t even take a punch from his other arm without having to take a break. And not to mention, he-”

“Wow, loving the sympathy, Steve. Thanks for that. I thought Captain America was supposed to be more empathic than this.” You say cutting him off. You shift uncomfortably and rub your chest again. Steve doesn’t miss this but says nothing.

“Yeah, well there’s an exception when it comes to sisters. It says in the handbook.” He says coming over and sitting on the edge of the bed. You move to sit next to him.

“Yeah? Well you just have to remember that next time I beat you in sparring like yesterday.” You say nudging his shoulder.

“That wasn’t a fair fight anyways. You didn’t have the sun in your eyes the whole time. But joking aside, are you okay?”

You’re about to answer but you start coughing right before you say it. Steve frowns at you and looks up at the ceiling.

“FRIDAY? Can you send a doctor in here please?”

“One has just been notified, Mr. Rogers.”

Your coughing fit stops and you shake your head.

“Steve, I’m fine. Trust me.”

“No, you obviously are having some respiratory issues. I’m sure the doc will tell you something that will help.” He says rubbing your back.

“Well what seems to be the problem Buckaroo? What can my genius mind do for you today?” Tony asks Bucky, who’s sitting on a table in his lab.

“Why do you have to be the only one who can help me?” He mutters to himself. “There’s a wire close to where the metal bonds with flesh that’s sticking out. It makes my arm go all crazy and I can’t control it.”

Tony gets out some tools and steps closer to him. “Hmm, let’s see what it will show me. Mind giving me a hand? Maybe an arm?”

“Stark, I hate you.”

About half an hour later, Tony is all done with Bucky’s arm. He had to take some of the plating off of the arm to get to the problem, but there were no other hitches. “Okay Furiosa, everything should be fine and dandy now. Just don’t put too much strain on it maybe for the next hour. Some of the skin where I was working got irritated so I’m going to find something to put on it from in Bruce’s lab. You can go back to your missus, I’ll bring it up to you later.” Tony says patting the metal arm.

Bucky nods and gets off the table. “Thanks Stark, I owe you one.”

“Yeah how about next time we’re in London you don’t almost let me get shot because you’re ogling your girlfriend.” He says, his mouth in a straight line.

Bucky shrugs, “Steve had you covered. Besides, what good is that tin can you step into if it can’t withstand one shot?”

“Of course it can! But it really felt like all of our team building exercises were a waste.”

“I’m sorry Stark. Tell me when more team exercises are happening though, they’re so fun.” Bucky says sarcastically. He exits Tony’s lab and starts to head towards the exit. A booming voice stops him.

“Ah, Mr. Buchanan! What brings you down in these parts of the facility? Dr. Banner here is showing me some very interesting Midgard science that I’m not really understanding.”

Bucky turns and walks over to Bruce’s lab and hovers in the doorway. Thor is standing by a table with a microscope on it. Bruce is looking at computer screen behind the god. He turns and nods at Bucky.

“Thor, I’ve said this before, it’s Bucky.”

He looks confused. “Yes, but Stark said you prefer-”

Bucky shakes his head. “He was lying. Anyways, I just had some problems with my arm, but they’re all fixed now.”

Thor smiles brightly. “That’s excellent, Bucky! So it has been upgraded?”

“No, not quite, just fixed.”

“I’ve tried to offer upgrades to him before, Goldilocks, trust me.” Tony pops out of another room in Bruce’s lab holding multiple tubes of different lotions.

Bucky rolls his eyes and crosses his arms. “I’ve declined because I don’t want be your next project, Tony.”

The engineer shrugs and reads through the tubes he’s holding. “Oh c'mon I could do so much. Sure you don’t want a vibrating feature? I could do it right now.”

Bucky is about to answer but Thor interjects. “Wait, why would he want that feature? Am I missing something? Banner, can you explain it?”

Bruce’s head shoots up and he looks around nervously. “Uh…”

“Don’t worry about it Thor, he’s just joking. I’ll see you later with something for my arm, right, Tony?” Bucky says ready to leave the awkward situation as quickly as possible.

Tony is already walking back into the other room. “Yeah, yeah. I just need to find the right kind. There’s like 300 things back here.”

Thor looks like he’s not going to drop the topic of a vibrating arm, so Bucky turns and exits right away. He heads to the elevator and leans against the wall letting out a long sigh. When it stops, he walks to his shared quarters, ready to flop down on the bed and give you a cuddle.

He walks in the bedroom and finds where you were earlier, just sitting in bed. You’re scrolling through your phone but look up and smile at your boyfriend. “Hey. Did you get all fixed up?”

He comes and lays down with his head in your lap. “Yep. Tony is coming up later to drop off some sort of a lotion because the skin by my arm got irritated or something.”

You set your phone down and brush your fingers through his hair. “Well I’m glad you’re okay, love. Steve was in earlier freaking out about my vitals and stuff.”

Bucky looks up at you. “So you’re saying nothing new happened?”

You smile again and start a little braid in his hair. “Yeah, he called in a doctor to come take a look at my chest and stomach. But there was nothing wrong. I’ll just be a little sore for the next few days. No marks and no bruises. It’s like nothing ever happened.”

He closes his eyes and furrows his brows. “Yeah, but it did happen. I still feel guilty. I don’t like you being in any pain at all, doll.”

You lean down and kiss his forehead. He moves so he’s next you and you climb on him. “I’m a fighter Buck. Besides, one little arm malfunction never would’ve killed me. It was an accident. No need to feel guilty.”

You kiss him again, this time on the lips. He pulls you closer, deepening it. His hands go from your back and travel down lower, pulling you up so you’re straddling him. Your hands are going towards the hem of his shirt when the inevitable happens.

“Mr. Barnes, Mr. Stark is arriving with the moisturizer you need.” FRIDAY says.

You reluctantly pull back and Bucky huffs out a very annoyed breath. “Damn you, Stark.”

You get off of your boyfriend and stifle a laugh. He stomps to the door and flings it open. Tony stands there with a bottle in his hand. He gives you a smile and you wave back.

“Here you go, heavy metal.” He glances down below Bucky’s waistband and lets out a laugh, handing him the bottle.

“Wow! Okay, here, take it! Looks like you needed it sooner than I thought. Bye lovebirds!”

Bucky looks down at the bottle and slams the door. He stalks back to the bed with a scowl on his face. You give him a confused look. He throws the bottle on the bed.

“It’s a bottle of lube.”

“Hello?” You answered; trying to sound casual and like you didn’t just have an emotional and sexual roller coaster.

“Hey! I sent you like a thousand gazillion messages.” Taehyung says over the phone cheerfully. “Are you ready? We’re like 5 minutes away.” It never failed to amaze you how quickly Taehyung could recover from an awkward situation, like when you rejected his hug or flat out denied his requests or jokes.

“Oh, uh, shit.” You say. You should really learn how to keep your thoughts to yourself. Jimin gets up from the couch and strolls casually to the kitchen, buttoning his jeans as he does.

“Isn’t she ready?” You hear a softer voice ask and peg it as Jungkook’s.

“So you’re not ready?” Taehyung asks you.

“Not- not exactly?” You say nervously.

“Tell her we’re not in a rush, we can wait.” Jungkook says. Is he always this sweet?

“Ok, that’s fine. We don’t mind waiting.” Taehyung repeats to you. “We’re like a block away, though. Can you open for us?”

“Oh, about that. I’m not home.” You start nibbling at your nails, feeling sorry even though you didn’t want to go to this party in the first place.

“Where is she?” Jungkook sounds curious but not at all annoyed.

“Where are you?” Taehyung, the middleman and the one who is clearly not driving, asks.

“At Jimin’s.” You knew you didn’t need to give directions. Taehyung knows the way.

“Jim- never mind. Just try be ready.” He says briskly and hangs up. What’s up with this guy?

“Choose Me” (ft. BTS)

Funny how the universe always finds a way of healing wounds and one of its greatest band-aids is time.

Three Years Later, New York City…
The scent of the air was definitely different, but the energy of New York is a different break from Seoul. You dragged your small suitcase behind you and searched for a familiar face in the sea of people who were also waiting for the other arrivals. You spot a petite figure holding up a cute card with your name on it.

She waves happily, “언니!”

You wave back and approached her with light steps. “Dachi! Long time no see!” You give her a one-armed hug which she returned gleefully.

“Ah, you’re really here! Feels like yesterday when we were  overthinking this whole trip.” She laughed as she expertly led you through the airport. “You have to tell me everything! Aren’t you starving? Wanna grab a quick bite first or should we go straight where your boyfriend is?”

“He can wait. I need some food in my system.” You chuckled, while you did miss him, food comes first. “So… How’s New York? You look like you’ve adjusted pretty well over the year.”

Dachi shrugs pompously and you ruffle her hair. “I’m still me but if it weren’t for your English lessons, I would’ve evaporated.” She hails a cab and you quickly give directions to your boyfriend’s shared flat where you will be staying for the next two weeks. “There’s a really great pizza place near the flat. You should eat nothing but New York pizza today. I’ll treat you!”

You laugh and look out the window, suddenly recalling how your strange friendship with Dachi began. After the whole ruckus, Dachi had gone back to school and established her fame as a genius pianist in the university and Jin, being the nosey pants that he was, assigned you to cover Dachi’s story for one of his final student council projects. You learned then that she was just young and prone to stupidity and that you were being petty for harboring a grudge against a person who only loved to the point of insanity.

Apologies were made, introductions were properly redone and the rest was history.

You were so lost in the memories that you hadn’t noticed that you’ve arrived.

“You have a key, right?” Dachi asked as you two ascended the stairs. She left you to grab something in her flat which was only two floors above your boyfriend’s.

You took in the idyllic room, remembering his strict instructions not to open the blue door on the right because that was his roommate’s room and go to the white one on the other side instead. Twisting the door open, you smiled at the immediate sight that greeted you. The room was simple and bright, much like his personality. On the bed was a bear wearing your shirt and a bouquet of peonies.

You set your bags in a corner and went to his desk,. Finally recognizing the background, as you stood by it, that you’ve seen through countless video calls. Framed pictures of your selcas with him and that one artsy shot of you looking at each other taken by Hoseok’s girlfriend. You invited yourself over to the bed and took out the card from the peonies.

‘Ah… I have to say something romantic, but I want to see you as soon as possible, so get out of the house now.’ It said and you laughed like a lunatic.

“Y/N-unnie, let’s go! We’re going to be late.” Dachi’s voice rang through the apartment and you immediately grabbed your carry-on bag to meet her in the hallway. You linked your arms with her as you descended into the streets of downtown New York once more and though Dachi frowned at your choice of pizza, she chatted animatedly about her life in New York and her stint as a pianist for the New York City Ballet Orchestra as you both walked towards your next destination.

“Oh, by the way, Yoongi sends his regards. I guess it’s his way of saying, ‘Hi, I’m fine. Hope you’re doing okay.’” You cut through her story about missing japchae and k-pop. You saw how she tried to hide the blush that crept on her cheek. It was undeniable that she was still crushing on Yoongi after all these time.

“D-Did he really say that?” she sputtered out as you crossed at an intersection.

“Gosh, you’re so cute.” You remarked and she shot you a look before you finally said, “Yes! He’s sending his regards, but I hope you don’t get your hopes up ‘coz he’s dating someone.”

“Wh-Who said I was getting my hopes up?” she huffed and let go of your arm pretending to be mad as she walked ahead of you.

You rolled your eyes and chuckled under your breath, pulling out your phone to send a quick text when you bumped into someone, briefly losing your balance until the other person steadied you.

“Y/N?” His deep voice was as alluring as he tried to meet your eyes.

“Namjoon! What a coincidence, I was just about to text you.” You both exchanged a friendly embrace before pulling away to take in each other’s appearance. He was in a dapper suit with his signature glasses and sleeked back hair. “You look great!”

“Really?” He averted your gaze easily, the way he always did when he received compliments, and flashed you a dimpled smile when he recovered. “Thanks, so do you! It’s great to see you here in New York, Y/N and congratulations on landing that job by the way, I knew you’d get it.”

“I wouldn’t have gotten it without your help, Joonie.” You laughed, the old nickname immediately surfacing without a hint of awkwardness.

“What help? It was pure coincidence, but makes me think how small the world is. When my girlfriend saw your resume, she simply asked me out of chance and how can I not put in a good word for you after everything we’ve been through?” he shrugged, taking a sip out of a coffee cup that he’s been holding.

“You mean how I slaved under your office during senior year, Mr. President? You know what, looking back, you do owe me a few things.” You teased and he easily snickered along. “Anyway, let’s catch up soon? I’ll be going to the company to sign a few papers on Monday anyway.”

“Yeah, sure! Just let me know. I’m busy with transferring to the new firm and all that, but I can make time.”

“Okay, see you around.” You passed by each other, but when you were a few paces ahead, you turned around and called, “Hey, Attorney Kim!”

He turned to look at you with an amused smile at his newfound nickname, “I’m not an attorney yet!”

“You will be!” you held up your best ‘fighting’ pose and he shook his head in embarrassment. When he already pivoted on his way, you said in the sincerest manner, “Thank you for being my friend, Namjoon-ah.”

Suddenly, you felt Dachi grab your elbow and drag you in the opposite direction, “Let’s go! You’re so slow.”

In a matter of moments, moments that didn’t prepare you at all for the sudden influx of emotions, you were sitting in front of a stage where hours later, a huge winter gala will be held. Dachi winked at you and beamed as she sat on the piano bench. The lights dimmed and the music played for the rehearsal of one of New York’s finest dance companies. Your heart was drumming a faster rhythm than the piano accompaniment and your fingers were twitching in anticipation until finally, you saw him.

With his silver hair and fair skin, his dainty fingers… all clad in black as he flew onstage where he always felt like a thousand miles away and yet, you knew that’s exactly where he belongs. He didn’t belong to you, he never did. You were someone whose hands he held along the way and when the time came, you were the first to set him free.

And yet there you were because you said you can wait. When the music came to an end, he didn’t even spare a second and jumped off the stage, barefoot and short of breaths. He closed the distance between you in three, easy strides and gathered you in his arms to kiss you. You tried to meet him halfway, launching yourself towards him and wrapped him tight in your embrace.

His kiss was as sweet as that first drunken night years ago and your veins sung for his name as you both inhaled each other’s scent.

Park Jimin, Park Jimin, Park Jimin… your head went completely white and only his passion-colored name was imprinted in your thoughts as he kissed you deeper, his tongue caressing yours in an urgent manner. He would not have pulled away if the dance company and the orchestra hadn’t started applauding. Most of them hollering in disbelief at how cute, bubbly Jimin was locking lips with a girl they’ve never met before.

Goosebumps covered your arms when his eyes met yours. “Hi.” He barely said in his sweet tone before he went in for another kiss. “Y/N, my Y/N, you’re here.” He chanted against the crook of your neck as held you close. “I missed you so, so much. I can’t believe you’re finally here with me.”

You could tell from the way his voice cracked that he was close to tears while you were already shedding them. “You’re so clingy. We just haven’t seen each other for one and a half year…” You muttered against his chest. “…one and a half year that felt like it was 10.”

“I know, finally.” He kissed you again then kissed your forehead. “Finally, I’m right where I belong.”

“Here in this hall?”

“No, with you.” You laughed at his cheesy remark, but your heart swelled at the thought that he was longing for you as much as you were longing for him. “You’re home, my own personal home.”

“Welcome home, then, love.” You smiled and he wiped your tears away.

“I’m home.”

And when the lights, the music, the glitter and the noise of New York City died down that night, you only listened to the sound of each other’s heart as you lay in bed, skin to skin, lips to lips.

You chose a path and you were glad that it led to that one exact moment in the lifetime of moments you wish to share with Jimin.

She knows she could have easily just put the box down but she couldn’t be bothered to bend down and pick up the heavy box again. The struggle. Was. Real. Managing to balance the box on one hand was not an easy task.

“Do you need some help?”

Y/N turned her head to see a boy her age. He was standing by the front of his door. The girl weighed her options (she also noted that said boy was incredibly cute) before giving in.

“Uh, yeah, if you could just hold this for a minute while I get my keys, that would be great.” She gave a shy smile. Peter Parker’s heart raced. Y/N’s smile, though, small was absolutely stunning. He froze for a moment before moving towards her. “Be careful. It’s kind of heavy, don’t want you getting hurt so just a little warning.”

Her concern for a complete stranger fed Peter’s growing attraction.

Montgomery De La Cruz x Reader: Go on, I dare you Part 2

A/N: I really hope you guys like it and don’t worry there will be a part three and I know there isn’t a lot Monty in this imagine but there will be in the next part. Also if you haven’t read part 1 yet please go and read it Part 1

It didn’t take long for everyone at liberty high to find out about your and Montgomery’s break up it seemed like the most important thing that had happened that day.

“Oh my god Y/N is it true that you broke up with Montgomery?” Courtney asked you at lunch.

“Yes! I broke up with him why is that so hard to believe. Seriously people is this really the most important thing that happened today.” You snapped because you were sick of hearing that question.

“Wow sorry I asked.” She said looking down.

“Sorry but everyone had been asking me today and I’m just getting sick of it. I just wanna forget about it.” You said looking at her with an apologetic look on your face.

“I get it but you know how people are at this school.” She said looking back up at you.

“Yeah I know but I just don’t get why so many people are surprised we broke up.” You said as you moved your food around on your plate.

“Well the two of you have been a couple for a long time and I mean your relationship was really strong. I actually couldn’t believe that the two of you broke up.” She said smiling sadly at you.

You sighed and just looked down at your food. It was already bad enough that you broke up with the person you loved and that he didn’t even care, that you didn’t need to hear how great your relationship was. Lucky for you he was suspended for three days so you had three days to get over him. That day when you got home you just ran into your room and broke down. You had never cried that much in your life. The next day you really didn’t feel like going to school you just wanted to lay in your bed and keep crying. Lucky for you your parents had already left for work and you could just stay home. You sent a text to Alex to tell him you were staying home today, he tried to tell you that he was coming over to stay with you but you were able to convince him not to skip school. You just spent the entire day looking at pictures of you and Montgomery and crying. You noticed the Letterman jacket laying on your chair and were debating to go over to his house to give it back to him but you couldn’t do it not now at least. The day after that Alex came to your house so that you could walk to school together.

“So how you holding up?” He asked as you were walking towards school.

“Good I guess.” You said with a shrug.

“How about we do something after school. Let’s go to Monet’s or something.” He said trying to cheer you up.

“Look Alex it’s really sweet of you that you’re trying to cheer me up but I’d rather just come home after school.” You said as you walked into the school building.

“It’s okay I get. But if you’re up for it just let me know.” He said as he walked away to his locker.

You walked to your locker and was busy putting some books from your backpack into your locker when Zach walked up to you.

“What do you want Zach?” You asked him turning around to look at him.

“Please talk to Monty.” He said looking down at you.

You just rolled your eyes and turned back to your locker.

“Look he’s not doing so well okay. He hasn’t eaten since the two of you broke up he hasn’t stopped crying. When he comes over he tries to act like he’s fine but you can see that he’s not. We’re all really worried about him. Please just go and talk to him.” Zach said with worry and hope in his voice.

“I don’t know Zach. I can’t say that I don’t care about him because I do but I just don’t know if I can take him back.” You said looking down.

“Hey nobody said anything about you taking him back I just asked you to talk to him. He needs it and you need it.” He said crossing his arms.

“Okay fine I’ll talk to him.” You said closing your locker and walking away.

After school you went home to put away your backpack because you didn’t want to talk to him with your backpack. Honestly that was just you making up an excuse to try and come up with something to say to him. Before you walked out of your room you saw his Letterman jacket again and decided to take it with you. When you arrived at his house you took a deep breath before walking up to his front door.

“When was the last time you slept?” Izzy asks. Her arms folded across her chest and the look on her face is so reminiscent of their mother Alec has to physically shut his mouth before he answers her like he would their mother.

“I sleep,” he says instead but it sounds petulant even to his ears. He sighs and puts the pad to one side, shifting in the armchair to regain feeling in his numb limbs. The pins and needles that bloom in his legs are uncomfortable and leave him wincing. Alec’s eyes feel sore and he doesn’t need to look at the clock to know it’s obscenely late. He rubs at them, seeing bright sparks of light in a kaleidoscope pattern.

“Sure,” Izzy says pointedly. Her voice thick with judgement.

“I sleep,” he reiterates, this time with finality. Izzy ignores it and the look he sends her.

“Go and talk to him,” she says softly, entering the office. Alec sighs, his head falling forward.

“It’s not that simple,” he says.

Izzy scoffs on a bitter laugh, like she can hardly believe that after everything, after every step he’s taken, that he’s resorting to an excuse like this, “It is.”

“It’s not Izzy,” Alec says firmly but Izzy persists.

“Yes, it is,” she says earnestly as she quickly moves to perch on the edge of the coffee table in front of him. She grabs his hands, holding them tightly in hers. Izzy looks at him like if he could just hear her, really listen to what she was saying, then she’d convince him of the truth. “You’re the one making it complicated.”

But he wasn’t… and therein lay the crux of the matter.

Not stayin//Daryl Dixon

Info: reader is Ezekiel sister, therefore she is pretty high up in her ranking. When Daryl has to stay in the Kingdom, Ezekiel has her show him around.

Warnings: swearing, mentions of death, oral sex, smut

When y/n saw Daryl, she was intrigued. She knew that he was an Alexandrian and had no chance with him but a girl can dream. Jesus came here with Ricks group, they want us to fight Negan with them and the Hilltop. Ezekiel wasn’t with it, but y/n wanted to, that could give her an excuse to talk to him.

“Daryl, you should stay here” Rick says to Daryl.

Her heart skipped a beat. Daryl, staying here? Even for only a few days, she’d be fine. She concealed a smile that spread across her face as her brother and Daryl were nearby.

“I ain’t stayin here” Daryl refuses throwing his hand back, motioning at the Kingdom.

She looked up, she was disappointed. But then again, who can she blame? The guy wants to go home, it isn’t a crime. She looked to Ezekiel, he had no opinion on Daryl staying or not.

She opened her mouth to speak but Ezekiel quickly stopped her.

“He must make this decision for himself” He explained himself.

She nodded and let the scene play out. It ended with Daryl standing alone as the gates closed behind his friends. Morgan turned to Ezekiel.

“I’ve got class with Ben” He excused himself.

“Daryl,” Ezekiel spoke, he turned to the duo “y/n, my sister, will show you around and get you set up with sleeping quarters”

“I ain’t stayin long” Daryl spoke.

“Well you gotta sleep somewhere tonight” y/n spoke as she walked towards Daryl.

“Farewell my dear sister, see you at dinner, I’m expecting you bring Daryl”

“Of course” She said with a smile.

Daryl walked beside her as she led him to the laundry square. Piles and piles of clean folded clothes sat on tables, damp clothes hung on drying lines.

“This is where you’ll find any clothes you’d need, but I know,” She turned to him with a pile of clothes “You aren’t staying long”

He nodded with a smirk and a stifled chuckle. He walked next to her once again as she walked. He couldn’t really focus, but her voice was so pretty and so was her face. He kind of wishes he wasn’t leaving but Alexandria is home. She pointed and spoke, looking back making eye contact to see if he understood, he gave empty nods.

“W-why can’t you go home?” y/n asked looking straight ahead.

“Negan took me after killing two of my group, I escaped and they’re gonna be lookin for me real soon” He said, he said it with emotion, it was obviously a sensitive topic.

“I’m sorry” She whispered.

The air became still and silent as they walked. He held a pile of clothes while she picked him up a towel from a friend. She stopped once they reached his door, it was a room with an empty bed and not much else.

“Ezekiels your brother, huh?” He asked.

“Yeah” She agreed.

“Get him to stand up to Negan, try, if not for yourself, me”

She shifted on her feet “So you think I care about you?” She asked with a smirk.

Daryl shrugged, she handed him his towel, they brushed hands and she felt her face get hot. He gave her a nod and opened the door to go inside, y/n went to go to her room.

“Wait, y/n” Daryl spoke.

She turned to him.

“Wait for me? I won’t be long but you gotta show me to the dining hall, yeah?”

“Yeah, I do” She nodded with a smile.

“You can wait inside if ya want, I’ll change in the bathroom”

“Okay” She nodded and stepped inside.

He went into the bathroom while she took a seat on the bed. There wasn’t much to do while she waited except wait. Counting cracks on the wall, broken window panes outside and floor tiles. Count how many times someone walked past the window or the florescent light flickered.

The bathroom door opened and revealed a wet Daryl, towel low on his hips. She tried to keep her eyes on his face.

“Are you okay?” She asked him.

“Just forgot my clothes” He spoke timidly, he was unsure of whether he should come out or ask her to get them.

“I can get them” She said.

“Are you sure? I can if you don’t want to get up”

“No, it’s fine” She nodded and got up.

She picked up the piles of clothes and met him at the door. Hands touched once again and a look was exchanged.

“I, uh, thanks” Daryl stumbled over his words.

Y/n skipped the bullshit and kissed him. She hoped he’d kiss back and he did. He dropped his clothes and kissed her back. Their hands caught in one another hair. y/ slid her hand down his slick abdomen and underneath the towel. She grabbed his cock and he groaned into her mouth. They pulled away and y/n fell to her knees in front of him. She undid his towel and his cock sprung up. She smirked and looked up at him, he looked embarrassed but so turned on at the same time.

She wrapped herself around him and he threw his head back. She steadied herself with her hands on her lap, Daryl was holding onto the door frame behind him. She took him in until she gagged around him, as unattractive of a sound and sight, Daryl moaned out in pleasure.

“Fuck” He cursed from above her, one hand now wrapping into her hair.

He guided her up and down his cock, the top hit the back of her throat every time. Daryl moaning turned her on, her making him feel that good made her clench her thighs together for some kind of relief.

“Stop” He suddenly spoke and pulled her off of him.

She worried she did something wrong and looked at him with concern. He picked her up and moved her to the bed, laying her on her back. At this point she assumes she didn’t do that bad as Daryl was yanking her jeans down her legs. She lifted her hips to help him, he took them off along with her underwear and boots. Daryl positioned his face between her legs and got to it. His tongue exploring her, it had been so long anything would feel better than her hand at this point.

“Shit” She panted, her fingers in his damp hair.

Daryl continued to eat her out. He’d look up every now and then to see how he was doing and if she was satisfied. He eventually had to lay an arm across her hips to keep her from bucking. His scruff hit her thighs the right way, his nose wold bump her clit every now at then making her writhe beneath him. When he added fingers she was done. She pulled her head closer to her so he wouldn’t stop.

“I-I’m gonna come” She cried out.

“Not yet” Daryl spoke and stood up.

She was left on the bed, just for a moment. It wasn’t long before Daryl pushed himself deep inside her. Both of them now equally desperate for a release, Daryl wanted them to come once and together, after all, he wasn’t staying long. They had to finish up quick either way for dinner.

He was up on his elbows above her as he thrusted. Her body moved with every thrust, she held onto his shoulders for something to hold. She moaned and he grunted occasionally. Both finally excited to have someone to fuck after so long.

“Shit” He groaned as she clenched around him, signalling she was close. He lowered himself to her ear and told her,  “Come with me”.

She could only nod, her mouth agape and panting.

“Now” He spoke and they both came together.

After not having anything in so long, coming together was even better than one at a time. She sighed in relief as she finally got what she’s been needing, and the guy she got it from wasn’t too bad himself.

A knock on the door startled them, y/n rolled off the bed, grabbing her pants and hid on the ground while Daryl answered the door.

“Hello, Daryl. I am so sorry to interrupt you but I was wondering if you know whereabouts of y/n , dinner is soon and she isn’t in her sleeping quarters” Ezekiel asked.

“Nah, but she should be stopping by soon to show me to dinner”

“Okay, very well, I will see you then”

Daryl nodded and closed the door. He turned and sighed with a chuckle. y/n rose up shimming her pants onto her hips.

“What?” She asked.

“He always talk like that?” He spoke while pulling his shirt on.

“Yeah, it’s his thing. Goes with the title of King Ezekiel”

“That makes sense”

After dinner, Ezekiel pulled y/n aside. Daryl didn’t leave the table as he needed her to get around.

“Don’t get attached, he isn’t staying” He spoke.

“What do you mean?”

“I saw your shoes in his room, y/n”

“Oh” Her face turned red “You can’t blame me”

“Goodnight, dear sister” Ezekiel said turning around.

Y/n turned to the table where Daryl sat alone. The rest of the hall had cleared for bed. She sat across from him, she got sad knowing it wouldn’t last long.

“How many walkers have you killed?” Daryl asked.

“A lot”

“How many people?”

“To save myself. Why are you asking me all this?”

“I want you to come back with me, to Alexandria”

Daily reminder that you're one cool cat.

“Daily reminder that you’re one cool cat,” Stiles says, sitting next to Derek in the middle of the library.

Derek looks around, confused. The last time he checked, no one had ever referred to Derek as cool, let alone a cat (he wants to laugh at the irony) and the last time he double checked (yes he’s aware he’s pathetic, Laura, shut up) Stiles Stilinski, star athlete in both lacrosse and all you can eat curly fry competitions, did not know his name.

“Um,” he says, because what else are you supposed to say when someone like Stiles Stilinski sits down next to you in class? Derek isn’t too sure whether to blush or move away but his body quickly decides for him and he scowls, trying to hide the redness of his cheeks behind his book. His blush deepens, realising the book isn’t even part of the school curriculum - something Stiles will certainly know - but one from home: The Roman Invasion of Ancient Greece.

Derek should probably be relieved it isn’t his worn out copy of The Iliad with the semi homo-erotic cover Erica jokingly gave him for his birthday last year. Small mercies, he supposes.

Stiles grins. “I like it when you blush like that,” he says, boldly. “It’s adorable. Like, really adorable.” He laughs, then frowns, probably at the wary expression on Derek’s face. “Shit, I’m making you uncomfortable.” He looks genuinely concerned all of a sudden, brows knitting together, and Derek has to fight the onslaught of confused butterflies currently dizzying themselves in his stomach.

“Um,” he says again, blinking. “No?”

No, as in…please leave? Or no, as in…” Stiles winces, holding up his hands. “Neither option is good here, is it.” He sighs, swinging his  chair back. “I read that line in a book once. The cool cat thing. It was really effective, worked out well.” He scratches the back of his head, mumbling something that sounds like so much for practising in the mirror. “I don’t know why I thought it was going to work on you.”

Derek bites his lip, looking at the clock. He has exactly fifteen minutes before class begins. He’s not sure why that’s important, of all things, but it gives him a second to breathe, to think. He feels like he’s in a romantic comedy; he’s just not sure if he’s supposed to be the unlucky-in-love main character, or the unfortunate, cringe worthy side sick.

Derek knows Stiles is an asshole but he’s also seen how he goes toe to toe with Jackson Whittemore when he’s being a bully. Derek prays Stiles lives up to his reputation.

“Neither do I,” he whispers, after a moment. “History geeks like me don’t tend to like when people mock them with words like cool.”

Stiles frowns again, jerking round in his seat so fast it makes Derek jump. “Who said I was mocking you?”

“I didn’t say you were.”

“Yes you did.”

“Let’s just say it’s happened before,” Derek sighs, closing his eyes. “Come on, Stiles, you’ve never even talked to me before today. You either want something, like to copy my homework, or this is about to be some kind of embarrassing practical joke.” Derek’s heart sinks at the dawning realisation this just might be some kind of joke - why else would Stiles talk to him? - but the confused look on Stiles’ face offers him a little hope.

“Okay, one, I resent the homework comment, man. Not all jocks are dumb, you know. You’d want me on your team during a Zombie apocalypse. Fact.”

Derek flushes. “Sorry, I didn’t mean-”

Stiles shakes his head. “It’s fine.” He chews on his lip. It’s awfully distracting and Derek tries not to stare. If this is a joke, he doesn’t want to make things worse for himself by revealing things he’s done a pretty good job up until now keeping hidden, even from Boyd and Erica.

Eventually, Stiles stops chewing.

“You’re right,” he says. “I do want something.” Derek does his best to hide his disappointment. “I want to go out with you.”

Derek can’t help it, he laughs. “What?”

“You, me. A date.” Stiles shoots him finger guns, offering him a lopsided smile. It’s ridiculous and perfect and Derek can’t look away. He’d even go as far as to say literally. “And you’re wrong. I have talked to you before. Pre-school. I offered you some mud. You rejected it.”

Derek thinks back, raises an eyebrow. “It had worms in it. And how is here, Derek, hold this piece of dirt, talking to me?”

“I thought mud castles were romantic!” Stiles throws his hands in the air, flushing a little, nearly causing both himself and the chair to go flying. “I was crushed when you turned me down, dude. You broke my little heart. I thought I’d never love again!”

Derek’s eyes widen. “Love?”

Stiles rolls his eyes. “What. You telling me you never liked someone so much as a kid you were convinced you’d one day marry them?”

Derek shakes his head, then, feeling daring, reaches out to take Stiles’ hand. He’d feel smug about how sweaty Stiles’ palm is, if he wasn’t so aware his heart is about to beat right out of his chest.

“Maybe not convinced, exactly. More like…fantasised?” He lowers his gaze, shy, hoping Stiles doesn’t manage to infer fantasised actually means Derek has a wedding album stashed under his bed with cut out pictures of men in tuxes who look suspiciously like him. One cut out in particular has moles, lots of them, and Derek feels his cheeks redden further when he thinks about how many nights he’s spent looking at that page, specifically.

Stiles grins before standing up, reminding Derek less of a star athlete and more of a skittish deer, eyes wide. Derek bites the inside of his cheek.

“Wait, did this actually work?” he asks. “Did you just agree to go out with me?”

Derek looks out into the hallway. No one is there with cameras or phones. No one appears to be listening in. “This…really isn’t a joke?”

Stiles shakes his head, serious, crossing his heart. “Yoda’s honour.”

Derek smiles, snorting. “Okay then,” he whispers, shrugging, not too sure why he’s trying to act cool now since he’s still partially clutching his book, fingers trapped between the pages, afraid of losing his place. He really should invest in more bookmarks, especially since Erica keeps stealing his.

Great.” Stiles fist pumps the air, kisses Derek’s hand like this is a Jane Austen novel and not an American high school, and winks. “I am going to woo you so hard, Derek Hale. I’ve been waiting for this moment since I was five. I have plans. I have milkshake recipes and graphs! Top ten best dates, courtesy of the eighties!”

Derek has no idea what he’s talking about, watching as Stiles runs from the room. He ducks his head, pretty sure he’s not going to be able to stop grinning for the rest of the week as he hears the words, Scott, he said YES!!! ring down the hallway.

“Hey Cisco,” I looked up from my phone when my best friend walked into lab, focusing back onto the tiny lit screen.

“Hey Y/N. What’cha doing over there?” He tries to peek at my phone but I move away. “Just texting someone.” I smirked as he returned the same one with wiggling eyebrows.

“Ooo, soon to be Mrs. Allen.” He teased as I punched him on the arm playfully.

“Shut up, we’re just friends.” I felt my cheeks heating up.

Cisco was the only person who knew about my secret crush on Barry. Caitlin had her suspicions, but Cisco made sure it didn’t lead onto anything. Ever since I worked with the team and found out Barry was The Flash, my feelings grew stronger and stronger for him every day. He was so nice to me the first time we met, and he’s just so cute. Sometimes, I have the sudden urge to just hug him randomly whenever we work together. Of course, I don’t do that… He’d think I’m weird.

college/modern au: okay so hamilton is playing truth or dare with the hamilsquad and someone (probably lafayette) dares him to seduce thomas jefferson, hamilton's longtime rival and enemy - but to sweeten the deal, laf offers something that hamilton really wants (i.e. money, rent, etc.) if he goes through with the dare - cue the Messed Up Shit™ that is jamilton, and the dare goes horribly wrong when the two of them start to FALL for each other, etc.

This is going to be a two parter because I can’t stand leaving stories with unhappy endings.

Send me a prompt if you want me to write something for you! If you use a list just specify old list or new list.

“All right French Fry. Truth or dare?”

Lafayette gave his most mischievous grin and, because he had no fear, chose dare.

Hercules thought for a moment, stroking his goatee. “Hmmm, I dare you…” He glanced around the room for an idea. His eyes landed on John and lit up. “I dare you to switch clothes with John.”

Laf’s face was one of pure horror. John was wearing a paint-splattered hoodie that was three sized too big and baggy plaid pajama pants. Compared to Laf’s fashionable silk pajamas, John’s clothes were rags.

John stood up and smirked at Laf. “C'mon, Frenchy. You dug your grave, now lay in it.”

Laf swore in French and followed Laurens to the bathroom. They returned a few minutes later with John looking very comfortable and Laf very disgruntled. The hoodie was actually near the right size for him, but the pants were far too short. Laf kept pulling them down self-consciously, which did nothing to stop Alex and Herc’s laughter.

“This is humiliating,” Laf huffed as he sat down. He suddenly pointed a long finger at Alex, silencing the boy’s giggling.

“Mon petit lion. Truth or dare?”

Alex hesitated. He had to be cautious; when it came to Laf the choice might as well have been “reveal your darkest secret or face your worst fear.” He could feel the expectant looks of his friends, so he decided to just let his mouth run and see what came out.

Well that didn’t work out. Laf’s mouth curled into a malicious grin.

“I dare you,” Laf paused for dramatic effect, “to seduce… Thomas Jefferson.”

Alex screamed. Even Herc and John looked shocked.

“Woah, Laf,” John said. “That’s a little too far, don’t you think?”

“Yeah babe,” Herc agreed. “That was uncalled for.

“There’s no way in hell I’m doing that,” Alex said. He had never once had a pleasant conversation with Jefferson; he couldn’t imagine trying to… he couldn’t even think it.

Laf was not phased. “I will pay your share of the rent for the next two months. All you have to do is get Thomas to kiss you.”

Alex bit his lip and considered his options. He did need the money. His laptop had broken a week ago and with two months’ rent he could buy a really nice one. But was it worth kissing his mortal enemy? It was only one kiss. And Jefferson was objectively attractive, right? He could act like he thought so for long enough to get a kiss out of it.

“Fine. I’ll do it.”

Laf squealed, dropping his cool exterior. Herc and John let their jaws fall open.

“Alex, man, are you insane?” Herc asked at the same time John demanded, “Are you high?”

“You better make good on your end,” Alex said to Laf as he stood up. “This is the worst thing you’ve ever asked me to do. And I want to make this clear: I’m doing this for a new laptop.”

His friends followed him as he padded barefoot out the door. Jefferson and James Madison lived in the same apartment building as them, just a floor down. They took the stairs, then the others stopped as Alex turned the corner to Jefferson’s door. They hid where they could watch what happened without Jefferson seeing them.

Alex tried to figure out a game plan as he approached the door and knocked, but his thinking time was cut short when Jefferson opened the door, smirking and wearing nothing but pajama pants and a wife beater. His expression quickly fell when he saw who had knocked.

“Oh, it’s you,” he drawled, disinterested. “Would you mind keeping the noise down? I don’t appreciate all your screaming up there.”

“Sorry, my bad.” Alex tried to make his voice sound as pleasant as possible. The apology seemed to catch Jefferson off guard.

“Are you okay?” he asked. “You’re acting weird.”

“Yeah, I’m fine, I’m just,” Alex took a deep breath, hoping he sounded flustered. “Look, I don’t really know how to say this.”

Jefferson raised an eyebrow. “You? At a loss for words? Something really must be wrong.”

“Jeff—Thomas, I like you. Like, really like you.” Alex had to fight to not gag on the words. “I like… I like your hair and your muscles and how you’re the only one who can keep up with me in debates. And your laugh is really kinda cute and you’re so smart and I just like you okay?”

Alex was shocked at the words that had come out of his mouth. He had never thought of Jefferson in any of those ways before, but now that he had said them, he wasn’t sure he was lying. Jefferson was very intelligent, and Alex always enjoyed their debates. And now that he thought about it, his hair was pretty nice and his laugh was pretty cute, and wow, was he built.

Thomas’s face was as red as Alex’s. There was a hopeful gleam in his eyes, which confused Alex.

“Is it—Can I kiss you?” Jefferson asked quietly.

Alex nodded, surprised and Jefferson hesitantly moved in. Once their lips touched, he became less hesitant and Alex realized with horror that he was actually enjoying it.

“Wow,” Alex breathed when they pulled apart.

“Yeah,” Thomas agreed.

Alex started to move in for another kiss, but the mood was shattered by a loud “HOLY SHIT.”

Alex looked on in terror as his friends emerged from around the corner.

“I can’t believe you went through with it,” John said.

Lafayette shook his head. “I suppose you get your new laptop after all.”

Alex tried to wave them away, to do anything to get them to stop, but his words weren’t working. He turned back to Thomas, whose eyes were filled with hurt and possibly tears.

“Y-you said all that to get a new laptop?” he whispered.

“Thomas, I—”

Thomas shook his head and turned back into his apartment, closing the door to cut Alex off.

Alex turned back to his friends, who had fallen silent. For once Alex had nothing to say to them. He only gave them a disapproving shake of the head as he trudged past them and back to their apartment, where he locked himself in his and John’s room for the rest of the night.

The Heartache Pg3

Bendy’s eyes were wide when she said this. In love? With Boris? How? He was confused. He shook his head and laughed.

Bendy:“What? Me? Nah, nah, nah, that can’t be doll, you’ve seen me going after women.” She gave him a look.“What?”

Molly:“Bendy, you obviously care about Boris more than anyone else. You love being around him-I’ve never seen you so happy! He’s so sweet to you too! You both really seem to care about each other, so why not?” She shrugged. Bendy frowned and rolled his eyes.

Bendy:“That’s crazy.” He stood up and walked away. She quickly followed him.

Molly:“Bendy, you just told me you couldn’t focus on your dancing, your eating or anything else!”

Bendy:“So?” She began to skip.

Molly:“That’s how you know when someone really loves you.” He shook his head.

Bendy:“Yeah right. I can’t be in love with him, what would he think if I told him I loved him?” He shrunk a bit more. Molly shrugged.

Molly:“Maybe give him hints.” She said. Bendy looked away from her. He was quiet for a while as they walked through the park.

Bendy:“What’s the point though? He’s already in love with someone else.” She shrugged.

Molly:“Yeah…actually…he broke up with her, so you have a chance to find out if he loves you more.” He stopped and she skipped past him. This didn’t seem like a bad idea. Might as well give it a shot and see if he really was in love with the wolf or not. He quickly caught up to her and she stopped.

Bendy:“Okay, what do I gotta do?” She smiled brightly.

Molly:“Just be you Bendy. He’s still here isn’t he? If he didn’t like you for you he probably wouldn’t have came back to see you.” She had a point there. Bendy slowly smiled. Maybe this wasn’t such bad plan after all.

Bendy returned home feeling a little calm. Boris was cooking up dinner for the two of them. The two ate together.

Boris:“So, got any plans before Abella shows up?” Bendy chuckled.

Bendy:“Nah, I wanna spend all the time just being with you. If this plan works, I have a feeling she won’t let us see each other much again.” Boris frowned.

Boris:“Aw, I’ll be sure to write buddy.” He said with a small smile.“Oh yeah, did you ever find out what happened to my letters?” He asked. Bendy shook his head.

Bendy:“Nope. Whoever was suppose to deliver them must’ve got lost or something.” He shrugged.

Boris:“Hm…” The two continued eating.“Hey Bendy?” He looked up at the smiling wolf.“Thanks for being such a good friend. I couldn’t ask for a better pal.” The demon chuckled.

Bendy:“Well don’t go saying that, Abella’s got all the money and she can get you just about whatever you want.” He shrugged.

Boris:“Yeah, but she can’t get me anyone better than you.” He said as he touched his hand. All of a sudden Bendy’s face heated up and his tail curled. He looked in Boris’s eyes and smiled softly.

Bendy:“Heh…come on, save the charm for her buddy.” Boris chuckled. He looked down at their hands. Boris’s hand was still on his.“You know I’m really gunna miss you when you leave again.”

Boris:“Well, do I have to leave right away if I’m with Abella again?” Bendy shrugged.

Bendy:“I think she’d like that. She can’t seem to stand being around me.” Boris smiled a little.

Boris:“Well maybe if you had a chair with ya she probably wouldn’t mind.” The two laughed.

Bendy:“Boris, really?” He laughed. He didn’t seem to notice that he was holding Boris’s hand now.

Boris:“Haha, yeah….but really I’ll try and keep in touch with ya, and if I don’t get any letters from you I’ll just come back here and see what’s going on. How’s that?” Bendy nodded.

Bendy:“Yeah…okay. That makes feel a little better. I just hope Abella doesn’t get too mad at ya.” Boris rolled his eyes.

Boris:“Well then, that’s her problem. I should be allowed to see people I love right?” Bendy’s eyes widened and he could feel his face getting hotter.“Golly, you alright there Bendy?” He chuckled.“Your looking a little heated up.” Bendy tried to hide his face.

Bendy:“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine. It’s just a little hot in here is all.” Boris let his hand go and picked up his plate to put it by the sink.

Boris:“Wanna watch some T.V?” He asked. Bendy shrugged.

Bendy:“Sure.” He put his own plate in the sink and the two went into the living room and sat down on the couch. They were going through channels trying to find a comedy show. Then their show popped up. Their very first one. Boris grinned.

Boris:“Oh! I remember this! It’s been so long since we’ve watched our shows huh Bendy?” Bendy moaned.

Bendy:“Aw, this one? I never really liked this one. You were good in it though! I was just not in it that day.” He said as he shook his head.

Boris:“What? Come on buddy, you were great!” He nudged him a bit. Bendy chuckled. The two watched some old episodes they did together over the years. Bendy and Boris had some good laughs together. Then one of their musical shows came up and Bendy frowned. Boris was still smiling though.

Boris:“I remember this one, I think this is the first love song you wanted to sing.” He leaned back and put one leg over the other. Bendy crossed his arms and leaned back .

Bendy:“Yeah…” He shrugged. Too bad the cigar box was empty. He would’ve loved one right about now. He thought. Bendy, on T.V., was standing on the stage wearing a bow tie that sparkled.

~Someday when I’m awfully low,
when the world is cold, I will feel a glow just thinking of you…
and the way you look tonight.~

Boris was nodding his head as he listened.

Boris:“I was so focused on listening to you sing, I almost forgot to play my clarinet.” Bendy’s arms lowered onto his lap as he watched
himself on T.V. sing.“I wanted to hear you sing like this for a long time when we were working together. You weren’t really out of your shell much those days.” Bendy didn’t answer him, nor looked at him. The memories rushed back to him like a bolt of lightning. Just one of those things you wished you could forget and stay forgotten. Boris looked at him, his smile faded a bit.“I was really scared that day.” Bendy clenched his teeth. He remembered.“Heh, I thought this was going to be the last love song you would ever sing. You weren’t too interested in singing these songs. ”

~Yes you’re lovely, with your smile so warm
and your cheeks so soft, there is nothing for me but to love you,
and the way you look tonight~

Bendy stayed silent. His tail curled around his legs. He looked at Boris and frozed when their eyes met. Boris almost frowned when he saw the look of guilt in his eyes.

Boris:“Bendy? Are you alright?”

Bendy:“You don’t remember that day do you?” He finally spoke. He raised a brow.“Oh come on!” He yelled angrily which surprised Boris at the sudden change of mood.“You really don’t remember all the things I said to ya that day? How I treated you for the last two weeks during those days?!” He was on his knees trying to look down at the wolf but they were at the same height. Boris struggled to remember anything else that happened that day.“I was a major jerk! I treated you like you were suppose to do everything for me no matter what I did! I was acting like a selfish jerk, you really can’t remember all that?” The things he said, the lies he told him. Boris seemed to slowly remember some things. He itched his head.

Boris:“Yeah, I remember now.” He said simply. Bendy laughed but not happily.

Bendy:“How are you this kind to me after all that?!”

Bendy was smoking a cigar as he walked back and forth behind stage. Boris was walking towards him. He looked up and shot a glare at him.

Bendy:“There you are! About time! I thought I was going to have to cancel this how thing!” Boris frowned.

Boris:“Oh no! You don’t have to do that Bendy-”

“Don’t be late again, ya hear?” Bendy said as he pointed the cigar at him.“This is suppose to be my big day! We’ve got over two hundred people wanting to see me on stage tonight. I can’t have them thinking I’m some fraud! Do you?” Boris shook his head.

Boris:“No, of course not!” Bendy crossed his arms.

Bendy:“Well then why are ya goofing off somewhere else instead of being here prepared for the show?”

Boris:“I'am prepared. See?” He held out his clarinet.“I’m even dressed up in the outfit you told me to wear.” He was wearing a black and white dress. Bendy buried his face in one hand.

Bendy:“Boris….I told you to wear a suit and tie.” He shot a glare at him.“Just stay off the stage okay? They’re gunna think this is all a joke to them!” Boris’s ears lowered and he frowned.

Boris:“Gosh, I’m awfully sorry Bendy.” He said a bit sadly. Bendy sighed heavily.

Bendy:“Just…don’t let this happen again. I know we’re all for fun and all every now and then but this is not that night. This is the night where I finally show the world just how important I'am.” Boris raised a brow at him.

Boris:“I thought this was about ‘us’?” Bendy looked at him.

Bendy:“Well….yes? But no?” He shrugged.“You’re not the one on the stage tonight.” He said with a smirk. Boris’s shoulders dropped as Bendy turned around and heard the audiance cheering.“Remember, I’m counting on you to make this show happen! So is everyone else!” He quickly walked away.

         ~End of Flashback~

Bendy:“For two weeks…I treated you like garbage. I didn’t understand why you still stayed, I thought you were just an idiot.” He looked down and was shaking his head.“But I was the idiot. I always have been. I didn’t see how much of a good friend you were. I broke that promise I made all those years ago.”

Bendy:“No, no. I can understand if you hate me Boris.”

Boris:“But Bendy-”

“I DON’T wanna hear lies!” Bendy said a little loud.“Just tell me how you really feel! Be honest!” He said as he grabbed his shoulders. Boris gently took his hands off and looked in his eyes.

Boris:“Bendy, you don’t remember EVERYTHING that happened do you?” Bendy blinked looking confused.

Bendy:“What…?” Boris smiled a little.

Boris:“You already apologized. Don’t get me wrong, I actually…was planning to leave. Until Ched almost ran me over with a train. You don’t remember that day?” Bendy shook his head.

Bendy:“Not really. All I remember was treating you like garbage.” Boris shook his head as he chuckled.

Boris:“Bendy, I left that show because we got into a big argument. We already talked about this. You were going on about how it was my fault that you forgot your song you were singing for the last three days. All day and all night. I left and you were going to start the show with someone else. I was going to take a train home but Ched showed up and we got into an argument about money.
Telling me that you owed him a hundred dollars or whatever that greedy rat was going on about, and shoved me into the tracks. I hit my head hard on the metal bar and was knocked out. Next thing I remember, you were trying to get me to wake up and we were off the tracks. The train was ruined. You wouldn’t stop apologizing to me for three days after that. ” Bendy was quiet.

~With each word your tenderness grows, tearing my
fear apart… And that laugh that wrinkles your nose, it touches my
foolish heart.~

Bendy:“So….what do you think of me now?” He hesitantly asked. Boris chuckled and shook his head. He raised a brow.

Boris:“You really wanna know?” Bendy swallowed. After a minute passed he grabbed Bendy’s arms. The demon gasped as he was pushed down
on his back on the couch and the wolf gave him a mischievous smile.

Bendy:“B-Boris?” His face felt warmer than before and he was unprepared for what happened next.

~Lovely, never, ever change. Keep that breathless charm. Won’t you please
arrange it? 'Cause I love you…Just the way you look tonight.~

The wolf slid his hands down to the demon’s sides and began to tickle him. The demon burst into laughter. He tried to get away but Boris kept pulled him close and tickling him.

Bendy:“Oh yeah?” He threw himself onto the wolf and began tickling him. The two began to laugh as they tickled each other. Though Boris seemed to be able to tickle him the most.“Okay! Okay! I give! I give! Hahahaha!” Boris finally stopped tickling him.

`And that laugh that wrinkles your nose, it touches my foolish heart.
Lovely, don’t you ever change. Keep that breathless charm. Won’t you
please arrange it? 'Cause I love you…just the way you look tonight.~

Just as Bendy was catching his breath, Boris licked his cheek. Bendy looked at him with wide eyes. Boris was smiling warmly at him and the look in his eyes, he’s never looked at him that way before. Bendy slowly smiled and chuckled.

~Just the way you look tonight.~

Bendy:“….I-” There was a loud banging on the front door. The two sat up right away. Boris got up and quickly walked towards the door. When he opened it, his eyes widened.

Boris:“Abella?” Bendy’s heart dropped when he saw her. She was smiling brightly at the wolf and threw her arms around him. Bendy clawed the couch leaving scratch marks on it and clenched his teeth.

Abella:“Hello my sweetest flavored pie! It feels like it’s been forever since we last saw each other!” He took a step back but she took a step closer quickly.“When I read all your letters I felt like I was falling in love with you all over again!” Boris’s ears lowered.

Boris:“Oh…really?” She nodded.

Abella:“Of course my precious love pup!” She said as she cupped his face in her hands and pulled him in for a smooch. Bendy’s jaw dropped along with his head. It bounced off the floor and rolled away. The body slowly fell backwards and fell on it’s back on the hard floor. Boris gently pushed her back.

Boris:“Uhh, Abella, you actually came?”

Abella:“Yes! I just couldn’t wait any longer. My heart would not stop singing your name.” She threw her arms around him again and began to kiss him over and over. Bendy, in the corner, watched them and he growled low. He never felt this way before. His body walked over to him and picked his head up placing it back onto his shoulders. He wanted to speak, wanted to tell her to leave, but he waited for what Boris had to say. The demon crossed his arms. Boris gently pushed her back and tried to catch his breath.

Boris:“Uhm…that’s good and all….uhmm….oh golly…” He itched his head. She frowned.

Abella:“What’s the matter darling? I thought this was what you wanted.” He made a look of guilt and looked at Bendy. The demon blinked. He rolled his eyes and walked up to them.

Bendy:“I’ll tell her then.” She furrowed her brows at Boris.

Abella:“Tell me what?” She asked as she crossed her arms. He smiled sheepishly. Bendy smirked at her.

Bendy:“Look, you two had fun and all but Boris already found someone.” He said this as he walked her to the front door.

Abella:“What?! Who?!” He grinned at her.

Abella:“Wha-” Bendy slammed the door shut and he walked away feeling better. Boris’s ears were down.

Boris:“I kinda expected you to do…something else. That seemed a little harsh don’t ya think?” Bendy shrugged.

Bendy:“Who cares? She shouldn’t have kept ya waiting for so long right?” He sat down on the couch. Boris couldn’t help but stare at the door.

Boris:“I think we should check on her just to be sure she’s okay.” Bendy sighed and looked at him.

Bendy:“Boris you sweet, sweet wolf, she’ll be over it in no time. Now come on over here and watch T.V with me.” He said almost sweetly as he held his arms out to him.

Boris:“Uhh….I dunno, I’m getting chills down my spine-” The door flew open and he spun around only to see Abella glaring at him. She stood in front of him with crossed arms.

Abella:“So that’s it then? You’re leaving me for that thing?” She pointed a finger at Bendy.

Bendy:“Well, I never!” He kept himself from smirking.

Boris:“Well…I was going to…well I mean….you see…” He wasn’t sure what to say. He already felt bad enough that she found out this way.

Abella:“You know, I was really hoping you would of kicked him out by now.” Bendy gasped.

Bendy:“I knew it!” He said out loud.

Abella:“But instead you fell for his lies and trickery! He’s a devil hun! Of course he’s going to lie to someone so sweet and innocent like you.” Bendy glared at her.“What makes you think he’s changed? You told me he’s hurt you before!”
Bendy frowned and looked at Boris. The wolf crossed his arms.

Boris:“He’s a changed demon, he’s always has been.” Abella stomped her foot.

Abella:“Why are you being so stubborn? It’s happening all over again! I’m trying to help you from making a big mistake! He’s evil! Look at him! The horns and the tail!” Bendy waved his tail around like a cat.

Bendy:“What’s wrong with having horns and a tail?” He asked with a smile.

Abella:“He also has a floating head!” Bendy shrugged.“Please don’t do this to us Boris.” She took his hand.“Please, just get rid of him, for me.” She asked sweetly as she looked in his eyes with a warm smile. Boris looked at Bendy who was giving him a pleading look.

Bendy:“Bori?” He said. The wolf looked away and they were quiet for a long time. She gently lowered his head to make him look at her.

Abella:“Everything will be just fine without him. I promise.” She whispered. Boris swallowed. He sighed and picked Abella up bridal style. Abella smiled triumphantly. Bendy’s eyes widened.

Bendy:“B-Boris?!” He heads out the front door. Bendy jumped over the couch and followed them outside.“Boris!” He walked to her car parked behind his truck.

Abella:“I knew you would make the right choice my sweet.” She said as she kissed his cheek.

Bendy:“Boris! Don’t-don’t leave me buddy! I’ll change! I swear! I won’t smoke so much anymore! I’ll come home earlier! I’ll stop chasing women!” He dropped to his knees.“I know I’m a screw up! I’ll do whatever it takes for you to stay!” He begged. Boris had placed her in the driver’s seat. He leaned down with his arms leaning on the door so they were eye-to-eye.

Boris:“Drive safely okay?” He said with a sweet smile. She frowned and gave him a wide eyed look.

Abella:“But I don’t understand!” Boris shrugged.

Boris:“Well, me neither. I’m not like everyone else, Bendy is a good guy. I actually try to understand him. He’s a good friend most of the time. He makes mistakes, but so does everyone else. I’m being a good friend by helping him out when he needs it and he does the same for me. He’s a devil, yeah, but not like any devil I imagine he would be. He learns from his mistakes.” He walked over to Bendy and helped him up.“Bendy, I love you just the way you are.
There’s nothing wrong with a little mischief every now and then.” He winked. Bendy smiled and he laughed.

Bendy:“Aw! I knew you wouldn’t leave!” He threw his arms around him.

Boris:“Bendy, you don’t have to stop doing all that stuff y'know.” He said as he hugged him back. Bendy looked up at him.

Bendy:“Oh good, I’m not ready to give up my sweet cigars Bori.” He chuckled.“But I WILL stop chasing women. Who needs em eh?” He giggled.
Abella sighed heavily and started her car. She drove away after giving one last glare at Bendy. The two watched her leave until her car disappeared.“Glad that’s over huh buddy?” Boris looked at him and nodded.

Boris:“Hey Bendy?” He said hesitantly as they walked back into the house.

Bendy:“Yeah buddy?” He said with a smile. He almost frowned when he saw the look of guilt on his face.

Boris:“I, heh….have a confession to make.” Bendy raised a brow.

Bendy:“Oh?” He crossed his arms and smiled.“Shoot.”

Boris:“….I was kinda….trying to get you jealous at first.” Bendy gasped giving a dramatic pose.“When I first met Abella? I just wanted to get your attention. But I just thought you weren’t interested in me like that. You just saw me as a friend.” Bendy walked over to Boris and put one arm around him and pulled him close.

Bendy:“Aw Bori, I can’t be mad at ya. I was actually planning on trying to get you to forget about Abella anyway if she ever did come around.” The two laughed and Boris hugged him.

Boris:“So Bendy. Got any plans for tomorrow?” Bendy grinned.

Bendy:“Well I was planning on taking a certain wolf out on a date tomorrow night after we spend the day having a nice picnic at a park, or go to the beach with Molly and him.” Boris grinned.

Boris:“Sounds like a good plan to me!” He kissed his cheek and his bow tie began to spin as his face grew warm. He began to giggle.

Abella was sitting at a bar taking a few strong drinks. She sighed as she buried her face in her hands.

Abella:“Oh Boris….what if he’s got you in some kind of spell?”

“Sorry, did you say; 'Boris’?”

The sad poodle looked up and saw an old rat holding a cup of wine.

Abella:“Yes? Do you know him?” She asked. He nodded.

Ched:“I know he likes to spend time with that devil on his shoulder.” Her eyes widened.

Abella:“You know Bendy?” He nodded.

Ched:“Yes. He causes more trouble than you think! I can’t stand him!” He growled.“He causes me so much money! He’s a bad influence on my niece too!” She gave him a look of worry.

Abella:“Goodness…” She said softly.

Ched:“I know a way to get rid of him for good though.” Her eyes lit up. He grinned. He took out a bottle with the words PURE WATER on it.“With a reasonable price, you’ll get rid of that devil for good and you’ll have Boris all to yourself. She hesitated.

Abella:"But…Boris really seems to care about Bendy. To go far to even say he loves him.” Ched’s eyes widened and he made a disgusted look.

Ched:“Come on! Don’t be ridiculous! A devil? In love? He’s just using him for his evil plans.” Abella blinked.

Abella:“What evil plans?” Ched looked around making sure no one was listening and then he leaned closer.

Ched:“Everyone else may have fallen for the devil’s charm but I’m tellin’ ya the truth here sweet heart. He wants the souls of the innocent.” She almost didn’t believe him but then again, he was a demon.“I’d go after him myself, but I’m old and not quick enough as I used to be.” She stared at the bottle for a long time. She pulled out her purse and pulled out a hundred dollars. His eyes almost popped out and he started to drool. He took it and grinned.“Pleasure doing business with you.” He gave her a whole bag of PURE WATER. She took it and left without another word. She looked down at the bag and sighed.

Abella:“Don’t worry honey. I’ll get you out of this mess.” She said to herself. She got in her car and drove off.

Calum Hood Imagine

One of our own

Calum was good with children… but babies were a different story. He always panicked when they started to cry and made a quick getaway whenever he could. It was something he was always scared of, having a baby of his own, he was afraid he’d be a horrible father… but I guess we were going to find out soon.

I sat in Calum and I’s living room, holding my best friend, Y/B/F/N, 2 month old baby boy. He was sleeping, so peacefully, considering the noise of the people who crowded the house. Christmas lunch was happening and I had yet to give Calum his present, but I had to be sure.

“Cal,” I turned to him and placed the little bundle into his arms. “Hold, Jay for a seconds please. I have to go check on the food.”

“But, babe…” Calum started to panic, little Jay starting to squirm, sensing Calum’s nerves.

“You’ll be fine. I’ll be like 5 minutes.” I said grabbing my friend and making sure it was just Cal and the boy left in the living room.

“What are you doing?” Y/B/F whispered, slightly panicked.

“I have to make sure he’s fine with babies.” I said walking into the kitchen.

“Why?” She looked like she was ready to run back. “And why my baby?”

“Because…” I smiled at her. “We may be expecting one sooner or later.”

That stopped her panicking and turned into pure joy. Squealing and jumping, she flew into my arms as we laughed.

“Oh god. Our children are going to wreak havoc. Together… just like we did.” She laughed.

All of a sudden, a scream cut through us. Jay was crying and I knew all the boys were panicking.

“Just let Calum try. Please.” I pleaded, even as we walked towards the lounge room without making ourselves known.

“Shhh, buddy.” Calum said standing, patting the tiny bundle on the back softly, looking around in panic. “Come on, it’s okay.”

“He’ll be fine. I know he will be.” I prayed, still watching Calum and Jay.

“Dude, does he need to be changed?” Ashton asked still sitting, beer in his hand.

“Oh god, I hope not.” Calum turned to them.

“Or maybe he’s hungry?” Luke offered.

“Well I don’t exactly have boobs to feed him do I?” Calum said sarcastically.

Y/B/F and I tried not to laugh out loud, panicked Calum meant sarcastic Calum, and it was kinda funny.

“Just shut up, Michael. Don’t say a word.” Calum turned from Michael’s smug face, meaning he was about to say something to really put Calum into a panic. “Shhh, you’re okay. Shhh, your mummy should be back soon.”

Jay hadn’t stopped crying through the whole thing, Calum still slightly bouncing him, soft pats on his back. Calum looked to be whispering to Jay now, softly into his left ear that was slightly covered by his beanie.

Somehow, whatever Calum was saying to Jay, he was calming down. Calum began to smile as he kept speaking… it was only when Calum got a little louder that we all realised that he was singing to little Jay. Calum’s soothing voice carried the words of Blink-182’s “I Miss You” through the quiet lounge room. Slowly Jay quietened down, relaxed into Calum’s chest and fell back to sleep, but Calum didn’t stop singing, for fear the tiny bundle would start to cry once again.

“I told you he’d be fine.” I said loudly enough for the boys to realise Y/B/F and I were standing in front of them.

“Where have you two been?” Calum whispered quickly.

“Watching you.” I said walking towards him. “Watching how good of a father you are truly going to be when ours get here.”

“What?” Calum stopped moving. “When what gets here?”

“Cal… I’m pregnant.” I whispered as I smile up at the man I had been in love with for 4 years now.

“I’m gonna be a dad?” he looked like he was going to cry.

“Yeah,” I nodded my head, crying myself.

Calum handed Jay to Y/B/F quickly and carefully, turning to me and grabbing my hands.

“Are you sure?” He asked
