i thought they

The Eleventh Hour so far has my favorite storytelling from Griffin! So here’s a pseudo-movie poster ehuehueue

Had to do another illustration for our Fantasy Illust class and our prof gave me the go signal to draw TAZ again as long as I found good face refs for them. B^) I based Magnus, Taako and Merle on John Spainhour, Paul Boche, and Brian Cox respectively!

I know I say I’m over you and I actually believe it most of the time, but I also know that if I saw you again, I’d fall right back into your trap. And if you reached out to me, I wouldn’t be able to ignore it. So yeah, I guess on some level I still miss you, but I also know that I used to lay in bed for hours staring at the ceiling and I don’t do that anymore. So maybe I’m not completely over it, but I’m also not completely broken anymore.

Headcanon that Derek realises he’s going to marry Stiles the day Stiles asks him if he could start using his chest as a dinner plate because, “the clean up will be more fun”. He’s not even being sexual. He is being 1000% serious, and god help him because thirty minutes later Derek finds himself staring as Stiles innocently eats curly fries off of him, petting his abs every other fry and thanking them for being excellent dinner hosts.

It concerns Derek his first thought is, “I’m going to marry this idiot” but as Stiles leans in and feeds him a fry, well, he thinks he got pretty lucky.

(Even if the fries are fucking cold by the time Stiles decides to share them with him.)

“Um, so, my kids know very little about Supernatural. They– hold on just, um. We have these little figurines. We have big dolls…”

Some of my favourite things from the Computer Games Facebook Live:

 - Darren wearing his hat in every conceivable position

- Darren trying to hand Chuck the mic REPEATEDLY and Chuck not taking the mic REPEATEDLY

- Darren being able to play multiple songs from the top of his head on the guitar with seconds of warning

- Bowling and Rambling Mike from Highly Illogical

- Darren’s Cockney accent (and saying ‘fucking’ in the cockney accent)

- The fact that TWICE Darren gave away the answer for the Heads Up Game (”Outkast….uhhhhhh …*plays a song by Outkast*”)

- Chuck’s emo singing about the girl graduating

- “I like how Chuck looks like a rocker and Darren kinda looks like a little kid but I love them both”

- Calling Beyonce on their desert phone

- Darren being unable to stop playing the guitar as they look at the comments

- “I speak Italian like a really smart 4 years old or like a really dumb 14 year old”

- Darren’s excitement about that Justin guy’s birthday

- Their commentary on the video as they watched it on the iPad and tried to show it to us (which was an epic fail because we couldn’t really see it)

- “We might have to yell at it.” “Yeah. HEY! Turn yourself up!” “Be louder.”

- Darren showing us the choreographed dance while sitting on the couch

- Chuck’s inability to dance

Hi!! I really want to learn how to draw do you have any advice

My advice was going to be something silly but i decided to go Full Dad and do something nice and encouraging instead so…

My advice is don’t give up on your art, and always challenge yourself. Aim for something higher. Don’t get too hung up on technicalities, even though they are important in some cases. Just focus on getting your ideas out…cos you can always go back and touch your pieces up or redraw them!

Some really small/good practice Things that I do to warm up are:

  • Blind Contours: These are so fun to do and I do them every day! Just do like 10 or so. It’s basically, finding a good reference image, and drawing the outline of the figure without looking at your paper/canvas!
  • Figure Studies: Study the things that trouble you the most about your art. Proportions of the body. Hands. Ankles. Varying Face shapes, eye shapes, nose shapes etc.

  • and Style Studies: Basically, mimic the things you like about your fave artists! It’s just for practice, so don’t Straight Up Copy someone else’s art cos that’s wrong. Don’t trace!

My final advice is: Draw for you. Don’t draw because someone asked you to, or because you think it will get you popular. Draw the things that make you happy! Give yourself time to finish your work, and do your best to finish even if you aren’t fully satisfied with the piece. A lot of times, my best work comes out of stuff I wasn’t completely satisfied with in the beginning.

Thanks for asking me, it means a lot that you want my advice!
