I laughed at the fact that no one noticed the different handwriting between the 99 names and Clarke's name but if Clarke had told them that Bellamy was the one who wrote it, how do you think people would've reacted?
As a person who has had a long history of deciphering handwriting (english teacher, you know how kids don’t write their names on thing? Yeah I could still tell who wrote what paper. I can also tell who draws what,) not everyone notices those things.
For all they knew, it was just written in all caps because SHE WAS SAVING HERSELF and that was the difference between the two handwritings. It was the same pen.
Also they weren’t paying attention to that. Too shocked by the very existence of the letter. Too horrified about being left off of it and who was put on it.
They already scoffed at Bellamy’s name being on it. There’s no way Clarke was going to put him in the front of the firing line for that horrible list that she never wanted to make anyway. I told you guys, she’s setting herself up to take the fall for when this all goes bad and she doesn’t want Bellamy or Raven to get caught in the crossfires. That’s why she made that speech and made those promises about how SHE, personally, was going to save everyone and it was all HER and SHE was the one in charge and SHE was going to be Wanheda again. Come at her, not them. “I bear it so they don’t have to.”
