i think the fact that they both grew up with abusive fathers

“I think every woman at one point or another in their life has been called a bitch. For a long time I had a real problem with that word, I didn’t like it and I thought it was derogatory. But I’ve gotten to a place now where I’ve made a lot of peace with it. It’s been so overused and made to seem so derogatory towards woman that I’ve adapted it into an empowering feeling for myself. If I’m a bitch then I’m a bitch, if that’s what an assertive woman is to you. So I’ve sort of adapted it as a badge of honor.”

Hinata understands Sasuke in ways others can’t

Think about it:

Both Hinata and Sasuke:
Grew up in the shadow of their sibling
Were seen as weak by their father
Had the pressure of being from the main branch of the family
Were raised with high expectations they couldn’t really fulfill
Had a bloodline they were expected to master, even when not everyone in the clan can (in Sasuke’s case it was not being able to unlock it, in Hinata’s it was the fact Neji was labeled a genius for mastering it at 13)
They both grew up in “it’s not REALLY abuse” situations, both neglected and yet still insulted by their father
Hinata wouldn’t blame Sasuke for his hatred, she’d understand it, verses how even Naruto wanted him to forgive

Besides Karin, Hinata is the girl that most understands Sasuke’s pain, and even if not romantic, I really wish Kishimoto wrote about their meetings, because she could help him a lot even now, tbh
