If you’re looking for a detailed critique please search somewhere else . I’m just giving my thoughts on the theory . Money makes trade easier because you might not always have something to trade that the other person wants . if that person is the only one providing product X. you are forced to travel to find whatever it is that person wants . Money isn’t the problem . Barter was replaced for a reason. Barter 2.0 socialism won’t end well . Resource based economy is socialism rebranded with unicorns and rainbows. You’d have to be able to eliminate self interest . Even if post scarcity was possible. you would still run into the problem that humans have conflicting interests. because we’ll still find ways to disagree on the use of a resource no matter what . Conflict is apart of human nature it’s not going away without creating a borg like hivemind . Humans have tried to be purely altruistic for a long time and have failed to the goal . A system based only on barter , giving , and use instead of ownership is doomed from the start. Post scarcity would lead to a lot of waste. Capitalism while it’s not perfect it can allocate resources better than any other system . I do not believe humans would be incentivized to care about how goods are used when you can just replace it like magic . the chances of achieving post scarcity are the same as gorillas becoming sentient and starting a war with humanity .
“When money ceases to be the means by which men deal with one another then men become the tools of men… Whips, gun, chains, or dollars… Take your choice for there is no other, and your time is running out.” -Ayn Rand
