So it was you right!? I've seen a lot of Victor Durmstrang art recently and i was wondering what happened suddenly? Lol Keep it going please, we need more Victor!!(and maybe some Slythering Yuuri) I can't wait to read your story! Have a nice day!

XD I think it was more a bunch of collective tweets from everyone who was talking about HP aus at the same time, and maybe me screaming about Durmstrang Victor lmao, but yesss, Slytherin Yuuri is the best Yuuri!

(1) What pisses me off the most as a very old army is that armys always fall for this kinda shit like billboard. It's so clear for everyone to see they're just fishing for attention YET armys go all "oh my god, they noticed bts!" without taking a second to think as to why the fuck they didn't pay attention to them back in the days when people were already talking a lot about an uprising group.

(2) then, armys always make posts/tweets about loving members equally, but whenever they have the chance they go around voting for this kind of bs to clearly show how theyre not ot7 biased. like i get yall dont have to equally love everyone but just dont vote for that shit. play it cool. dont give western media attention when they are clearly using a group to gain more followers.

(3) billboard has been doing it to seventeen claiming they are “their favs” and boosting nct out of nowhere. but when these groups had previous shining moments they werent there. armys have to grow the fuck up in this area, honestly. yall keep feeding shitty media just for a tiny bit of attention and then going crazy when you find out they werent so good. it’s right there for everyone to see

also those asks werent redirected to u, but i just needed to vent a bit! <3

im with you !! its a really immature fandom… i get so frustrated. and then ofc maknae stans are really just the absolute worst…. ew

i find the juxtaposition between jace and alec in 2x13 worth noting because on paper jace has often been positioned as a rebel/rule breaker while alec has always been positioned as a stickler for rules. but jace is actually the one who has trouble confronting authority directly; he may skirt the rules, but he often bends under direct orders – usually because those orders come from what he perceives to be a family member (first valentine, then imogen). given jace’s troubled upbringing this makes sense, but i was surprised that we saw it play out and acknowledged on screen. i do hope jace gains a healthier relationship with authority figures than he currently has; in this sense, i feel like it’ll be good for both of them that alec is now effectively his boss – someone in a position of power he can actually trust.

alec meanwhile has confronted authority since day 1. he has literally gone head to head with everyone from his father, his mother, all the way to the inquisitor. i feel like for alec, his arc isn’t necessarily about him learning to challenge authority so much as it’s about him learning which authority needs to be challenged and for what purpose. 2b is the first time we’ve seen him realize that the clave needs to be confronted just as much as his parents over their racism/homophobia and once he finally makes that connection, he doesn’t hesitate. now that alec is running the place, he only has to answer to Idris and i’m curious if we’ll see that happen down the line, especially knowing the plot in the books where the Downworlders ultimately gain seats on the Clave Council. it would be interesting to see Alec work against the Clave itself to help push this policy forward.

WHAT BTS SAID ABOUT THEIR PETS ??!

Let’s meet the BTS PETS:

JIN : JJANGU

Jin tweeting “Jjanggu who’s ugly but cute” (Savage dad)

SUGA: HOLLY

Suga tweeted “Holly only likes the people who give him food” (savage dog)

JHOPE: MICKEY

Jhope tweeted “ Don’t you think you’re too cute? Why are you so cute?” (Indeed a cutie)

NAMJOON: RAPMON (Monie)

Namjoon tweeted “I want you Monie Monie“ (Like the chorus in BS&T)

JIMIN: DOSUN (RIP the cutie passed away T^T and so far Jimin didn’t get another pet)

When asked about his dog he said “I don’t have him anymore. Dosun are you doing well?”

TAEHYUNG: SOOSHIM (dog) & KKANJI (cat)

When Tae tweeted “i miss soonshimie..” He really adores animals and babies!

JUNGKOOK: GUREUM

When asked about his dog Jk said “I have a Maltese at home. It’s name is Geureum (cloud) and I miss him/her a lot.” (Awwww)

BTS are perfect as they are, but knowing that they love animals just make me adore them moooore.

my dudes

my buddies

my pals

Let’s be real for a second in terms of like where this show is headed with regards to my favorite character (surprise it’s Lance jk no one is surprised)

Recently this tweet happened:

And some people are taking this really well and other people… not so much. Which makes sense since all of us have been like #thirstin for something more for Lance and have been met with a lotta nothing, but I think this tweet is actually a good thing.

So in this recent interview with Kimberly, Josh, and Jeremy, Jeremy basically says what he’s been saying since day 1 that’s been echoed by a lot of the other cast members and crew.

Basically: Lance will step up to the plate and he’ll become more of a leader and take on more responsibility but at the end of the day…

Lance.

Is.

Lance.

And when people ask for more about Lance in terms of his character, you don’t really hear much beyond this, which is exTRemEly frustrating but just hear me out.

It might not be this deep but I think it’d be cool if there’s a reason for the Voltron team being so adamant in the fact that “Lance is Lance.” And he will always be no matter what. This can go one of two ways.

1. Lance is Lance because he will always only be comic relief. 6 seasons of comic relief. That’s him. He’s Lance. A flirt. Cocky. Goofy. Sure he might have some moments like we’ve seen in S1 and S2 but for the most part he’s there to be the team goofball to make everyone laugh (or groan with frustration and annoyance)

Which is shitty and terrible and I will be so angry if this is what goes down but for now let’s move onto the MUCH BETTER option 2.

2. Lance does become a leader (maybe a co-leader? Right hand man? stays the Blue Paladin and just kinda steps up more? whatever) but no matter how tough things get, no matter how worn down the team is, no matter how hopeless the situation seems, Lance can still be Lance. And I don’t just mean he’s able to crack a joke at a tense time to lighten the mood, though that also is a part of it. I mean that he is able to keep a level head and calmly think things through even in chaotic or near impossible situations

That he is always concerned about the well-being of other and is willing to lay down his life for his friends (AKA PEOPLE HE JUST MET)

That he’s also not afraid to call out these friends when he thinks they are making a mistake (there seems to be a running theme with this one…..)

That he’s also appreciative of his friends and pays attention to their needs/wants and their strengths

And that he will always go down swinging

But maybe most importantly, and this is what I hope the Voltron team is trying to get at, Lance will never lose his joy and excitement and happy go-lucky demeanor. This is what makes him the Blue Paladin (and also why I think he would make a great Black Paladin but anyways….). He’s the glue of the team and this means more than just being the comic relief and making ill-timed jokes.

I really love the Lance that is able to start a weird space spore fight or wants to knit sweaters for Arusians. I love the Lance that enjoys doing a crazy dance while explaining their extremely dangerous plan to defeat Zarkon. I love the Lance that has fun coming up with wild ideas about what else could be locked up in Beta Traz. It’s not that he’s not taking his job as a Paladin seriously but rather that he is trying to take this crazy situation in stride as much as possible. We know that he can be worried, insecure, and lonely, but this never stops him from being who he is. He stumbles, loses confidence, regains it, and stands back up again ready to start swinging at the next asshole who decides to come for him and his friends.

Lance is adaptable just like water. He might come in different forms (serious, competitive, caring, homesick, flirtatious, etc) but at the end of the day it’s all of it is a part of who he is. He might need to get better at figuring out the appropriate timing of being leader Lance or flirty Lance, but it’s not like he has to lose the more immature part of him to become a more well-developed character.

So when people say “Lance will always be Lance,” I’m actually pretty fucking thankful. I’ve read some Langst where Lance becomes more “Keith-like” to cope with his insecurities which……. I’m conflicted about. I don’t think he needs to go as far as NOT be him in order for the team to learn to appreciate him more. So I think this affirmation from the staff that Lance will always be himself no matter what makes me believe that he will be what keeps the team together through the difficult and tumultuous times to come. That even despite his clear self-doubt he will be able to put the team and others first and maintain his role as the glue. That he will still manage to grow and change as a Paladin AND maintain the things that make him Lance.

There will be growing pains, of course, (I’m guessing a lot to do with Keith) but just because he’s insecure doesn’t make him weak. Lance doesn’t have to become more serious or stoic in order to be taken more seriously or be more “mature.” Then he wouldn’t be the Lance we know and love. He can withstand the challenges to come and develop as a character without sacrificing these integral parts of himself. He is capable of SO MUCH and I can’t wait for him to unlock the potential that was always there within him and makes him who he is.

Consider that it’s canon that Saitama and Genos live together in a small one room apartment. That they go shopping together, eat together, go to the bath house together, brush their teeth together.

Consider that Genos cooks, cleans, does the dishes and laundry not because he’s asked to, but because he wants to help Saitama. That he buys all his merch, wears a shirt with his face on it and has a photo of Saitama as his phone’s background. That he makes food with Saitama’s face on it, which they bring to a HA picnic as a smiling Genos pours them drinks.

Consider that Fubuki recognizes Genos not because he’s the one blond cyborg hero, but because he starts going on about his “sensei”. That he tells Don Pacino that he’d do anything for Saitama. That he tells Saitama, to his face, that he is the most amazing person he’s ever met, that he will always follow him no matter what others think of him. That when Saitama tells him how he feels lonely, Genos cries and asks him to wait until he can stand by his side.

Consider the lyrics of the ED, which includes lines like “when I close my eyes, you’re all I think about, “feeling the need to see you, feeling like crying, feeling romantic” and “the one I love is so strong they make me worry”. That a magazine pointed out that it takes a lot to not imagine that these are Genos’ thoughts. That the singer and Genos’ VA have expressed similar opinions.

Consider that the VAs on both sides of the pond joke about how much of a couple they are. That there’s a clip of them making hand puppet versions of them kiss. That they filled the OPM festival with double meanings, like making it sound like Genos was asking Saitama to go out with him. That magazines have described Genos as ignoring his fangirls because he’s “only attracted to Saitama’s power” or that he’s “infatuated” with him”. That the English VAs have tweeted that “Genos loves his master”, that maybe next time they will go on an actual date. That Saitama’s VA signed a fan’s print with “I ship it too”.

so lots of people have been asking me my thoughts on laci green’s “red pill” stuff recently. some, in an accusatory way (”why aren’t you a good feminist like laci green?”) and some in a confused way (”help im not sure how to process this”).

i’ve largely avoided commenting on it publicly for personal reasons. i dont like talking about individuals instead of ideas anyway, but there was just some stuff going on for me irl that made me not want to comment on this specifically.

but, at this point, i think laci is doing enough harm that it’s worth publicly saying that i really don’t like what she’s doing or how she’s doing it. i could go into a whole like in-depth thing examining every single point in her two “red pill” videos and analyzing her tweets because there’s a lot to unpack, but honestly that’s not worth my time because it won’t convince anyone of anything. people who want to support her are going to support her, and vice versa for those who don’t. i’ve had my arguments about it already and it’s tired and boring.

as an overarching critique, though, all i will say is that she doesn’t need to 1) throw other feminists under the bus or 2) befriend people who engage in online harassment.

you might not think she’s throwing anyone under the bus, and you might not think the people she’s befriending engage in online harassment – but again, i’m not trying to convince anyone of that. that’s just how i see it.

myself and other feminist creators have gotten a lot of backlash for not being ~open to a dialogue~ like laci, and i don’t think she has done anything to defend us. i think she’s tweeted a couple times that “not every feminist has to debate like me” but then the rest of her rhetoric is full of “i hate how so many feminists refuse to engage in dialogue but don’t worry everyone i’m a good feminist”. and not only does that throw us under the bus but it makes the wildly inaccurate assumption that none of us have ever engaged with any competing ideas which is a beloved anti-feminist talking point but patently false. many of us engage with these ideas, just not in the form of livestreamed debates. we’ve had our arguments, we’ve spent hours arguing over the same points, we’ve wasted our time trying to convince people of things they refuse to accept.

it’s just that she seems more interested in pandering to anti-feminists, complimenting them, and making them feel good than she does protecting the people who are at the receiving end of anti-feminist harassment campaigns.

and when people have said extremely horrible horrible things about me and my friends and tried to make our lives hell for months (or years), it hurts to see a large feminist youtuber like laci defending them and leaving me and other feminist youtubers out to dry.

i personally do not think engaging with anti-feminist ideas is a bad thing. contrary to popular belief, i talk to people with opposing viewpoints all the time (but riley you block people on twitter! yeah, conversations happen off twitter, fucking shocking i know right). but at some point, i’m just repeating myself. the arguments have been had. the points have been made. and i don’t have the money, the time, or the energy to devote 8 hours a day to arguing with anti-feminists. if someone else wants to do that, i think there’s a way to go about it that does not involve befriending anti-feminists or elevating small anti-feminists channels to a larger platform. engaging with the ~other side~ is not inherently bad – discussion and dialogue can be useful – but you have to be careful of the way in which you do it. one aspect of that is the difference between discussing privately and debating publicly. public debates are a spectacle, a show. they’re not conducive to learning or growing or conceding points. they’re conducive to proving you’re right and they’re wrong at all costs and being able to say you “owned” them the next day.

i think laci is approaching this in entirely the wrong way, and it seems to me that she has either fallen for a lot of bullshit anti-feminist talking points or is pretending to in an effort to get closer to them. either way, i think it’s kinda messed up.

anyway, that’s all imma say on the topic. the more we all talk about laci and hype up the little drama she has created, the more she profits from it and is incentivized to continue doing it. im done caring about this show she’s putting on, and i’ll continue doing the intersectional work she has abandoned.

[TRANS] 170523 Kim Hyunjung's News Show - Phone Interview w/ Rap Monster

KRN - ENG © ktaebwi

Kim Hyunjung (KHJ): Hello Rap Monster. Congratulations!

Rap Monster (RM): Hi, nice to meet you, this is Rapmon from BTs.

KHJ: You are in Las Vegas right?

RM: We have some additional schedules so we’re heading to LA from Las Vegas noe. Please excuse me for taking the call while on the road, thank you.

KHJ: You’re really well-manner. I’m the one who should say thank you for taking the call in such situation.

RM: It’s my honor.

KHJ:To be honest, did you go there with expectation?

RM: Of course, we had a lot of expectation. We thought that we shouldn’t have any expectation but at the same time, we expected a lot too. “They called us all the way here, wouldn’t they give us the award? But anyway let’s not hope too much,” we were kind of in a dilemma.

KHJ: How did you feel like when they called out BTS’ name at a stage like that?

RM: We talked about this among ourselves already too, it didn’t feel real. We just went out to the stage like we were being possessed by something, and in front of us were people like Drake, DJ Khaled. It felt like we were dreaming.

KHJ: Felt like you were dreaming? Back then when you were a trainee, have you ever dreamt of a stage like this?

RM: We actually have never dreamt of anything this big. When we were still trainees, around 1 year before debuting, we went to see a sunbae group’s concert at Olympic Gymnastics Arena. We talked about having to stand on this kind of stage at least once before retiring. We didn’t dare to imagine of attending an award show like BBMAs and receiving an award in front of such people.

KHJ: So you were watching the concert at Olympic Gymnastics Arena and you said “Wow, we have to do a concert here at least once before we die, don’t we?”. Was it your dream?

RM: It was nearly exactly what I said. For real.

KHJ: Those trainees now walked on the dream stage of Billboard and became the first among K-pop idol groups.

RM: It’s our honor.

KHJ: What do you think is the main factor to such global popularity? What is the core point?

RM: The local media outlets always ask us this too so I thought about this a lot, since I have to answer them. And I asked around too, of course. I think K-pop is like a gift set, an assorted gift ser. The music, the choreography, music videos and what we always do, communication on SNS. These things are combined together and once you fall for something, for example, if you listen to the music, you will watch music videos, then if you find the choreography cool, you will look up for performances on Youtube and find the fun videos that we always shoot, then you will check out our SNS and find out what thoughts we have. I can say that it’s extremely easily accessible. So the process of becoming our fans is extremely easy too. And most of all, our typical type of music or lyrics tell the stories of the youth in all over the world, no matter if it’s across the globe or Korea, the youth all feel the same emotions. We think it can create a bond of sympathy more easily, letting them think “So they feel like this in Korea too.”

KNJ: Your songs are in Korean, can those feelings be delivered? Including the lyrics too?

RM: The Internet and such are developing strongly these days, so even if we just tweet something, a lot of people would immediately translate it to not just English, but also multiple languages like Romanian, Portugese.

KHJ: So they translate and make subtitles in multiple languages?

RM: That’s correct. Nearly all of our contents have subtitles, so it’s easier to know what we talk about, what we write, what our lyrics say. I think we are benefitting a lot from the media.

KHJ: An assorted gift set made up from those things. And the finalization of it, the finalization of 2017, we can think it’s BTS.

RM: Thank you for saying that.

KHJ: But Rap Monster, how can you speak so well like that?

RM: Thank you. There’s a lot of chances where I need to speak on behalf of the group, so I think I have to speak well to dignify our group. I always think in my head first.

KHJ: You pulled out English interviews perfectly too. The assorted gift set story you talked about is true in many ways. It makes me think idols are indeed incredible, you started from Olympic Gymnastics Arena and now took home a Billboard award. What will be your next goal?

RM: Our next goal is a worldwide stadium tour. Stadium tour is the kind of tour that attracts at lease 30,000, 40,000 to 50,000 audiences. I can say that our next goal is to hold a worldwide stadium tour.

KHJ: So us older generation can understand that it’s like when Michael Jackson holds a concert and have 3-40,000 audiences?

RM: Yes, we want to do that.

KHJ: Earlier you said when you went to the concert at Olympic Gymnastics Arena yiu wanted to be like that sunbae group, who was that sunbae?

RM: They are called Highlight now right? We got a chance to go to Highlight - formerly known as B2ST - sunbaenim’s concert in 2012. We sat at the back.

KHJ: At the back?

RM: They were so cool so we told each other like “Let’s become like those sunbaenim”. We still sometimes talk about that among ourselves now.

KHJ: It would be even happier because you made it after going through hardships. Having a busy schedule must be really tiring right? What do you want to do first when you come back home?

RM: I always like enjoying the park or landscapes. I sometimes come to Gyeongbokgung too, it helps filling out the feeling of emptiness. I heard the Seoullo 7017 (a pedestrial overpass) has been opened.

KHJ: Yes, Seoullo. Oh, do you follow current events too? How did you know Seoullo is opened when you go abroad that frequently?

RM: I take a lot of flights and they always have newspapers there, so I read them.

KHJ: You need to be this level to become a global idol. Rap Monster, congratulations again. I hope you can soon come back and take a walk in the park or Seoullo 7017. I’ll continue to support and look forward to your future activities and worldwide stadium tour.

RM: Thank you.

Random piece of information from the Mitsurou Kubo autograph session

Translating PASH is taking some time so in the meantime have this. I didn’t go to the autograph session because of course I didn’t win the lottery for it (it was only about 120 people out of 30,000 applications, and still reports say that over 10 people didn’t show up, aaaahhh give me your luck if you don’t need it seriously). However some people are sharing pics of the drawings they got at the event, and one person also shared one piece of information which I’m sure you want to know.

I’m translating this person’s tweets exactly as they are but I decided not to post her name because she’s a normal person and maybe she might get scared and erase the tweets if she starts getting replies in lots of languages (and I don’t want to be the source of that lol). It’s one of the most retweeted posts about the session even though it has no pic attached so you might spot it if you’ve been looking at them…

By the way I think “AOI” is “Art on Ice”, the ice show that was recently held in Switzerland. Kubo was in Switzerland with Yamamoto until the other day and she posted pics of her with Deniss and he and Lambiel’s manager, so I think she went to see it.

Translation in bold:

What I earned at today’s autograph session was, beside of course the autograph, that I could directly thank her, that I could talk with her about AOI, and that I found out that Victor knew Yuuri from before the banquet & was aware that Yuuri was his fan.

(another person asked her “oh I guess it’s because of when Yuuri ignored him?” and below is the reply)

He didn’t notice him because Yuuri ignored him, it’s that sometimes one person’s performances might have some elements that resemble the ones of the skater they like, and apparently Victor, watching Yuuri performing, thought “oh, he’s my fan ₍₍ (̨̡ ‾᷄♡‾᷅ )̧̢ ₎₎ ” .

Now, it’s not clear how long “before the banquet” means, because it wasn’t specified whether she’s referring to Yuuri’s performance in the GPF or in general (though well, unless Yuuri has never been in the same tournament as Victor I guess Victor might have had other chances to see his performances), but still it’s cute that Victor would notice that. I wonder what would Yuuri think if he knew this, lol.

P.S.: The emoticon is Victor’s “official” emoticon, lol. She used it in the tweet so I used it too.

Davai! (Or why Otayuri actually wins the world)

(Tweets by @Aki_the_Geek)

I’ve been thinking a lot about this comment of Kubo-sensei’s. It’s just the most adorable thing I have read in a while. I am not the biggest Otayuri fan, but only mostly because they’re seriously too young for me at this point. I do like their tandem, however, and I am enjoying the attention they are getting recently with the official photos and everything.

This comment, though, just paints such a cute picture for me: Otabek as a god of victory, like a mystical butterfly who ignores and flits past everyone else but chooses to rest on one particular mortal’s shoulder and bless him with strength and victory.

Listen, this is what is great about what Kubo-sensei said. Yuuri Katsuki has the gold rings that connect him to Viktor as his lucky charm - we know this. BUT! Yuri Plisetsky’s lucky charm, on the other hand, is Otabek Altin.

Yuri’s a great character. He is an angry teenager, but also a talented one who has big dreams and the actual skills to achieve those dreams. From the very beginning, we know this. It was even a point he has above Yuuri Katsuki.

He aims to win and does not see what others might consider obstacles. So what if it will be his first Grand Prix? He’s awesome. He won the juniors series. He can win as a senior, too.

Yuri, however, is also very immature. He is pretty poor at expressing himself and seems to shortcut through having to process most personal encounters and interactions by just being angry all the time. Affection for others embarrasses him, which is why he gets so high-strung around Viktor and Yuuri.

(I can’t really blame the kid, though. Those two just have no chill. They’re embarrassing.)

Interestingly though, Yuri seemed to calm down after Otabek came in the picture. It’s a complete 180. Yuri still had that passion, but somehow it became more tempered, less angry and more focused - so much so that the moment Otabek came in, Yuri broke a world record and then proceeded to win his first Grand Prix Final.

I am not saying that it is Otabek’s doing, like an actual god of victory. That would be ridiculous, and it’s more an expression than anything else. The timing is just pretty neat, and isn’t that how people develop lucky charms in the first place? You happen to have them right at the moment of a great win. It is also not as if Otabek was completely useless. He did provide a friend to Yuri, who thus far had been going on without someone he can actually call a friend. Everyone around him were either older than him, a competitor, a mentor or a teacher. I think Otabek calmed Yuri down by reminding him that he can just be himself… well, a cool version of himself anyway. Yuri actually sort of acted his age with Otabek around. For instance, this?

I thought Yuri was kind of cool-guy-posing here - you know, acting chill, even looks kind of smug. Lol, this reminded me so much of my younger brother when he was about Yuri’s age. He was such a useless brat at home and was pissed off at everything and nothing 99% of the time, but the moment his friends came over or one of them called him on the phone, he sort of became this cool version of himself - wittier, sharper, less fidgety. Lmao, his voice even became deeper. Smh at these boys…

What I also love about Otabek’s character is that he reminds us of Yuri’s name. Names are a big deal, okay, and I thought that Yuri being Yurio was kind of like him being a secondary character to Yuuri Katsuki - Yuuri #2, if you will. Ever since episode 2, Yuri is Yurio, and for every episode hence, he is Yurio. It was actually a bit of a shock to me when Otabek yelled this out in episode 11:

I was literally, “Oh yeah, that’s Yurio’s name.” I know Yakov and Lilia call Yurio by his name, but somehow it was when Otabek was calling him by this did Yurio become Yuri to me again. My theory is that it is Otabek’s manner, this I-know-you-call-him-Yurio-and-I-don’t-care-because-his-name-is-Yuri attitude he has going, that is somehow more convincing than anyone else. It is as if no one else matters in his world than Yuri Plisetsky. It is ridiculous to call him by anything other than his name because to Otabek, Yuri is Yuri #1. He probably calls Yuuri “the other Yuri”, “the Japanese Yuri” or just plain “Katsuki”.

So yeah, Otabek enters Yuri’s life and now Yuri has that source of affirmation that is outside family, who is a peer and even a close contemporary. He is no longer fighting alone. Yuri’s a strong guy, but he is still a kid, and at that age people can be quite vulnerable. No 15-year-old is so self-sufficient and self-confident that they can stand on their own at all times - at least not to my knowledge. That is why I love this friendship and why I love that Otabek came along. I think his coming triggered something that Yuri has long been building throughout the series but has yet to stabilize - his strength, his growth, his maturity as a skater as well as a person.

And actually, Yuri did win in the end. I think the series did not celebrate Yuri’s win enough and admittedly, even I was on such a high during those last weeks of the show that I could not be happy for him all that much. Episode 11? I couldn’t get over Yuri’s world record; I did not want to see Viktor dethroned. By episode 12, I still couldn’t look Yuri in the face. I was bitter about his world record and I was bitter about Yuuri Katsuki not winning the Grand Prix.

BUT, it’s time to face it: Yuri Plisetsky is amazing. He won the GPF on his senior debut. He beat a world record. His coach is obviously grooming him to be the next Viktor Nikiforov, and actually, the series has been hinting at it before hitting us on the face with it in episode 11 - Yuuri Katsuki is not the next Viktor Nikiforov, but Yuri Plisetsky is. What is more amazing is that he might even surpass Viktor, especially with Yuuri Katsuki as his main rival. Viktor never really had that one rival to push him up further than he thinks he can. We are told that his wins had wide margins from his other competitors. Viktor only had himself to beat each and every time. Yuri, on the other hand, won by a hair’s width and he knows it. He is even more driven now. He will push himself harder than Viktor ever had pushed himself, and that just might tip the scale a little bit more to future Yuri’s favor.

As for Otabek? Nah, he actually does not need to do anything. He is a lucky charm; he just needs to exist. With him around, Yuri is stable, and that’s all that this talented monster skater needs really.

Lol, look at this guy just watching his favorite so proudly:

“I’m not really needed here, but fuck if I’m not staying put to watch and join the cheering.”

Otayuri actually has a lot more going for them, future-wise. They are young, they are talented, and where Viktor and Yuuri are still struggling and see-sawing between victories and losses, Otayuri actually kept a steady climb. We already know and mentioned Yuri’s wins, but Otabek was also actually that steady character from the very beginning who skated well without question and was even the first to qualify for the GPF.

So, yes. In case you are asking, Otayuri is, in fact, the real power couple of the show.

Lmao, TL;DR - Otayuri just trumped Viktuuri and ultimately even stole their gold. The secondary OTP lowkey just beat the main OTP and I, albeit a hardcore Viktuuri shipper and just an Otayuri bystander at best, still find that really hilarious.

  • Keith: Rarely tweets but ALWAYS replies to mentions. Bitches about Twitter character limits. Posts doodles of space and stars, tagged Shiro in it once and beamed when he got a like and a retweet. He posted more after that.
  • Lance: Twitter Famous. Very noisy and likes to chat way too much. Gets into twitter wars and LOVES it. He mentions Hunk way too much, causing Hunk to use twitter more. Uses way too many hearts and kisses. Retweets a lot.
  • Hunk: Only ever replies to Lance tbh. Posts a lot of what he cooks and bakes. Gives baking advices to people who ask and is always happy to give away his secret recipe. Once had to teach someone maths over tweets.
  • Pidge: Emoji master. People hardly get what she's trying to say, except Keith. Keith always knows, even if they're just a series of emojis. Accidentally posted codes she was supposed to use for hacking. Got reprimanded by Shiro.

After their fail with that quote about Harry and Louis being at the wedding in Spain, and after Louis himself tweeted that he was at a wedding in Donny... The daily mail wrote the same quote on another article.... Hahaha www*dailymail*co*uk/tvshowbiz/article-4621080/Newlywed-Pixie-Geldof-hits-beach-husband-George. Also many magazines have said he was there... Even hello magazine (which is pretty big) and Glamour said it so I really think he was on the invitation list like someone suggested.

it gets more detailed and extravagant every time jkasdjsd now they were “done up to the nines” and i’m here like

Love how Jay Park whenever he’s in Seattle, he tends to tweet a lot and share his thoughts and feelings about anything and everything. Being back in his hometown definitely makes him happy. So heartwarming to see him sharing all the photos of his childhood and everything that he’s thankful for in his life and worked hard for coming a full circle. I think at this point in his life, as he turns 30 this coming April (born in 1987), he’s truly accomplished a lot that’s beyond his wildest dreams and glad that he’s always thankful and grateful for it and staying humble and always remembering his roots and putting his focus on his family and friends.

Yuuri is up late and he hits the 'everything is funny' part of the night. He tweets a lot about everything he finds hilarious and Victor is baffled in the morning

On behalf of Yuuri, I would like to apologie for last night’s spam of bad jokes.

Yuuri Katsuki @yuurikatsuki
A mixture of jetlag and lack of sleep left Yuuri extremely tired.

Yuuri Katsuki @yuurikatsuki
When tired, Yuuri finds things overly funny.

Phichit Chulanont @phichit+chu
Geez, @v-nikiforov, what is with the apologising? Last night was great.

Twitter War AU

Travis wants to introduce a trans character to TAZ. He is asking for trans people to advise him.
  • [Excerpt from the episode “From Gaston Rossdale to Learning Through Kindness” from the podcast “Interrobang with Travis and Tybee”]
  • - Beginning 31: 41 -
  • Travis: “We’re about to wrap up our main storyline, from the last two and a half years. And we’re gonna start some new storylines. And we have had, I think an appropriate amount, of audience interest in introducing like some trans characters, some gender nonbinary characters, some characters in which gender is not necessarily the focus [of their stories], you get it.”
  • Tybee: “Yes.”
  • Travis: “I have honestly been wondering, because I want to get it right. What is the right way to introduce a trans character, without having to blatantly say, like: ‘You’re looking at a character that was born a man, but now identifies as a woman.’ Like how do you- I want to correctly introduce a character. I want to do it right. I don’t want to just do it to like check off a box, you know what I mean? I really think not only do I want representation, I also want interesting characters. I want characters that aren’t just, like, the most default character I can think of, but I also don’t want to do it just to pander. I don’t want to do it just to say that I did it. I want to do it right, and I don’t know what that is. So I need help. I need people to give me input on what is the right way to introduce a trans character, and make it clear to the audience that it is a trans character without being pander-y.”
  • Tybee: “Yes. Ok. I hope that our listeners will help you out with that.”
  • Travis: “Thank you, it’s just a thing I’ve been thinking about a lot-”
  • Tybee: “Where can they send that information?”
  • Travis: “I mean you can tweet it at me but [I’m on hiatus from Twitter]. You can email me travis@maximumfun.org or travismcelroy.com has a 'contact’ button if you wanna do that.”
  • Tybee: “Cool. Um, I… I thought about adding to the conversation but I think I will allow for that to be answered by our trans friends and fans-”
  • Travis: “You know actually, I would rather if we’re gonna do it, let’s talk about it on the Facebook [Interrobang group, not page] so that we can get a lot of different inputs on it. Because here’s the thing, I also recognize that any individual person can’t give me the whole scope answer; they can tell me through their experiences and where they’re at and what they want to see. But at the end of the day, I want to value independent opinions - but also an overarching opinion. Because I want to make people feel like they are represented as possible and not just an individual, so I’d rather it be an open conversation in a Facebook group. So, Interrobang [group] on Facebook.”
