i think a lot of people forget this moment

I don’t think a lot of people understand how frustrating memory and concentration problems are. It’s not cute or “ditzy” or whatever to forget what you were doing or thinking about moment after you were doing it. Being able to complete a task or thought because you can’t remember or focus long enough to finish it is a terrible feeling.

being on broadway must be weird because you’re famous but only…. to certain people?? like you could be at starbucks and like nothing’s happening and then all the sudden some teenage kid runs up to you and asks for a pic and they’re so excited to see you and it’s a moment they’ll never forget and then… like everyone else in the starbucks would b like…. who tf is that

... Somehow, Still Talking About This Captain America Shit (Now With Bonus Spider-Man and Agents of SHIELD)

So now Secret Empire has revealed its Shyamalan Twist and given the readers a Good Guy Steve Rogers as well as Hydra Cap, and the kinds of dickbags who, when this whole bullshit began were dismissing people’s complaints with “oh come on, don’t you know how comics works, it’s all going to be put back at the end, blah blah blah…” are crowing I-Told-You-So’s.

But here’s the thing:

Yeah, fucknuts.  We always knew this.

10 Things I Loved About Mass Effect:Andromeda

Warning: Spoilers! And I wrote this on the spur, so there might be grammatical errors.

1.      I enjoyed the story. Yeah, people will say it recycles from the trilogy, but come on, people. Why are you surprised? Bioware recycles their plotlines all the time. It’s pretty much the same in all of their games. A protagonist gains special abilities and leads a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits team to defeat a big threat. And I’m not bothered by that. Sometimes familiarity in your franchise is good, just as long as you do new things to the formula, and I think they do.

What interested me the most was the theme of starting over. A lot of people in the Andromeda Initiative were former criminals or outcasts. The reason they joined was to start a new life, and it’s explored in the main questlines, the loyalty quests, and numerous side quests. I was worried about the game talking about colonization since humans are looking for a new home, but I was pleasantly surprised that the game made it clear that Andromeda is the angara’s home first, and humans and other Milky Way species will have to work with them. Thank god! No Mightey Whitey trope this time!

2.      Ryder as the player character. I honestly never thought I would love Ryder as much as I did when I played the game. Sure, no one will ever replace Commander Shepard, but Ryder isn’t meant to replace the Commander, rather show a different perspective in a new story. Commander Shepard is the hero we want to be while Ryder is more of a relatable character. Ryder has to learn through the entire game how to be a leader while going through the obstacles of their inexperience and youth so people will take them seriously. And it was compelling, uplifting, and at times amusing to see them become a hero in their own right and step out of their father’s shadow.

Also Sara and Scott felt like their own person. In the original trilogy, the player character is pretty much the same no matter what gender. But sometimes the dialogue can be different depending on if you play a male Ryder or a female Ryder. That’s because they are two different people who have had their own experiences and personalities. That really adds to the replay value!

3.      Female aliens everywhere! One of my major issues with the original trilogy was the lack of female Turians, krogans, and salarians. Sure we had asari an all-female race, and female quarians, but it felt weird that we met so many aliens with very few ladies. Not only do we get a female Turian squadmate, we also get plenty of lady alien NPCs gathered everywhere for random quests. We also have Kesh who works at the Nexus. And we get to see female salarians! And they kind of look the same as male salarians except with different voices. Thank god! It would’ve been horrifying to see salarians with boobs. Uh! And I’m pretty sure there were just as many female angara NPCs as there were males.

4.      The romances. Especially the queer ones. One of the things I love about Bioware games are the romance paths. Bonus points if there is a queer option. And as of patch 1.08, this game has the most number of queer romances in any Bioware game. I think my two favorite romance paths are with Sara and Vetra and Jaal and Scott. While representation for the LGBT community is improving in media, there’s no denying we still have a long way to go. And after again the crap year 2016 where we had a huge number of queer women characters die in tv shows, it was so wonderful to have a healthy and happy relationship between two women when I first played the game. And even if it wasn’t added until the patch, the romance between Jaal and Scott is absolutely sweet since we see two men show a lot of love and affection for each other which is rare to see in media.

5.      The Tempest Family. I adore every single character on the Tempest, and they really did feel like a family once you played further into the game. I am a sucker for found families, and to see these people who are trying to find a home ending up finding a home with each other just gives me so many feels!

Since there’s not really a huge crew in the ship like in the original trilogy when Shepard had an army of humans. In Andromeda, we have six squad mates, four additional crew members, and Ryder. And I think it made the family more intimate. It’s like our own little family lives on the Tempest.

Also I liked how there were more quests spread out throughout the game with the squad which I think was lacking in Inquisition. Plus. Movie Night is the best scene ever!

6.      In my opinion, the side quests were fun. I think this was one thing they improved from Inquisition. Inquisition side quests just felt like a bunch of fetch quests that got kind of boring pretty quick, and didn’t really add to the overall story. Some highlights from Andromeda were: Kadara, the angara reincarnation questline, the Turian jailed for murder, the anti-AI group, meeting Zaeed’s son, and those kids sending out a distress signal for a new light for their weed plant. HAHA!

They were compelling in their own right and included cut scenes instead of the Inquisitor going to some location like in Skyrim to do a thing come back to the quest giver saying, “I did the thing.” “Ok, good.”

7.      Unlike in Inquisition, there’s actual payoff for some of the quests you do. I don’t mean to be mean to Inquisition, I still love the game, but remember when we were promised that you had to build your forces up in order to defend against the main threat. Yeah, you built forces to get influence points to gain perks, and that’s it.

In Andromeda, while, yes. It’s not the same level as Mass Effect 2. When you actually complete quests and help out leaders, you can get different results during the final battle. Like, there’s a chance Captain Dunn may not survive.

Also, when you get 100% viability on all the planets, you get a special surprise on Habitat 7- being told that it will one day be habitable because of our efforts. Sure it was a side quest, but it just felt so rewarding!

8.      The climax was actually fulfilling and exciting. Again, something else Inquisition was lacking in. Seriously, when I first played Andromeda, I legit gasped when the archon was taking control of SAM node. The villain was actually living up to his threatening nature!

Just when we think we got everything under control, and are about to find Meridian, the Archon fucks shit up, and our sibling has to step up to save the day. Then we have to gather people we helped out and prepare for a final battle, and Ryder can finally prove themselves as a true Pathfinder and kick the Archon’s ass once and for all. People are saying the ending was as disappointing as ME3’s? Pfft…What are you even talking about?

9.      The angara. Bioware never fails to make me love an entire fictional species. Yeah, it feels a bit off that they pretty much have the same faces and the same 3 voice actors, but I really do love their culture. And I appreciate that they were clearly coded as POC while Andromeda didn’t go through with the whole Mighty Whitey Trope. The game wants you to respect their culture and to respect their home.

I love the angaran people are open about their feelings, I love how their religion believes in reincarnation, I love how we see angaran scientists, soldiers, merchants, mercenaries, and civilians. Also Aya and Hivraal are absolutely gorgeous!

And when Jaal finds out his people were created by the Kett, I was worried it was going to go the Dalish elves route, but Jaal points out that it doesn’t change anything about the angara. They are still their own people. And that was such an uplifting message.

10.  The overall light-hearted tone. I wrote a small post that got a good number of notes. (Probably the biggest number I’ve ever gotten), so to quote: “There was always this sense of hope and optimism about finding a new home. ‘Yeah, things may have gone totally wrong, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make them better’ was the overall message I got.

And really, with so many bad things happening in the world right now and too much of our entertainment supposedly being our escapism being dark for the sake of dark, this was something I think a lot of us needed.”

Mass Effect 3 had its light-hearted moments, and I love it, but man, that game was emotional draining.

It’s a bit discouraging to love something so much and get recommended videos on youtube pointing out the same flaws of that certain game, and why they thought it was a huge disappointment. Do I agree with some of their criticisms? Sure. Does the history behind the production explain the flaws? Oh absolutely.

But people seem to forget that the original Mass Effect trilogy wasn’t without its flaws. I mean, sure everyone can agree on the Mass Effect 3 ending, but I could make a list of all the issues I have with the other Bioware games including Dragon Age: Inquisition (which despite winning Game of the Year, kind of suffers the same problems Andromeda had).

So yeah, after the crap year of 2016, I was so excited to get a newly-released game that made me happy. And still makes me happy, and makes me in the mood to play another Ryder.

dating jimin [realistically]

gif cr.

important disclaimer: just like my other pieces of this series, this is based on my opinion and my imagination of “realistic” only. I don’t know park jimin personally, nor his past relationship experiences. This is only my own imagination on how it could be like dating him. If you’re not open to stuff like this, please don’t read.

note: I noticed that this one turned way more positive than the others lol. I guess jimin really has me thinking that he’s just a cute ball of fluff

To me, beauty is confidence. I think I’m pretty confident in the decisions and the choices I make in my personal life and career, but the same time I also let my fans know that, just like them, I have insecurities. I have moments when I don’t feel good about myself. I think people can forget that, at the end of the day, I’m just a normal girl dealing with lots of the same issues as them.

I KNOW this will be an unpopular opinion but I’m going to say it anyway, and if anyone who reads this doesn’t take the time to think about it than I don’t know what to say.

While I understand over sexualizing characters in different forms of entertainment (movies, books, fanfictions.) is a bad thing, I don’t think anyone should have the right to tell fan fiction writers what they can and cannot write about.

1.) while I’m not excusing this scene, Stephen king literally wrote a semi explicit orgy scene between a bunch of 11-12 year olds. I have not seen one person in the Tumblr It fandom call that scene out except when it is briefly mentioned in a post, but my point is that no one seems worried about that part in the book while fan fiction writers are getting death threats over it. Not only the orgy scene, he also includes scenes in which a leper offers Eddie a blowjob, another character offers Henry a blowjob, and towards the end of the book richie offers his popsicle to Eddie and when eddie licks it, richie goes red and takes it back. Beverly literally thinks about touching Bill’s penis and balls.

2.) it’s FICTION. None of these characters are real, and I’m not saying “hey, write Eddie and Richie having explicit gay sex including sex toys and bondage.” I’m saying that fiction means imaginary people and events and that if Stephen king can get away with writing an orgy scene into his book than I think a fanfic writer can allude a possible more intimate moment.

3.) it’s unrealistic. Underage sex is a thing, you realize? While I don’t condone it, that doesn’t mean my will power alone stops teenagers from having sex. And again, like my earlier point, I’m not saying extremely explicit scenes are needed in writing. I’m not saying “have reddie fuck while they’re 11” either. Also it’s FICTION.

Basically: I believe a lot of the IT fandom is basing their writing off the characters in the movie, and that’s totally fine because I’ve done it too, but a lot of people are forgetting about the details in the book. I think when one person says “this is wrong!!!” Then another person picks that opinion up and then suddenly everyone is thinking that because they feel if they don’t than they’re the outlier.

And before I get attacked, I am not saying that heavy explicit sex scenes are necessary, all I’m saying is attacking people over their choices is immature and stupid. If you don’t want to read an underage scene, don’t read the fic.

One last thing: if you want to respectfully talk to me about your opinion, I’m all for it. But if you come at me rudely I’ll a) delete the message, or b) block you.

I’ll respect your opinion just as long as you respect mine.

EDIT: I’d also like to clarify that I meant fics in which the characters are at least 16, and the fic is not solely a smut fic. If there’s a story where there’s a plot and the main focus is not nsfw, that’s what I’m talking about.

So now among all the stupid things being written about the rune scene I now see that apparently Jace wasn’t into & Dom looked bored. You know I cannot let that go so let’s talk about this. So in this scene we have Clary & Jace combining their angelic powers to try & find Jonathan. Clary comes up with a rune & draws it on both of them. We know for previous episodes that Jace can extend his power to Clary by touch & we also know that these abilities also thrive on the emotional connection between Clary & Jace. I think its pretty obvious that the rune is tapping into their emotions & kinda laying them bare. Now on to Jace…..

In this first moment you can see Clary is just totally giving into her feelings. Jace is still holding back. He clearly is feeling something but he always holds back his emotions specially for Clary. So in those first seconds he’s unsure what to do.

So he does pull her into him & then he just seems completely overwhelmed. I think people forget that Jace has been longing for this forever & now he’s finally holding her & feeling this rush over emotions forced out by this rune. Its a lot all at once.

Then we finally see Jace give into what he’s feeling & just let go. He looks so content & at peace. Like everything makes sense. This moment is so intimate & pure. You can see how much they mean to each &  Its absolutely one of my favorite shots because Jace is a character we rarely see this way. So to see him this way it so freaking amazing,

“Dress sexy” .

Jackson’s husky words echoed in my mind as I washed my body, making sure to shave, exfoliate and almost everything else in the book I could think of. I touched my skin making sure it was silky smooth to the touch before turning off the water and stepping out. The steam enveloped the room, making it a foggy maze to the door. I grabbed the dark colored towel off of the rack, wrapping the fluffy thick cotton around my body before I left the humid room, relishing in the cold air hitting my wet skin when I opened the door and stepped out into my room. In my immediate line of sight, I could see a broad back and shoulders going through my closet, carefully inspecting each article of clothing before pushing it aside and moving onto the next.

“I like the red” I heard his low, smooth voice speak as he inspected a dress I wore once to some high end fashion party Bambam dragged me to.

“It suits you” he mused.

That deep, melodic and smooth voice belonged to only one person. But how and when did he get in my room? How long was I in the shower for? It couldn’t have been that long, could it? My mind was swirling with the bombardment of questions assaulting my conscious, the most prominent one being what the hell was going on.

“Jaebum?” At the call of his name he took his attention away from the dress and turned to me.

I could fully see how he was dressed now, a simple white button up, buttoned up to his elbows with black slacks on. It was simple, but with his accessories of the silver earrings and simple chain, adorning his neck, he made it gorgeous. Giving me a once over, his lips spread into a gorgeous breathtaking smile. He kept his hand on the smooth, silky fabric of the dress as he addressed me.

“Evening baby girl” he said in a smooth, polite voice.

The initial shock of Im Jaebum in my room, while I was naked no less, was staggering and highly difficult to get over to say the absolute least. He raised an eyebrow at my silence and I could see the smug glint in his eye. He was breath taking, it was almost impossible for me to take my eyes off of him. His dark hair was styled back and away from his forehead, giving me a view of his gorgeous features. He watched me as I watched him, silently egging me on to do something as I continued my ogling unabashedly. That was before my mind took me back to the reality of the situation; Until I was reminded of the questions that needed to be answered.

“What did Jimin tell you?” Finding my voice was difficult but to produce it was even worse.

I think a lot of people forget that Summer was Yangs mom too. Giving birth to a child doesn't automatically make a parent and Yang loved summer with all her heart

The fact that Yang refers to her as “mom” and not “Summer” or “Ruby’s mom” says a lot. Like from the moment Yang was put in Summer’s care I imagine she treated her like her own. A lot of the way Yang cares for her little sister is probably because of the way Summer cared for her.

Dean is an Abuser - Analysis

(tw: abuse, parental abuse, father abuse)

Note: Before anyone is like “Jenna u hav no idea wht ur talking abt” I am victim of parental, in this case fatherly, abuse. I just don’t want people to think I don’t know what I’m talking about and think I’m flinging the word “abuse” all around willy nilly. So LETS GO

I love! Long Exposure! So much! Mars is AMAZING at storytelling, pacing, and her characters are so easy to love? I love them? She’s amazing, please go tell her that!!

And now while all of us Love Mitch, Jonas, Sid, etc there is the Other spectrum with characters like Dean and Neil that we’re SUPPOSED to hate! And Mars is doing a spectacular job showing how the audience is Not supposed to side with them.

But, from an outsider perspective that doesn’t know subtle signs of abuse, I can understand why it doesn’t click right away that Dean is supposed to be an abuser. While there are those who dislike him, I sense some hesitancy calling Dean a downright abuser, and well STRAP IN because he is.

When I woke the next morning Junmyeon, to my surprise was still sound asleep on the couch. Shaking my head I went to the kitchen and proceeded to make breakfast. After awhile of being in the kitchen I heard thud and groan followed by a few unsavory words about a headache.

Reaching into the cupboard I pulled out the bottle of asprin and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and as Junmyeon entered the kitchen handed them to him.

Sherlock said he likes his doctors clean shaven, so why did John have a luscious sex moustache in Sherlock's dreams, aka in TAB?

At times like these, nonny, we could turn to historical researches, which can tell us much about facial hair in the Victorian era. For example, here are some thoughts by @mathildalocks, and I’m pretty sure @weeesi found some information about Victorian moustaches and clean-shavenness and queer male identity during their research prior to TAB, which I frustratingly enough cannot find right now.

As for me, I prefer a psychological explanation. You see it’s simple. Recall that, upon his return, Sherlock was shown this picture of John:

And then he did this:

Well, lots of people in our little corner of fandom have talked about this moment, and how Sherlock is thinking about The Smooch in the new context of The Mournstache. And sure, John subsequently shaves and yeah, Sherlock “prefers his doctors clean-shaven,” but let us not forget that Sherlock, for this glorious moment and probably for the rest of the afternoon, sincerely thought that he would, upon their reunion, have the opportunity to kiss John and his moustache, and experience the full bristly goodness of that bedecked upper lip. He probably talked himself up to it. I’m sure it was a major topic of introspection: how it would feel, that scratch of upper lip as John pulled him down for a kiss, the rough abrasion of it, John’s hands on him, pulling him tighter as he left the first hints of scratches along Sherlock’s jaw and neck.

I’m sure it was a source of anxiety at first, but soon, after just a little while, it probably became a point of excitement. Sherlock might have imagined having to control himself, at least a little bit, to stop from giggling as John’s moustache tickled his skin, as John kissed his way down, lips and tongue working the soft skin of Sherlock’s belly, the brush of John’s bristles, as John rushed to undo Sherlock’s trousers, and push them all the way down past his thighs.

Although John shaved (for Sherlock, of course it was for him), it’s probable that a tiny leftover bit of longing and wonder got stuck somewhere in Sherlock’s mind, and that my dear friend, is all the explanation I really need for this:

May god have mercy on our souls, but especially Sherlock’s.
