The Nobushi are the defenders of the villages too far from the Imperial City for the army to reach. They are elegant fighters with a curious weapon. They have the lightest armor that allows them to move like the wind but cannot take a lot of damage. But don’t let their appearance fool you, they are one of the most effective fighters the Samurai have.
Understandably, Trini’s characterization will be a disappointment to many. Yes, there is an implication that she is attracted to other girls, but it is open-ended enough that those who wish to vehemently deny her sexual orientation will find the wiggle room to do so. That said, it is a considerable improvement over the supposedly gay character in live-action Beauty and the Beast; even if it is only implied, Trini’s sexual orientation is a topic that is at least treated with respect, and it is a detail that lends real-world weight to her sense of alienation and her generally closed-off nature. It’s a step in the right direction, particularly for a franchise that famously mistreated an openly-gay member of the original cast. Still, I would have much preferred if there were more explicit confirmation of her attraction to girls. I hope the planned future installments rectify this and take the time to further explore this aspect of her character.
First of all I’ve got to say sorry because I told you that I was going to record a fancam and I did… until my card got full at the end of the warmup *facepalm* so I’ll still post the warmup tomorrow but yeah.
And thank fuck god for @pink-paperblossom that I planned to meet with and that warned me that a marathon was blocking the way for me to get there in time!
Now let’s go to the good stuff.
Now let me ask you something, we all have specific(s) image(s) attached to an event right ? Like frames behind your eyelids ? Because I’ll have many for this event but what I’ll remember first when thinking about it isn’t the amazing program Shoma pulled, but *clear throat*THE FACT THAT WHEN I WHEN I WAS STILL IN THE ENTRY SEARCHING FOR @pink-paperblossom SHOMA BRUSHED PASSED ME AND STARTED TALKING WITH TAKAHITO WHO WERE LIKE 3 FT AWAY FROM ME, WTF DO YOU WANT ME TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK

..AND HE FORGOT TO BOW !
ANYWAYS I’M OUT (OMG DID THIS REALLY HAPPEN OR WHAT ?)
I think I’ve answered this before, but being honest, I either dislike them or I’m not interested in them. The amount of AU’s I like or I’m ok with is very small, and I think I still prefer the original game over them. That’s why I’m picky with AU requests.
sometimes there were those moments in life that caught you off guard, leaving your breath a little bit caught in your lungs. alec hadn’t expected it, but here in his room, between the dark wood and his ivory bed sheets, this was one of them. magnus was lit up by the low glow of the lamp light, settled on his bed so casually, his face framed against the dark headboard and alec found himself lost for words. maybe it was the spell of the night, falling over a twilight world in his warm room with the curtains drawn, but alec didn’t think so. no, it was magnus himself, wasn’t it? it was warm sleepiness around his face that didn’t do anything to dampen the spark in his dark brown eyes. it was the smallest hint of a smile on his lips, pulling up the corners of his gorgeous mouth as he sat there, with his hands resting in his lap. it was the steady rise and fall of his chest and the way he was looking at alec in the hushed quiet, his focus making alec feel like something was melting in his ribcage.
do you think the watchtower’s sensors recorded the super moon in their files as one more observation of a phenomenon in the immediate space perimeter and, more importantly, do you think the following day batman discreetly changed the log files to read “bat moon” for his own amusement. and because he’s basic
What's your preferred color structure for teams? I personally prefer anything where the designs stay consistent with main and accent colors
I like it when the main heroes are primary colors with maybe black, white or pink tossed in with a secondary color like green. For example, if you take the only (official) three man team in existence, Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan:
You have three primary colors; Red, Blue and Yellow. It’s a good color balance there and is repeated in the only UNofficial three man team, Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger:
At the core of any team you have these three colors in some capacity, at least until you get to the modern age. There are teams that start with three members and those three members are ALWAYS Red, Blue and Yellow:
Then you add in your other main colors and those can be a secondary like Green (the most common) or one of the extremes like Black and White. Of course pink is the odd color out, not really being a secondary but more like Red… but not quite. It’s the only color designated for the female hero. A male character can be any other color but pink has always been the ‘girl’ color. Of course, female heroes have also been Yellow (most commonly), blue and white as well with one rate exception being Red and most recently, Green for the first time!
But the most common color is still pink:
So, for the main team, my favorite color structure is Red, Yellow, Blue, Pink and either Green or Black. It’s traditional and kind of boring, but still what I prefer. That may be because it’s the original color structure from 1975′s Himitsu Sentai Goranger and I love that show.
Of course, even since 1992 and the arrival of the Dragon Ranger, there’s been a wrench thrown into the color balance, the sixth hero. At first, they seemed to fill the color gap in the team with Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger lacking Green, Gosei Sentai Dairanger having a lack of an extreme color (black or white) and so forth. It’s when we get to 1997′s Denji Sentai MegaRanger that we toss in a new color, Silver and thus we add metallic hues to the mix.
This opened up all kinds of new possibilities for colors and though Silver and Gold were the most common extra colors not seen before we also got colors like Violet and Orange, my personal two favorite additions!
But, if I had to add one extra color, I would take one of those two as they are secondary colors created by mixing two of the primaries, much like green. They seem a natural fit for the team line up and I was honestly surprised at how long it took to get them in the possible lineup.
-- interesting for me until Act V, the last one (I don’t count Act VI as it’s post-main story), which hurt the game’s performance even more for me. There were several game mechanics that I found irritating, which again I acknowledge were present in the original, Gaiden, but were still irksome. I prefer the GBA FE games NA got over Echoes and Echoes more so than Shadow Dragon by a landslide. However, Awakening and Fates both had more engaging stories, characters, and support conversations to me.
yes….a good ask
I agree that Echoes had a ton of problems with its character development and it’s presentation of its characters as a whole. Fire Emblem has always had its core in its characters and character development, and I think that’s why I disliked this game so much is because it didn’t offer as engaging of a story or as interesting of characters as Fates or Awakening did
For example, this introduction of Niles from Fire Emblem Fates was more interesting and told me a lot more about the character than any of the long winded, fully voiced dialogue scenes from Echoes.
I love Toho monsters. You can’t appreciate the history of tokusatsu without talking about Toho and their creative genius Eiji Tsuburaya. He was the man who created the effects used in the original Godzilla movies. One of his creations (and one of my favorite monsters in the franchise) was Baragon.
This monster first appeared in 1965′s Frankenstein vs. Baragon.
Which was re-titled for it’s American release as Frankenstein Conquers the World.
On a side note: why is that the Japanese title screens for these films are almost universally better looking than the American ones?
Anyway, despite being the heavy in this film and fighting a benevolent version of the Frankenstein monster created from the irradiated heart of the original brought to Japan by Nazis at the end of WWII… yes, that is the plot, Baragon was a pretty adorable monster.
Look at him, isn’t he so cute? Like a scaly puppy with a horn! He had a pretty great design and one that apparently had a lot of versatility.
When Tsuburays moved off from Toho to start his own production company, Tsuburaya Productions, he kept close ties to the studio and the special effect department her founded for them. With his own TV show budgets pretty tight, he got to borrow and reuse many of the suits from his Toho epics for use on TV, with some slight modifications. This is how Baragon became Pagos in 1966′s Ultra Q.
When the full-color second Ultra series entry, Ultraman came about, Baragon was once more pressed into service and altered. This time for three different kaiju foes of the Silver and Red hero from Nebula M78:
Sadly, due to the wear and tear on the suit from being altered and used so many times in Tsuburaya’s productions, it was too damanged to appear in Toho’s spectacular Kaiju Shoshingeki (怪獣総進撃) a.k.a. Destroy All Monsters. His role was taken by King Kong Escapes monster Gorosaurus.
He would not appear in another film until 2001′s
Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack a.k.a. Gojira, Mosura. Kingu Gidora: Daikaiju Sokogeki. A brand new suit was created for him that was slightly more menacing. I still prefer his original suit and all of its variations.
Though Baraon himself might not have appeared after his suit was used in Ultraman, the various monsters created from his suit would return time and time again. Sometimes they would be brought back using stock footage from the original series and other times new suits would be made to represent them.
His legacy will always be there in the monsters he inspired, were made from him or he battled. There will always be a place for Baragon among the greats, even if he almost always played the heavy.
