description: Two mystery students from your college run the podcast dubbed ‘mixtape.’ It’s become a sort of phenomenon around campus, listened to by almost everyone. In their most recent episode they discussed various study methods… One of them being oh so tempting.

“This week’s topic is—” Sugar started, of course only to be swiftly interrupted by the second half of the two-man show podcast that had sort of gone viral around your college campus.

But regardless of being cut short, the metallic nature of his voice still managed to worm its way directly into your chest, where it festered into something so captivating that you couldn’t help but sigh. It was cool to the touch as the syllables of his chosen words sent an intrusion of goosebumps along your arms and thighs. It had a certain gravel, a deepness that you could sometimes feel in the pit of your belly if you listened to him long enough with your eyes closed. However, more times than not, the grit would be severed with a vibrant laugh that rang so sweetly that you could feel it clamoring around your heart with giddiness on its heels.

“—Studying! So sexy, right?” Jay interjected mid-sentence, something that anyone who listened to their weekly episodes would quickly learn is a norm.

However, there were times of course where Sugar was allowed the courtesy of going off on long tangents without his friend’s interruption, and in those moments his voice was hypnotic, if you had to put it simply. It tugged you beneath the current of concentration until you were pressing the volume button on your phone to raise his vocals higher. The small hitch of his breath, or exhale against the mic when he would sigh due to the topic at hand, they made you lean in closer to the invisible man on the other side of the pre-recorded audio that filtered through your headphones.

Part 1 Part 2

“What the hell was that, Jensen? Tell me now.” Danneel demands angrily narrowing her eyes.

“Um…she…well…I’ll be right back, ok?”

“Just give me a minute! I have to talk to Jared.” Jensen bolts to his costar’s trailer without waiting for a reply.

“What’s up?” Jared asks when Jensen bursts through his door like a mad man.

“What did Y/N say?”

“About what?”

“Don’t fuck with me right now, Padalecki.” Jensen growls surprising them both.

“I really don’t wanna be in the middle of this, man.” Jared sighs running a hand through his long chestnut hair.

Here (Jason Todd x Reader)

A/N: Hope you guys are liking these so far!

Request: Prompts 1, 9, and 19 from list 2! With Jason

Warnings: Blood, injury

There’s so much blood,” Jason whispered, wide eyed as he pressed a strip of his t-shirt to your temple. “Come on baby, stay with me,” he muttered, desperately trying to stop the bleeding. “Stay with me.”

You opened your eyes, squinting as white light penetrated your vision. You groaned at the splitting pain in the side of your head. You realized you were in a hospital bed.

“Babe!” you heard from your right side, and you slowly looked over. You were met with a blur that resembled Jason. You blinked a couple of times and your vision cleared.

Jason looked concerned, has brow was turned up and his eyes were wide. “Can you hear me?” he tried again, one of his hands moving to cradle your face.

You nodded. “Yeah,” you whispered hoarsely, your throat hurting slightly. “What happened?” you asked.

Jason looked confused, then worried again. “You don’t remember last night at all, do you?”

You shook your head, brow furrowing in curiosity. “Last thing I remember was getting ready for patrol with you.”

“You-” Jason stopped to take a breath. “You got attacked. I- I didn’t even see it coming before they were- they were gone and you were on the ground,” he continued, his voice beginning to crack.

You moved your hand to his, which was still cradling the side of your face.”It wasn’t your fault,” you whispered, stroking the back of his hand with your thumb.

“You don’t even remember what happened,” he replied, smiling halfheartedly.

“I know you, Jay. You have this habit of blaming yourself for things that aren’t your fault,” you said, smiling softly.

“I thought I was going to lose you,” he mumbled, moving his head to rest on your shoulder. “You weren’t responding to me,” he started, the helplessness returning to his voice. “You had this- this dazed look. Like-like you were already gone.”

“I’m right here, Jay,” you whispered soothingly.

“I know, baby,” Jason replied. “I know.”

“It’s about time you showed up sleepyhead!” said Jared. “We’ve been out there stalling and goofing around for ever.”

“Hey, it’s not my fault you guys decided to show up early the one time I’m running late,” you said. “Blame Jay. He’s the one that came down without me.”

“He said you were taking forever in the bathroom,” said Jared, obviously no longer in any rush when you saw you were still two minutes early.

“I was braiding my hair, again, after he went and messed it up, again. That man loves to play with it,” you said, cocking an eyebrow. “This isn’t the morning panel where I can show up looking like a zombie.”

“I hear Y/N back there. I guess someone decided to come to work today,” you heard Jensen tease from on stage. You grabbed a mic and hopped up the step to get up there, Jared right on your tail.

“Don’t even get me started mister,” you said, taking your normal seat next to him. Jared started laughing to himself as he walked past and you saw a few people start to snicker as well. “He did not mess up my hair again, did he?”

“Nope, but you two certainly are coordinated today,” said Jared, biting back a smile. You glanced down at your pretty light blue dress shirt with rolled up sleeves. You had a simple pair of dark skinny jeans on with some tall brown boots.

“Oh,” you heard Jensen say at the same time as you. He had on a light blue dress shirt, dark jeans and brown boots, albeit his were under his pant leg but still…you looked like twins.

“Did I miss the memo?” teased Jared, a small blush creeping over your face. But Jensen threw his arm around your shoulders, those damn long fingers playing with the ends of your hair again.

“We happen to have excellent taste,” said Jensen. “Right baby?”

“Obviously. We chose each other after all,” you said, Jared rolling his eyes as you heard an ‘aw’ rise up in the room.

“Alright, we got a whole hour for you two to be cute. Let’s get this thing started, shall we?”

Hot Crossed Realities~ Chapter Two

Summary: One of Brainstorm’s experiments goes on the fritz, with an unexpected consequence. Pulled into another universe, two women have to learn to live alongside their favorite characters on the Lost Light … and all the danger that comes with it.

Warning: This chapter has IMPLIED death and bodily harm.

Brriiiing! Brriiiiing!

Drift glanced down at the phone in his hand, frowning when he saw the name and quickly understanding that it wasn’t for him. The Captain had run off not too long ago to go find the humans that Swerve claimed he’d seen in Ultra Magnus’ hands, and shortly after Rodimus had practically announced this to the whole bar no one had stopped talking about it. Most were wondering aloud if this was real or if it was another practical joke by Swerve. The poor mini bot had been getting pestered relentlessly for details when Drift had left, deciding to go and find out the truth himself.

Now it was just a matter of locating the orange and red bot.

As he walked by Ultra Magnus’ office, his instinct told him to stop in for a quick visit, figuring that if Rodimus had taken the humans off somewhere, Ultra Magnus would know.  “Magnus?” He called, rapping on the door with his knuckles. He only had to wait a moment before it slid open to reveal the much larger mech who was staring down at him as if he had a bad taste on his glossa. Drift chose to ignore the disdain and instead showed him the ringing phone, Red Alert calling for the second time in a row. “I heard Rodimus was coming to see you, and Red Alert is insisting on talking to the Captain.”

Ultra Magnus rolled his optics, but Drift had a feeling the irritation in that act wasn’t aimed at him this time. “He’s taking the humans to Rung’s office so that they can talk to him and possibly regain some of their sanity from this ridiculous situation,” he told the ex-Con.

Drift blinked in quick succession, surprised to hear that Swerve’s tale had not in fact been just another prank. “How did humans get on the ship?” was the first question that sprang to mind. He had never met a human before and this would be an excellent opportunity to learn about some of the most interesting organics he’d heard about in his travels.

Ultra Magnus growled and said, “I’ll explain later. Let’s get that phone to Rodimus and fix whatever new problem has sprung up this time.”

Jay just barely managed to keep herself from tipping over as Rodimus plopped her and Fay down on a desk, her head spinning. She looked up at the Captain of the Lost Light, still beaming down at them with pride and elation. The whole trip to Rung’s office had been filled with him chattering on about introductions and asking them questions about being human, all while speeding along the halls in his alt mode.

While she had loved getting to ride in his alt mode (it was so cool), it was apparently only for those who didn’t get motion sickness easily. She had gripped onto the seat underneath her, gritting her teeth at every corner they had precariously turned, willing herself not to get sick. She had instead tried to distract her mind, answering as many of Rodimus’ questions as she could and by the end of the drive, found herself enjoying talking to him. Though it would take her a while to get used to riding with him, she wished it didn’t have to end so soon.

“Hey, Rung!” Rodimus said to the mech sitting at the desk, the smile never once leaving his face. “Mags said to bring them here to get evaluated or something, so here ya go!”

It was clear that the psychiatrist had been in the middle of fixing one of his model ships when they’d entered, tools and parts scattered about on the desk. When Rung had recovered from the unannounced entrance and looked down, it took a second before he realized just what the Captain had brought him “Wait, are…are these two Earthens?” he asked, removing his glasses to see if his optics were playing tricks on him. “Real Earthens?”

He’d heard plenty of stories and seen image feeds of the curious organics, but he’d never thought he’d actually get to meet one in person. Looking between the two humans, however, he realized that the shorter of the two had averted her gaze. Her face had taken on an interesting shade of pink as she looked anywhere but at him, and the moment she glanced over at him she ducked her head against her shoulders before she gave a shy, nervous wave in greeting. She was most likely overwhelmed by all that had happened. Maybe a bit nervous still as well, considering that even though he was not as large as Magnus or Rodimus, he still loomed over them. Hopefully over time that would change as they grew more comfortable in their new surroundings.

Noticing her friend’s reaction  in the face of meeting Rung, Jay coughed lightly to divert attention to her. Once she had his scrutiny, she placed her hands on her hips and gazed up into his own with curious eyes and an animated grin. “No, we’re humans,” she explained before she added, “Earthens sounds so…weird.”

“They got brought here from Earth by another one of Brainstorm’s wacky experiments or whatever,” Rodimus cut in before she could say anything else, shrugging as though it were an average Tuesday before he clapped a servo on Rung’s shoulder. “So! I trust you’ll take good care of them and make sure they’re well adjusted and all that shiz, so that I can take them to meet the others later! Okay see ya later nerd.” As fast as he had come, he left.

Except a moment later he popped his head back in and, looking at Jay, he said, “Looking forward to seeing you again soon, cutie!”

He winked and finger-gunned in her direction before he disappeared once more, leaving the humans alone with Rung.

The orange and white bot turned in his seat to glance at the small beings, humming lightly in thought when he noticed the one who had corrected him earlier was still staring at the direction of the door, twirling a strand – he believed it was hair? – around one of her fingers with a faraway look as if she was day-dreaming. The light in her optics – wait they were called eyes – was something he had seen many times before, he’d been around too long not to recognize the signs. Hopefully that didn’t end in disaster …  Meanwhile, the other human was looking at him out of the corner of her eyes as though to appraise him, but the moment he actually made optic contact with her she quickly averted her attention elsewhere.

Something didn’t quite add up to him. Typically anyone who had just been ripped from their home and thrown into an unfamiliar environment would be uneasy or even skittish. Yet these two seemed to be almost…fascinated? Stunned? Dumbfounded?  Even, strangely enough, pleased as though despite these events they weren’t upset at being torn from everything they knew and loved. He couldn’t quite comprehend why they could be feeling this way, or if this pleasure was towards their new environment or the mechs. Then again, processing something so life changing would take time.

Still, they obviously would need his help and comfort –and he wasn’t about to turn away a patient in need. So with a quiet sigh, he moved aside the the tools and parts scattered about his desk and turned to them with an apologetic smile. “Pardon the mess. I would have had the area cleared had I known I would be receiving company,” he said. “It would have helped if Rodimus would have called first, but, what’s done is done.” He paused for a moment before he added, “I don’t believe he even said what your names were, did he? Or did he simply not ask?”

Seeing as her friend was still soothing her frayed nerves Jay decided to speak up first and said, “My name is Jay. Rodimus I think just got a bit excited about having us on board, heh.”

While Jay introduced herself, Fay had taken the few precious seconds to get her wits in order until she was able to look up at him. “Yeah, he did seem a little enthusiastic about the whole ‘having humans on the ship’ thing,” she began, only a slight waver in her voice as she smiled.

“Can’t say I blame him. I’m Fay, by the way. It’s nice to meet you. Rung, is it?”

He was surprised for a moment before he smiled softly. It was exceptionally rare for someone to get his name right, especially on the first meeting.“Yes, that is my name. And from what I understand you’ve experienced quite a shock.”

They nodded in agreement, but before Fay could open her mouth to reply, a static noise crackled to life all around them before it settled and a familiar voice spoke. “Listen up everyone,” Rodimus began, his tone seemingly calm and collected (was that a hint of excitement?) before he continued. “There’s been a bit of an incident on the lower decks. Nothing to worry about but as a precaution, I’d like everyone to pair off, go back to a habitation suite and wait inside until I give the all clear. Everyone that is except Ratchet, Trailbreaker and Chromedome - you three need to come to my office immediately.

Just a precautionary measure in response to something absolutely unremarkable and actually quite boring. But if anyone does happen to carry industrial strength energy dampeners or turn into a nullification booth, or is able to generate level 9 containment fields, then hey feel free to come see me as well…so, um, ‘Til All Are One!

“Well that was a rather peculiar announcement,” Rung muttered when the intercom cut off. “Then again, I suppose today has just been full of surprises … as always.”

And yet neither Fay nor Jay could shake the feeling that there was something strange about that  announcement. It almost felt like Deja vu. They had heard those words once before, but from where or when it was difficult to say for certain. It wasn’t until Rung got up to lock the office door that it finally clicked and they looked at each other in slowly rising horror. Rodimus had spoken that very announcement on the bridge in the earlier comics after he had gotten a warning.

Right after Red Alert had told him about the spark eater.

But … how was that even possible? The sparkeater danger was supposed to have happened towards the beginning of the comics shortly after the explosion on the ship and the rescue of Skids. And yet Rodimus had mentioned (during that nail biting, death defying ride to see Rung) that he had been relaxing in Swerve’s bar the moment he’d heard about their arrival, and yet – Swerve had discovered the bar on the ship during the events of the sparkeater attack. If the bar was already up and running …

Why was the sparkeater only now emerging?

Once he was sure that the door was secured, Rung turned back to the humans and said, “Well it’s better to be safe than sorry. And I’m sure it’s nothing to fret about.” Despite his attempt to seem untroubled, both women could hear the touch of worry in his normally serene voice.

That’s when, almost simultaneously, Fay and Jay remembered the incident that had unfolded when the spark eater had escaped its prison. Those the spark eater had killed hadn’t satisfied it, it hunted for the brightest spark on the ship, the ultimate meal.

The very spark that sat right in front of them, a gentle smile of reassurance on his faceplates. “Now, where were we?” he asked, oblivious to the impending danger.

“Okay, let’s find this thing. Magnus has sealed all the interior doors, so it’ll be confined to the corridors.”

“It’ll be disoriented after gorging itself,” Ratchet added. Once it finds its bearings it’ll go after the brightest spark. It sounds like it’s carrying semi-digested sparks, so best not shoot at it. Containment is key.” He gave Rodimus a pointed look, as though it would get his point across.

Whether he had noticed or not Rodimus gave no indication as he held up two digits and ordered, “Split into teams and scour the upper decks. Drift and I will stay here and try to find out how the neutrals kept it trapped for so long.” Rodimus maintained optic contact with the gathered bots, ensuring they understood that this was not up for negotiation before he glanced down at the corpse on the ground.

“You’re not coming with us?” Ultra Magnus questioned, raising an optical ridge at Rodimus’ choice of words.

“No need,” he waved a servo in dismissal. “It’ll come back here and I’ll be waiting.”

“And you’re sure of this because…?”

Rodimus had to resist the urge to roll his optics towards the ceiling at all of the questions. “Because Ratchet said it would go after the brightest –” he shook his head for a moment before he looked Magnus in the optics and said, “Look, I’ve just got a hunch, okay?”

“What about the humans?” Rewind asked in concern, Ultra Magnus and Rodimus having filled the group in earlier on the newest arrivals. “Will they be safe?”

“Humans are organic, Rewind,” Ratchet said. “They don’t have sparks like we do, so the sparkeater won’t be interested in hunting them.”

“See? They’ll be fine, so there’s nothing to worry about!” Rodimus said with a smug grin.

“Unless it crushes them while trying to get at some poor mech,” Ratchet added in a flat tone.

“… Okay, so maybe there’s one thing to worry about.”

“Hey, uh, Rung?”

“Yes, Fay?”

She paused for a moment as she glanced at Jay. They had to figure out a way to keep him safe. If the sparkeater was real, then they had to find a way to make sure that he was standing in the right spot where Skids would have a chance to save him (if that part of the story would stay the same). The only problem is, Rung had been standing near the door – not sitting at his desk.

A glint of gold out of the corner of her eye caught her attention as she glanced at the unfinished model set to the side and she promptly got an idea. “Oh, sorry. This is just … still so new that I don’t know what to say or where to begin! Everything’s so big, and it’s just a little bit intimidating.”

Rung gave a sympathetic smile as he nodded in understanding. “Yes, the Lost Light is quite large even for us.” He reached over to pick up the half-finished model and held it so they could see. “I noticed you were eyeing my current project. Do you like models?”

“I do, though most of the models back home you have to paint and mix the colors together to match the picture on the box. I’m always afraid of messing them up somehow and ruining it completely, so I’ve never done it before.” She happened to look up and noticed the shelves with more models, turning around and bending backwards to try and get a better look at them. “Are there more up there?” she asked as she pointed up.

“Why yes! Would you like to see them?”

It was a simple plan, but if they could get Rung to stand up it’ll put him closer to the vent where he needed to be. If everything went according to the story, Skids would most likely already be somewhere in the vents to avoid feeling trapped in his room … but where exactly he was right now was hard to say. Had he even heard the screams of any of the dying mechs? Or was he halfway across the ship? It was impossible to tell, but they had to try and hope for the best…and hope that they were with Rung during the rescue.

Neither of them wanted to be trapped in the same room as a macabre metal monster.

“Well I know I want to take a closer look!” Jay interrupted Fay before she could say anything, unable to resist shooting her friend a wry grin as she moved closer to the computer monitor.

Quick as a flash she scrambled up on the various notches until she was on top of the screen, jumping to grab the lowest shelf she could reach. She just barely made it, boots scraping for purchase as she tested her strength, gradually pulling herself up. Peering over the edge, she saw Fay and Rung’s faces and laughed lightly – they both looked ready to faint at the sight of her antics and she waved at them before turning her attention to the models. “Wow, they’re so pretty!” she said with a gasp of amazement, standing up to get a closer look at the details. “Did you put these all together by yourself? Can I touch them?” she asked despite that fact that she was already tracing her fingertips along one of the ships.

“Well, I suppose that is all right,” Rung said, though he seemed uncertain how to really respond after just witnessing her determination to climb something that was obviously a dangerous height for someone so fragile. Looking down at Fay (who, thankfully, had not followed her friend’s example), he noticed her own hesitance and asked, “Would you like to join your friend?”

“Please?” came the sheepish response. Fay slid into the offered hand and held onto his thumb as he reached up, holding still until she was safely on the shelf next to one of the other models. Up close and personal, the models were about the size of a human (give or take a foot taller than them), once more reminding the two just how small they were compared to the mechs. They certainly were impressive in size and appearance – as though they were looking right at a shrunken version of the real ships. “Wow. Are these based on real ships?” Fay inquired, trying to keep up the impression of being ignorant.

“They are indeed. In fact, I only collect ships that I have served on.” He seemed proud of his statement as he watched them. “Soon I’ll order the parts to build a model of the Lost Light itself to add to my collection.”

“Wow, that’s amazing!” Fay said, eager to see a close-up of the famous–if odd-looking–ship itself. “How long does it take you to bu–?” She yelped as her hip bumped into a low engine on one of the models, causing her to balance precariously on the edge of the shelf and instinctively pinwheel her arms. “W-Whoa-whoa-whoa!!”

Upon hearing her friend’s frantic cries Jay whipped around from where she had been admiring another model nearby, curls bouncing erratically around her face. Seeing her friend trying to desperately right herself before she fell off the ledge, she immediately dashed to Fay and grabbed her arms in a vice like grip. The moment she tried to pull them both back to safety her mind conjured an image of the red and violet vortex that had forcibly dragged them here, a wave of helplessness from the memory causing her to lose focus. Without realizing it, her foot slipped off the edge just as Fay lost the battle against gravity, sending the two tumbling backwards off of the shelf with dual shrieks.

“O-Oh my!!” Rung cried as he stood out of his chair, stumbling over his own legs for a second before he caught the two in his servos. He was trembling slightly as he held them up, his face was creased with concern as he looked the two over. “Are you two alright?” he asked, gently brushing a thumb over each of them to check for injuries.

Between the two Fay had recovered enough to nod, taking deep breaths to calm down as she righted herself in his hand. “Y-Yeah, I think … I think we’re okay now,” she managed to say, giving him a small smile. Despite the short but frightening fall, they had achieved their goal and got him under the vent. “Thanks for the save there!”

“That’s a relief,” he said. “For a moment I was worried that–”

It was faint, but it was loud enough to give Rung pause as the three turned to look at the door. Scratching and scraping of metal against metal echoed down the hallway, steadily gaining in volume as it drew closer to the office. “What in the Celestial Spires is tha–?”

The sight of metal blades–no, talons–slicing through the steel on both sides of the door brought forth a shriek from the women, a guttural cry reaching their ears as they clung to each other.

“W-What the –?!”

With the screech of metal being torn from the wall the door was bashed in by a set of four silver tendrils. Rung barely had enough time to jump back away from the fallen barrier with a yelp, his hands reaching up to cradle the two humans against his chassis. There, looming in the doorway, stood the very creature of nightmares, its pale green optics cold and empty as it gazed upon the trio. Acidic saliva dripped from its gaping maw, melting the floor beneath its pedes as it stepped inside, its head jerking slightly as though it were more machine than alive. The tendrils on its body spread throughout the room, effectively blocking any attempts to run past it towards the door. A low, rattling hiss filled the air as it drew closer, knowing that its prey was trapped.

The sparkeater released a bone-chilling howl that echoed through the room, the sound near deafening as Rung hunched over the terrified women to shield them.

“Come here, Eyebrows!” an unfamiliar voice said with a grunt as a blue limb reached down from the ceiling, yanking Rung up by his arm and pulling the three to safety just as the sparkeater lunged. There was a resounding crash down below, followed by a roar of frustration. “Come on, move!” Skids said as he nudged the psychiatrist forward, keeping himself between the three and the open vent.

“Thanks for the save,” Rung said, allowing Jay and Fay to climb onto his shoulders and cling to his neck so he could move more freely. “How did you know we were in trouble?”

“The terrified screams kinda gave it away,” came the slightly mocking response.

Even as they moved away from the office, Jay managed to peer between the combined bulk of the two bots and saw the sparkeater pull itself up with its tendrils. Feeling her heart leap in her throat, even knowing that they would still get away, she couldn’t keep herself from shouting, “MOVE!! That thing’s right behind us!!”

“We gotta keep going!” Fay agreed frantically.

A soft chime chirped through the air, causing the humans to jump in surprise while Rung looked at his side. “Wait, I’ve got an incoming message,” he told them, the tri-screen data-pad swinging around to the front before the screen clicked on.

The familiar image of Rodimus’ handsome face appeared as he said, “It’s Rung, right?” (there was a distinct ‘tsk!’ from Fay) “Oh good! You’ve got the humans with you! Anyway, Ultra Magnus says you might have a sparkeater on your tail, in which case I’m sorry. We thought everyone would be safe in their rooms, but it seems the hab suite doors are a lot thinner than the ones down here …”

While Fay was listening in to the conversation, Jay bit her lip and kept glancing back behind them. The vents were small enough that it couldn’t move as freely or as fast as it could in the corridors, but that meant they were moving slower too. Thankfully Skids and Rung kept going as well, though at an admittedly slower pace now that they were answering a call.

“Listen, Rung,” Rodimus’ voice broke through her thoughts, “I need you to do something for me. I need you to head down here to the engine rooms, and bring the sparkeater with you. I’ll be waiting.” He must’ve noticed the look on Rung’s face and added, “Don’t worry! I’ve got a plan–and it’s a cracker!”

With that, the data pad clicked off, leaving the three of them to sit in horrified silence. That is, until Skids broke it with a wry grin and said, “Congratulations! How does it feel to be used as bait?” The thumbs-up didn’t help either.

“As fine and dandy as all that sounds,” Fay began.

“We need to go, and we need to go NOW!” Jay finished, pointing over their shoulders at the approaching sparkeater. It took only a single glance back for the bots to see that the monster was almost upon them–so close they could practically taste their untimely demise!

They crawled further down the vent system until Skids stopped them at a panel in the side of the wall. “Okay, so the quickest way to the engine rooms … ” With a powerful kick, Skids sent the panel flying down into the abyss as they peered down after it. “ … is down the elevator shaft.” His hand retracted and was immediately replaced by a tri-hooked tool.

“How come you get a grappling hook and all I get is a thumb with a microphone in it?” Rung asked, sounding both impressed and disappointed at the same time.

“A thumb with a–?” Skids shook his head in confusion before he added, “Wow. No wonder our friend is so interested in you. Speaking of which … ” He grabbed onto Rung and pulled his arms over his shoulders, the two humans immediately clinging to whatever surface they could reach as he jumped out of the vent. “It’s time we made a move!”

The sparkeater roared as it swiped at empty air, the grappling hook shooting past its head until it snared something solid above. While Rung clung onto the theoretician for dear life, Jay was tucked tightly against his neck cables and Fay had somehow managed to cling to the underside of Skids’ hood. Their hair whipped wildly around them in the rushing wind, leaving the two breathless and a little bit motion-sick. It was like the ride with Rodimus all over again, but instead they were going to fall to their death, Jay was sure of it. However, with a resounding THUNK they landed on top of the elevator, Rung falling on his skid-plate while Skids managed to land pede-first.

Skids popped open the panel just beneath his pedes, peering inside with Fay only to be greeted by a startled Brainstorm. “Engine rooms,” Skids demanded, managing to squeeze himself and Rung through the opening and dropping to the floor.

Confused and just a bit surprised at the sight of the tiny human clinging to his helm, Brainstorm asked, “What’s going on? It’s Skids, righ-?”

Panic, and adrenaline rushing through her veins, Fay–in a rare loss of control–snapped, “Just take us to the damn engine rooms!

There was a brief moment where she could feel Skids’ optics raze over her skin in surprise but maybe due to the chaos and impending danger, he didn’t say anything to her.

Startled by the sharp command, Brainstorm keyed the button that would start the elevator in its descent. It had only gone a few floors down before something heavy landed on the ceiling, claws tearing back the roof like a tin can to reveal the sparkeater once more. Screams of terror and shock filled the elevator before Skids pried open the door, immediately pushing Rung through the partial opening as he shouted, “Go! Go!”

“But Brainstorm’s trapped!” Rung protested.

“No! We can’t leave him!” Fay cried out even as Skids pushed her back into Rung’s servos with Jay.

The grim expression on his face said it all as he looked down at them. “Then I’m sorry,” he said, “he’s already dead.”

While the words hadn’t meant to be so harsh, they still sent a pang of guilt through her chest as they moved further away from the elevator and the screams of terror. Silent tears slid down their cheeks as the women clung to one another, praying that the sparkeater would leave Brainstorm alone like it had in the comics. It was then that it finally sank in that this wasn’t just a fun world they had come to love and enjoy: this was real. Being surrounded and having the chance to meet their favorite characters should have been the best thing to have ever happened to them. But the gruesome, dangerous horrors that the Lost Light crew had faced over and over again wasn’t just some story to them anymore, and the very real threat of them dying in the crossfire … if the characters here could die, what could possibly keep them from suffering the same fate?

“Rung! Over here!” Rodimus’ voice called out, breaking through their thoughts as they looked up. He was standing next to the generator, a familiar looking mech embedded in its shell.

In a blur of speed and a yelp from Skids, the two women found themselves plucked from Rung’s shaking servos and held against a white chassis. “Hey!” Skids yelled indignantly, a sword pressed up against his neck cables while Rung was forced to run towards his captain.

“Stand down,” an unfamiliar voice ordered as the two looked up, realizing that it was Drift that was holding them and preventing Skids from entering the room. “This is all part of the plan.”

“Why you –” Skids growled, though with a sword pressed against his throat he wasn’t in any real position to argue, even as the sparkeater pushed past the four towards Rung and Rodimus.

“Hurry up, ugly – your dinner’s getting cold feet,” Rodimus’ voice called out, the sparkeater hissing as it lunged for them. At the last second he pushed Rung out of the way, grabbing the sparkeater by the arms and slamming the beast into the generator. “Now Perceptor! Now!” he shouted even as the spark eater’s tendrils had started wrapping around his neck and arms, his near death grip on its neck being the only thing keeping it at bay.

Engines roared to life around them as the ship moved, Fay and Jay falling flat against Drift’s chassis as he curled his servo protectively around them and their world becoming a strange mix of off-white colors. It felt like they were on a demented carnival ride, their stomachs leaving them far behind as the ship initiated the quantum jump. After what felt like an eternity it stopped, the world returning to normal and the two flopping into Drift’s waiting servo with a grunt. Dizzy and a little queasy, the two sat up with twin groans of discomfort before they managed to regain their senses enough to look up and see what had just happened.

The sparkeater was little more than partially exposed limbs, its tentacles lying limp on the floor. Rodimus was smirking the whole time, even with his arms embedded in the engine with the sparkeater. Everyone moved closer to inspect the results, baffled that it had worked and astonished that it had worked. “Wow!” Drift gasped in awe, a grin of respect and delight on his face. “That was just–wow!

Skids gave a low whistle as he peered around the corner of the engine and said, “And I thought I was the risk taker.”

Rodimus turned towards the admirative crowd, but his optics landed on Jay’s own brown eyes as she ogled him like he was her entire universe. Something sparked like electricity in that instant, so when his lips curled into a sly grin and he uttered, “First rule of interstellar travel: never stand next to a quantum generator when it’s about to flout the laws of physics,” Jay could have sworn that she had been set aflame.

First Chapter

Jason Todd: Family and Fiancé

Imagine having a family dinner with the Batfam and they’re more than surprised to find out you’re Jason’s fiancé.

Warnings: Swearing

Prompt: “Where Jason shows up to the manor for family dinner with a girl and it’s the batfams first time meeting her and it turns out she’s Jason’s fiancé and they’d been dating for years but no one knew”

Today was the day, the night that could potentially scar you for life according to Jason Todd. Meeting his family for dinner was definitely a nerve wracking situation that you’d both avoided for as long as possible but Jason had decided seeing them was inevitable, so fully equipped with exciting news the two of you found yourselves standing in front of the exquisite entrance to Wayne Manor.
Seconds later, the door was opened and you were greeted by none other than Alfred.
“Ah Master Jason, Miss (y/n) I’m glad you could make it. Please come in.” The butler politely welcomed with a smile.
“Is that Jaybird?” An unfamiliar voice echoed from behind the butler.

“Jaybird?” You repeated to Jason, who stood beside you and he easily detected the mischief in your tone.
“Uh yeah, a nickname of mine around here.”
“Oh I’m definitely remembering that one!” Came your upbeat voice, clearly pleased with your new discovery.
The stranger that soon came in view turned out to be a raven haired male, slightly shorter than Jason but he wore a charming smile.
“Woah, I’m Dick Grayson - and you’re (y/n) was it? Such a beautiful name.” The stranger addressed cheerfully, he was good looking -you’d give him that.
With that he gently kissed your left hand, expression faltering for a second. Before you could even react Jason had basically tackled him, a string of curse words leaving his lips based on his brother’s previous action - of course they were only messing around. You didn’t question when Jason went chasing after his brother since he could get a little hot headed sometimes, this left you with none other than Damian Wayne and Alfred, the former you’d recognised from the newspapers.

“Are you Jason’s significant other?” The boy asked, straight to the point just as Jason had described.
“That I am, and you’re Damian Wayne if I’m not mistaken. Pleased to meet you, my name is (y/n) (l/n).” Was your casual response, offering a hand as a greeting.
Damian had a surprisingly firm handshake but you expected nothing less from the son of Bruce Wayne who you had yet to meet.
“Well I respect you for being able to put up with Todd for so long (l/n). Would you like me to show you to the lounge to meet the others whilst Pennyworth prepares our meal?” Damian asked, of course making sure to insult his brother in the process.
“Please, that’d be great considering Jason had just disappeared on me.” You replied gratefully, allowing the boy to lead you through his home.
“That’s a common trait in our family, trust me.” Damian muttered, his tone as emotionless as ever.

Meanwhile, Dick had managed to get Jason wrapped up in a family discussion concerning the ring you wore on you left hand, a ring that suggested you were either married or engaged. The family had seemed bewildered once Dick told them after bursting into the room, Jason following with a bored expression that only morphed into a glare once Dick opened his mouth. Unfortunately he was unable to get a word in once the whole Batfam had insinuated you were cheating on your partner because the idea of Jason proposing never once crossed their minds - this was the first time they’d even met you, Jason would introduce his partner to them beforehand. Jason and yourself obviously knew different.

“Jason! She’s a married woman, she’s cheating on someone - that’s not a good thing.” Bruce sternly voiced, deciding against beating around the bush.
“Ok, first off she’s not married - (y/n) is engaged and secondly -” Jason tried, a feeble attempt at explaining your situation before he was interrupted.
“Right because being engaged makes it that much better? Jason how could you bring (y/n) along knowing about this?” Bruce groaned, fully aware of how irrational his son could be at times.
“Wow Bruce. As funny as this is, I’m gonna have to put a stop to it. I know (y/n) is engaged since we’ve been together for years and I brought her along because I love her and wanted you to meet her.” Your fiancé began for a second time.
Years?! Oh boy, that’s great but I bet (y/n) says ‘I love you’ to her fiancé every night and look where we are now.” Tim concluded, gesturing with hands to emphasise his point.
“They’re right, I do say that actually.” Came your calm tone as you made your presence to the minor dispute well known, you came to a stop beside Jason. Damian letting out a sigh due to his families antics.

“(Y/n)…” Cassandra mindfully acknowledged in the midst of the chaos, holding out her hand as a from of greeting, she’d yet to meet you so why not now.
“Are you two sure about this? I get that you’re happy but it’s not fair on her fiancé.” The eldest brother, Dick, continued after your attention was momentarily distracted.
“I’m pretty sure he’s ok with it to be honest.” You grinned, a hint of sarcasm laced your voice as you looked to Jason for reassurance.
“What?! You’re engaged and he’s alright with this?” Tim practically squeaked whilst frantically gesturing between yourself and Jason.
“For fucks sake! (Y/n) is engaged to me.”

The whole room fell silent as they took in the new information in an awestruck fashion, it would be an understatement to say they were shocked - Jason was the last person they’d expect to get engaged.
Dick was the first to break the silence as he broke out into sparkling grin to engulf you both in an enthusiastic hug.
“Congratulations! That’s great Jay, I’m so happy for you both and sorry for uh - you know - jumping to conclusions but it’s really nice to meet you (y/n), good job at keeping Jaybird here in check!” Dick praised, excitement ringing through his voice after the genuine apology whilst the others still remained in a state of confusion.
“How come we’ve never met (y/n) before, you could’ve at least introduced us Jason.” Tim complained as he shook your hand, giving you a brief smile before turning his attention back to his brother.
“Can you blame me? I didn’t want to scare (y/n) away, especially with Demon Spawn over there.” Jason muttered, sending a glare to the youngest who was basically analysing you at this point until he heard the unoriginal insult thrown at him.

With a light nudge from yourself, you’d gained your fiancé’s attention as well as that of his family, you were new and none of them knew you as a person yet making everything you did stand out in some way.
“Back off Jay, Damian has been nothing but polite this evening and besides they couldn’t scare me away after all the shit you and I have been through.” You defended the youngest of the family with ease, despite knowing exactly what he was capable of.
“(Y/n) whose side are you on? Remember who you’re marrying here.” Your fiancé cut in, his tone holding a hint of amusement, Damian simply smirked.
“Well Jaybird, according to your family it’s not you.” Your response was half hearted, receiving a laugh from Jason and a few of the other family members but of course they felt a pang of guilt zip through them.

Though you were joking, the rest of the family had realised their mistake and started to feel responsible, except Damian who had miraculously taken a liking to you in recent minutes.
“I would like to apologise for jumping to conclusions (y/n), it’d be best to start afresh so it’s nice to finally meet you. And congratulations of course.” Bruce started, offering you his hand, his statement was soon followed by a string of apologies from your future in-laws.
“Don’t worry about it, I suppose it’ll be a great story to tell the kids -” You cheerfully responded, before you were cut off that is.
“Oh my god! Don’t tell me you guys have children - that’s so cute! I’m basically an auntie!” Came the joyful voice of Stephanie, Bruce’s face significantly paling whilst Dicks in contrast completely lit up at the news.
No, we don’t have children, (y/n) is not pregnant - it was just a figure of speech, now please can we go and eat?!” Jason exasperatedly groaned, putting an end to his family’s assumptions.

Soon you were all seated at the dinner table, a delicious looking meal prepared by Alfred set in front of you, casual conversation filled the air with members of the family shooting questions at both you and Jason every so often regarding your relationship.
“How has your fiancé, Master Jason been treating you Miss (y/n)?” The butler kindly inquired whilst pouring you a beverage.
“Eh, he’s actually amazing Alfred, you clearly rubbed off on him.” You replied, earning a smile from the elderly man as the table suddenly became silent.

“Wait - you told Alfred and not us?” Dick stammered, realising that Alfred wasn’t in the room previously where this matter was discussed so would of been oblivious to the situation plus he knew you by name before you’d even introduced yourself.
Duh.” Jason smugly answered, relishing in the families astonishment and displeasure.

I loooooooved your cole headcanons especially the Les miserables ones! Do you have anymore?

kakdakks thank you, I don’t think you understand how much I love this boy ❤

I refer back to a few from this post so if you haven’t seen it

  • Eyebrows™
    • Jay: what the hell are you doing?
Cole: I am doing my eyebrows.
Jay: that’s a big ass mirror.
Cole: I have big ass, eyebrows.
    • “My brows are bigger than my future”
    • Nya: cole please just let me pluck one of your eyebrows
Cole: if you take my source of power I will be rendered useless in battle and you will all die without me

  • One time they shrunk his favourite t shirt in the washing so he cut the sleeves off and wore it as a crop top

  • Emo teen phase?? Emo teen phase.
    • “I’m just trying to look like my HERO, JOE JONAS.”
    • He pierced his own ear and then cried because it hurt so he took it out. Don’t worry he got both pierced properly when he was older.
    • You think he has emo hair now you should’ve seen it before
    • Sometimes it still surfaces:
Nya: Wu, how did unlock your full potential?
Wu: well you see, when I was a young boy-
Cole: *bursts through the door* MY FATHER, TOOK ME INTO THE CITY, TO SEE A MARCHING BAND
    • They had to do a time capsule when they were at school and Cole’s dream job was to be a full time employee at Hot Topic

  • Cole had braces and unfortunately didn’t burn all photographic evidence so his dad literally shows everyone that comes round ever.
    • “Look how straight his teeth are now!!” “Dad the milkman does not care about my teeth now please get your hands off my mouth”

  • He learnt from shaving his head last time, so he ties it up a lot until he can get a proper haircut. Is he the most beautiful boy you’ve ever seen? Yes.

  • “Cole how do you like your coffe?” “As black as my soul.”

  • Child: wow I wanna be just like you when I grow up!!
Cole: haha you mean dead inside?
    Child: ???
Cole: haha, yo u mean,, super strong??

  • *Skulkin running at ninja*
Nya: Cole, I need you to buy me some time!
Cole: how exactly am I supposed to- NYA NO COME BACK
Cole: what would my hero Joe Jonas do…. I know! *Jumps in front of skulkin* STOP!
    Skulkin: ???
Cole: … *bursts into an impromptu dance battle*

  • Les mis for you my friend:
    • Eponine is his fave ok he’s like “girl I feel you I too would take a bullet for Marius"
    • No seriously Eponine is his girl, one time he was just in his room singing “on my own” while looking out the window at the rain really getting into it. Nya walks by and bursts out laughing and Cole is like IT’S EMOTIONAL OK and Nya is like nah I think she needs to get over him and stop whining tbh and Cole is like >:O !!! And doesn’t talk to her for a week. When she tries to apologise she gets a 3 hour lecture on how Eponine’s bravery and sacrifice clearly makes her the best character in the musical.
    • Also I’m cry @eyeofthewolfe did one of the best covers of on my own here pls listen to it she’s so talented
    • Kai was trying to convince Wu to let him fight garmadon and he got really mad and told him no, and it was silent for a while until Kai started singing “I dreamed a dream in time gone byyyyyy” and Cole screamed for 27 seconds solid and swears it was the best day of his life
    • Wu: Jay something needs picking up from the store, you need to go get it
Cole, quietly: look down, look down, you’ll always be a slave…
    • Once they were literally going stir crazy when no one needed saving so they re-enacted the entire musical themselves
    • so @theninjaofcake sent me this video of a young boy playing Val Jean and was like it baby theatre Cole!!! And I have never agreed with anything more in my life

  • I know it’s not technically a musical but Moulin Rouge is his favourite film. It’s one of the only films that will make him cry every time without fail

  • When he first gets his super strength he keeps forgetting he has it so they’ll be like “hey can you toss me that pen” and he’s like “oh sure” *throws pen half way across ninjago*
    • Alternatively:
Cole: *excitedly runs to Jay’s room* JAY GUESS WHAT *rips off door*
      you need help Cole
      Cole: I know

  • Literally my favourite thing about season 7 is when Cole is like “uhhhh oops new hands!!!” and drops the cup on the floor when he doesn’t wanna drink it, so I’m sure he does it all the time.
    • Jay: cole help me carry this box it’s really heavy
      Cole: oh sure  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
      *halfway up the stairs*
      Cole: oh no ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I suddenly am losing feeling in my hands ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Cole: oOPS NEW HANDS ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) *drops box on jay*
Jay, from the bottom of the stairs under a smashed box with the contents scattered on the floor: I hate you. I really really hate you. Were it not for the laws of this land I would have slaughtered you.

  • Cole is so good at getting himself out of trouble. He tried to heat up an entire carton of milk, still in the carton, in the microwave and blew it up and somehow managed to convince sensei that it was Kai.
    • He was rumbled when he tried to blame something on Zane and Zane was like D: and Cole was like “no I can’t do this it was me I’m a filthy liar, Zane I’m so sorry bby"

  • He will not call a villain by their real name.
    • “Well if it isn’t grannydon”
    • “If pyth-whore shows up one more time I am going to bitch slap him into next Thursday”
    • “Oh hello bore-o. Stinky ghost boy. Go steal the realm crystal ugly.” “Cole you’re also a ghost” “yeah but I’m not STINKY”

  • I mentioned that he hated singing and dancing because he was forced into it and it wasn’t what he wanted to do with his life, but now that he’s grown and he’s happy with who he is he really appreciates the talent he’s been given. He enjoys it when he’s just singing because he wants to and not cause he was forced. So now thank you for the music is his anthem

  • As you’ve seen from my previous list he is gay but will he hit on girls that Kai is trying to hit on just to get on his nerves?? Absolutely

  • Wu: Cole why is your jacket moving what have you got in there?
    Cole, sweating: n othing,,,
    Cole’s jacket: *barks*
Wu: he followed you home. In your jacket.
    • *Later*
Jay: how come Wu let you keep a puppy
Cole: because he agreed that there should be someone else living here that’s as beautiful as me since none of you are clearly anywhere near our level
he doesn’t know he’s still here does he
Cole: no and if you tell him I’ll tell Nya that her favourite pair of pants went missing because you tried them on and got stuck and had to cut them off

  • Cole: you’re back from your date early
    Kai: I got stood up
Cole: aw that sucks… do you think they walked in, took one look at you and then changed their mind?

  • He makes fun of them all the time but they know he’s just messing. He would actually commit murder for his friends if anyone hurt them

  • Drinks his respecting women juice 3 times a day

  • Cole doesn’t get sick. Well he does, but he refuses to accept it.
    • “Cole you’ve had like 2 hours sleep and you can barely stand, go home" “not to fear, I drank an entire bottle of cough syrup so I am A-OK” *passes out*

  • Wu: Cole where’s my tea?
Cole: idk where’s my mom? >:/
    Wu: … that’s fair

  • Cole: I’m telling my mom on you
    Jay: you don’t have one
Cole: fine then I’m telling your mom
    Jay: I don’t have a mom either
    Jay: I’m adopted

Jason Todd Imagine

Pairing: Jason Todd x Reader

14. “Jason, you need to calm down okay!” + 29. “I just want to protect you!” + 23. “Are you scared of me?”

Requested by:

Warnings: Angst I hope.

“Hey, Jay, I’m going to meet with some friends,” you called already standing with your shoes on at the door.
He looked at you.
No nod, just tensed muscles.
“I’m back in three hours,” you blew him a kiss and left.

You had noticed his strange behaviour for a while now.
Jason was always at your place and every time you said you go out, even if it was just to the supermarket down the road he got stiff.
You didn’t mind him being around, heck, you loved this boy, plus you could guess why he was acting like this and how could you possibly blame him.

Joker broke out of Arkham Asylum. Again. And the moment Jason heard it… it was like a switch being pushed.

You hated to feel the way you did. This silent voice at the back of your head telling you to run as fast as you can.
Jason was not dangerous, well, he was, but not to you, you knew that.

Still, people did stupid things because of love, because of fear.

“Jay, I was not murdered, just robbed,” you said rolling your eyes.
It had to happen.
On your way back home this dude came up to you and held a gun at your face, asking for your money.
But who was there to ‘save’ you? Red Hood.

“The Wayne’s have just been robbed, too, (Y/N)!” He hissed, walking up and down in front of the tv. “You could be dead now if I wouldn’t have been around.”

“Around? You have been watching me the whole time and you realize, though, that you can not always watch me, right?”

“I can!” He snapped.

“I don’t want that! Jason, I’m not helpless!”

He didn’t say anything, leaving the room.
Jason was boiling inside.
His heart ached by the simple thought of you dying. He knew how it was to die.
He cringed thinking about the gun pointed at you.
Jason knew he had to protect you…  at all costs….

….A few hours later you woke up in a bed that wasn’t yours neither Jason’s. You didn’t even remember falling asleep.
Plus you were still wearing your street clothes.
You told yourself to stay calm.
Panic was not making anything better even though the voice at the back of your mind was screaming.
Your hands reached for the pockets of your jeans, searching for your phone, but what a surprise it was gone.
Your feet placed in front of each other as silently as possible as you walked to the window only to find out it was locked.
You took a deep breath, leaving the dark room and walking down a long hallway until you stood in the kitchen.
A bunch, like a lot of bags stood on the counter and ground and as you looked what was inside of them the voice screamed even louder.
It was all kinds of food you loved.
Your feet moved you out of the kitchen into the living room and as you saw a bunch of your clothes and the red helmet… you listened to the voice, running past the front door, but before you could check if it was locked, too, it was pushed open and Jason walked in.

Your chest was rising and falling rapidly as you looked at him, “what’s going on?”

He turned the lights on. “It’s saver here,” he said and took a step towards you and for his surprise you tumbled back, holding your arm out to keep him on distance.

“You,” your mind was racing now, your heart beating against your chest. “You will bring me home now, Jason.”

“No,” he tried to reach out for you, but you, as stupid as it may was, ran to the nearest window, checking if it was opened. “(Y/N)…”

“You kidnapped me, Jason!”

“It’s necessary. You’re only save with–”

“Are you insane?!”

“JOKER IS FUCKING OUT THERE, (Y/N)!! YOU DON’T KNOW THE THINGS I DO!” He yelled, making you flinch.

“You need to calm down, Jason… okay?” You tried to be calm hoping he’d be calm. “B-before we dated… I m-mean, I was– This is Gotham, Jason. Life g-goes on no matter if Joker is in or out of Arkham.
You cannot kidnap me,” you couldn’t make eye contact with him, thinking if you would he would jump at you like a predictor at his pray.

His heavy breathing was filling the room. “I JUST WANT TO PROTECT YOU!” Jason hissed at you, making you wish you would be able to sink into the wall behind you.

And that’s when he noticed. Your trembling bottom lip, your wide eyes, shaking knees and tensed muscles. He took a step back in shock. “Are… Are you scared of me?” His voice cracked.

“You are, you seem a little unpredictable right now,” you whispered, looking to the ground and nod.

There was silence laying over the room and you jumped at the dull noise that broke it.
Jason fell to his knees, hands pulling at his hair while tiny sobs in between of heavy breathing left his mouth.

You on the other hand stopped breathing completely for some second. You had never seen him like this before.
You knew he was haunted by nightmares and you knew he had demons to fight, you knew he felt a lot, but seeing it all spill out was another story.

You kneel down in front of him, wrapping your shaky arms around him carefully.

“I can’t help myself,” he sobbed. “His laugh… It’s everywhere, (Y/N).

“Shh,” you pulled him closer. Was there at all anything you could say? Anything that could soothe his pain?
He never showed you how bad it was. Never told you.
You could have predicted that something like this eventually would happen.
He buried his face into your shoulder. You felt his tears soak through your shirt.

Jay Halstead has to be wondering what he did to piss the world off by now. Like, let’s think about this using as many canon events that I can think of. Feel free to add to the list if I forget anything.

  1. He feels guilty for the death of his ex-girlfriends little brother.
  2. Then he get blamed for killing the guy that did it, despite the fact that he didnt, (he probably wanted to though)
  3. His team exhiles him (all except for two,) leaving Jay to figure out who actually killed Lonnie without any of his normal resources.
  4. (backing up a little bit) He gets shot trying to save Molly’s,..
  5. …then broken up with while still sitting on a stretcher.
  6. He is constantly butting heads with his boss over a relationship that hasn’t even come to fruition yet, (much to his polite disdain)
  7. After Benbenek brother number one decided to take a shot at him (word to the wise, don’t take a shot at Jay) ((furthermore, it was a good shoot)) Oscar Benbenek decides to put a sizable bounty over Jay’s head.
  8. Jay’s apartment gets broken into. (just because he was doing his job)
  9. His friend gets shot because of him (Just Because He Was Doing His Job)
  10. He gets kidnapped to try and stop a literal assassin that is trying to kill him. (JUST BECAUSE HE DOING HIS JOB)
  11. Then proceeds to cry in guilt in the hospital, alone.
  12. At some point he finds out Erin is leaving intelligence. Gets with her. She comes back to intelligence, she gets ‘cold feet’ after Nadia’s death, ends it.
  13. Feels guilty over sending Nadia out to get Erin’s cake, but decides that Erin is the one who needs comforting, even though he feels to blame
  14. Tries to prevent Erin from going down a path he knows she’ll regret. Fails. Believes he is to blame.
  15. Gets kidnapped because (shocker) he was just trying to put some bad guys in jail while doing his job.
  16. Gets tortured by these same bad guys. (Cattle prods look like they suuuuck)
  17. Beat all to hell. Still manages to fight a guy with his ahnds tied behind his back.
  18. Loses a close friend (feels guilty over it) because he was literally right there when Terry got shot and there wasn’t anything he could do to prevent it.
  19. Is accused of sleeping with a teenage girl.
  20. The woman who he got married to while in a bad time in his life comes back into his life. He is flooded with memories and decides that he needs to deal with himself before he burdens Erin.
  21. His girlfriend, who he is domesticated with, suddenly leaves him, when he’s about to propose to her. He is heartbroken.
  22. Suddenly he is alone
  23. Then he accidentally shoots a little girl.
  24. Feels so guilty. There are tears involved.
  25. After all this, Jay’s mind is slowly regressing back into his survival mode
  26. Suffers from PTSD
  27. Has troubles sleeping and has nightmares when he does
  28. Loses a man who he actually trusted while the two attempt to save a little boy. (Succeeded.)
  29. Goes undercover in a kidnapping ring developed from former soldiers. Most of them pretty fucked up in the head.
  30. Tries to do CPR on a man who was just shot in the head.
  31. Has issues with his father for some unknown reason.
  32. Had issues with his brother.
  33. And his mother has died.
  34. Spent 7 months in a stupor after his deployment where he admittedly did nothing but drink, smoke, fight, and presumably sleep.

•Cole & Jay

-“Uh, hi.”

-“Master of blabber–” “LiGhTnInG”

-Cole seems really intent on looking for Wu. he was the first student after all.

-“We could look totally different!”

i think, personally, that time literally has changed because Wu is somewhere in time, and because time is so fucked up, the ninja have changed because of that mini rupture in it. so they literally do look different, but not just because of the movie, and they can’t tell. because Time™.

-Cole notably says, “I’m tired of losing people in my life.” alright who’s he lost ever: his mom, zane, garmadon, his own fucking humanity, nya (though he doesn’t know it)…god. i…protect him. im excited they made this line obvious because that means it’ll come up in the season though!

-“You just judge and act like you know everything!”

jay is…worked up about losing Wu too. so in a very jay-like way, he takes out his sadness on cole.

-and let’s analyze this quote and how it pertains to Cole’s character though. he often does stand to the side and say things but the other half of the time he’s just as willing to help, like he is now with Wu. acting like he knows everything? cole’s often the one who wants to keep it simple, but that could be taken as “I know better than to make it difficult.” i dunno. im over-thinking this. but jay often does look for a way to be mad and put blame on others.

-this duo has always been cute ngl!!

—THE B-LIST BAD GUY!! they actually have like B-list baddies like they do in marvel and dc! that honestly was so funny to see that at last. and he’s pretty cool. he’s like the Heatwave of ninjago. love to see it.

-kai actually looks so fucking nice. seeing the scar actually on his face was so refreshing. it looks more correct but im still pissed about how weird his hair is…

we have a LOT. to theorize about how the fuck he does THIS:

WHAT THE HELL?? i don’t understand the point. ALSO if you look closely at Picture Two on the left side of his forehead there’s a little scar-ish thing? isn’t that interesting. he also has bow n arrows look at the right side of him aaaaa love to see it!

CONCLUSION: it actually looks really nice. they did what was expected for the movie-TV cross design thing?? but?? one somehow noticeable difference is the eyes. the eyes are somehow different and I can’t place it but it bothers me because it looks off. also. jay’s design is just so fucking different and it throws me off!! like!! that’s not jay! but he mentioned the ns4 tv host job!! like I’m shook–he looks younger than ever yet it’s the newest season. freaky.

anyway I have, personally, high hopes for this season: looks nice, good dynamics so far, c o l e…im looking forward to it. feel free to build off of this.

Request from Anonymous: Hello i’ve seen that there’s only a few loco scenarios and recently i can’t get enough of his cuteness oh damn. So can i request a scenario where you and loco’s taste on things and flavors are so contrast that you always bicker with one another outdoors but at home both of you are so adorably dork

Lo. Co. Lo. Co. Lo. Co. Lemme see that body gaga ;) anyway i hope you enjoy this short scenario xx

“Can I please get one scoop of the cookies and cream and umm one scoop of the double choc chip. Oh and in a cup please.”

You gave the cashier the money and took your ice-cream. Loco and yourself were meeting up with Gray and Simon D for lunch but they haven’t turned up yet so you went and got ice-cream first.

“Ice-cream before lunch? You’re a funny one,” Loco teased you. You stuck your tongue out at him. “Let me eat in peace, babe. Want some?” You put a spoonful of the double choc chip in front of his mouth.

“Nah. I don’t like that flavour, it’s too sweet,” he said as he moved his head away from your offer.

“Hey love birds,” Simon called out. He and Gray had finally arrived. “Sorry, we’re late. Jay wouldn’t shut up about his dogs.”

“His dogs are adorable. Don’t blame him,” you beckoned back at Simon.

“What are you guys doing?” Gray asked as he sat down opposite you.

“Loco doesn’t like my taste in ice-cream. He thinks ice-cream is too sweet.”

“It is but I still eat ice-cream. Just not those favours you have in that cup,” Loco pointed to your ice-cream.

“Right. Because you like them weird flavours. Who likes mint choc chip? Seriously. It’s like eating toothpaste with chocolate. Ugh.”

Loco was about to make another comment when Simon stopped him.

“Ahh you two are so annoying when you talk about food. Why can’t you just accept that each of you have different taste buds. Now can we order lunch. I’m starving.”

“Mmm this caesar salad looks good. Guys wait! Let me take a photo of our lunch first,” You took out your phone and started taking different angles of the food. Gray also took out his phone and started to Snapchat.

“Are you done, [Y/N]? I’m want to eat my food,” Simon whined.

“Ok, I’m done. You now may eat, boys.”

You ordered a chicken burger with a side of fries and Loco ordered a beef burger and also a side of fries. You like to dip your fries in tomato sauce so you reached for the sauce and squirted it on the empty side of your plate. Loco saw what you did and he scoffed.

“What?” you asked him.

“Fries don’t need extra flavour, babe. And if you were to dip fries into a sauce it should be a spicy mayo.”

Both Gray and Simon looked at each other and sighed.

“I like it with tomato sauce so can you just shut up. Let me eat what I like.”

“It’s not right.”

“I wouldn’t be talking for someone who likes to eat steam vegetables with just salt sprinkle on top. Ugh.”

“Hey! You said they were nice when I made them the other night.”

“Well…. I didn’t want to hurt your feelings.”

Loco moved his plated further away from yours.

“Aw babe, I’m sorry. Here, have some of my drink. It’s a lemon iced tea.”

Loco turned to you in disgust.

“Iced tea with burgers. Ugh. Babe, you know my favourite drink is vanilla milkshake.”

“I think this is the last time we go out to lunch with the both of you,” Simon said. “Gray and I can’t even eat in peace.”

“Seriously, I wonder how the two of you act at home. I’d imagined you two constantly bickering about every little thing.” Gray said as he took a bite of his burger.

“Hey look babe. I have a beard and a monobrow,” you poked your head out of the bathroom and showed Loco your foam beard and monobrow that you made from your foam cleanser. “Do you still find me attractive?”

Loco let out a big smile. “More than ever.”

Loco was gathering the dirty dishes when he heard you call him from the bathroom.

“Babe!” you yelled out. “I need help…”

Loco immediately set down the dirty dishes and went to see you.

“What is it?”

He saw that your head was bent down in the sink.

“The cleanser went into my eyes and it is stinging my eyes. Can you get me my face towel? I can’t open my eyes.”

Loco laughed at you.

“It’s right next to you, babe,” he said as he took you hand and guided it to the towel. It was literally right next to the sink.

Once you dried your face you noticed your eyes were red. Loco was still standing there and he was smiling at you.

“You look like you took drugs.”

“Your love is my drug.”

“Oh god, that was so cheesy. Don’t make me throw up dinner.”

You raise your hand to smack Loco across the chest but his reflex was faster than yours. He stopped your smack and leaned in to give a kiss on the lips.

“Gray was dead wrong thinking we would bicker when we’re home,” you said.

“What do you want to do now? I don’t have any work to do.” Loco asked you as he finished washing the dishes.

“I’m about to watch this week’s ep of Game of Thrones. Come join me,” you replied from the living room.

“Nooo, I don’t want watch tv. Can we do something else?” he asked as he sat down next to you.

“Fine, I can watch this tomorrow night then. Wanna play some board games?”

“Hmm, let’s play Snap. It’s more fun.”

“Snap? I haven’t played that in a long time. Do you even have a deck of cards?”

Loco stood up and went to look in the drawers.

“I should…Ah, here it is!”

“Okay, best of three? The winner gets to slap the loser.”

First round: You won.

Second round: Loco won.

Final round: You won.

“Yes!! Now.. where should I slap you?”

“Not my hands. It’s all red now, thanks to you. If it is still red tomorrow morning, the boys are going to make fun of me. Especially Jay.”

You smiled at him and wondered where to slap him. His face? His arms? His butt?

But you thought you’d do something different. You didn’t slap him but you pinched his cheeks instead.

Ruin The Friendship (part III)

Title: Ruin The Friendship (mini-series) Part 3

Word-Count: 6.3k

Pairing: Jay Park/ Reader (kinda)

Summary: Best friends to lovers. Inspired by Ruin The Friendship - Demi Lovato.

Genre: Smutty Fluff

Part 1 Part 2 Part 4

There’s a picture of me on Jay Park’s Instagram.

This wouldn’t be the first time. He used to post dumb pictures of me edited to look like I had a mustache or drawn on huge boobs. This picture isn’t like that. Taken the last night Jay was home almost a week ago, it’s hard to tell who exactly is in the picture. I’m lying on my chest, my bare back facing the camera while my hair fans out messily covering my face. Posted with a black and white filter, the photo looks too intimate to be just anyone.

He’d disabled the comment section so I’m spared any attack from some of his more “protective” fans. I reread the caption, unable to stop the silly grin from taking up my face. I look around making sure my assistant, Bora, isn’t around to tease me yet again for being infatuated.

As always, I miss her the most.

Jason Todd x Reader - Confessing

Jason confesses his love for the reader.

Why can’t he just tell you?
Why can’t he just walk up to you despite how perfect you look sitting on a rusty old cafeteria table with a book in your hands, hair flowing down your back that reminded him of glittering waters, and eyes that looked so focused yet full of hope he yearned for, and tell you just that?

He had enough of keeping it to himself for far too long. Nobody knew, and it hit him like a bullet through his chest when a hotter guy comes near you and he can’t do anything about it. Of course, you know better and gently turned them down. He’d smile because of that, but he’ll never let you know.

Until now.

He didn’t care if you didn’t feel the same. He didn’t care if he’ll be rejected and turned down after all those years of friendship, when you’ve been the only one who’s ever shown him any kindness no one thinks he deserved.

So, with a churning stomach and tightening throat, he found himself almost three feet away from you before you raised your head and smiled at him.

“Hi, Jay”

This was gonna be the death of him. You’re eyes were sparkling more than usual, and it always sent him weak to his knees whenever that happend.

He cleared his throbbing throat, “Hey.”
He took a seat beside you.

“So,” you started, “what’s up-”

“I gotta tell you something…”

Your eyes lit up, almost in shock since he never usually spoke in that tone.

“Sure. What is it?”

He didn’t want to waste any more time. This was it. This was now.

Fuck. He wished it wasn’t so hard.

He took too long to respond, still staring at the ground blankly while you looked around you out of confusion.

“What’s wrong?”

“I-” he sounded, “Promise me you won’t freak out and abandon me. But…” his voice was enough to break you in half “I won’t blame you if you do.”

You shook your head and gently took his hand. It was warm, and somehow, the touch of your palms made him want to feel more of your silky, perfectly soft skin.

“Jay, I’d never do that.” You tried catching his eyes but he won’t let you, “now tell me what’s wrong. You’re scaring me.”

He took a long deep breath.

His hands were shaking. His heart was beating out of his chest. His state wasn’t ideal for what he was doing but once he looked up and caught your eyes, it seemed like it was the one thing he should have done a long time ago.

To your surprise, his fingers came up to brush a strand of your hair across your cheek.

And that made you freeze this time.

“I love you.”

Your heart stopped.

Your jaw slightly dropped open and your eyes shot up just as he looked down.

“Not just as a friend. Though at this point, you’ve been my only friend. And I guess this was a huge gamble since losing you would mean eternal lonliness but I don’t care. That’s how I feel. And I wanted you to know that.”

You still couldn’t formulate any form of word in your head.

“I love you. I always have. And it’s okay if you don’t feel the same. I just-”

Then his whole world stopped spinning, the gears in his mind stopped working, everyone else around you stopped existing, when you grabbed his collar and pressed his lips hard against yours.

Now he was in a daze, and it took you long before you pulled away, smiled, and said, “I love you, too”

Consequences of your Mistakes

Boy: Carlos but like also Jay

Summary: As requested here is the second part to ‘Stone Cold.’ Reader moves on with Jay, Carlos isn’t too happy with it.

Warnings: friendship breaking up ? idk

masterlist // request imagines here // part 1 to this imagine

“Y/N, Wait up!” You heard the familiar voice of Jay call out to you as you walked out of class. You couldn’t say you weren’t surprised as you haven’t really spoken to Jay since you broke up with Carlos. He was only your friend through Carlos so when you two broke up it didn’t make sense for you two to stay friends.

“Hey Jay, what’s up?” You asked sweetly.

“I, I was just uh wondering if you wanted to you know like go out sometime?” He managed to ask. Is jay asking me out?!

“Like a date?”

“Yeah, like a date. Unless you don’t want it to be a date…”

“No, no it’s not that it’s just-“

“You used to date my best friend, yeah but don’t worry I already asked him and he doesn’t care.” He told you and you felt your heart sink, of course he doesn’t care if I go out with someone else.

“Sure, I’d love to go with you. You still have my number?” You asked to which he just nodded, “Cool, text me.” You said before kissing his cheek and walking away with a bright smile on your face.

Tonight at 7? Your phone lit up with a text from Jay a few hours since your he asked you out. You instantly replied with a yes.

“Who’s texting you that’s making you smile like that?” Evie asked whilst you two were sat in her dorm, she working on dresses and you doing homework.

“Jay, we have a date tonight.” You smiled.

“Wait what?! Since when are you dating Jay?” She asked leaving her sketchbook on the desk and walking over to you.

“He asked me out a few hours ago.” You explained.

“And he already texted you? He must like you a lot, usually Jay waits like a few days before texting a girl.” She told you and you heart warmed at those words, “But what about Carlos?”

“Jay said that he doesn’t care. And why would he? He has Jane.” You reminded her, though you realized for the first time, it didn’t feel like a million bricks on your heart when you said that.

“I’m not too sure about that. I heard them today at lunch in a pretty big fight and Mal said that Carlos said he wants to break up with her.” She recounted to you and your eyes shot open.

“But he was so in love with her!”

“People change their minds, Y/N. Maybe he wants you back.” She said.

“Well I don’t want him back. He hurt me too much for me to trust him again.” You stated, “And besides, I’m moving on with Jay.”

Jay was at your dorm right on 7, well actually 6:57pm, “Hey Jay.” You smiled at him. He looked really nice, he wore nice collared shirt with dress pants.

“Hey, Y/N. You look beautiful.” He smiled looking you up and down. Having Evie as a best friend had it’s perk including beautiful dresses.

“Thank you, you’re not to bad to yourself. You ready?” You asked.

“Yep, let’s go. I was thinking we could have a picnic by the beach?” He suggested as you two walked down the hallway.

“Sounds perfect.” You replied.

“Good cause I already prepared all the food.” He laughed

You two made it to the beach and he set it up perfectly, it looked so beautiful. You two ate and talk and got to know each other better because whilst you were in a relationship with Carlos you never really spent any time alone with Jay. You found out so much about him that made you like him even more.

Jay had set up the picnic on the hill just above the beach, which meant you still had a perfect view or the beach and shore. Which also meant you saw Carlos, on his evening jog along the beach. You prayed he didn’t notice you two guys. But he did, he stopped in his tracks and looked up at the hill with the regret in his eyes. Carlos knew that he had said it was okay for Jay to ask you out it doesn’t mean he was happy with it, it just meant he was trying to be a good friend. And in his defense, he didn’t know the same day he said yes to his best friend asking out his ex-girlfriend that he and his current girlfriend would get into a massive fight that is leading to the end of their relationship.

Jay also noticed Carlos and he noticed you, noticing Carlos so he moved closer over to you and wrapped his arms around you, “Are you cold Y/N? I can give you my jacket?” He offered.

“I’m okay, thank you.” You said, looking up and just realizing then how close he was too you. He looked into your eyes for a good 20 seconds before leaning into kiss you, you copied his actions and within milliseconds you two were kissing. Jay wrapped his arms around your waist bring you closer and you ran your hands down his sides.

You two were so lost in each other you didn’t notice Carlos watching the whole thing from shore, he ran away very quickly after that. Trying to act like he doesn’t just cry on the sight of seeing his ex moving on.

After the amazing date you had with Jay and a couple of other dates with him spread out over the next two weeks, you two became official. Jay had asked you to be his girlfriend, while you two were on a coffee date and of course you said yes, kissing him.

Carlos on the other hand broke up with Jane the day after he saw you and Jay at the beach. He had tried to messaging you, calling you and talking to you but you weren’t having any of it, “You only want me now Carlos because I’m with Jay. And I’m not some doll you pick up and play with and discard whenever you want. I’m sorry.”

Unfortunately despite what you wanted your new relationship with Jay had caused a strain in his friendship with Carlos, you never wanted that but Carlos came to despise Jay for ‘taking you away from him.’ Even though that is defiantly not what happened.

You were walking hand and hand with your boyfriend down to the beach when, “Hey, Y/N! Can I talk to you for a second?” Carlos said running up to you and Jay.

Jay just rolled his eyes, putting the hand that was in yours, around your shoulders, “What do you want Carlos?”

“I want to talk to Y/N.” He replied, glaring at Jay.

“Well I don’t want to talk to you, Carlos. I already told you I how I feel about you.” You reminded him, leaning more into Jay and the small movements didn’t go unnoticed by Carlos.

“Come on, Y/N. You loved me so much and I know you still do. Jay isn’t good for you, I am and I promise I will treat you right this time.” He promised, hope clear in his voice and eyes.

“And how am I not good for her? You’re the one who broke her heart and dumped her for Jane, who you also dumped.” Jay stated, crossing his arms.

“I’m sorry, I made a mistake. Don’t act like you’ve never made one in your life.” Carlos said defending himself.

“Well you need to the deal with your consequences of your mistake, buddy. Y/N’s mine now. You need to accept that.” Jay told him, smiling which brought Carlos over the edge enough for him punch Jay.

Jay caught Carlos arm before it could touch his face, “Don’t start something you can’t finish Carlos. You know I’m stronger than you.” He taunted.

Carlos just smirked before kicking Jay in the dick, “You little bitch!” Jay yelled before tackling Carlos to the ground.

“Stop this!” You yelled, broken out of the shook of having two boys fight over you. You pulled Jay off Carlos, “It’s not worth it, baby. I don’t want you getting into trouble.” You told him. Jay just nodded and grabbed your hand and pulled you away from Carlos. You sent Carlos a apologetic look before walking away leaving Carlos bruised and battered on the grass, alone.

After that day, Carlos left you and Jay alone. You hated seeing them not be friends. Evie constantly told you it wasn’t your fault and that even though their fight was based off you, Carlos had always feel little compared to Jay and those feelings just came out. Mal on the other hand wasn’t too happy with you and blamed you for her group falling apart. Ben and Evie tried to get her to come around but she never did.

You and Jay were still going strong, you two had said the ‘i love you’ to each other and you couldn’t ask for a better boyfriend. You started out always telling him he should talk to Carlos but that always ended up in you two fighting so you gave up.

“Carlos? Can I talk to you please?” You approached him whilst he was sitting at the bench by the park while Dude ran around.

“I just want to say I’m so sorry about what happened with you and Jay. I know how much you loved him and I feel terrible that you two aren’t speaking anymore. I try and get him to talk to you but he has too much pride.” You explained.

“It’s not your fault, Y/N. Sometimes best friends forever aren’t meant to be best friends forever. And don’t worry about me, I’ve made new friends and I’m doing good.” He smiled at you.

“Good, I’m glad. Do you still speak to Mal?” You asked him.

“Yeah were still close. I know she blames you for everything that happened. It’s nothing personal, it’s just easier for her to put the blame on someone outside the four of us so she can pretend that the group falling apart wasn’t something that was eventually going to happen anyway.” He told you. You nodded, though you did miss Mal, there was nothing you could do that would change her mind.

“Take care, Carlos.” You smiled at him, he nodded and you stood up and walked away and after that you never really did speak to Carlos again. Carlos, Ben and Mal became their own little group while you, Jay, Evie and Doug tended to hang out more. You found out Carlos eventually got back together with Jane and you were happy that he was happy.

I Don’t Blame You//A Jay Imagine

kianairwinhood said: Sorry to bother you but I wanted to know if you would do an imagine with Jay where he likes the reader buy finds out they’re Aladdin’s child but it doesn’t change his feelings for them. Again I’m sorry to bother you

Babe, none of y’all could ever bother me

Someone in the hall shoved past Jay. It was her again. He saw her all the time, but he wasn’t complaining. He thought she was beautiful. Yet he still didn’t know who your parents were.

“Hey buddy,” Carlos said, clapping a hand on his friend’s shoulder. “Staring at (Y/N) again?”

“Whaaaat? Pfft, no,” Jay said, taking a bite of his sandwich.

“Well, that’s good,” Carlos said. “Considering the fact that she’s Aladdin’s kid.”

Jay choked on his sandwich. “What?”

Carlos smirked. “Yup. So I guess it’s good that you don’t have a crush on her.”

Jay smacked his chest and coughed, his eyes watering. “Ahem. Yeah. Good…good thing.”

Dude ran by barking and Carlos took off after him, leaving Jay with a half-eaten sandwich and confusion fogging his mind.

He walked down the hall back to his room. (Y/N) was Aladdin’s kid? What was he gonna do? Because no matter how many times he reminded himself of that fact, every time he thought about her, butterflies erupted in his stomach.

That night, he tried to talk to Carlos about it.

“Man, what am I gonna do? She’s Aladdin’s kid, and after what my dad did to her’s, I don’t think she’s gonna want to talk to me, let alone go out with me.”

Carlos groaned. “Bro, if I hear the phrase “What am I gonna do about (Y/N)” one more time, I’m gonna smack you upside the head. Just talk to her. After Ben’s speech about how we aren’t our parents, I’m sure she won’t hold your dad’s actions against you.”

“I guess it can’t hurt.”

The next day, Jay and Carlos were walking from one class to the next when they saw (Y/N) in the hall. Carlos shoved his friend towards her and ran away.

“H-hey (Y/N),” he stuttered.

She smiled. “Hey Jay. D’you need something?”

“I was just wondering,” Jay swallowed and took a breath, trying to calm his nerves. “I was wondering if you wanted to go out some time? I mean, I totally understand if you don’t want to, considering the fact that my dad tried to ruin your dad’s life and enslaved your mom.”

She grinned. “I don’t blame you for what your dad did. I’d love to go out with you.”

Jay felt as though a huge weight had been lifted off of his chest. “Awesome.”

#10 - What went wrong?

Read: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 , Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, Part 8,  Part 9

Tuesday, 14 June 2017

Your alarm went off at the usual time - 7am. You reach for your phone to stop the alarm then turn over to see if Jay was lying in bed with you. He wasn’t.

You closed to our eyes and put your hand on your forehead. Was Jay with her? Did he leave the office then went to visit her after? Or was he just stuck at work? Tears began forming in your eyes and you didn’t want to start the day in this mood. Not only that but you still felt sick. You still had a slight headache. You thought maybe you didn’t cook dinner properly last night but you brushed it off. Sick of staying in bed feeling like shit you got up and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.

As you walked to the bedroom, you saw Jay sleeping on the sofa. He was still wearing the same clothes as yesterday. You were glad he was here and you walked over to him. He always look so peaceful when he’s sleeping. He was snoring quietly so you took a blanket and put it on him. You bent down to his level, looked at him and stroke his hair. You thought to yourself: Why didn’t he come to bed last night?

Jay sat in silence for god knows how long. He couldn’t believe what he had just heard. She’s pregnant? How? Well he knew how a girl can fall pregnant but he was so careful. He used protection and she had told him that she was on the pill.

Her: “Erm I need you to say something, Jay.”

Jay: I-I-Are you sure?

Her: Jay, I’m definitely pregnant. I took the test yesterday and the results were positive.

Jay: And it’s mine?

Her: It?

Jay: I meant like am I the father of the baby?

Her: I’m sure that you’re the father since you were the last person I had sex with.

Jay began to walk around the room. He couldn’t process all his thoughts at once. How is he going to tell his family and friends? How can this be contained so that the paps can’t find about it? How is this going to affect his business and career? He was about to become a father to an unborn child. But the mother of that unborn child isn’t you.. Fuck. You. How will this affect the relationship? Will this be the end of his relationship with you?

Jay stopped walking around and went to the fridge to get a bottle of water and drank nearly all of it in one gulp. He then rested his arms on the kitchen bench.

Her: Jay…

Jay couldn’t contain his thoughts anymore. He threw the half empty bottle across the room. She was startled by it and stood up to come over to him.

Her: Jay.. what are we going to do? I’m really scared. I don’t know the first thing to being a mother.

Jay didn’t respond. He just started into space.

Her: I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow and I would like for you to come with me. Please?

Jay finally broke his silence.

Jay: I don’t know… I’m not ready for this. How are we going to work this out? I have a business and a..relationship. How did you let it happen?! You said you were on the pill.

Her: Are you blaming me?! You do know that the pill isn’t 100% effective nor is using a condom. Don’t blame all of this on me. This is no one’s fault, it just happened and now we have to accept and deal with it!

Jay: I can’t-I need you to leave. Now.

Her: What the fuck, Jay. I came here wanting to talk to you and try to sort this out but nothing has been sorted. Jay.. I need your help. I can’t raise a baby on my own.

Jay: I. Need. You. To. Leave.

She didn’t need to be told once again so she took her bag from the chair.

Her: This isn’t over, Jay, we still need to work this out. I’ll be calling you tomorrow so you better answer. If not, I’ll be coming back here and I’ll let EVERYONE know about us, and that includes your girlfriend.

After changing into a new pair of sweatpants and your favourite hoodie you came out of the bedroom to find Jay awake. He was sitting up with the blanket wrapped around him and he was on his phone.

You: Good morning, sleepyhead.

Jay looked up to you and let out a small smile then put his phone down. You walked over to him and sat down. Jay then wrapped part of the blanket around you and kissed you on the head.

Jay: Mmmm I love the smell of your hair.

You: If you want the same smell, you should take a shower babe. I swear, your body odour is slowly creeping out.

Jay let out a small laugh.

You: Can I ask you something?

Jay half knew what you were going to ask and he wasn’t ready for an answer.

Jay: Ask me what?

You: What time did you come home last night?

Jay: Um just past midnight. I didn’t want to wake you up so I slept here instead.

You: I called you several times and you didn’t pick up nor return my calls and messages. Were you working or..?

Jay let out a sigh.

Jay: Yeah. There was an emergency meeting with the tour managers. And I’m sorry.

You: Must to be very important then but I thought you were um - anyway was everything sorted?

Jay shook his head.

You: Jay.. I know you’re busy with work but I need you to reply to my messages. I’m always calling you, leaving messages and voicemails and I never get a reply. I would then spend the day or night worrying about you. You know, just a simple message would be fine by me.

Jay: I’m sorry and I promise I will try to answer your calls and reply to you as soon as I can. Ok? Now breakfast?

Breakfast. You were usually always up for breakfast but today you felt different. You weren’t in the mood for breakfast.

You: I think I’m going to skip breakfast today. But I can make some for you, if you want.

Jay looked at you confused.

Jay: No breakfast? Are you feeling okay, babe?

Jay put his hand over your head. Your forehead was quite warm.

You: I don’t know. I still have a slight headache. I think it had something to do with dinner last night.

Jay: Stay here. I’m going to brush my teeth. After that, I’ll make you something drink.

You stayed put on the sofa and Jay got up. You turned on the tv and clicked through the channels. Whilst brushing his teeth, Jay received a message from her.

Are you meeting me at the doctor’s today? My appointment is at 11am.

Jay stared at the message and not knowing how to reply. Jay didn’t want to leave you alone today but if he doesn’t go to the appointment, she will probably come back to the office. He was typing and deleting his responses. Finally, he settled with a reply.

I’m busy with work. Maybe the next one.

He then blocked her number so that her messages or calls won’t go through.  After a while, Jay came back with some green tea and biscuits.

You: Thanks babe. I almost forgot! Our anniversary is tomorrow night. We haven’t actually planned anything.

Jay: I thought you said a home cooked dinner then just chill at home. I’m still down with that.

You: Yeah but… shouldn’t we something else more fun? Also, you’re leaving for the tour soon. I’m going to miss you.

Jay: Right the tour. You know, if I could go back in time I wouldn’t suggest it. I’m going to miss you so much. If only you could come with me. Maybe you’ll come to the next one?

You: Of course!

You took a sip of your tea and held onto the cup to allow your hands to warm up. You snuggled further into Jay and he held you tighter.

Jay: How are you feeling now? Better?

You: Yeah much better! I wish we could stay like this forever.

Jay: Me too, babe. Me too.

Gray: Hey man. Everything okay?

Jay was sitting in Gray’s recording studio. He hasn’t spoken to Gray about what about the other night and he wasn’t sure if he wanted Gray to know.

Jay: I’m fine.

Gray then stood up and went to close the door.

Gray: Tell me what happened between you and her. [Y/N] took you back but you still look like shit so tell me.

Jay sighed and buried his head in his hands.

Jay: Fine. But let me finish talking before you start lecturing me.

Gray nodded and sat back down on his chair facing Jay.

Jay: The reason she was here was um she came here because she needed to talk to me…about something. Fuck, okay… She was here to tell me she’s pregnant.

Gray: Are you serious? Oh my god, Jay! Shit…And you’re the dad?

Jay: Yes! If I wasn’t, I wouldn’t be feeling like shit.

Gray: You haven’t told [Y/N], have you?

Jay shook his head.

Jay: I haven’t told anyone about this so can we keep it that way? Please?

Gray: Yeah man, I won’t tell anyone. But what about [Y/N]? She deserves to know. You can’t keep this a secret from her.

Jay: I know, I know. But Gray if I tell her, I’m going to lose her and I don’t want that. She is everything to me.

Gray: She does bring out the best of you.. but Jay, [Y/N] going to find out sooner or later. And she’ll probably be more mad at you for lying to her than you telling her the truth now.

Jay: I don’t want to talk about this anymore. [Y/N] is waiting for me. It’s our anniversary dinner tonight.
