The Arcana - a 2:46am theory

AKA I was asleep until this idea popped into my head, and now I can’t sleep until I write it up, even though I’m not fully awake help me aaahhhh

Guys, guys, guys. I just remembered something. Aurora says this

in Chapter 4 Part 1, in her second dream about Asra. And I suddenly wondered how many times she’s had this dream. Or, this memory? I was also thinking about that Nadia thing I mentioned earlier, about her seeing things in dreams but they’re actually memories? What if that’s the case with the apprentice?

So let’s say that Nadia just dreams about probable futures. Cool. But the apprentice has these nightmares over and over, and they’re actually memories. They’ve seen Asra doing something or going somewhere, but their memory has been wiped, and they don’t remember what they saw, so their dreams are looping until they remember? Did that sentence even make sense?

If this is the case… Asra, you naughty boy, what are you up to? Can you imagine if he’s done this hundreds of times over? What does our apprentice actually know? Or rather, what did they know, because Asra took their memories. If Asra took their memories. Maybe he didn’t, but it is strange as well how Aurora, who is supposedly very close with Asra to the point where random strangers are like “whew, you two are close, wink wink”, knows absolutely nothing about his past. Nothing at all. What? Unless she does. DUN DUN DUN.

I’m tired and this idea is probably totally wrong because there’s the new update to think about.

Also, just as an aside, look at this man. Look at him. Look at his face. You can’t hang this man.

Also also, when you ask Asra where the crossroads lead in your first dream:

“Depends which one you take.”

No shit. Thanks, Asra.

Sorry, that was a double tangent right there. I’m going to go back to sleep now. I apologise if this was totally irrelevant because of the update or because of my rambling. I also apologise because the structure, the pacing and probably even the grammar of this post are all so skewed that I just can’t even bear to think about it. Sorry.

iOS, stop messing around. I mean it.

It's over isn't it

It’s over Isn’t It
(Steve Rogers X Reader/One-Sided Tony Stark)

I was fine with the men
Who would come into her life now and again
I was fine ‘cause I knew
That they didn’t really matter until you

Tony’s P.O.V.
Rule number one of friendship, never fall in love with your best friend. It always in one of two ways, they feel the same way or it gets awkward between you both. But you know me, never been one to follow the rules. And I hate myself for ever letting her go. Out of all the people she could have fell in love with, why did it have to be him.

I was fine when you came
And we fought like it was all some silly game
Over her, who she’d choose
After all those years I never thought I’d lose

I fell in love with my best friend, (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N), but her heart belongs to another. The star-spangled man with a plan Steve Rogers. God I hate him. I had her first, way before he even came into the picture. I can still remember the day they met, the single thought going through my mind ‘I wish I had more time.’

It’s over, isn’t it? Isn’t it?
Isn’t it over?
It’s over, isn’t it? Isn’t it?
Isn’t it over?
You won and she chose you
And she loved you and she’s gone
It’s over, isn’t it?
Why can’t I move on?

~Flash Back~
I was in the lab messing around like normal when Spangles walked in asking me about how a cell phone worked when she walked in. “Mr. Stark.” She said in her quite voice I loved so much it fit her so well. “Pocket Watch. What brings you into my humble abo?” I asked her, making her crake a smile from my nickname for her, although she says she hates it. I loved that smile more than anything. “Arch ya going to introduce me to your friend here.” She asked motioning over to Steve.
I look over to him seeing that he had a look of awe pasted to his face. However, before I could say anything he beat me to it “Steve Rogers ma’am, I do believe we’ve met before.” He says extending his hand for her to shack. “Oh yeah Tony this was the man I was telling you about the other day. It’s a pleasure to meet you I’m (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N).” she exclaimed as she also extended her hand once he touches her hand he brings it to his face planting a small kiss on her hand.
Jealousy rising to me but I push it down I can’t tell her or make it look suspicious. “Tony never told me he had such a beautiful friend” Steve said looking into her eyes. That’s when I know as ironic as it sounds, I ran out of time.
~End of Flash Back~

War and glory, reinvention
Fusion, freedom, her attention
Out in daylight my potential
Bold, precise, experimental

When I didn’t think my heart could break anymore. She came to me asking to give her away at her wedding, the look of happiness on her face as she showed me the ring. I could having given her more like she deserved. But she’s happy with him, she loves him, and that’s what he gives her that’s what I could give her. I should be happy for them but all I can bring myself to be is hurt in silence.

Who am I now in this world without her?
Petty and dull with the nerve to doubt her
What does it matter? It’s already done
Now I’ve got to be there for her son

Walking her to him all I could think about is how this could have been me standing there if I hade tried hard enough. Everything stops before we reach the end, time stops and she looks at me. “Do I look ok?” she asks looking so nervous. “You’re the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen Rogers is a luck man.” I tell her it hurts so much for me to say that to her. She gives me a smile and gives me a tight hug, and I’m reluctant to let her go but I have to. Time starts back up as I hand her over to Rogers looking him in the eyes and telling him “Take safe care of my Pocket Watch for me please” “I always will.” He looks over to (Y/N) the same smile on his face from the first time he saw her.

It’s over, isn’t it? Isn’t it?

Isn’t it over?
It’s over isn’t it? Isn’t it?
Isn’t it over?
You won and she chose you
And she loved you and she’s gone
It’s over, isn’t it?
Why can’t I move on?

Everything goes off without a hitch, she looks so happy. But I can’t stay and watch this anymore. I walk out the hall only looking behind me once to see the couple dancing happily. I look back and start walking again a sad smile on my face.

It’s over, isn’t it?
Why can’t I move on?

Alright, so, I’ve been re-reading the manga again for like the millionth time and something during the Summer Camp Arc has been bugging me.
The Villain Alliance had a decided upon extraction point where Kurogiri was going to pick them all up after the mission. Obviously Mustard, Moonfish and Muscular didn’t make it because they all got beat. But what bothers me is, Magne and Spinner got beat too. They literally had two pro heroes there, keeping them down after getting their asses kicked. So, like, why did Kurogiri come back for those two?
It would have made more sense to go back and get someone like Muscular instead, I mean he was even able to stand up to Deku while he was using 100% One for All, where as Magne’s quirk was pretty interesting but not all that strong or helpful in a fight, and Spinner doesn’t even use his quirk, implying that maybe it’s not all that strong of a quirk, whatever it is.
Magne even said that among all the members there were only two who were capable of flashy power battles, Muscular being one of them. And I’m assuming Moonfish or Dabi being the other person.
So I guess my question is, why did Kurogiri choose Magne and Spinner to save and then leave the others behind?
