Okay, this is one reason why I love MLP so much.

For those of you who don’t know, in the series Fluttershy is deathly afraid of going out on Nightmare Night (this universe’s equivalent of Halloween). However in this episode “Scare Master”, she realizes that she has never tried to celebrate Nightmare Night before and figures she should at least give it a shot because she knows how important the holiday is to her friends (remembering how she used to be afraid of singing in public until she tried it in an earlier episode (don’t you just love character continuity)).

While her friends try to make the holiday not so scary for her, she is still clearly uncomfortable with celebrating it throughout the episode. Later on she realizes she’s only been taking “baby steps” and manages to scare all of her friends (with the help of her forest companions), but it turns out she’s doesn’t like scaring them.

Now any other kids cartoon would have a story like this end with Fluttershy automatically liking Nightmare Night and not being scared anymore, but the writers knew that wouldn’t be true to the character. Perhaps more important is that people should know that while they should try new things they aren’t going to like everything they try, and just because their friends like something a lot doesn’t mean you have to like it too. True friends understand if you’re uncomfortable with something and they’ll still like you anyway.

Remember, it’s important to try new things, but you don’t have to like all of them, and your friends will understand either way.

Me: I should watch other anime, you know, broaden my horizons

Me to me: Rewatch Yuri!!! On Ice. Nothing else deserves to be watched.

Musing about being a POC and queer individual in the TMNT fandom:

I think the hardest part of being in the TMNT fandom for me is the fact that I am not white, am not straight, am not cis, or even neurotypical, and… I identify fairly hard with the turtles because of those things.

But then… they’re drawn or written as all of those things probably 90% of the time when people are humanizing them, and its just. so hard. to let that go, even though those people have no idea they’re affecting some random person across the internet. Compared to the hundreds of others who don’t feel this way, my personal opinion doesn’t really matter.

I don’t hold it against anyone for their headcanons, and I have never a day in my life sent hate to a person for having those headcanons, since I know those depend almost entirely on the personal life and experiences of those individuals.

They still bother me though, since I feel like it erases a large part of what the turtles’ identities are, which is being a minority among minorities.

They’re the only four of their kind, and pretty much utterly isolated from the rest of the world. They’ve never fit in, and never will, because they are inherently different from the rest of society. They are, in a phrase, freaks of nature.

My circumstances aren’t as extreme, not even close, but I know that feeling on a personal level regardless. Having them portrayed as the socially acceptable norm, it erases a large part of what makes them so interesting; which would be their sheer alien-ness from the rest of us. By making them ordinary cis white straight etc etc in humanized headcanons, I feel it takes away from their original characterization as a minority.

And it just really bothers me, as a single individual in the fandom, to have characters I identify with so strongly become pretty much the complete opposite of who and what I am, and thusly become no longer relatable. It’s just a difficult thing to deal with sometimes, especially since I have no power to change it other than ignoring the content I don’t like.

I hope no one takes this as an insult to their personal headcanons about the series; its just the words from someone who’s never fit correctly to any box, and found a strong connection to four characters who I felt were similar to me in that sense.

Reasons that you really should get Total Film Feb 2017

1. It got both James & Michael in it!

2.James said he “see Michael every now and again” & “I thought Fassbender was American for about five days”

He also said he hopes to make more X-Men “so that I can hang out with my pals” & “I’ve made some of the best friends in my life” during filming X-Men series.

3.The editor highlighted in JAMES MCAVOY IN NUMBERS: “10, the number of years between James and Michael appearing in Band of Brothers and X-Men:First Class.”

I was wondering if the editor was shipping them

Before you watch ASoUE:

(this is mainly for people who didn’t read the books and don’t know if they should watch the show)

A Series of Unfortunate Events is a family show, so hopefully nothing will be too graphic or shocking, but it involves scenes of child abuse, underage marriage, slavery, murder, and it features some transphobic humour. Fire, snakes and natural disasters feature prominently. If any of these things are triggering to you, please tread carefully. When the show comes out I’ll make a more specific trigger warning post that goes episode by episode. Feel free to share it with any friends who you want to get into the series but are sensitive to certain topics.

Okay so if you are not currently making your way through trollhunters then that is definitely something you should be doing.
I’m only on episode 10 and it has already blown me away with great animation, likeable characters and a genuinely interesting story. Expect fanart soon!

Trust me if you are a fan of dreamworks, cartoons or just animation in general you should definitely check this series out.

The Killing Stalking shows a very real and terrifying reality of abuse and how it draws you back by fear and uncertainty. I don't read manga but I think it's amazing how the artist has managed to translate that fear through the panels, especially found the line in the hallway floor quite symbolic and well thought out through the art.

I agree and I especially like how the artist managed to illustrate Yoonbum struggling with his obsession for Sangwoo while wanting to escape (there’s a part where he contemplates whether he should really go back to his uncle’s place or not and fighting with whether or not to let go of Sangwoo).  I also like how we can feel the fear the character feels becAUSE HELL KNOWS I GOT VERY ANXIOUS READING IT.

Like this series is meant to shock us and make us horrified at what’s happening. It’s putting this insane relationship before us with two people who have A TON OF ISSUES. And it’s sad and terrifying that something like that actually can happen or has happened???

I hope the artist keeps surprising us with the upcoming chapters – I especially appreciate the stylistics like the framing of scenes and the way expressions are drawn and how lighting is used

What she says: I’m fine.

What she means: Jess and Rory are meant to be together. Dean is safe and reliable, someone Lorelei feels comfortable with, someone who isn’t going to challenge Rory or make her do anything she’s uncomfortable with. Logan is spoiled and controlling, someone Emily feels comfortable with, someone who certainly challenges Rory, but pushes her to become something she’s not. Jess, on the other hand, appears periodically throughout the series to remind Rory to question her situation, but never to force her hand. Out of all of the boys, Jess is the only one who stands as an equal with Rory. And honestly, this new revival would not be possible without support from the fans of the original series, so I don’t care what Amy Sherman-Palladino thinks should happen, everyone else KNOWS Jess and Rory are end game. I don’t care if it’s fan service, make it happen, woman!

Halfway there, just two more prints and I’m done with this series! They should be done tomorrow (and thankfully done for AX phew) but I hope you like these! I tried a little bit of a different technique with my usual lineless style to make sure all the characters popped out so hopefully it’s not too jarring or different

Listen To Me DreamWorks: MAKE IT A TV SHOW

DreamWorks sweetie, it’s time that we have a talk about your latest movie “Trolls”.

I loved it. It was a fun adventure that helped me get back in a better mood from this Election cycle and Broppy is now my latest ship in my armada.Which I thank you so much for.

Now that being said: I highly recommend that you make a Trolls TV show for Netflix.

Why? Well let me explain it to you.

While I have no doubt that you’ll make back the money you spent to make the film and put it out into theaters, I think to just be on the safe side you should continue the story through a Netflix TV show if you can’t produce a sequel.

Netflix has been your best friend. You’ve given us a gift with the Voltron: Legendary Defender series that is now one of your magnum opuses. And you have a lot of other series on there as well such as DreamWorks Dragons, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, HOME: Adventures with Tip & Oh, All Hail King Julian, and The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show just to name a few.

There is so much potential in this universe that you’ve created for this franchise and I think that if you want to strike while the iron is hot you should consider expanding the story and characters through Netflix

I’m sure there’ll be a lot of other people who would agree with me on this opinion and suggestion. It’s just a humble plea from a new fan who absolutely loved the movie.

Warm Welcome - Stiles Stilinski Imagine

Author: dylanowhy (me)

Summary: You are new to Beacon Hills and attend Lydia’s party with your new friend Kira where you meet a few people, but one stands out a little bit more than the others.

Pairings: Stiles Stilinski x Reader

Warnings: Drunk Stiles, making out and slight vulgar language.

Word Count: 1,788

A/N: I kind of want to turn this into a mini series but I am unsure, should I post a part two??

High school was complicated and parties were stupid. You had only lived in Beacon Hills for around a month now and when it came to making friends or even being noticed, you failed. So far you have only acquired one friend, Kira, a girl who was currently not being such a good friend right now since she was planning to drag you along to a party. But not just any party, oh no.

“It’s Lydia Martin.” You said as you smoothed down the small skirt that could be an inch or two longer.

“She’s my friend, and a lot less intimidating than you think.” Kira reassured for maybe the tenth time today, you just couldn’t shake the very familiar feeling of misplacement – like you didn’t belong. “Listen, (Y/N), I was the new girl once, I was awkward, weird, and all around I felt like a walking embarrassment. But these people took me in as one of their own — I really think you are going to fit in perfectly.” Kira’s words were inspiring, always were. She knew how to say the right things at the right time. So, with a tug of your skirt for the last time, you announced that you were ready for whatever the night had in store.
