idk what the arr*n thing is about because i don't want to look it up and get secondhand embarrassment, but while "edgy" blarkes need to keep their embarrassing opinions to themselves and not tweet at real people, she's a white woman who said that she doesn't want white characters to be played by POC so i'm not gonna respect her just bc she's dating bob.
First, y’all should know me well enough by now to know I never believe claims like this without picture/video evidence.
Second, respect has many definitions, one of which is simply to:
have due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of.
Bob has asked the fandom multiple times to stop attacking his girlfriend. He’s blocked people who do it. It obviously upsets him. When I say “Respect her”, I mean respect her position in this man’s life. People aren’t just making Arryn’s life harder when they attack her, they’re affecting Bob as well. How can you say you care about the man and then try to hurt people he cares for?
More to the point: Bob is a grown up!!!!! He makes his own decisions and, if Arryn did say that she doesn’t want white characters to be played by POC, and it’s public enough knowledge for fandom to know about it, why aren’t people questioning Bob’s decision to stay with her? Like, if my significant other was saying racist shit and I didn’t leave them that’s a reflection of me as well, isn’t it?
It’s not hard to just…leave people alone. It takes so much effort to send people hate when you could just…not.
