SO I decided what the heck and went for the pro trial, turns out you can actually do waaaaaay more when you’re not limited to like 30 parameters! I managed to fix a lot of my mistakes with Fluttershy, although Twi has plenty of her own problems. I think she came out cute anyway! ✨
(I really wanna do AJ, SciTwi, or Sunset next but…I should probably focus on fixing her first. baw)
You can't convince me that every one of Kaede's classmates didn't blush when giving her her gift.
(Except Ouma, he’s got too many appearances to keep up and he just kinda drops her gift at her feet and runs off like the little gremlin he is, but on the inside he’s. actually mildly nervous.)
(Kiibo, bless his poor robo-soul, is stuttering so badly that Kaede asks if his software is malfunctioning, which just makes it worse.)
(And Maki and Saihara both look as if they’re going to spontaneously combust, with Maki trying to play it cool in her usual tsundere manner, but Saihara’s honestly just a mess.)
(Kaito tries to act like the cool guy™ but slips while leaning against the counter.)
(And then Amami comes in and HE DOESN’T EVEN TRY AND MOMOTA WHY ARE YOU CRYING???)
(Hoshi’s up next and he’s pulled his hat down over nearly his entire face and his voice isn’t as deep as usual and it actually sounds kinda normal and then Kaede’s crouching down so that their eye-level and he’s just like oh-god-it-shouldn’t-be-humanly-possible-for-someone-to-be-this-beautiful.)
(The most normal had been Kirumi who just passes her her gift with a small smile and a slight blush dusting her cheeks.)
(No one can see if Shinguuji is blushing or not underneath his mask, but boi you ain’t foolin anyone. He gives Kaede some box with weird ass markings carved into it and she’s honestly mildly creeped out.)
(Then there’s a blur of yellow and Angie’s leeched onto Kaede.)
(Once they finally manage to pry Angie off Kaede, it’s Tenko’s turn. She’s so nervous that she nearly flips Kaede when she tries to hug her.)
(Himiko’s even worse than Hoshi and you can’t even see her face at all beneath her hat whilst she presents Kaede with her gift with some lame magic trick, then she scurries off and hides behind Tenko.)
(Gonta ends up bowing so low that Kaede’s arms ache the next day from trying to pull him up to prevent him from losing his balance and getting a concussion.)
(Shirogane is cleary nervous bc she’s spewing out so many anime references that no one can keep up. Plus her face’s bright red.)
(Last but definitely not least, it’s Iruma’s turn and the box she drops into Kaede’s hands starts to vibrate and everyone’s just like oh god, not again. Then Iruma just tells Kaede to open it and the mess of wires inside surprisingly doesn’t look like a sex toy, then she goes on to explain that it’s actually a machine that’ll massage her stiff fingers after hours of playing piano (and bc she’s Iruma she tacks on a “and other activities” with a wink). At this stage Kaede’s already tearing up, because who would’ve thought that Miu Walking-Innuendo Iruma would’ve been so thoughtful and pulls her into a tight hug and, well, RIP Iruma.)
What are your opinions on John winchester... just my curiosity spiking?
Oh boy, that one.
I think he was a bad, neglectful parent. But I don’t agree with the pretty wide-spread characterization of him as a total demonic, drunk asshole who hates his kids’ guts and beats them up. I don’t think John actually beat them up – not on a regular basis, at least? I could maybe see arguments getting heated and violent, but not so much of a constant smackdown for every small mistake. He might have put them down verbally, if the Impala comment to Dean in the end of s1 was anything to go by… we all know Dean would never let Baby get rust or anything :(
I think he, kinda, destroyed them emotionally and totally didn’t provide enough support. He loved Sam and Dean, I’m pretty sure – but love alone’s not enough. He was a traumatized, scared man who wasn’t in the place to raise kids. I know it turned out that this childhood was the only way Sam and Dean could save the world. If they were raised happy and safe without any training and only ever becoming close with each other in their formative years, I doubt they could foil Lucifer’s plans that were thousands of years in the making in Swan Song. But John had no way of knowing that, so, that’s no excuse!
Also, that face that Dean makes in the Dark Side of the Moon when talking about John…
Yeah, that one. Poor guy. From the looks of it, John would never let them be kids, especially not Dean with his parentification burden. I could maybe understand wanting your kids to be ready if you know monsters are coming for them. But, damn, he could’ve stayed with them. Teach them how to shoot a gun if you really gotta, but you can also play catch with them and read them bedtime stories, yanno.
The pub is raucous tonight. It seems like everyone and their mum decided to hit up the Three Broomsticks, and Rosmerta only had time to sling their drinks across the counter before hustling off to deal with another round of patrons. It just errs on the side of uncomfortable; the close packed bodies, the almost deafening levels of chatter, the slowly building humidity that leaves his skin damp, even after he rolled up the sleeves of his flannel in an attempt to cool down.
It’s a bit chaotic, but then again, he thrives off of chaos. At least, that’s what he says after watching some bloke spill his drink on a girl in an attempt to feel her up, only to receive a punch to the jaw. It results in a minor scuffle and he just sits off to the side observing it. It reminds him of an Andy Warhol painting for some reason; just a blur of colour and movement.
James Potter is not good at flip cup.
Or, more accurately, he’s not good at this blaspheme of flip cup that Sirius came up with. He’s making them chug a bitter stout instead of beer, and James grimaces the whole way through, costing him and Remus significant time.
He gives up after the third round of losing- he doesn’t hate himself that much, plus he’s sure that if he doesn’t wash down the taste with something else, his tastebuds would never forgive him- and Sirius pats him on the back.
“Oh don’t be sad, Prongs,” he says, pinching his cheeks.
James bats his hands away. “You’re a sadistic bastard.”
“Funny, that’s what my mum used to call me growing up.”
Kim Sohee opens up about her old agency including an agency director who wanted to marry her and being forced to work unpaid at a restaurant not even realizing this was an unusual thing for trainees. (x)
So I’m writing a (comparative) meta concerning Kallura
instead of, oh I don’t know, working on a workshop piece that’s bloody due soon (priorities, guys, friggin priorities) and have just noticed, as I collect quotes, how soft-spoken? Keith is?? when talking to Allura??? Like, his voice becomes uncharacteristically soft? And soothing?? Especially in “The Ark of Tajueer???”
Like, I’m melting and am more so in love with Steven Yeun’s voice than I should be?
