i recolored this thing like 3 times

“This probably wont work, ‘cause you’re kind of a jerk. And for sure, you’re way too cool for me.”[x]

the moment you’ve all been waiting for! some overalls. my first mesh mashup. mashed some meshes together, mashed some textures together. I went super simple with the colors, 6 shirt colors and 3 denim colors to make 18 swatches. I did all the LODs, but it’s my first time so I have no idea if I did them correctly, so if there’s any problems please tell me so I can look into it. download and other things under the cut. :) enjoy!

Simtown presents: MOAR FARM!

Chicken: I’ve reshaped it to match Lunasims’ chickens a little more closely, remapped, & completely retextured it.  The rooster now has a better… head-thingy? idk what it’s called, floppy red thing… & I’ve added a whole bunch of recolors.  Baby chicks have no recolors & are all yellow.

Pigs:  Complete retextures & more colors, some minor mesh edits, some remapping, & the Piglet is now recolorable.

Goats:  Quite a bit of reshaping, complete retextures, a little remapping & tons of recolors.

Sheep:  All 3 types have been completely remeshed to have similar sheep features instead of looking like they came from 3 different games.  I’ve fully remapped them also.  They’ve been retextured & recolored a bunch of times.  They are all repositoried to Type One sheep.  Type One sheep is thin & lamby-looking.  Type Two sheep has a thicker body & face.  Type Three sheep is very fluffy with a thin face.

Fixed Cows:  My previous Cows did not like to play nice with some CC due to a load-order error, causing the Bulls to not generate correctly.  These are the fixed versions & should work with everything.  So sorry that I broke things, I ultra-promise these have been tested (A LOT) & work as intended.

Llama:  This is, for all intents & purposes, a Donkey.  It replaces the Donkey, you get it from the Donkey sign object, the game treats it like a Donkey, it says it’s a Donkey, & it acts like a Donkey.  But it’s not.  It’s a Llama.  It’s only rideable & pettable, I’d love to make it milkable & shearable too but that’s beyond my skills.  You cannot have both my Llama & Beck’s original Donkey in the game at the same time.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (Please Read):

If you are unfamiliar with Beck’s original farm animals, PLEASE test these in an empty neighborhood before deciding that you want them!  ALWAYS make a full backup of your game files before installing animated animals!

  • If you currently have NO Animated Farm Animals installed:
    • Drop the downloaded folder(s) into Downloads; that’s all you need to do.
  • If you currently have SOME/ALL Animated Farm Animals installed but HAVE NOT placed them on any lots:
    • Delete your existing Animated Farm animals files & drop the downloaded folder(s) into Downloads.
  • If you currently have SOME/ALL Animated Farm Animals installed & HAVE placed them on lots:
    • Copy your existing Farm NPC files into the appropriate folders, allowing them to overwrite the Farm NPC files that are included in the download.
    • Delete all remaining existing Animated Farm Animals files.
    • Drop the downloaded folder(s) into Downloads.

THINGS TO BE AWARE OF (Please Read):

If you are unfamiliar with Beck’s original farm animals, PLEASE test these in an empty neighborhood before deciding that you want them!  ALWAYS make a full backup of your game files before installing animated animals!

  • Beck’s animals create NPC objects.  EDITED TO ADD: If you load any neighborhood with these animals present in your Downloads folder, the NPC objects will permanently become a part of that neighborhood regardless of whether or not you place the objects.
  • You cannot have both Beck’s originals & my edits in the same game.  These are REPLACEMENTS.  I’ve included all necessary files in the download so you will not need anything extra to make it work.  Please read the installation instructions for more information.
  • Some of the animations are a little wonky.  I did what I could with what I had.  I’m confident that the current animations are to the best of my ability, but sometimes things are not pretty.
  • The Sheep download contains files for the Goat.  The files needed by both are marked “SheepGoat” & “SheepSound”.  If for some reason you want Goats & not Sheep, you will still have to download the Sheep file & copy its items into the Goat folder.  If you want both, you may leave them foldered as they come.
  • Changing the name or otherwise altering the load order of ANY of the files in the “Becks___” subfolders is a horrible idea & will break things.  Don’t do it.
    • Exception 1: The Goat/Sheep shared files as described previously, can be moved freely between those two folders.
    • Exception 2: You may duplicate the NPC files into your neighborhood’s Characters folder (while leaving a copy in your Downloads folder) to help avoid breaking the game should you ever choose to remove the animals.
  • Enjoy, do what you want with them, credit is nice but my policy is wide open.  If you’re not sure about something, ask me!
