i really love them i want them to be real

I’ve loved @crackmccraigen ‘s Powerpuff Girls since I was a little kid, although I haven’t really drawn much fanart for them.  But recently I realized that I hardly ever saw any fanart of the girls aged-up where they actually looked like superheroes.  Usually when the girls are drawn older they are either sexualized versions of their younger selves, or else they are drawn fighting crime in street clothes or living average lives.  I wanted to draw them like a real powerful superhero team - so that’s what I did!

I tried to stick to the art style used in the show, and although the curvy figure isn’t as streamlined as their childhood shape, I aimed for a bullet design that would still be somewhat aerodynamic. I also added the futurized versions of a few other characters like Professor Utonium, Mayor Bellum, and her assistant Mr. Mayor.  And after years of battle, Mojo Jojo now has a prosthetic arm powered by the nodes on his brain that can convert into a variety of weapons and gadgets!

just two guys….bonding… i can’t believe this is my first contribution to this amazing show…

What I absolutely love about your art style is their lively facial expressions! Could you please show us a tutorial on how to draw them?

Thank you! There is a tutorial that I’ve been looking for everywhere to no avail so I will cook up my own thing real quick. Mind you, this is not really a tutorial, more like a demonstration.
What I want to show you here is how a little detail can change the whole facial expression. To give you a good example, here are some Buttons faces with the only difference between them being the change of one feature in each row.
Let’s go with eyebrows first:

Then we got eyelids:

The focus of the eyes, the dilation of the pupils and even the size of the iris:

The mouth:

And though this might be more “body language” than “facial expression”, but I think the position of the head/neck counts as part of an expression:

Of course there are other things you can change on your subject’s face like squishing-stretching the whole head or just some of their features, scrunching up their nose, messing up their hair, etc. It all depends on how cartoony your character is. Buttons is semi-realistic so I don’t really go to the extremes with his face.

Another thing: when it comes to conveying an expression, I first think of the basic pose (angle of the head and neck, body language), much like how you start animating lipsync by creating the body language first. You don’t get to draw in the individual mouth posings until you got the body language down.

Same with drawings. Try not to start with the details, work your way to them!

That’s all I could think of for now. I got some more references and thoughts collected in this post from a year ago.
Have fun! :)

To the disgusting autism moms who claim they will never be proud of their child’s autism:

You are teaching them internalized ableism.
You are teaching them lateral ableism.
You are teaching them to hate who they really are.
You are teaching them that they’re not allowed to be their real self.
You are teaching them that they have to be fake to please you.
You are teaching them that your love for them is conditional.

And any angry responses to this post will prove that I’m right.

I’m so tired of autism moms lamenting their child may never get married, say “I love you” or hold down a job. Funny how all these are things the moms want to do with the child. They act like an autism diagnosis is robbing them of experiences they see other moms have.

Yeah, and while you’re crying about all these things you want you’re missing out on the child right in front of you and you’re missing out on what they want.

It’s not all about YOU, autism moms.

Yes, it’s stressful. Yes, it’s frustrating. Yes, it’s hard.

But you want to know what’s harder? Being autistic and surrounded by people who say “Be yourself…” and as soon as I flap my hands, somebody pulls me aside to say, “…but not like that.”

I stopped listening to those people. Do you want to be one of those people to your child?

ok yikes i made these the other day and i wish i drew them better but i still love them so LMFAO WHILE my bestie and I are chatting I wanted to see if anyone had some Klance or just Lance or Keith ideas or requests??

I wanna start drawing the two more and I really need practice (the sketches above are my first real attempt at themkelrej) but im not really sure what to do with them?? We’re gonna try and throw some HCs around but i’d love to hear from you guys! Just message me in my ask box or reply if it lets you??

Okay but, I feel like Erik would actually make a decent dad??? Like, he’d probably be really terrified of it at first but then eventually he would spoil the shit outta his kid/s.
It would make sense because he would finally have something worth living and caring for and will love him back. And he’d want to give them everything he didn’t have growing up. Only real problem I could think of is that he may be a bit overprotective and defensive of them.

Well anyways that’s my headcanon.

Sorry I just really like the idea of Erik being an awkward yet really loving dad ;u;

Theory about the real Percival Graves during the movie.

Yes, I’ve already said that in my opinion we’ve seen the real Percival Graves during the movie, but now I’ve read the screenplay and I really want to talk more about this subject. I’m gonna walk you through what I thought while reading the script, and I’d love to hear your thoughts about this!
( I really hope that everyone understands everything, I really don’t write in english often. )

• The movie’s opening is the scene involving Grindelwald, who’s fighting against a bunch of aurors. The descriptions says “EXT. SOMEWHERE IN EUROPE — 1926 — NIGHT ”, so Grindelwald was in Europe the night that he “Strikes again” as the headlines of the papers said. The very next scene after the montage with the newspapers is the one in which Newt arrives to New York, the description says “ EXT. SHIP GLIDING INTO NEW YORK — NEXT MORNING ”, so we can assume that Newt Scamander arrives in America the morning after Grindelwald’s attack in Europe. Newt comes down from the ship, he has the conversation with the customs official and then goes on about his day. The scene after this one it’s the one in which we see the Obscurus for the first time, along with Graves, and the description says: “ EXT. STREET NEAR CITY HALL SUBWAY — DUSK ”, I think it’s safe to assume that the day was about to end, and we are still talking about the day in which Newt came to America.
Now, Grindelwald is a very powerful and resourceful wizard, we all know that. But– I highly doubt that he was really capable of moving to America, take hold of some polyjuice potions ( since it was confirmed by Yates & Heyman that Grindelwald use that method to replace Graves ) and replace a very high positioned and expert auror such as Percival Graves. Someone might argue that, maybe, Grindelwald took the place of Mr. Graves months before the events of the movie, but I really can’t think about a way in which Grindelwald could have been in Europe while Graves works in America most of his time, the frequent absence would have been a bit suspicious.

• So, assuming that what I just explained is true. When does the change happen?
To me, the change happens somewhere between the scene in which Tina takes Newt to the MACUSA because of the Niffler, and the first conversation that we see on screen with Credence; at that time it was really obvious that Grindelwald took the place of Graves. How do you make the distinction between real!Graves and fake!Graves?

During an interview Colin Farrell talked about how Percival Graves had frequent conversations by letter with Newt’s brother, Theseus, this one being a very talented and brave British auror. So, Mr. Graves knew about the existence of Newt and, according to the actor, he had an initial indulgence towards the younger member of the Scamander family.
In my opinion, we can actually see that during the scene in which Tina tries to show to Graves Newt’s case ( which was actually Jacob’s during that scene ). Mr. Graves refers to the Niffler calling it “ little guy ”, and smiles to Tina like he’s trying to encourage her. During the rest of movie we’ll see none of that. Fake!Graves is going to refer to Newt’s creatures as “beasts” only, which is yes the correct term to call them, but he will not show any of the empathy he showed during the first scene with Tina & Newt at the MACUSA.

Back to the screenplay, the description as Tina opens the case to reveal its content ( Jacob’s pastries ) says: “ GRAVES looks confused, but smirks slightly — another of TINA’s mistakes. ” Now, if this Mr. Graves was actually impersonated by Grindelwald how would he know that Tina is a clumsy auror that makes a lot of mistakes like this one? He wouldn’t. Therefore, to me, this was the real!Graves.
Another proof of this theory is that when Tina walks into the MACUSA for the first time during the movie and interrupts the meeting that is happening in the major investigations department the description of the scene that sees Tina leaving the meeting humiliated says: “ GRAVES looks after them ( Newt & Tina ), the only one to appear sympathetic. ” I know that Grindelwald has to act like the real Graves to be fully believed by a bunch of expert aurors and the President, but no one was actually watching him during the scene, he didn’t need to look sympathetic to Tina’s situation.

And, another thing that I thought is: why did he go to Tina in the first place? Why did he look for her when President Picquery said loud and clear that Tina was not an auror anymore? Maybe he was just trying to be kind and nice, but I don’t see why Grindelwald should have done that. I mean, no one seemed to expect Graves arrival during the scene that involves Tina, Newt and Abernathy in front of the Wand Permit Office. So, to me, that was just real!Graves being kind to an ex colleague, who lost her job ‘cause she was too kind and impulsive.

• Why is Grindelwald in America? And why he takes the place of Graves?

There are many theories concerning the fact that Ariana Dumbledore was an Obscurus, so Grindelwald knew about this kind of magic and was probably searching for it. Also, we can safely assume that shortly before the events of the movie there were a lot of episodes concerning magic in front of muggles in New York. So, probably, Grindelwald took that as a sign to search for what he was looking for.
During the movie fake!Graves explains to Credence that he had visions concerning his mother and her proximity to the Obscurus he was looking for. Since Grindelwald’s words are not really reliable I’m not very inclined to take them as the truth, but maybe he really had some sort of visions about this. Of course he lies when he tells Credence that he had a vision of the two of them being honored among wizards, that was obviously a way to trick the boy into doing what he wanted him to do, but the rest of the vision-thing can be true.
Then the next question is, why Graves? Percival Graves is a very highly talented, powerful and trusted member of the MACUSA, taking his identity was probably kind of simple because no one questions him except for the President, he probably didn’t have a lot of friends either… No one could tell the difference for a while. Also, being this respected auror he could investigate and search for the obscurus with every mean necessary, and that was exactly what Grindelwald wanted. Moreover, Graves had a contact inside the Second Salem Church, which Grindelwald probably found really interesting and useful: Credence Barebone.

• So what about Credence?

In my opinion, Graves already knew Credence, and the boy trusted him deeply. Tina had two accidents involving the Second Salem Church, one of them involved Credence directly and I think we can assume that he wasn’t obliviated, since he probably had a magical biological-mother and so he already knew about the existence of magic. This two things ( that he had a magical mother and that he wasn’t obliviated ) are easily proven by the screenplay, since it’s said that Credence dreamt of Tina every night since she saved him from May Lou’s beatings, and Mary Lou more than once says that Credence’s mother was an abomination and a monster.
To me, after the accident that results in Tina being fired, Graves interacts with Credence, not only asking for his version of the facts, but also stipulating a sort of deal with him, in which he would treat his wounds and cuts while Credence gives him informations about the Second Salem Church and his mother’s intentions, since that organization ( even if it’s very little ) is a threat to the magical world secrecy.

But how would Grindelwald know about Credence Barebone and his deal with Graves?
I have three options:
• He extorted that information from Graves, which is totally possible.
• He knew from an associate of his ( the goblin from the pub, anyone?? ).
• He actually didn’t knew, he just got lucky ( which to me is kind of possible since it wouldn’t be the first time that someone in JK Rowling’s stories just got lucky for something, I mean. .  Harry Potter got lucky for more than a couple of times. ).

• When does Grindelwald replace Graves?

From the scene with Tina & Newt in front of the Wand Permit Office and the first on screen scene with Credence, according to the screenplay, there’s a whole day - maybe something less, If I’m not mistaken - .
So, to me, Graves is kidnapped during this period of time, and Grindelwlad immediately goes to Credence to talk to him about the Obscurus ( but we don’t see this ).
The dialogue of the first on screen scene with Credence is almost like they are discussing something that they recently discovered. Credence is asking about informations, like he still doesn’t understand why he can’t know the physical gender of the child he’s looking for, and Graves has to explain the task and everything from the beginning. So probably that scene was like one of the very first discussions that they’re having about the search for the obscurus.

So the conclusion is: Percival Graves is somewhere alive and unwell, and they need to find him, and bring him back for the second movie. THANKS.

northern downpour // panic! at the disco

They spoke very little of their mutual feeling; pretty phrases and warm expressions being probably unnecessary between such tried friends.

I want Ian and Mickey to just talk; a good long chat about each other and how they’re doing. I want Ian to ask Mick about prison, I want them to talk about micks tattoo, I want Mickey to ask how Ian is doing with his disorder and how his mental state is. I want them to share each other in a moment of Just them no cares in the world and a quite moment. I just want them to say I love you face to face for real, NO ulterior. I don’t really care if gallavich is END game, like yes it would be nice but I just want a good
Moment of Ian and Mickey, two separate beings talking about their lives in the past few years.

About Larry.

I entered this fandom lured in by Larry. To me, looking at these two incredibly sweet, gold-hearted boys having been able to build such a healthy, strong relationship - and having been able to work for it together for so many years, despite every nasty thing thrown their way by their environment and people wanting to bring them down - really was a strong reminder that actual real love still exists. When you find a person who makes you be the best you can be, who is your best friend, who laughs and cries at the same things as you, that even after all the hardships, you still choose that person every day. Love is a verb. That’s what I saw, that’s what I still see.

And to me, it’s an incomprehensible idea that so many people find it necessary to fight over which one of them deserves the other less, which one is being taken advantage of, how unhealthy it all is.

I love Harry. I love Louis. I love them. I think they are absolutely remarkable together and individually and to me, I cannot understand how it seems to be a preposterous idea to so many that they are actually in this together, as a team, and not as a competition between them that we need to be judges for.

Call me crazy and naive but it actually is possible to love both of them equally, like they love each other equally.

Hey Anon! Ah, well  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ mischaracterization and bias towards a character are a real pain to deal with when it comes to fandoms, but honestly?

So last year, I had APUSH. If you don’t know what that stands for, it stands for Advanced Placement United Stated History. Advanced Placement, or AP for short, is a fancy term for a class that is considered college level.

I had a bunch of friends in that class, and on top of all that, I also had an amazing teacher. Probably one of the best teachers I have ever had. Her name was Mrs. Lamountain, and we are very similar in a lot of ways.

This includes our love for the Civil War.

I saw these Abraham Lincoln bandages here on Tumblr one day, and I’m like “These can’t be real. They probably don’t exist.” I told my teacher about them, and she told me jokingly, “If you ever find these, you need to tell me where to find them, because I want them really bad now!”

Time goes by, and I was with my friend oldfashionedlizard, and we’re at this store about 25 minutes away from where I live. He was looking at the books or the DVDs or some shit like that, and I’m just looking at the food because let’s face it, food is my lifetime friend.

I’m walking by the novelty items when I look down and see a container. I pick it up. Sure enough…it’s the Abraham Lincoln bandages.

I kinda lost my shit in the middle of the store, and I rush to the counter to buy all that they had left (two packages, one for me, and one for my teacher).

The next day, I walk into class and coincidentally, my teacher gets a paper cut. I walk up to her, and in the smoothest way possible, hand her the package, and say “I will heal your wounds as I healed a nation.”

To this day, she still has them.
