This is the part of the blog where I share with you some of the characters that captured my heart from the time I first loved reading until now. It was originally just The Fictional Boyfriend Tag but I want to include the girls that have captured my heart as well. So now, without further delay, I present you with the tag:
1. Most romantic boyfriend/girlfriend.
Boyfriend: Augustus Waters from The Fault In Our Stars. The trip to Amsterdam really speaks for itself. Beyond that though, he shows Hazel how much he cares about he all throughout the book.
Girlfriend: Mia Hall from If I Stay. The amount of love she has for her boyfriend and how pure and unselfish that love is is absolutely inspirational to me.
2. Dark and moody bad boy/girl with a good side.
Boyfriend: Randle McMurphy from One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. His character was my favorite in both the movie and the book. Even though he had done some pretty bad things, he still has a good heart.
Girlfriend: Jenny Green from Jenny Green’s Killer Junior Year. Even though it is hard to look past what she did, I still think she has a good side because she didn’t start out bad. To me that means that she still has some goodness.
3. Paranormal boyfriend/girlfriend.
Boyfriend: Alexander Sterling from Vampire Kisses. Ever since I first read the Vampire Kisses series I have pretty much been in love with Alexander Sterling. He just seems so classy and sophisticated without being arrogant. What I loved about the Vampire Kisses books was they didn’t lead with the fact that Alexander is a vampire. The author gave the paranormal characters more depth that went beyond them being vampires.
Girlfriend: Jessica Packwood from Jessica’s Guide To Dating On The Darkside. Even though she was raised a human her destiny was to be a vampire so she counts.
4. Boyfriend/girlfriend you want to tame.
Boyfriend: Jagger Maxwell from Vampire Kisses. He is just a really super scary vampire in a way but I think If you find the right person *cough* me *cough* he would be a pretty nice guy.
Girlfriend: Alaska Young from Looking For Alaska. She isn’t a bad character. She is more unattainable than anything else.
5. Boy/girl you friend zoned.
Boyfriend: Oliver from The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. Even though I did love his character, I just felt like he would be a better best friend than a boyfriend.
Girlfriend: Hannah Baker from Thirteen Reasons Why. With all the problems that she had I think she just needed someone who would listen and not someone to be in a relationship with.
6. Your soul mate.
Boyfriend: Jacob Black from Twilight. I just love everything about Jacob. He will always be one of my favorite characters no matter what. I like the fact that instead of tip toeing around Bella’s feelings like some people *glances disapprovingly at Edward* he was always honest with Bella and that is and always has been what she needs.
Girlfriend: Raven Madison from Vampire Kisses. Raven is everything I wish I could be: original, sure of herself, able to just stand up for herself without second guessing it. Ever since I started reading this series, I have wanted to be just like her.
7. Boyfriend/girlfriend you want to elope with.
Boyfriend: Lucius Vladescu from Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Darkside. Even though he started out really arrogant, he was an amazing character and the changes he went through made him steal my heart and he has yet to give it back.
Girlfriend: Hazel Grace Lancaster from The Fault in Our Stars. With how smart and articulate she is we would never run out of things to talk about.
8. Boyfriend/girlfriend you’d venture anywhere with.
Boyfriend: Dimitri Belikov from Vampire Academy. He seems like he would be really fun to go places with because he seems like the kind of person (vampire) that would know a bunch of information and history about places before you go there and he could tell you all about what he knows.
Girlfriend: Elisha Springfield from Hangman’s Curse. Considering what her roll in the book is, I imagine everywhere we went something interesting would happen, like having to solve a mystery.
9. Boyfriend/girlfriend you’d want to be stranded on a desert island with.
Boyfriend: Finny Boone from Paper Valentine. He really seems like he would be handy to have around when you need to build a raft or a hut. Also, he would be fun to talk to so I wouldn’t get bored.
Girlfriend: Norah from Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. She would also be fun to talk to but I think she is funnier than Finny would be. Plus she has awesome taste in music.
10. Most bad ass boyfriend/girlfriend.
Boyfriend: James Stark from House of Night. He’s James Stark.
Girlfriend: Maria Rasputin from Rasputin’s Daughter. She is just an amazing character and I love her.
Last but certainly not least of the boyfriends that I love is Etienne St. Clair. I Just didn’t have anywhere to put him but I love him just the same!
