8, 19, and 20 for the ask game?
I SHALL DO THIS THANK YOU
8. What is your biggest challenge?
How do I keep a consistent tone? Idk. Pacing is pretty hard too, because every time I read a scene it feels like everything is happening too fast.
19. Post a picture or gif that describes your WIP.
20. Post a brief excerpt.
ANOTHER ONE?! UHUGEHUEHGEUHGUEHGEUHGE
“After you,” he said, sounding needlessly sinister.
I stepped over the threshold, prepared to get mauled by some horrible beast, but found nothing but more peace and calm on the other side of the wall. Valerien closed the door behind us and I watched as it disappeared into the white stone.
He then threw his hands out to either side in an unusually energetic manner. “Pick a direction, any direction! Let us wander until our legs grow numb and our feet get swollen!”
“You don’t have to be such an ass about this,” I offered.
He promptly dropped his arms to back to his sides and gave me a surly grimace.
“I’ve never met a human so demanding before,” he said, and I could tell by his smug tone that he’d settled for the least insulting word he could think of.
“You said you hadn’t met any other humans before me at all.”
“I haven’t. But you’re not setting an especially good example.”
Nevermind, my biggest challenge is shutting these two up and moving on with the goddamn story.
