Recently I got this message in my ask box:

I’m sure it was sent bc of the description on my latest picture. My response to you, @wem151, is that I like her 1st hairdo best and I don’t like her with long hair. BUT I do find cute the fact that it makes her look even more like Byakuya.

So bc of this ask, an image of Rukes joking about looking like him after her promotion came to my mind. Then I had to draw it - thanks for the inspiration! :)

(I know that Byaku isn’t the type to smile & I always draw him smiling, but it’s just that I like to think he does smile softly when he sees Rukia being really happy.)

Here are some close-ups:

The centre is a free space. Obviously.

It only takes seventy years, but after decades of waiting, Peggy and Steve find their way back to each other. It takes another year–one filled with breakfasts shared over newspapers and long walks through the streets of New York, stolen kisses in the hours between night and day and fighting side by side–before they finally make good on that dance.

The band plays something slow, Peggy teaches Steve the steps, and he nimbly avoids trampling her toes. It’s perfect.

Well, it’s perfect…until the arms dealer they have been tracking for months shows up at the dance club.

At Last - Etta James // Slow Serenade - Tape Five // St. James Ballroom - Alice Francis // Imelda May - Big Bad Handsome Man // Clap Your Hands - Parov Stelar // I Belong To You - Caro Emerald // History Repeating - Propellerheads ft. Shirley Bassey // Moondance - Michael Buble // A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square - Harry Connick Jr. (listen)

(Happy happy birthday @ladyanj! I hope you have a great day and a wonderful year!)

Dover: Give up yet?
Regina: Pff! A-as if!”

I feel like I’ve been uploading pictures which were beautiful rather than having a boyfriend vibe (which was why I started this blog) so I’m going to try and bring that feeling back ^^

I noticed your post on different Shakespeare editions, and I was wondering about your opinion on the Folger ones? They're my favorite because of their readability, but now I'm curious how the annotations and notes compare to others.

This is the post in question, for those who haven’t seen it.

I don’t actually own any of the Folger editions, mainly because they’re not common or popular in England (I’ve never seen a scholar using one over here, and there are none in my university library). So I can’t give you an opinion based on use.

But as far as I can tell from the digitised editions I can find online, they look a little on the basic side. And that’s not a bad thing! It’s just that, based on the notes and the content of the relatively short introductions, they look like they’re designed for enthusiasts of Shakespeare rather than for scholars.

What immediately strikes me is that the notes also tend to stick to relatively simple things that are often not explained in more scholarly editions (where they assume a certain level of knowledge already), and they don’t engage with developments in scholarly criticism like the Arden and Oxford ones do. The fact that they put the notes on a separate page eases legibility but also cuts up the text and makes it harder to compare the notes with the text on the same page. Also, the wall of terror (textual variants) are missing entirely as far as I can see.

So it seems that while Folger editions are certainly not bad editions, they belong to a different class of texts to the Arden, New Cambridge and Oxford. They look to be more along the lines of the Penguin or Wordsworth editions: a notch above classroom editions, but not quite scholarly editions; perfectly good enough for most Shakespeare lovers.

You were an Avenger, and one of the youngest, so like most people your age, you had things like Snapchat and Instagram. Because you were an Avenger, you were pretty famous on it. However you were busy in your job so you didn’t really talk about it.

Tony had bought Steve and Thor phones and they had heard of certain apps and decided to get them with help from Natasha and Clint, however they then had to leave for a mission.

(apart from the fact that I really need to redye my hair, that the instagram filter made my raven tattoo look awful and that I’m still cursed with this poor excuse of a face) I’m getting more and more comfortable in body which is a whole new and amazing feeling 💕

I finally got my copy of The Hobbit Extended Edition yesterday, and I spent the evening watching the movie and the bonus features! During the bonus features (which I am currently still watching) I got inspired to draw fem!Bilbo, because I love that headcanon far more than any other. It’s not too terribly detailed, but I’m rather pleased with it.
