i need to rewatch this movie!!

'dunkirk' facts:

· i did not cry but neither did i breathe for 1h 45min.
· this movie definitely needs to be rewatched at least twice for better appreciation.
· christopher nolan is a genious in case you still aren’t aware.
· this is by far the best war movie i have seen in my life. war films should neither romanticize wars nor shove overly patriotic heroes in our faces, and “dunkirk” does a great job of portraying war as a complete disaster.
· harry. styles. is. good. very much indeed. i didn’t expect anything and now i’m really wondering whether he’s planning on acting in the future. i’d love to see more of him.

yo kylie so i see ur rewatching baron omatsuri - whats ur fav part(s) of it? (if thats too specific then maybe a top 3/5/10 list?)

gosh literally every part is my favorite part tbh but i have 4 that stick with me the most

1. it’s literally the DUMBEST thing in the entire movie, but i loved the whole muchigoro part ESPECIALLY the moment where sanji literally breaks the 4th wall to tell us muchigoro is confirmed to be an idiot

2. zoro and sanji during the boat race. need i say more

3. for some reason the part where the toothbrush mustache dude just kept throwing fucking rocks at luffy’s head is a favorite of mine

4. the entire luffy vs baron battle. so much nakama angst. i love it

Quick interjection: When you keep saying ‘on the line,’ you do mean online?

Ok so one of the best parts of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was when Stan Lee was in space and telling the aliens how before he was a FedEx delivery guy, which was his cameo in Captain America Civil War. This means that all of his cameos are the same person, not just a bunch of random normal people.

little bad memory things :)
  • not knowing if you said something out loud or if you only thought it
  • “did i already ask you that?”
  • “what did you say”
  • raising your hand and putting it down multiple times in class because you can’t remember your question/comment
  • pausing in the middle of simple tasks because you can’t remember what you’re doing
  • “where is my [object i had in my hands literally 30 seconds ago]?”
  • not knowing someone’s name even though it’s the 5th time you’ve met them
  • rereading/rewatching books/movies because you can’t remember basic plot details
  • forgetting to look at the list of things you need to remember
  • forgetting the end of your sentence before you even start it/trailing off

FINALLY.

Spent the last five hours working on this.

I think I’m happy with the turn out though!

I’ve been rewatching the original series, watched the new reboot movie in the trilogy, and found @trashyscarface ‘s art all over again. So, that said, this one is a bit of a gift for them for all the utterly AMAZING art they do~!

That said, this was a lot more fun then expected even though it turned out a little messy, and I am DEFINITELY gonna draw the baes more. There ALWAYS needs to be more Star Trek art~.

I’ve been rewatching the original Star Trek movies for reasons, and somehow I don’t think I ever really put it together that Kirk stole the Enterprise and ruined his career with no expectation at all that he was going to get Spock back. The whole plan was to get Spock’s body and bring it and McCoy to Mount Seleya to do whatever Vulcan mystic funeral they need to do to preserve his katra; they didn’t know about Spock’s body being regenerated until they got to Genesis.

So Kirk’s endgame here was to end up both widowed and dishonorably discharged, with no Spock and no possibility of ever sitting on the bridge of a starship again. That is: without any of the things that make Jim Kirk’s life worth living.

He didn’t sacrifice everything to save Spock. He wasn’t supposed to get a damn thing for himself out of this mission. He sacrificed everything because if there’s even a chance that Spock has an eternal soul, then it’s his responsibility. In death as in life.
