Purpose

The purpose of this blog is to be a safe space for asexuals to find community with each other beyond the discourse. I hope this blog will be a fun and warm place for asexuals like myself to meet and gain fellowship with other asexuals.

Stand strong and stand together.

NOTE:

this is an asexuals only blog.

if you aren’t asexual, then do not follow, reblog, or interact with any of the posts here. this is a place for asexuals.  you may reblog this post for your ace followers though!

So last night I had a dream in which I went in a dark creepy alley, and there was a giant all squeezed there between the buildings.
At first I thought he needed help, but then he goes “Hey, do you want some drugs?”

I’m kind of a lucid dreamer, sometimes, so I knew this giant was just my inner desire for G/T, so I said “I don’t want drugs though, I want hugs…”

He looked shocked at first, but then he started crying, like I said the cutest thing he’s ever heard, and he reached out to pick me up and cuddle me.

It was certainly an experience, to find a giant good-hearted softie in a suspicious AF place. Like dude, buddy, what were you doing there? You okay…?

alastar-wyatt  asked:

Starter- ❝do you live here?❞

Not often did she travel to the mage district.  Well not true, maybe once a night she walked her route seeing if anyone needed their horse or whatever mount of their liking taken back to the stables.  Most magical users seem to like carpets, or odd little discs that did not require a stableman to feed.  Very rare did she find one who had a mount that needed her attention.

So this time Kallie took her time admiring the high tower, the bright flowers, oddities both human and none that floated around.  As she watched a candle hovering in the air she almost walked over the other.

The kind voice asked “Do you live here?”

With shake of her head and making sure he was alright did she reply. “No, magic makes my skin tingle.  I would never be able to sleep near a place like this.  I would always feel wired and off. I was just admiring the sights.”

In the fading light the shadows seem to mask her freckles, causing her blonde highlights to have a soft glow.  Her eyes seem brilliant, the green in the hazel showing itself the most this evening.  “Do you?  Are you lost?”

@alastar-wyatt

So for those of you who didn’t know...

Jack and Signe are getting harassed by someone on twitter, who has multiple accounts on twitter, the current ones being @paulinef_02, @paulinef01, @bwolf3384b, @jpurplelife2. They’re acting delusional, saying that Signe is abusive to Jack, and that Jack needs to break up with her. She also is stalking Jack, finding out the exact place he got his hair dyed, simply by his pictures. She’s sure that she’s in love with him and that they need to get together after he dumps Signe like she’s asking. It’s hard on both of them, especially Signe, so I think we all need to band together as a community, and not only report this stalker, send both of them some love, especially Signe. <3

Closeted Witchling HELP

decided to start a masterpost for young witchlings who sadly must hide their way of life. THIS IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. RESOURCES AND MORE TIPS WILL BE ADDED LATER

This post is for:

  • Inexperienced
  • starter witches
  • lgbt friendly
  • including all witchcraft not just wicca
  • urban witches
  • poor witches
  • all genders
  • closeted witches

DEITIES

Whomever your deity may be, you may want to make an altar for them. You may not be able to have a full altar with crystals, proper offerings, candles and such all over it but none of that is truely needed! little things can be made into altars or maybe a dedicated space! As long as your belief and prayers go to your deity thats all that matters! your deity understands! Example: say your deity is Athena! You may not have a statue of her but you can maybe put up a couple of flowers in a cup or a stuffed owl on a shelf and tell her that its for her! the way you do your craft is totally yours!

-Offerings can be the hard part. My deity is Abnoba, a Celtic goddess from the Black Forest. Her offerings are mostly Black Forest Ham, Black Forest Cake, and Spring water. Now i can usually provide this since we have Black Forest ham but my mom is gonna be kind of concerned about why my table has just ham on it. So, I do other things, like burn a candle, or talk and offer my stuffed wolf for her. Anything can be an offering if you deem it so.

CANDLES

Okay so not everyone can get access to multiple colorful candles. however for some witches who hide away this can be a completely normal obsession for some people! So maybe youre in the store with your mom, and you can ask if you can have a candle or two.  “What for?” want that room to smell like Honey Suckle Spring of course.

My mom bought me two candles AND an incense burner! My family is normal about essential oils and incense and candles so this was fairly easy for me.

Ive realized incense can be a bit of a tricky thing, but for me I had this dragon incense burner forever (it sadly doesnt burn incense well) and it takes the cones, but you can find like gift incense cases and such for the sticks! which is a common form of incense. I use cones but thats okay too! Any little thing helps! If you can convince your parent to buy an incense burner and buy some incense your set! if not, thats okay! candles will still work!

Essential Oils. These are used a lot more today than a couple years back. My family uses them for personal reasons and medically for my bro. These are beneficial though! you usually order them online but some stores have them in candle and incense isles. BE CAREFUL THOUGH. some oils are not to consume or for your skin! Most are for aroma therapy which you mic in water and put in a diffuser! (if oils do not agree with your sinuses steam works as well ive read.)

RITUALS

Rituals can be tricky if youre trying to have privacy and parents dont knock coming in or someone comes home early.I would suggest night time or bathroom rituals. for new witches or witches in cramped spaces, i suggest picking a time, get a candle and pray in privacy of a bathroom or late at night as everyone sleeps and leaves you alone. this goes for spells too.

ITEMS FOR RITUALS AND SPELLS

You may have read a cool spell to do, but you dont have that candle, that herb, that crystal, etc. Thats okay! Spells are easy to wing its the intent and the mindset that works with it! Maybe try easy spells with minimum effort or research and educate on the spells and what they mean. Write a list of items that maybe you can build up over time! this is the thing a lot of witches freak out over, note you dont need these things to be a witch. the belief in magic, and deities or however you do your craft makes you a witch!

CRYSTALS

anyone can be into crystals. Its a common hobby to hav crystals it makes it easy to collect when youre out and about. sadly though these things can be pricey. You can find some places that have packs of different crystals. I found a pack at a native american store in cherokee that had rose quartz, amethyst, white quartz, green quartz, jasper, and blue quartz. You can find Crystals or crystal jewelry at art stores, musem shops, malls, or tourist areas like Cherokee, Tellus Museum, and places that hold spiritual value or geology. Ordering them online is an option to! But any jewelry can be like crytsal usage and hold magick purpose.

HOLIDAYS

Mostly for Wiccan witches, you may celebrate holidays like Yule and such. Problem is the celebration. You probably cant make cakes, or certain things on that day. which is fine! you can always make yourself a decent lunch and in your mind its a celebration. you enjoy that grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Now being dragged into family holidays can be different. but some holidays can easily work with yours! Easter and Spring equinox fall in good alignment with one another! Other religions can be a learning experience to improve your craft or take in values you can adopt.

the spy au that @philosophium ordered !!

Andrew slips through a slit in the crowd, brushing through the sleek trains of expensive gowns, rich wool suits jackets catching on his own. He’s on his second flute of champagne, and the tartness keeps him focused. His attention is on the flavour and the rim of the glass and the warp of faces through it. His earpiece crackles and whispers.

He can see his mark on the opposite side of the room, surrounded by servers and liars and pretty things. One of them is all three, Andrew can tell: a waiter’s vest, a seam of over-applied foundation, and bright blue eyes.

He’s distracting, flighty, a rubber band pulled all the way back. He looks like the memory of a case file, and a name occurs to Andrew one second before Kevin hisses it into his ear.

“It’s fuckin’ Charlie Pilot. Don’t engage, Minyard, we’re not here for him.”

Andrew doesn’t make any effort to reply, just takes another pull of champagne. He’s not really watching the troupes of entertainers or the clockwork security or the velvet and silk blooming under bowing chandeliers. He’s not even watching the man he’s either going to rob or kill, who’s laughing and weedy, red in the face from the alcohol. He’s stuck on Pilot –  next to his target, holding a heavily stocked tray of appetizers, his expression pleasant and empty.

He’ll be an irritant to what should be a straightforward plan, if he keeps hovering. Andrew takes a loaded step forward and the voice in his ear complains.

“Don’t even think about moving in until Pilot leaves. He’s probably doing reconnaissance for Matt. I bet he doesn’t even know about the file.”

Andrew watches Pilot’s face tick, the way he blinks like he’s on a timer, the way he’s worrying the inside of his cheek with his teeth.

“I bet he does,” Andrew murmurs, and he drains the last of the champagne. He plucks his tie pin away from the fabric and drops it in the empty glass, leaving it on a passing tray.

“What— what the fuck Minyard, we’ve lost visuals. Do you hear me? Andrew? Andrew?”

Andrew weaves through the rest of the golden crowd, ignoring the buzz of Kevin’s reprimands in his ear. He finds a new spot on the outskirts of the crowd where Pilot has installed himself.

“Do you know how fucking expensive those cameras are? You’re such a piece of shit operative,” Kevin says. “When you inevitably come back without the intelligence and without our equipment, it’s costing us to keep you around, do you realize that?”

Andrew’s more focused on the way Pilot’s shoulders are turning to face him, the slim line of his tailored pants, that eyelash-thick smudge of un-blended make up.

“Shrimp?” Pilot offers, swaying the tray in his direction.

“No,” Andrew says, but he stays uncomfortably near, feeling along the edges of his boundaries without finding any seams. Pilot’s composure is still and reserved as a frost-ravaged garden.

“Have a good evening then,” Pilot says graciously, turning back towards the host that Andrew should be sizing up but hasn’t even looked at. He glances at him for a sliver of a moment, finds himself uninterested, and looks back at Pilot.

Andrew catches him suddenly by the arm, but relaxes his grip just as quickly, caught off guard by his own impulsivity. His own disguise is just an invitation and sun bleached hair; he isn’t playing a character like Pilot is. He’s neutral for a living, but Pilot is a new weight on his scale, unbalancing him so that he can’t quite settle at zero.

When their eyes meet, the polite, curious waiter snips out of existence. Charlie Pilot stares at Andrew, with eyes like the bluest part of a fire.

“There’s a conflict of interest,” he tells Andrew calmly. “And your interest will lose.”

“I’m not interested in anything,” Andrew says broadly.

“Hm,” Pilot says, unconvinced. “You’re lying.”

“I don’t lie,” Andrew says. He’s always saying it; it’s a novelty that employers enjoy and enemies challenge, amused.

Pilot raises his jaw, mouth twitching. “No, you wouldn’t, would you.” His eyes flicker to the side of Andrew’s face, where Kevin is breathing furiously through his earpiece, then down to the grip he still has on his forearm. He lowers his tray down until the rough edge is pressed to the root of Andrew’s hand threateningly. “You’ll want to let me go, Andrew, or you’re going to end up needing a longer armband.”

Andrew feels genuine surprise squeeze his fingers around Pilot’s wrist. He hadn’t noticed the black fabric extending a whiff beyond his crisp white sleeve. He lets go, and Pilot tucks his shoulders back, satisfied. His hair is too dark to match his freckles, Andrew notes quietly. It is, perhaps, what the make up was meant to cover up.

“You are not going to win, Charlie,” Andrew says. “We’re the more capable team.”

Pilot smiles indulgently. “‘Charlie’,” he repeats, mouth curling around the name. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been Charlie Pilot.” He jostles his tray from one hand to another, and loosens his collar with his freed hand. “And I don’t think you understand how much farther ahead we are than you. If you’re looking for information, we already have it. If you’re trying to find the connections this place has to the Yakuza, we’re the ones undoing them.”

“Who’s we? I don’t remember seeing anything about loyalty in your case file. You’re just a runner.”

Pilot looks briefly bothered by this, and he juts his chin again. “I’m loyal to whoever’s doing the work that needs to be done.”

“That doesn’t answer my question. Who are you?”

He looks down, at Andrew’s empty hands, at the hip where he’s hiding his gun. His expression is warped and sad when he looks up, like the real filling in his strange costume is finally oozing out.

“You can call me Neil,” he says, and drops the whole tray of food so that it clatters and rolls into the host’s feet. There are gasps and yelps, partygoers dodging and stooping to catch the runaway platter. Andrew looks impulsively down to track its progress, and when he looks sharply back up into the knot of activity, Neil is gone. Of course he is.

He doesn’t have time to think about where he might have disappeared to, just steps neatly into the opportunity that’s been afforded to him. He uses the distraction as a doorway directly into the offices behind the coddled host.

Kevin is asking repeatedly for updates, and Andrew fishes the earpiece out and tucks it into his breast pocket. He likes to be alone for this part, when the most important door closes behind him and everything makes as much sense as a ticking clock.

He keeps thinking of Neil’s reaction to ‘runner’, of the vulnerability trussed up in his persona. He finds himself sick to his stomach wanting to know what his real hair colour is.

He tries every door in the polished row of them, finding all of them locked. He picks the lock on the door farthest from the burble of the ballroom behind him, and cracks into what looks like a room built for business arrangements and drinking. There’s a snifter next to a half dozen tumblers on a cart along the wall, and extensive cabinets under the desk.

He feels his way along the underside of the desk, and opens each drawer, idealistically left unlocked and unprotected. He finds useless information and shady information and heaps of anonymous, unlabeled tapes.

He finds the safe in the floor, facing up patiently under a wingback chair and a panel of floorboard. He stoops so that he’s face to face with it, shrugs his jacket off like a dead skin onto the floor, and puts the heart of a stethoscope to the face of the safe.

He’s sweating, spread out surreptitiously on the floor, but the safe is flimsy. It cracks in under an hour, the party wilting two rooms over, pressure taking him by the hair. Andrew flicks the door open impatiently, unwinding the stethoscope from around his neck.

It’s filled top to bottom with paper, and he reaches for the first file, carding his fingers through the spill of sheets.

Got you, it says. Over and over again, in unassuming little typescript. And on the next page, got you.

Andrew’s fingers flex. The next file is the same, and the next. A million taunting, twirling repetitions: got you. Got this. Got here first.

The safe was already cracked. The list of names was already stolen. Neil’s face winks and swarms when he closes his eyes, furious. If you’re looking for information, we already have it.

He roots around for the bud in his pocket and pops it back into his ear. He leans back, splayed away from the spill from the safe, the stacks of failure. He enunciates clearly into the microphone sewn into his collar.

“We have to find Neil.”

I’ve always loved writing since I was little. I love writing stories, articles, poems, but I never kept a diary because I think it made me feel obligated to write everyday. Every time I started one, the entry would turn out something like “went to the market today. I really wanted to buy a toy but just did yesterday. Anyway, I think Brittany lied to me about her dating Jem”

Then I started high school and, well, let’s just say I needed to get things out somewhere before I become my own version of 2007’s Britney Spears. A journal is actually a really great getaway from all the sickening routines. You get to be entirely you, and nobody will say anything about what you think and what you write. Not to mention it’s very therapeutic and helps keeping your sanity.

I know a lot of people who want to start a journal but are not sure what to write or where to start from. So that is why, ladies and gents, I’m here to give you a lil help on that matter.

1.       Be As Blunt, Angry, or Happy

You’re fighting with your friend and you think they’re stupid? Jot that down. You think your math score doesn’t do you justice? Write about it. You got a new set of Crayolas and are very excited about it? Write it down too. It does feel a little weird at first, I did feel that too, but trust me you would feel a lot better and relieved after you finish an entry. Remember, nobody’s going to read it so if you didn’t have the chance to punch that one friend in the face, do it now. Mentally. Better to stay out of jail, right?

2.       No Schedule Needed

You don’t need to write an entry every single day. I never do mine regularly, but I try to keep it at least once or twice a week to make sure that I don’t leave it way behind. However, DO NOT go through 2 weeks without a single entry, the longer you don’t write, the more you feel like you can go miles without touching it. This would beat the purpose of starting a journal in the first place.

3.       Get Creative

You can be as creative and wild in your journal! Find some inspiration from youtube, tumblr, or pinterest and splatter some paints. It doesn’t have to be neat or have a deep meaning, just do some art when you DO feel inspired. You can also attach some memories like amusement park tickets, postcards, stamps, and many other things.

4.       It’s Not Meant to be “Photogenic”

Or you can make it as photogenic as you want it to be. Just remember that not every single page has to be colorful, has lots of drawings and Shakespeare’s poems on it. You see these journaling accounts all around tumblr and think “how do they make it so artsy?”. I’m pretty sure even those accounts have silly drawings and memes somewhere between those pages. When you start a journal, some pages might only have words upon words on white paper, some pages might have unfinished sketches. Don’t (just) do it for aesthetic. Do it because it takes off your negative vibes and brings positivity toward you.

5. Just Start.

Seriously. The more you procrastinate, the more you’ll think ‘nah I don’t need it anyway’. The ultimate guide is to start somewhere.

Whatever you write down, they don’t have to be interesting or mind-blowing. Some people think their lives are boring and not journal-worthy. Well, I write about Starbucks’ caramel frappe and trips to the nearest market while all these people are writing about their freaking road trip to another planet. No lives are boring. There will always be something to write about. If you’re still having a writer’s block, then I gotcha. Here’s a list of things you can put on your journal:

-Dream you had last night
-Letters to somebody
-A letter to your younger/future self
- Songs you need to download
- Answer your own questions
- 13 reasons why. Ex: Why you should get over that one ex, Why you love your best friend, etc
- Things you’ve learned today ( I do this a lot. It’s a great way to self-exam)
- Favorite things
-Things you regret buying (also a great self-examination)
- New words + definitions
- Morning/midnight ramblings
- Reviews of books/movies
- What would you be doing in 10 years
- Write about your Hogwarts’ house or MBTI personality

Sooo
This might not be a huge help, but I love sharing things and I find journaling to be very helpful for a lot of things.

Do you guys keep a journal? If so, what do you usually write about?

Hers

And there he stands in all his glory, laughing at something Chris Nolan said to him, a glass of whisky in his hand and his arm around her waist. And all I could do was stand here, from afar, watching them.

“He’ll notice if you keep staring, darling.” Anne handed me a glass of champagne.

“I-I-I was not staring. Just looking how wonderful they are together.” I could feel my face turn red by the second.

“Oh, darling, don’t try to fool yourself, I know you have feelings for him.” She smiled lightly at me. “Actually, I always thought you’re going to be together.”

My smile faltered and I looked at the floor. Silly Y/N, of course Anne knew. Apparently, everybody did! The boys, Gemma, Lou and now Anne. Clearly, I am not very good in hiding my feelings for my best friend. The guy who knows me better than anyone and yet can’t realize how much I adore him.

Harry and I have been friends since we were kids, really. Eventually we went separate ways: He went out to become the biggest celebrity out there and I went to college. Even though we lived in different worlds, we never stopped talking. We’re still best friends even after all this time.

I love him.

But it wasn’t always like this. When we’re younger, our parents used to tell us we would eventually get married. We’re too perfect for each other, that’s something we always knew, even though we didn’t have this types of feeling for each other.

It was in my senior year of college that this said feelings started to show. I spent a few weeks with him and the boys while they’re on tour and suddenly I started to fall for my best friend. If you have seen any movie out there, you would think that the feeling was mutual and we’re happily ever after. Not how things turned out, I’m afraid to tell you. I spent 6 weeks trying to find a way to tell him my feelings, even asked for the boys’ help, but when I was close to figure a way out, he met her. And gosh, how much he adored her. Since the beginning!

You know that stupid line that said when you love someone, you gotta let them go and find their happiness? His happiness was she and I couldn’t stand in the way of that. Even though I knew I loved him more than she could ever love him, it was time for me to set him free.

So I came back. Came to the UK, finished college and found a job I actually like. My life is all put together, as Harry likes to remind me. He’s right, my life is put together, except for my love life. I tried so hard to get over him, to not have feelings for him. I dated, I tried everything I could, but he was always there, in the back of my mind, even when I met my ex-boyfriend, Daniel. We broke up a few months later because he knew I had feelings for my best friend. Poor Dan, such a nice guy and I couldn’t love him.

Harry came back home. And moved in with her, much to my dismay. They’re together for 3 years now and they don’t seem to be breaking up anytime soon. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve thought about telling him, just to get it out of my chest, but I can’t. I cannot ruin this for him. I would rather suffer in silence than ruin his happiness and our friendship.

“Have you thought about telling him?” She asked me while we watched the couple from afar.

“I did.” I whispered. “I just can’t. He’s happy, Anne. He deserves to be happy.”

“My son is a fool, darling. He doesn’t know, but he does have feelings for you. A mother always know and I’m telling you he does. But I understand your side, I just don’t wanna see you both losing time with other people when you could be together!”

I breathed a laugh. Anne was always our biggest supporter, so it’s not a shock to me she would rather me with her son than his actual girlfriend. The poor girl is not a bad girl; she’s just not right for him.

She doesn’t get it how he can be such a morning person, always waking up at a 100%, telling everyone ‘good morning’ in his raspy voice. She thinks its annoying, but the truth is if he doesn’t do this, we’ll go back to sleep and miss his whole day. She doesn’t get his obsession for good health, but if she just asked him about it, she would understand he actually believes that those junk foods can kill you slowly, and he can’t lose anyone in his life, so we all have to eat health food. At least around him. She doesn’t understand how he can feel so down after reading mean comments on the internet, because for her how could The Harry Styles feel anything less than perfect?! He thinks he’s not worth it, even though he truly does deserve everything good that ever happened to him. However, he has insecurities, because by the end of the day, he is just Harry. And all he really wants is cuddles and a few reassurance words that those people are just mean people and are not telling the truth.

She doesn’t know him and a part of me thinks she just doesn’t want to. Yes, she knows what he likes for breakfast, what calms him when his in a bad mood, but she doesn’t know the little things I do.

It’s sad, if you think about it. He’s been with her for 3 years and she doesn’t get him. Maybe that’s why when he needs someone, he runs to me. He runs to my house at 3 A.M just so he could talk about his bad day. She never saw him cry, because he only cries when we’re alone and he can truly show his feelings. I’m the first person he calls when something good or bad happens. I’m his emergence contact in the hospital, I’m his safe place to go when he needs to just take a break. I’m the one who could leave her whole life on hold, just to take care of him when needed.

It’s sad because even thought I am his person, I’m not his and he’s not mine. She has him and I can’t truly express how much I wish that could be me.

“He looks nervous.” I pointed out to Anne.

“I was about to ask you this… Do you know why? He’s been like this for a few weeks now.” She looked deep in thought, trying to find a reason for her son odd behavior.

“I think…” I was interrupted by Louis, who looked out of breath.

“You need to stop him, he will make a terrible mistake, please Y/N, stop him!”

“Louis, what’s going on? What are you talking about? Breathe, Lou.”

“You don’t get it, he’ll…”

“Can I have everyone’s attention, please?” Harry called out from the center of the room. The party quickly died down, waiting for his speech. “I would like to thank you all for coming to my Dunkirk party. It’s so nice to enjoy the movie’s success with all of you, so thank you!”

Everyone around the room clapped and Louis was fussing by side. He looks nervous and I couldn’t understand why.

“As you know this is a special night for me and I wanted to be even more special. Lexa, can you come here, darling?” He asked his girlfriend to join him and I could already feel the tension growing around me. Anne, Louis, Niall, Liam, Lou and Gemma surrounded me and we all were just waiting for something to happen. Anything.

“Lexa, we’ve been together for 3 years next week and I feel so blessed to have you by side. I was smitten with you since the moment I saw you, you can ask Y/N for confirmation.” Everybody laughed a little and I could feel a knot in my through already. “So, in this special date for me and surrounded by friends and family, I would like to ask you…” he got down on one knee. “Will you marry me?”

And just like that my world stopped. I couldn’t hear anything, but I could see her nod and everyone clap for them. I think the boys were talking to me, but I could barely understand what was happening.

He proposed to her.

He is hers.

She is his.

And just like that I realized that all these years loving him, taking care of him, weren’t enough to make him fall for me. I was a silly girl who believed in the fairy tale that everyone thought we would live. I loved him with everything in me, I was always his but he was never mine.

And just like that I ran out of the party, leaving everyone – including the love of my life – behind.

I was always his.

He was never mine.

He was always hers.

MASTERLIST

The Three Keys of Magic

The Keys of Magic are a core principle shared by many different schools. While they may seem simple, the truth is that they can be challenging to master. Dedicate time to honing these foundational skills, and you’re sure to see results in your craft.

I’ve included here an explanation of each key, along with some of my personal tips and tricks for success.

Relaxation

It’s difficult to concentrate when you’re not comfortable. Minimizing distractions and developing an ability to focus through them will be essential. I’ve repeatedly insisted that meditation is the number one skill any witch or magician needs to master. This is one of the many reasons why. The importance of mental control seems like a no-brainer, but I’m always surprised by how often people neglect their meditation.

To begin, find a quiet and comfortable place to work where you are unlikely to be interrupted. Ground yourself, and clear your mind. Gradually allow all the tension to leave your body. From this empty, neutral position, begin to focus your will on your work.

As you gain experience, you should train by increasing your level of distraction. Practice relaxation and focus in places that aren’t ideal, so that you’re equipped to do even better. Cultivating your skills here will allow you to successfully work magic in less and less ideal situations, giving you an edge and the discipline necessary to be successful when it truly matters.

Visualization/Concentration

During your ritual, adopt a single minded focus. It’s not enough to express your desire, you need to see the thing you want as though it’s already come to pass. Instead of “I want a promotion at work”, think “I have been promoted”. See yourself receiving the promotion, feel the joy and satisfaction of your new role. Bask in your boss’ praise. To help make the thing real, try to engage all your senses. Imagine the way the place smells, what it tastes like, how it feels. What’s the quality of the light? What’s the soundscape like?

You must truly cement the thing as real in your mind. This key goes back to the Principle of Correspondence, if you’ve ever studied Hermetics. Even if you haven’t, you’re probably familiar with the phrase “as above, so below”. The continuation of that is, “as within, so without”. Make the thing real inside of you, so that in the next step it can become real outside of you. Take the time to sink into it. The solidness of this visualization will directly relate to the strength of the outcome.

Projection

This is easily the most difficult of the keys to master. In order for your magic to do any work, you first have to send it out into the world. All that energy, focus and desire you built up during your ritual needs to be released. For this to happen, you’ll have to relinquish all attachment to your spell, along with any desire for a result.

To help with this, I keep a journal of my workings. Following each ritual, I record what I’ve done in a dedicated book, along with any details I consider significant. Depending on your craft, those details may include things like the moon phase and the position of certain stars, or they could be the entities you worked with and any offerings given. I also make a point of recording significant occurrences, such as candles that wouldn’t light, strange sounds, or a personal mistake (these happen). Because I trust the integrity of my recordings, I feel secure releasing my work. Transferring the memory from myself into the book is a symbolic activity that helps me detach from it.

My personal rule is not to return to that writing for three months. At that point, I’ll review the ritual and assess its effectiveness.

Sometimes, even after documenting the work and trying to release, I’ll come back to a spell and discover that it didn’t have the desired effect. At this point, I’ll concede failure and begin a retrospective. Shockingly, this final admission that the work did nothing sometimes has the power to complete the third step, causing your results to manifest. If you find your rituals aren’t resulting in an outcome you’re happy with, consider the possibility that you haven’t truly let go of them.

PEARL NEEDS HELP. Please, read!

This is Pearl, a super crazyass yorkie who gets everyone’s love after 20 seconds spent with her. She’s gonna bark at you, she’s gonna make a ugly face and try to grab your hand, which will get you to think she dislikes you, but that’s actually a smile and once she gets to your hand she’s gonna lick everything and keep asking for your attention, & she keeps doing that, but with the running around replaced by a sad cry trying to get you closer. She’s 2 years old and has been with me for one year now. I may sound like a crazy person wanting help for a dog which people would pay a lot of money to get, but that’s not my case. I’m completely against buying pets, just so you know. Her previous owner is the one who got her and gave Pearl to me as she was about to move from where she lived and wasn’t able to take care of Pearl. My previous dog had died of old age a year before that and she knew I was missing company & would take good care of her dog, that’s why she gave Pearl to me. I know, this isn’t about me, but I just wanted to explain that I’m not a rich person with an “expensive” dog. I’m not. I’m just someone who was there when she needed, and I also needed her.

She was SUPER active. Like, really, SUPER. Jumping from here to there, running around like crazy, etc. Until one day I woke up and she wouldn’t put one of her paws on the ground. I got her to the vet for a consult and she explained to me everything and I’m gonna try to explain to you even though I’m not an expert:

She has patellar/kneecap dislocation on one of her back legs, which means her “kneecap is dislocated normal anatomic position in the groove of the thigh bone (femur). When the kneecap is dislocated from the groove of the thigh bone, it can only be returned to its normal position once the quadriceps muscles in the hind legs of the animal relax and lengthen. It is for this reason that most dogs with the condition will hold up their hind legs for a few minutes.”

But there are degrees of complications. At 1 the dog puts it in place on its own by stretching the leg, most people don’t even notice that, I guess I didn’t. With the “persistence of the condition, as well as the amount of degenerative arthritis that is involved. Typically, a dog with a dislocated kneecap will exhibit prolonged abnormal hindlimb movement, occasional skipping or hindlimb lameness, and sudden lameness.” The vet said this is actually kind of normal between small races, like Pearl.

The vet wasn’t able to put it in place (manually), it kept sliding/dislocating. Meaning: she’ll need surgery, which is going to open up space so the bones fit in place and don’t dislocate anymore - explained in my words, which are easier to understand, believe me.

I already “paid” (creditcard which I have no idea how I’m gonna pay) for the consult and the x-rays, which confirmed she’s gonna need surgery, but I don’t have conditions to pay for it all. The surgery itself costs at least R$5000,00 (about $1600) + postoperative care. I’m still researching about prices but that’s the least expensive I was able to find for now, and still gotta check every places’ backgrounds to see if they’re reliable.

I’m completely devastated seeing little Pearl like this. She was this super happy and crazy dog and now she’s just… there. I want to help her, I need to help her, but I can’t… not alone. I’m currently unemployed, not because I want to, but because it’s really hard to get a job around here.

The vet just said she shouldn’t move that leg and for me to try to make her not to,as movement equals more conflict. But she didn’t say how, that’s all on me. On the pic you can see my attempt to make it still with a piece of cloth wrapped around her knee, not very effective so I’m accepting ideas.

I can’t seem to get a paypal button to work on a tumblr post, so I added to my tumblr HERE (under my description), if you can please go there and contribute, I’d really really really REALLY appreciate it.

If you can’t donate throgh that page, you can also transfer using my e-mail, which is: gabr3ux@gmail.com

If anyone can give something, even if it’s just $1 or $0.50, it will help. If you can’t, PLEASE reblog. It’ll mean the world to me and Pearl. Please, please, PLEASE help.

Thanks for your attention. Hope I come with good news soon. :(

EDIT 1:

(2017/07/16) $88.2 (R$280BRL) +  £ 10GBP (somewhat R$40BRL) + R$10 BRL, totalizing R$330BRL. I’m very thankful for all of your help, srsly <3 it pains me to have to ask for something like this, but it was the only way & place I could think of. I’m still far from what Pearl needs, but I’m positive I’ll get it. Her previous owner is trying to get help from her friends as well and for know was able to give R$100BRL, as this caught everyone by surprise. We’re doing this together, and now with y’all too ♥ Thank you ♥

EDIT 2:

(2017/07/24) got $55USD (R$173BRL) since last update. please help guys :( she needs to get this surgery as soon as possible!

Hearthstone Charm

It’s been a hot minute since I posted a spell or craft. Here’s one that’s both.

This is budget friendly and super low energy. It’s based on the Hearthstone in World of Warcraft (because you know me, I love my pop culture witchery). In Warcraft, your Hearthstone allows you to teleport back to one ‘home’ location anywhere in the game. You find an innkeeper, tell him to set that location as ‘home’, and then after that, you can return to that spot any time you choose no matter how far away you are.

That’s the idea we’re harnessing here. “There’s no place like home”, if you will. Sometimes I’m out in a public place and I get overloaded and really need to go home, or I’m having a really difficult day at work and I don’t want to be there anymore. I keep this stone in my pocket and then just hold it when I need a breather. I use my stone to get myself to a ‘home’ mindset, giving me a feeling of safety and calm. (If you want to go to the extra effort, you could enchant your stone to be a ‘go home early’ charm if you want to physically go home, but that’s up to you.)

You will need:

  • A rock from your chosen home location
  • Paint or a marker (light blue if you’re sticking with the Warcraft theme, but as usual, you do you, boo)

That’s it. That’s literally all the materials you need.

Now, I say “chosen home location”. My rock is from my yard at my house. For some people, their house is where they want to escape from, not return to, and that’s okay. You can also choose a rock from your school, your friend’s house, a park you love, or wherever you feel the most safe.

Here’s the beauty of the spell: The rock is already charged and cleansed because it’s been hanging out in the ground like rocks do, absorbing all that ‘home’ energy.

Give the rock a clean, but NOT a cleanse. You don’t want to clear out the energy your rock already has, but you do want to make sure you’re not carrying around any gross bacteria in your pocket. Soap, water, maybe some rubbing alcohol or something, but leave the salt and incense smoke out of it.

Paint or draw on the swirl symbol you see above. (If warcraft isn’t your jam and you have a different symbol you associate with home, or you want to make a sigil, go right ahead.)

That’s it. You’re done. The ground already did all the work for you, so you don’t need to expend any of your own energy.

My darling @blacktofade‘s birthday was, uh, two months ago, so here I am, ten years late with her birthday present. ILU BB!! If this lil au seems like it should be a full-length fic, that’s because it desperately tried to be, and I had to keep chopping at it to keep it under control, like some kind of rouge hedge on meth. (Now on AO3!)

In the hours after the fight, Stiles drives and drives and drives. At first it’s late, and then it’s so late that it’s early, but he keeps on driving, fueled by anger, mostly in silence, though somewhere around the middle of Pennsylvania he thaws enough to put on some music. He stops at a rest stop just past the Ohio border to get a breakfast sandwich, and as he sits at a dirty table and eats, he thinks: shit.

Doubt begins creeping into his thoughts; maybe he’d been too hasty. Maybe he should have given Jay a chance to explain - but no, no, fuck that. He’d always made it really fucking clear that if their relationship ever got to the point where cheating seemed like a good option, he’d rather just be broken up with and yet look what fucking happened. Stiles scoffs scornfully, chucking the wrapper to his sandwich in a nearby trash can. Two and a half years down the drain.

Refreshed by a new wave of anger, Stiles heads back to his car and gets back on the highway. He manages to wrangle his phone from his pocket and, ignoring the multiple text and missed call notifications, he calls his dad, who picks up with a sigh.

“You know what time it is?” his dad asks, and Stiles looks at his dash guiltily. He’s been so worked up that he forgot about the time difference - or the fact that even on the east coast, it’s early, the sun barely above the horizon.

“Sorry,” Stiles says with a wince. “I’ll call back later.”

“It’s fine,” Dad says with another sigh. “I just got home from an overnight shift. Everything all right? You’re not usually up before ten.”

Stiles opens his mouth and then closes his mouth, startled by the raw ache in his eyes.

“Stiles?” his dad presses, somehow gentle and sharp at the same time; Stiles is worrying him.

“I’m - ” Stiles clears his throat, tapping his fingers against the wheel. “Um. How would you feel about me moving home for a while?”

Study Habits to Develop.

I am nearing the end of my grade 11 year and just wanted to share the study habits that I developed (and I wished I picked up from the start) when taking up VCE for the first time.

1. Learning Style - There are a bunch of learning styles such as (visual learning, auditory learning and physical learning). I for one learn through visuals and jotting down notes over and over annnd over again just to get it through my head.

2. Always have a planner - If you’re a Starbucks fan (like me) - I usually just use my Starbucks planner that I get at the end of the year through collecting stickers and what-not. Having a planner is really useful to write down reminders for school and writing down goals. I also get if you don’t like planners… so I recommend using your phone or any device that can store details of reminders.

3. Have a specific time to do homework - If you get distracted by alot of things (like me) you should set a time in the day to get work done. In my case, this study habit wasn’t really developed I just had it pounded into my head when I was younger. Just have an alarm on what time you need to do your homework.

4. Find a “study zone” - Find a place where you find comfort in studying and where you can be really productive. Usually I just hang around in my room as it is very quiet and nobody really disturbs me.

5. REST - It is 100% important to get things done, but if you’re really drained from all the school activities - you need to take a power nap and regain that energy that you’ve lost. When you wake up, drink water and you’ll be good to go.

* Note: You may get distracted (trust me, it’s normal) - try to think about the time you’re wasting not getting work done and how much time you couldve saved to do whatever you wanna do after getting things done.

Up and down

Pairing: Yoongi x reader

Summary: It´s a hot summer day on set and Yoongi can´t handle watching you lick a popsicle without wanting to fulfill his fantasies.

Word count: 4.326

Genre: Smut

Warnings: graphic smut.

Author´s note: This was on private but I´ve arranged it so that I can  repost it since I had to correct a few things.

It´s smutty and I´m not ashamed lol

You hadn´t planned this at all. You were supposed to be in your apartment, probably taking a nap or watching one of those movies that made you cry rivers even if you couldn´t relate to the character´s love life in any way possible. Yet when you had received a rushed and frantic call from your boss saying they needed you for today´s shoot, you had submitted to readjusting your plans and had driven all the way up to a forest in the middle of nowhere after cursing in three different languages. And now, there you were, almost whining at the lost of your day off.

On top of that, it was bloody hot. You squinted your eyes trying to block the sun as you made your way through the crowd, cameras already placed all over and staff members running across the set almost bumping into you and barely muttering an apology. There were various insects in the air that added up to the dry ambient and the fact that there wasn´t a single tree near enough to shelter under its shadow didn´t help at all. Your hands worked with a hair tie tying all the strands into a bun in an attempt to cool off and, slapping a mosquito that you had caught trying to suck your blood, a heavy sigh escaped your lips. Coming here - you could´ve rejected it, but it would only make you feel more miserable.

“Y/N! Will you please stop texting and tell me if this mirror is straight?” Yoongi called out impatiently from the living room.

“Someone’s cranky,” you tease from your newly shared bedroom. You were were careful not to knock over the hours worth of unpacking stacked neatly around you.

He was staring at the wall, absent-mindedly running his finger across his lips as he always did when he was thinking. You had never seen a man that deep in thought about an inanimate object. The sound of your camera clicking makes him turn around, the look on his face sending a smile across yours.

“What’s so funny?” he asks, pouting at your enjoyment.

“I’ve never seen someone hang a mirror so seriously before.”

He turns around and focuses back on the gilded frame in front of him, “This is our first apartment together, Y/N. I want to make sure it’s perfect.”

You stare at him quietly, taking in the moment in front of you. Yoongi was never one for sentiment. He was a serious man, but deep down he there was a softness. A softness that he only let you see in brief glimpses, catching you off guard every time he does.

“It’s perfect,” you whisper as you walk up behind him, wrapping your arms around his waist.

“Can I take a photo of us?” he asks, pulling out his phone from the pocket of his hoodie.

You nod as you bury your face in the back of his neck, taking deep breaths of the mixture of cologne and sweat and shampoo. You smile, wishing you could live in this moment forever.

Farewell, Pretty Little Liars.

Today is the day that we must finally say goodbye to Pretty Little Liars. With its never-ending theories and constant renewals, the PLL endgame always seemed like an intangible, abstract and theoretical concept that is just so far away, that it will simply never come. It feels so surreal to say that today is that day, which again, over the years, was never in sight. I thought watching Pretty Little Liars would just be some light, weekly, background entertainment. On June 8 2010, I did not truly know what crazy rollercoaster I had stumbled upon. Through numerous ups and downs, these past 7 years have certainly been unforgettable. If you told me seven years ago that a television show will have such a positive impact on my life, I would have laughed at you and called you dramatic. Tell me that today, and I’ll smile in appreciation at the positive influence and power a television show can bestow upon its viewers.

Not every show makes it to seven seasons, particularly mystery shows. Seven years is a long time. I started watching this show when I was 13, and I am now 19. (I realise I am probably very young in comparison to most other PLL fans!) Just to visually see this: Pretty Little Liars was with me while I was 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19. These are arguably some of the most important years of one’s life. As I grew, PLL grew too, in a literal sense, as we got a time jump where the characters matured, but also in figurative sense, since the stories gradually shifted from being high-school oriented to dark and twisted themed through a demented dollhouse and a psychologically straining board game. All while PLL was on the air, I graduated from primary school and high school, started university, got my driver’s license, my first job, credit card, car, gone overseas by myself, and made life-long friendships. Achieving all that never was easy, but it was made easier by PLL. If I ever struggled in my personal development, I always had PLL to fall back upon for psychological stability and security, aside from general entertainment. A part of me sees the end of PLL as if the training wheels are coming off my bike: for 7 years, I was learning how to become a young man, and now that I finally am one, I no longer need this safety rock that is PLL in order to continue developing.

This long, personal post is dedicated to me and my seven-year relationship with Pretty Little Liars.

GOT7陳奕迅 - 浮誇

Lyrics:

Bambam: If people ask then I will talk, but nobody comes

I wait and wait but even when I have things to say, I don’t get the chance

Mark: My feelings are like a bottle cap waiting to be opened,

yet my mouth is growing moss

Jinyoung: In a crowd of people the quieter you are the less they

pay attention, you need to make your own scene

Yugyeom: Like suddenly breaking into song,

treating any place like an open stage

Wearing the flashiest shirt, pretending to be cool

Remember to stick your hand in your pocket when they take pictures

Jaebum: You can treat me as a show off,

but I only do it because I’m really scared

If I was like a piece of wood, like a piece of rock, would I be noticed?

Youngjae: It’s because of a fear of being forgotten that I exaggerate so

How to be elegant through my uneasiness

Jaebum: Does the world still praise silence?

If I’m not explosive enough, how will I find topics to

exaggerate about as a great entertainer?

Bambam: The year that I was eighteen,

I stood like an idiot at the school prom

At that time I tearfully swore that everyone must take note of me

Mark: There are too many plain and ordinary roads in this world,

which house and village do you live in?

In relationships, in work, I have been neglected too much

my self-esteem has all but hit rock bottom

Jinyoung: Attention can cure hunger, and if you haven’t gotten any then you

will know why I have so many flashy moves

Making these mistakes so people will look at me, does that count as sick?

Youngjae: You can treat me as a show off,

but I only do it because I’m really scared

If I was like a piece of wood, like a piece of rock, would I be noticed?

Jaebum: It’s because of a fear of being forgotten that I exaggerate so

How to be elegant through my uneasiness

Youngjae: Does the world still praise silence?

If I’m not explosive enough, how will I find topics to

exaggerate about as a great entertainer?

Jackson: Not many are lucky,

and if you’ve never been one then you will know why

I put in ten times the effort to be one that stands out

Can normal people be as controversial as me?

Yugyeom: You can call me a show off, I’m not afraid even if you boo me

If there is boredom when I’m around, why don’t I perform for you?

Jinyoung: Am I hysterical enough?

You can practically water flowers with your tears

Jackson: I only want to surprise you, did I seem non-existent?

Raising the stakes, even the veins of anger have surfaced

Tell me, do I exist now?

Youngjae: Look at me, don’t just look at the ceiling anymore

I’m not your cup of tea but you can still drink anyway

Don’t forget someone is making himself hoarse for you

listen y'all. i’m lazy. like “eats yogurt with a fork because i didn’t feel like washing a spoon” lazy. so, although no one asked, i made this post about how i lazily study languages! obviously this might not work for everyone, so experiment and find what works best for you (also i’m not a photographer so my pics kinda suck, sorry).
