PLL 7x11 - Some thoughts.
After months of waiting, thinking and coming up with theories PLL finally returned for the very last time this week. The very last season premier. The very last one. It makes me really said that after seven years we have to prepare ourselves for the beginning of the end, for the last chapter and for saying goodbye to this “little-show-that-could”. This seven-year long ride has simply been a wonderful one and I will miss this little show which I called my favorite show for the past seven years deeply.
At the beginning of the episode the PLL’s receive a gift from A.D. just when they thought that they killed them (Noel Kahn) and that it would finally be over. Well, I guess every viewer knew that Noel was definitely not A.D. so that they receive some sort of threat again wasn’t a surprise to me at all. When they opened the gift it revealed itself to be a board game of Rosewood and I have to admit I think it really looked awesome and I cannot wait what this game has coming for the PLL’s in the next few episodes. However, when the phone on the boardgame showed the words “Endgame Bitches” I got goosebumps and almost started to cry. Goosebumps, because even though the board game didn’t look scary, it was kind of creepy that someone invented a game just for them and called it “Endgame”. Who knows what this A.D. has planned for them now that they are ready to end the game once and for all. And tears, because it again remembered me that it is the beginning of the end and that there is just so little of PLL left.
Another thing about the boardgame: did Lucas create the game? I’m not saying that he’s A.D. but he could be helping them? I mean he helped Mona when she was A in the past and I always thought that he was a bit sketchy. I also never truly believed that he completely forgave Hanna for not stopping Alison when she bullied him. What I also thought was kind of odd is that Hanna and Emily had been living in his apartment ever since the time jump and that they have been discussing everything concerning A.D. there. How come the thought of the apartment maybe being bugged never crossed their mind? If that’s really the case, no wonder A.D. has been one step ahead of them all the time.
I was very very happy that we got some answers concerning Spencer being Mary Drake’s daughter already in the first episode. And what a douchebag Peter Hastings is!! Not only did he cheat on Veronica with Jessica and even had a child with her, no he cheats on her again with Mary (thinking it was Jessica) and has another baby!? I thought it was really sad how Veronica found out about that. Jessica came to her, told her everything and even asked her to adopt the baby. Come on Peter, at least you could have told her yourself! I felt so sorry for Veronica and what she had gone through and when she told that story I even started to cry. You could see how Spencer’s world just started to fall apart and I have a feeling that she will never totally forgive Peter for what he has done. What I also noticed was that Veronica, from the moment she first held Spencer in her arms, never, not even for a second, regretted adopting Spencer. While I still hope that Mary Drake has no evil agenda and that Spencer and her will have some sort of mother-daughter relationship, I still hope that this revelation will not destroy Veronica and Spencer’s bond. I hope that Spencer will find a way of forgiving Veronica.
What I’d really want to know now is if Melissa knew about Mary and that Spencer was adopted?
To sum up, it was a great season premier and I cannot wait for the next few episodes. Even though with every episode we will come closer to the end and as of now I don’t know how I will handle that.
Also, as a true Ezria shipper since the beginning, I really want to know where they stand. Another thing: at the beginning of the episode, when the cast’s names were mentioned on the screen it said Andrea Parker but the actress wasn’t in the episode!
