There’s a little girl waiting in a garden. She’s going to wait a long while, so she’s going to need a lot of hope. Go to her. Tell her a story. Tell her that if she’s patient, the days are coming that she’ll never forget. Tell her she’ll go to see and fight pirates, she’ll fall in love with a man who’ll wait two thousand years to keep her safe. Tell her she’ll give hope to the greatest painter who ever lived, and save a whale in outer space. Tell her, this is the story of Amelia Pond.
i miss you and the way we’ve grown together but your heart is getting corrosive just as mine once was and im willing to wait for you please tell me its gonna end up okay. i want us to work. and i miss my mom. i love you. love your friend pond
I’m basking in the realization that the Christmas Special is the hope that every River Song fan has had since her introduction in 2008. An entire episode focused on just her and the Doctor.
No Amy and Rory (I miss you, Ponds)
No Paternoster Gang
Just River and the Doctor and random secondary characters to fill in a plot to distract the kiddies while those two flirt themselves into a frenzy (just how much eye sex is allowed on BBCOne at teatime anyhow?)
We get an entire month of build-up, teasers, pictures, and interviews. Those of us in the US get to see the Christmas Special in the cinema (finally, a screen big enough for her hair.) December is going to be absolutely saturated with “The Husbands of River Song.”
And by the stars, I AM GOING TO ENJOY EVERY LAST SECOND OF THIS.
