I really want a flashback of what Touka has been through over the past few years since Anteiku was destroyed. I’m so desperate to know what she went through personally that led her to become so mature and calm and collected. Obviously people mature with age, but it’s not that simple. She’s shown extreme growth as a person, and while I think she was forced to grow to a certain extent due to circumstances, her view of the world and of her father have evolved so much that I’m just curious. With Touka having been out of the picture for so long and her now being elevated to such a central position (which I’m definitely not complaining about, I missed her so much) in the story, I think it’s necessary to know more of what has and goes through Touka’s head, and not just through the things she outwardly expresses to others. And I don’t think the new ch negates her growth in any way, but I guess I feel that it would have been nice to have had a little more insight into how/why she has become who she is before she was elevated to such a major position. With Kaneki being the main character, we get a lot of insight into his character mentally and emotionally through moments of his own personal reflection. It would be so nice if the audience were able to learn more about Touka in that way. I’m pretty hopeful about what Ishida will do with her character from the recent ch, especially since she was portrayed in such a respectful and positive way, but I’m just anxious to know Touka as much as possible. I’m so proud of her character development, I just want to know all the details.
Obviously there must be a lot of commonplace things that airport!Erik 'missed out' on (like, he didn't really go to school, and I doubt that he's been to, like, Disneyland, for example, or worked as a cashier). Can you talk about some of the 'taken for granted' stuff that he hasn't done? Which things does he himself most regret not having done, if any?
