i miss this series it was fun and with great cast

Why Ducktales is important

At least…If you like Disney Television Animation.

Which I do.  Oh so much.

If you’re a fan of Gravity Falls, or Star vs. The Forces of Evil, or Wander Over Yonder, or Kim Possible, or Gargoyles, or any Disney Television show, then gather ‘round because I’m about to teach you some history.

“Never forget, that it all started with a Mouse,”~~Walt Disney.

Great things come from humble origins.  Never forget that Disney TV…All started with a Duck.

It was the 1980s.  Disney Television Animation was a new department at Walt Disney Studios.  And Disney was suffering.  These days it’s easy to think of Disney as a mega-giant, but back then, Disney was suffering.  Movies were being produced on shoestring budgets, and animators (such as Don Bluth) were jumping ship to find work at studios that were paying better and producing better content.  The Little Mermaid hadn’t yet hit theaters, sparking the Disney Renaissance.  The fledgeling animation department had produced two shows prior, “The Wuzzles” and “The Adventures of Gummy Bears”.

Disney was in dire straights from Walt’s passing in 1966 left the studio suffering up until the 80s, when they started to take a few risks.  Risks that paid off.  The studio gambled on the idea that investing more money into quality animation would pay off in the long run if the show went into syndication.  It was something that worked well with live action, but had yet to be done with animation to that degree.  Cheap animation with tons of shortcuts could be syndicated, but something high-quality had never been done before.

Ducktales was the first show that attempted this, and it paid off handsomely.  Not only was the show a hit with audiences (and a merchandising cash-cow) but it changed the game.  It set the stage for the Disney Afternoon a few years down the road, and paved the path for every show I mentioned at the beginning.  Without Ducktales, there would be no Gargoyles, no Star vs. The Forces of Evil, no Gravity Falls.

Heck, I take it even one step beyond that…Without the inspiration of proof-of-concept, I’d wager that even OTHER studios cartoon creations wouldn’t exist.  No Animaniacs, No Adventure Time, no Steven Universe (and don’t think I missed the shout-out to Ducktales in “Onion Trade”)

Ducktales was important because it raised the craft of animation to another level, combining storytelling with good, non-repetitive animation to produce quality TV.  For a time, Ducktales was Disney’s Flagship TV series, waving the banner and representing the company in the realm of television animation.

And even today, the classic Ducktales series holds up rather nicely.  Sure, some things are a little dated, but at the end of the day, I enjoy watching Ducktales without reservations.  That’s why I own the DVD sets.

And it’s why I’m so happy about this reboot.

This isn’t just a revamp of an old show.  This is Disney returning to its roots, reclaiming a bit of it’s history and polishing it off for the next generation.  I’m a little misty eyed.  I had some initial misgivings when this was announced, but the cast announcement melted those fears away, and now, seeing the trailer that dropped less than 24 hours ago…I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited for a TV series ever.

Breaking down this trailer, we finally hear David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck.  I’ve actually been aware of Tennant’s presence in the voiceover scene for a few years now (Most notably, he plays bit parts in the How To Train Your Dragon franchise from Dreamworks) But hearing him as Scrooge…I really feel it works.  He’s got a certain quality the echos the late, great Alan Young, and I feel like he couldn’t have been better cast without some of that good old fashioned Disney Necromancy (And as we know, they used up their allotment of Necromancy on Peter Cushing for Rogue One)

I love that the Nephews are getting unique characterization and personality. I loved Russi Taylor’s performance way back when, but one Nephew was really interchangeable with another.  Dani Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Chris Moynihan really bring an awesome chemistry to their roles, just from the trailer.

And then there’s Webbigail.  Oh my God, I love how they’ve rebooted Webby.  She was always the annoying load back in the classic series.   Making her a Donald Duck fangirl is freaking GENIUS (and Kate Micucci is perfect for this role too) Bonus points given for Webby’s infamous “Quacky-Patch Doll”  being used for dart practice in the background of her room.  Webby has gone from outright “The Load” territory, to one of the most fun-seeming characters present in the reboot.

And all of this from one minute and a half trailer.  I can’t wait for this series, even though I know I must.  I know it’s gonna be something special, I can feel it.  Maybe even Disney’s Flagship show, once again.  Stay tuned to my Tumblr, for much, much more.

One thing I know for certain that I’m going to do when the pilot for this airs…A side by side comparison of the Classic Pilot and the new one.

Peace out,

Disney Wizard

WONDER WOMAN: MORE THAN WONDERFUL

Ever since the first trailer came out, I could not stop waiting for this movie. Finally, on June 1st, it arrived in cinemas.

And even without a night of sleep, I pulled my closest friends to the theater to go see it. What I found? A movie that did not disappoint. Most people always disagree with me when I say I am a DC fan. Seriously? Why do they always have to compare to Marvel? Can’t we all just appreciate the superhero movies equally?

With that being said, let’s take a look at everything I loved about Wonder Woman.

*Warning: Spoilers ahead. *

1. LITTLE DIANA

Bless this beautiful, beautiful child. She did a great job of playing a young Diana. I think the audience gave a collective, “Awww” when she appeared. With her doing cute little kicks and punches, it just added to the overall cuteness. But then she gives you this smirk and you know that the Princess of the Amazons is also a stubborn, sassy little girl who knows what she wants and goes after it.

2. EPIC FIGHT SCENES

The trailer alone showed some great potential in the fight department, but actually seeing everything on the big screen gives you this whole new feeling! It’s the “holy-shit- I- can’t- breathe” feeling. The kind where you stare with eyes wide open because you’re afraid that if you blink, you’re gonna miss something cool. The first few minutes of the movie, with the amazon warriors fighting off Germans on the shores of Themyscira (thank you, Steve) was amazing! We also see Queen Hippolyta and Antiope in action. (side note: my fave part would have to be her jumping onto a make shift shield that Steve grabbed and killing a sniper, taking down the whole top of the church doing so).

Bruce got nothing on that lasso.

3. Steve Trevor

I love Chris Pine. I have loved him ever since he came out in “Princess Diaries 2” and “Just My Luck”, when I was still a teenager in high school. And then he went and became Captain Kirk in Star Trek, and my fangirl heart could not help but love him more. Now, he has proven again how great he is by playing the charming, fearless, and disobedient Captain Steve Trevor.

I’m so glad he chose to do this over Green Lantern! He was great when they were using the Lasso of Truth on him, but the funniest part for me was when Diana dropped by while he was taking a bath.

Diana: Are you a prime example of the average man? (or something like that)

Steve: No, I’m above average.

4. Gal Gadot

Unlike most people, I had nothing against Gal (or her allegedly small boobs *insert snort*) when she was first cast as Wonder Woman. Honestly, I was more concerned with how the story would go, but damn. She proved everyone wrong. She played the role perfectly. Perfectly. I am not joking. I cannot imagine anyone else who would’ve done a spectacular job as her. (And take note, she was pregnant whilst shooting this).

She could be fierce, emotional, humorous. She lighted up the screen, man. Figuratively and literally. And yes, she rocked that costume! Ugh that costume! At first, I was skeptical. After all, I am a big fun of the comics, and I sometimes hate it when they change these iconic things about characters (e.g. Barry Allen not being blonde in the TV series or the movie). But I came to love it. It showed more of her Amazonian roots than her iconic outfit in the animated series before.

5. No Man’s Land

This was the best scene/ segment of the movie for me. I had goosebumps watching her climb up to No Man’s Land. Add that to the fact that Steve tells her the soldiers have been there for nearly a year and haven’t gain an inch, yet she just strolls up there like is a fcking field of lilies and is dodging bullets better than The Matrix. My heart. My fangirl heart.

Everything about it was so right. You have these bleak, grey landscape and yet Wonder Woman is wearing such vibrant colors. Then there are these slow- motion sequence where she’s blocking the bullets like some sort of freaking Jedi. And her shield seems to like glow while she’s getting hit with a machine gun and and and she’s dodging those bombs like they’re nothing. Nothingggggg. Then everyone else follows her and charges at the enemies. And I’m just sitting there like:

Up to now, my feels are still overwhelming. The story was great, the cast was great AND THE DIRECTOR, PATTY JENKINS. YOU ARE A BLESSING FROM GOD. I cannot wait for the Justice League movie. DC got this right, and hopefully, they keep getting it right.

To the Check Please fandom: I love you, but you guys are missing out on something that I think you’ll love.

It’s called You Could Make a Life

The latest Check Please update currently has over 12,000 notes on tumblr and the ycmal chapter with the most likes and comments has less than 1000. Based on how great ycmal is, I can only assume that you guys are unaware of its existence or these numbers would be more similar.

It’s superficially similar to Check Please in that every story is about a gay, male, hockey player and his life on and off the rink.

Keep reading for my pitch or just go straight here and treat yourself to some fantastic writing

Ycmal is a series of stories that exist in the same universe but can each be read independently. There are nine (NINE!) complete stories ranging from less than 4000 words to 158,966 words (trust me, when you read this long one, you’ll be grateful for the length).

In addition, there are so so many short snippets about the characters. Think Ngozi’s extras but this is where the author’s incredible generosity comes in. Most of these stories are based on direct requests from readers and they range from “everybody’s cats!” to bodyguard AUs. If you’re still not convinced then read on.

To borrow some quotes from that amazing Check Please primer that went around for a long time:

What’s that you like zany casts?

Dan Riley: The gateway drug and a true romantic

Marc Lapointe: Shitty’s social justice in an almost Bitty-sized body but with more pretentiousness, and he’s French! (Canadian)

Ulf Larsson: Swedish sex god who makes bad decisions

“Vinny” Vincent: His teammates call him Bambi and he’s a goalie

Anton Petrov: Angry bub defence man

David Chapman: Seriously his character development is the most amazing thing. You will LOVE him

Jake Lourdes: We voted on what we thought of him and half of the suggestions were some variant of “golden retriever”

This isn’t anywhere nearly all of the characters. I haven’t even touched on the supporting characters and they’re all delightful

Are main character guy and pupil guy going to kiss? (No, nobody stylistically differs by having pupils but they all have pupils so it still fits)

There is pretty much always kissing ;)

How do I read every [ycmal story] ever?

Good question, we’ve got you covered.

This is the author’s Archive of Our Own page, which has all the official plotted stories

This is the author’s tumblr, which has all of the extras and also where you should go when you need to yell at someone once you’re crying

OKAY YOU GOT ME (hopefully). Here are a few hours of my life. What do I need to do to get into this rad universe?

Good question, we’ve got you covered. Again, we voted.

The number one recommendation as long as you’re up for paying for a novel right now is purchasing You Could Make a Life here. This is the namesake of the whole universe, the epic love story of Dan and Marc and a book that I have read approximately six separate times not including the times I’ve read sections.

The number two recommendation depends on what you’re feeling right now.

- between the teeth is my personal favourite. It is absolutely incredible in terms of plot and character development, and it has a lot of my favourite characters. (Hold your breath for Kiro people, then you can use the breath you saved to laugh your ass off) This is the long one though so maybe the next suggestion?

- Vinny gets a life would be an amazing first entrance to this universe. Vinny is a super fun narrator and the story and central relationship are both compelling

- In taking it apart has the tagline “He made his bed and then he fucked a teenager in it.” This one earns an Explicit rating on ao3 more than any of the others

- No expectation of returns is the ultimate friends to lovers so if that’s your jam, start here first

Just please don’t start with throw up your fists, throw out your wits because that one can be emotionally tough to get through.

You guys, Check Please is an incredible and unique work of art but everyone I know that loves ycmal loves Check Please so I think they cater to similar tastes. Give these stories some love and improve your lives.

Winter Anime Final Impressions

I was supposed to do this like two weeks ago but with Gundam ending so late and me getting swept up with many things, I didn’t have the time, but here’s a quick rundown of the best and worst of the Winter season. I’m gong from best to worst and also since I watched very few shows this season, I ‘m not gonna break them down in best/meh/worst

Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu: Sukeroku Futatabi-hen

A masterpiece to the very end, as heartbreaking as it was full of joy and love. There was this weird insinuation at the end that didn’t sit well with me at all and I’m not sure why they felt the need to do it, but I can overlook it because the rest of the picture is so wonderful and special and heart-wrenching. When Konatsu asked Yakumo to make her his apprentice, I actually cried. What a beautiful show. Don’t let the obscure antique Japanese art keep you from experiencing one of the best anime of this decade.

Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto-hen

I was a bit worried about this one because lately, when an “old” show gets a sequel many years after it last aired, said sequel turns out underwhelming and poorly done. See D.Grayman HALLOW (which also adapted my favorite arc from that manga) and Berserk (production values aside, the decline of this is due to Miura’s gross storytelling, so I guess it was inevitable). But I was more than surprised and ecstatic to see this rendition of the Kyoto arc did justice on the source material, with excellent production values, a good pace and wonderful emotional and action scenes alike. AoEx is one of the finest examples of the battle shonen genre and that translated wonderfully to this new iteration of the anime. I can only hope we’ll see Izumo’s and Shura’s arc eventually too.

ACCA-13-ku Kansatsuka

I was a Little on the fence on this one at the start, but once they laid down all the cards and tied all the loose threads, it became absolutely amazing. I’m sorry I ever doubted you Natsume Ono, your ability to craft smart and fascinating adult stories shall never be questioned again. Definitely worth checking out if you want to try something different to your usual anime genres. Helps that the visuals are really interesting and that Mauve is such a bae. I still feel Jean was the weakest link with his absolute nonchalance, but even that somehow worked at the end. Definitely worth going through the somewhat slow initial episodes.

Yowamushi Pedal: New Generation

NGL i’m not a fan of Kaburagi, he’s so much like Naruko I don’t feel he adds anything to the team. But this is now officially the Teshima show and that compensates for the snooze that is Kaburagi because Teshima has become so fabulous and cool I’m just excited every week to see what he’ll do next. Also the First-year race was a true highlight and I’m very disappointed Sugimoto didn’t make the cut, they did a fantastic job in making him likable, so it was sad to see him lose. Hopefully he’ll get to assist Imaizumi when they’re 3rd years.

This show’s a lot of fun, with really sweet animation and it also sports the Best Girl of the season, Sucy Manbavaaran, although I gotta say there were a bit too many fillerish episodes and it was frustrating to see them take so long to get the plot going. I’m not hating on the show, it is in fact extremely entertaining, but it’s a little lacking on the plot department. Hopefully we’ll get more of that on the second cour.

Classicaloid

I’ve never been happier of not quitting a show as I am about Classicaloid. By episode 3 I was on the verge of giving up because it wasn’t what I had expected, but I kept going and I ended falling so hard in love with this show I’m ecstatic it’s getting a second season. Once I embraced the absurdity, it became the best comedy of the season, and I honestly would watch Schubert’s fishy misadventures for 52 weeks a year. It’s an acquired taste for sure and not easy to recommend, but if you’re willing to let go of all reason, you’re sure to have a good time.

All Out!!

I have a lot of love for this show and its characters (and Sekizan’s ridiculous hair), but I’m afraid the pacing they chose basically doomed them because with the abysmal sales, it seems unlikely we’ll ever see a second season and therefore we’ll never get to see if Jinko does get to Hanazono. It’s a perfectly competent sports series, that does a really good job of developing its huge cast, definitely much better than the likes of Prince of Stride or DAYS, but its inconclusive ending is quite frustrating. I really do hope we get to see more of these boys, but Madhouse’s never been all that good with the whole getting-sequels-done so…

In spite of its low ranking, this is actually a really good show and a unique take on teenage female sexuality that you wouldn’t normally see in this mostly sexist medium. Hanabi made for a truly interesting protagonist and I liked seeing her explore herself and her relationships. I was however quite disappointed by how little focus we actually had for Hanabi and Mugi’s relationship. I felt there was more telling than showing in that regard, especially in the latter half of the show. The ending was pretty good and mature in spite of everything, and as always, I’m just really fond of all the vaginal imagery in the ED animation. Could’ve done without Moca though.

Gundam: Tekketsu Orphans

At the end of the Fall season, I expressed my concern about pointless, meaningless deaths. Clearly the Gundam writers thought I wasn’t concerned enough because the amount of characters that died pointless deaths went on to, I think, the double digits. I wouldn’t have minded the carnage if there had been some sort of payoff to the sacrifices. For example, if Shino hadn’t stupidly and conveniently missed his one shot because the show couldn’t afford to kill Rustal yet. I always felt Orga, Mika and Akihiro had a ton of death flags looming over their heads, but I certainly didn’t expect all three of them to get to the chopping block. Orga’s death was particularly random and pointless, but then again, what they did with Orga in general was very confusing. That he agreed to McGillis’s sketchy propositions to become “king of Mars” never made a whole lot of sense to me and that’s the result we got. I’ll also never get over how creepy and weird the whole Atra giving Mika a baby thing was. In short, I have very mixed feelings about it.

I could write thousands of words for everything that was wrong with this series but I think it wouldn’t make justice to the absolute experience that is watching this amazing trainwreck. Go watch it to see a masterclass of how not to anime. Honestly I had such a good time hating this show, it was so horrible in every possible way. Good job GoHands, even animate, who sponsored this show, won’t give it any publicity.

Super Lovers

I’m not sure of how this production team managed to put out 20 episodes of nothing actually happen. Like you just have to give kudos to the writers for managing to simply not do anything over the course of 6~ hours of content. No drama, no decent comedy, no character development, not even relationship development in a BL romance. It’s kind of amazing how pointless the whole thing is. The dog’s still cute and the relationship is still creepy and gross and that’s about all there is to say about this.

Although most of the shows I watched turned out great, it did feel like a weaker season because there wasn’t that much that was interesting (my Wednesdays were literally empty). Or maybe everything looks lackluster in this post-Yuri on Ice world D: But there was Rakugo and rakugo is good and I’m glad we live in an age in which such a niche, quiet and adult artistic show could be made and tell a complete story.

Top 10 British Sitcoms! (In my personal opinion)

1) Father Ted (1995 - 1998)

What’s funnier than a bunch of bizarre priests and their clumsy housekeeper who loves tea? Well, barely anything. Hence why this is my number one.

Father Ted is one of those comedy shows that always seems to be on a channel somewhere, and no matter the episode, I’ll end up roaring with laughter. I adore this show on a magical level, and it’s definitely hard to top.

2) Blackadder (1983 - 1989)

Rowan Atkinson at his finest. Don’t get me wrong, I adore Mr Bean, but Blackadder is just spectacular. Fast paced, sarcastic and hilarious, it’s another show that I can always just pick up and burst out laughing at. One of the most interest aspects of the show though is the different era per series, however keeping the same amazing cast. Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and Tony Robinson’s characters also having a special place in my heart due to the antics and hilarity.

3) Fawlty Towers (1975 - 1979)

The quintessential British comedy sitcom. I don’t want to say too much about this, because if you have never seen it, shame on you.

4) Black Books (2000 - 2004)

Quite simply one of the greatest, but shortest, sitcoms ever created. Anyone who has actually seen this show has regarded it as one of their favourites of all time for good reason. Black Books follows the character of Bernard Black, the owner of a shoddy and sticky bookshop, and lacks all regard or care for people. The majority of the comedy is derived from Bernard’s two ‘friends’ who attempt to make his lifestyle more socially acceptable, much to his despair. I truly recommend checking out this show, but be prepared to be annoyed that there isn’t more!

5) Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em (1973 - 1978)

Probably one of the favourite comedy shows I watch with my Grandfather. Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em follows the character of Frank, a childish, often moronic and insanely clumsy individual who only wants best for his family, although all he does is infuriate and anger people. A show with amazing catchphrases and hilarious situations, I simply adore this show.

6) Dads Army (1968 - 1977)

An amazing comedy focused on the Home Guard during the Second World War, the Home Guard were the volunteer army of those deemed ineligible for military service, usually due to age. The majority of the comedy derives from the pure uselessness of the group, and their lack of contribution to the war effort. The humour is often subtle and hilarious, I’d recommend it to anyone, I love it.

7) Porridge (1974 - 1977)

Ronnie Barker was one of the penultimate lords of comedy, that is all.

Porridge follows the goings on in the prison HMP Slade, following the character of Fletcher and his cellmate, an inmate serving his first sentence who Fletcher takes under his wing. The characters are strong and well written, as well as having amazing comedic timing and execution. The majority of the comedy comes from the interactions between the prisoners, as well as their relationships to the guards. It’s a show with a lot of heart and a lot of fun.

8) Red Dwarf (1988 - ?)

Sci-Fi and sitcom, a bizarre genre hybrid that was an amazing gamble, but alas paid off incredibly well for Red Dwarf. The show follows the interesting cast of characters aboard the ‘Red Dwarf’ ship, all of whom are odd and interesting in their own ways. Unfortunately, I would not do the show justice if I were to attempt to describe the plot, so I shall urge you to check it out yourself. Trust me when I say this is an amazing show though.

9) Only Fools And Horses (1981 - 2003)

One of the longest running and most popular sitcoms in Britain, for good reason might I add. The show primarily follows the family of Del-Boy, Rodney and their Granddad (who is later replaced by Uncle Albert due to the unfortunate passing of the actor). The show is set in Peckham, a district in the south east of London, known for it’s working class citizens, the comedy mainly deriving from the vast array of occurring characters, as well as Del-Boy’s constant attempts of quick-rich schemes, with his main catchphrase being, “this time next year, we’ll be millionaires”. The show is a lot of fun, and the characters are all well written and performed and it has truly earned its cemented place as being one of the best in British history.

10) Outnumbered (2007 - 2014)

Literally the most hilarious ‘family’ in Britain. Holy crap, I adore this show. The show is centred around a middle-class family who live in West London, the parents of whom, are ‘outnumbered’ by their 3 children. Jake, the typical teen, Ben, the hyperactive and strange child, and Karen, the oddly sarcastic child with a lot of questions, and a lot of answers.
In essence, it’s a great show with hilarious situations, Karen and Ben being the funniest and most interesting parts of the show in all honesty. Even though it’s number 10 in my list, it’s amazing and I think everyone should attempt to watch this show.

And that comes to the end of my list, have I missed anything? What are your top 10 British Sitcoms?

My thoughts on Riverdale so far...

I don’t watch CW shows anymore because they’re all shit (usually after S3) but I was a HUGE Archie comic fan so here goes - Ep 1-7

- Veronica is a boring. Literally no depth. Or maybe there is. It’s just not interesting enough. Bathroom breaks.

- Archie and his Troy Bolton story line can go kiss my ass

- All my RL friends hate who they chose to play Archie (KJ) but I don’t think he’s so bad. The only funny thing is the difference in him and Jughead’s voice….LMAO Cole is a man with a deep voice while KJ is a more realistic 16 year old (he’s only 19 so that’s understandable).

- Jughead is cool and emo. Doesn’t eat 500 burgers in one sitting like the comics but I appreciate that the writers are trying to do something different.

- LOVE Betty. And the actress who plays her is AMAZING….and she’s only 20??!!!

- Kevin is great but I already sense that he’ll be reduced to a side gay character thats just there. I miss him and Betty’s interactions :(

- Beronica will never happen. They’re just playing y’all

- Jughead was asexual in one out of the THOUSANDS of Archie comics. Get over it. He’s straight in the series just like he was straight in 99% of the comics.

- Cheryl is amazing. Truly an iconic queen. They picked the perfect actress.

- Josie and the pussy cats is spot on. All that sass. Plus they have AMAZING voices. Not the same as the comics….but better!

- Why are the parents so mean to each other’s kids. You’ve literally known them since they were BABIES

- Ngl I love Alice Cooper tho. So much fun to watch

- I love Bughead and the reasoning behind it. If you re-watch the episodes you’ll see all the not-so-subtle hints of Jughead bing jealous- like when Betty had a date with that one ex-football player

- I LOVE that the show is addressing all these issues like sexism and racism without being extra and actually incorporating it into the storyline.

- Can’t wait for Archie’s band vs. Josie’s band in Battle of the bands

- But most of all I can’t wait till Archie actually gets a storyline worth watching

- Also interested and excited for the Jughead/Betty/Archie love triangle that the cast has teased. The actress who plays Betty (Lili) has great chemistry with both

8 Reasons to Watch: Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

Im so sad that this k-drama ended and so in love with it that i needed to make a 8 reasons to watch post. First things first, sorry for any english mistakes. Hope you enjoy this post! :)

There are some spoilers in this post, especially in item #3, but nothing too revealing.

1. The Main character

When you see a strong female character in a k-drama, she’s often faking her personality or just being rude. Kim Bok Joo is a strong character and she’s still a human being. She lifts wheight, dedicating herself and putting her strenght on it and then she goes home to have fun and drink with her best friends. The main character show us that you can be strong and empowered and still live normally. That’s why we like her so much: she’s a female symbol of strength and still a young women who wants to enjoy her life and have some fun.

2. The swag couple

This is one of the cutest couples I’ve ever seen. In the end of the drama you’ll just be thinking “Omg, I wish I had a relationship like this!”. Bok Joo and Joon Hyung discover their first love in the peak of their lives, when they can do anything, like Bok Joo said in the last episode. That’s what makes this couple so special: their relationship is full of love, youth and affection.

3. Portrays Serious Issues

When I got to know the girls from Rythmic Gymnastics, I got really sad. They had to private themselves from eating in order to achieve perfection. Look at that: Song Si Ho even developed eating disorders. The scene which some girls break a scale in the middle of the night might seem fun to some, but to me it was really sad. We need to give more attention to Song Si Ho: to me, she’s one of the best characters in this drama.

4. It makes you laugh

Sun Ok, Nan Hee and Bok Joo = FRIENDSHIP GOALS! I died watching their moments together, not to mention the question “Do you like Messi?” who make me laugh loud. This drama is surrounded by funny scenes (like when they go to the amusement park) and the sound effects in the background, like the guy saying WHAT? just make them even funnier, don’t ask me why.

5. And even cry!

The whole thing with Joon Hyung and his mom are so sad. Family bonds make a great presence in this drama: you most certainly will get emotional seeing how much Joon Hyung’s uncles and Book Joo’s father try hard to provide everything to their children.

6. Lovely soundtrack

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo doesn’t have a big soundtrack, but it’s lovely and pleasing to listen from the first song to the last. The theme to all songs is “First Love”, and they’re going to make you remember the main couple’s sweet moments together. My favorite song is From Now On! What’s yours?

7. Amazing cast

This drama’s cast is amazing! They are not only good actors: they had lots of fun recording Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and became close to each other. Nam Joo Hyuk even said he want’s to play a main couple with Lee Sung Kyung again! Isn’t that cute?

8. It is unique.

Weightlifting Kim Bok Joo is not only about love: it shows us the power of true friendship, working hard to achieve your goals in life and a family who always tries to keep you happy. You’ll end this drama missing all the characters, and I’m not even kidding. This drama also teaches us that we need to enjoy our youth, the most beautiful phase of our lives. Kim Bok Joo is a young girl, and she’s just like us in various points. That’s the story portrayed in this k-drama: a young life, lived with lots of swag.

When the boys mentioned that the Hamilton cast was having a party that night at a bar near the theatre you couldn’t help but groan internally. You’d had a long, exhausting day at work, coupled with a headache that just wouldn’t leave you alone and all you wanted to do at home that night was cuddle up with your two favorite guys and sleep.

At first, you thought about just telling them you’d stay home, but they looked too excited to just let loose and have a good time with their friends and knowing them if you wanted to stay home then they would too.

“I told you she’d look good in that dress,” Daveed says to Oak as you make your way out of the bathroom.

You hadn’t put a lot of effort into your appearance tonight, after throwing on the black dress the boys had bought for you, touching up your make-up, adding some lipstick and pulling your hair up into a messy bun you were ready to go.

“I never said it wouldn’t look good” Oak comments as you slip into a pair of flats, way too tired to deal with heels tonight.

“Yes, it looks great can we go now?” you ask, unable to keep the impatience from your voice.

“What’s wrong babe?” Oak asks, wrapping his arms around you allowing you to rest your head against him.

“Nothing I’m just tired. I’ll okay once we get there” You assure him. He presses a kiss to the top of your head as the three of you head for the front door.

Notes: I’m glad that you like the first part guys! This is probably going to become a series, are you excited?? Tell me what do you think, hope you like it!!

Oh, and the title will make sense in the next parts of the story.

Part 1

“Hey (Y/N)!” You heard someone by your side and smiled when you saw that it was Cliff. He took you to a room in the hotel, next to the big auditorium where the panel would happen. The fans weren’t aloud to go there, but the cast didn’t stay there either, so normally people of the production passed through it. It had some food tables and some couches in there. You were sitting in one, with Lottie sleeping in your lap. “So, the photos were revealed. Here you go.” He said extending you three pitcures. You remembered taking just two….

“Thank you!” You said happily and looking at them, your heart melting. The first one was the one in which Lottie was in Jared’s arms and he and Jensen were hugging you; you didn’t see anything different in the second one at a first glance, but then you saw that Jensen wasn’t smiling at the camera, he was looking at you with adoration in his face. Your heart sped up, and you decided to see the other picture before you passed out. The third one you hadn’t seen Chris take. It was the exact moment when Jared entered the room, Lottie was in Jensen’s arms but with her arms extended to Jared, both with big smiles.

“They’re beautiful…” You said and Cliff smiled.

“Glad you like it… The panel will start in 5 minutes, and since all the chairs are already occupied, Jensen said that if you wanted to see it backstage…” Cliff said and you opened your mouth in surprise, Jensen himself offered for you to stay backstage?? Was this really happening?

“Yeah, of course.” You said nodding with your head.

“Great, you just have to pass thought that door, and turn on the first right. I must go, have fun.” He said and waved goodbye. “Oh, I almost forgot the VIP card.” He handed it to you and you thanked him. You slowly shook Lottie to wake her up, and she opened her dark green eyes yawning.

“We have to go, okay?” You said and she nodded, still a little confused and sleepy. You put the photos in your bag, and with your daughter in your arms, you got up following the directions that Cliff gave you. You entered the backstage area and immediately saw Jared kissing Genevieve, his wife, and Jensen’s face lit up when your eyes connected. He was already coming in your direction when Jared tapped his shoulder pointing at the stage. Jensen waved to you before entering the stage with his friend. You saw Genevieve and Felicia, a.k.a, Charlie Bradbury talking, and although you really admired them as actresses too, you were too shy to go talk to them.

You could hear all the fans screaming, and you sat in one chair that was around and that gave you a perfect view of the stage. After ten minutes, Lottie started to really wake up. She sat in your lap, slowly rubbing her eyes.

“Hey there.” You said and she sighed.

“Hi” She said looking around. “I’m hungry.”

“You want milk?” You asked and she nodded. You put her in the ground and noticed how she was looking fixedly at the stage. You got her formula, putting it in her baby bottle and shaking it before handing it to her.

“Mommy look! It’s Charlie!” She said stopping what she was doing and you frowned. Before you could stop her, she ran into Felicia and started to talk to her.

“Lottie!” You said going after her. “I’m so sorry” You said to Felicia and Genevieve.

“No problem! She was telling me that ours names are the same.” Felicia said and she smiled down at Lottie.

“But mommy calls me Lottie.” Your daughter said. “But i’m Charlotte.” She explained and the woman laughed.

“Are you new in the production? I’ve never seen you around.” Genevieve said politely and you shook your head.

“I’m actually a fan… Lottie was sleepy and Cliff brought me to a quiet room, and he said if I wanted to watch the panel, I could do it from here.” You explained a little embarrassed summarizing the story.

“How cool! I’ve never had this luck, I’m actually so unlucky.” Felicia said sighing and when you saw, you, Felicia and Genevieve were talking like you were old friends. Both had adored Lottie, and Genevieve told you about her son Tom and that she was pregnant with their second child, which surprised you a little because she hadn’t told the midia yet. You told them that you got pregnant when you were just 19 and how difficult it had been to raise Lottie alone.

You didn’t see the panel very well, but it didn’t matter, you talked to two amazing actress and you couldn’t be happier. You heard the fans getting noisier, and Jensen and Jared entering the backstage area again. Oh, the panel had ended… You really didn’t want this to end.

“Hey! I see you met (Y/N)” Jared said smiling, putting his hand in his wife’s shoulders.

“Hi (Y/N)!” Jensen said getting closer before you could say anything to Jared. “Had fun?”

“Definitely.” You answered smiling to him, noticing that Felicia was with Lottie in her arms showing her around to some people and Genevieve was talking to Jared. “You were amazing out there” You said reffering to the parts of the panel that you saw and he smiled.

“Thank you, it’s always so fun doing panels.” He said. “I see that Lottie has become quite the celebrity around here.” He said pointing to your daughter who was talking to some girls while holding Felicia’s hand.

You smiled looking at her, and because of that you missed the smile he gave while looking at you. Jensen opened his mouth but was was interrupted by Jared before he even started to talk.

“Sorry to interrupt guys.” Jared said standing next to them. “But we don’t know where to go to dinner… Someone suggested a sushi place called Makishi. You in, J?”

“Oh, that place is falling apart.” You said without thinking. Shit. Who were you to tell them where they could or couldn’t go?

“Really? Well, good you told us, you have any suggestions (Y/N)?” Jared said interested and you were surprised that they were actually considering your opinion.

“Hm there’s is great sushi place next to where I live, and a very good pasta house around there too.” You said including the pasta restaurant where you worked, not really trying to advertise it since it was truly nice.

“I guess we should give it a try.” Jensen said looking at Jared and he nodded. You told him the name of the restaurants and he went away to tell everyone about the new location they would all go have dinner. “You want to go (Y/N)? I imagine you haven’t eaten yet.” Jensen said and you frowned. Was he really inviting you to go have dinner with the entire cast? An ordinary fan like you? You gulped, feeling your heart speed up.

“Mommy!” You heard by your side, and you both laughed because of the interruption, looking at the little girl still holding Felicia’s hand. “Mommy!” She said again running to your arms and you bent down to pick her up. “I wanna go home…” She said with a pout, and you sighed looking at Jensen, and he understood. You wouldn’t be able to have dinner with them.

“Felish, Jensen, let’s go” Jared yelled from the other side of the room.

“Well, it was a pleasure to meet you (Y/N), you too Lottie.” Felicia said giving you a hug and squeezing your daughter’s hands, who gave her a kiss on the cheek, making her melt. You said the same to her, and she went away.

“Do you need a ride?” Jensen asked not being able to stop himself. This had never happened with a fan before, not even when he found some girl really beautiful, and he couldn’t understand why he was doing that, but he did realize that he didn’t want you to go away, he didn’t want this to end.

“Thank you, but I’m with my car. If you guys want though, I could show you the way since the restaurant is next to my house.” You said struggling and again, you were interrupted by Jared.

“Jensen we are 5 to go in Cliff’s car, can you go with Danny?” Jared said referring to another security guard, and your throat was starting to ache in an attempt to stop yourself from offering him a ride. He wouldn’t want to go with you, not without any security. Lottie smiled to Jared and he smiled too asking you if he could pick her up. You nodded and she went to his arms. “(Y/N) I’m sure that my friend over here already invited you, but you’re more than welcome to come with us.” Jared said making an involuntary smile appear in your face.
“I appreciate the invitation, but I really need to go home…"

"Hmm… (Y/N), since you’re going to guide us to the place, do you think that I can go with you in your car?” Jensen asked and you almost passed out.
“Of course.” You said and he smiled to you.

“Great! You sure you can’t go?” Jared asked making you nod and point to the little girl in his arms. “Oh I understand, a shame though. But let’s get going?” He said and you and Jensen nodded. You got Lottie from his arms, and Jared went in a different direction to go meet the rest of the crew.

You bend down to get your bag with all yours and Lottie’s stuff, but Jensen was faster, picking it up from the floor for you.

“Thank you.” You said with a small smile and you felt your cheeks burn. He smiled and you two went in silence through a different way, from which you had arrived, and through a private corridor so the fans wouldn’t see you three. You got in your car, adjusting Lottie in her baby seat while Jensen put your bag in the trunk. What a situation with your favorite actor that you never imagined yourself in.

“Cliff is waiting for us just outside the parking lot.” He said while looking at his phone and you nodded. You started driving, already seeing Cliff’s car up ahead.
“Mommy, put the duck song!” Lottie screamed from the back seat of the car, and you gave Jensen a sheepish smile as he laughed loudly.

“I’m sorry…”

“Sorry for what? I love the duck song!” He said excitedly, looking back to where Lottie was and she laughed. You turned the radio while you were leaving the parking lot, seeing Cliff’s black car following you. Lottie started to sing the song and Jensen tried to follow the music, dancing and making faces with her. You and Lottie were laughing hard. Oh god, he was such a wonderful man… But after some songs and lots of laughing, she started to get tired. You turned the volume down, and soon she was passed out.

“Is her name really Lottie, or is it just a nickname?” He asked curious.

“Nickname. Her name is Charlotte.” You said and he smiled looking at her again.

“Well, she is adorable.” He said repeating what he had said in the photo Op, making you smile proudly. “So (Y/N), tell me, were you born here in the city?”

“Oh no, I was born in Illinois.” You said.

“And why did you move?” He asked and you twisted your lips.

“Hmm… My family didn’t support me when I got pregnant, and I decided to move away from them. Different life, you know?” You said and he sighed.

“Yeah, I know. But you were of age when you had her, weren’t you?” He asked a little confused.

“Well, yeah, but I was 19. Still too young to earn their acceptance, apparently.” You said struggling and he let a little gasp of surprise.

“19?” He asked surprised and you looked at him smirking slightly.

“Why, do you think I look that old?” You said messing with him and he smiled, a little embarrassed. This was definitely not what he was implying.

“Quite the contrary.” He started. “It’s just that you’re so mature… So responsible with your daughter” He said, a warm tine in his voice and you sighed.

“I guess I just have to be, there is no time to be reckless with a little child. Actually, this is the first time in a long time that I’ve gone out to make something for me.” You said and he looked at you with a serious face. He wanted to tell you that you had to take care of yourself more often. That you had already done a lot for Lottie, and that you deserved some time for yourself. But he knew that if he said that, you eventually would start the ‘what happened to the father’ subject, and based on your reaction in the Photo Op, he supposed you didn’t really enjoy talking about him.

“Sometimes it’s good to make something for yourself.” He said instead, and you smiled.

“Yeah, who knows what could happen if you take a risk?” You said and for some reason those words stayed on his mind. “By the way, sorry for the fangirling, but you’re Jensen Ackles, I mean… I’ve seen you on Tv for years and now you’re in my fucking car” You said excitedly and he laughed, thinking of how adorable you were.

“I’m glad I am.” He said simply and you felt your cheeks turning red with those words, and you swore that you tried to avoid the little smile that appeared on your face.

“So Jensen, now it’s your turn to tell me something about you.” You said trying to end the little awkward silence after his words.

“Hmm, I’m sure that you’ve already searched everything about my life, so there’s not much to tell you.” He said messing with you and you contained a smile.

“Shut up!” You cried and he laughed. “I have a daughter to take care of, okay? I don’t have time for stalking.” You said playfully.

“Yeah, sure” He said like he didn’t believe in you, and you rolled your eyes.

“And we are here.” You said sighing, stopping your car in front of the sushi restaurant, seeing Cliff’s car stop too. You didn’t want him to go, and he didn’t want to leave. “Thank you for today, Jensen. I had the time of my life.” You said finally being able to turn your body and look straight to him. “And I’m sure Lottie did too."

"It was a pleasure (Y/N), it was really nice meeting you.” He said with a small smile, searching for your hand that was resting on your lap. He squeezed it before gently kissing it. Your heart was almost stopping but you were trying to calm yourself by thinking 'You’re a fan, he does that to all the fans.’ “You’re…” He started and let a small laugh escape his mouth like he was embarrassed. “You’re amazing and you deserve to take some time for yourself once in awhile.” He said smiling and you couldn’t not smile back. “Take some risks.” He said kissing your cheek and getting out of the car before you could even understand what happened. The rest of the crew was waiting for him at the entrance, and he looked back at you when he got there, waving along with everyone else before entering the doors. You sighed when you couldn’t see them anymore, but when you started the car again, you were smiling.

“So…?” Jared asked hopefully to Jensen when they were walking towards the table, a little far behind from the rest.

“So what?” Jensen said like he didn’t understand what Padalecki wanted to know.

“So that i didn’t see you so intersted in someone  as you was in that girl for a long time! You got her number at least?” Jared said making Jensen freeze while his eyes widened. “J…? Don’t tell me you didn’t get her number!"

"Shit.”

afirewiel  asked:

What is your favorite non-Austen period novel? Movie?

Okay I’m gonna do a rundown of all my favourites because making me pick one is just mean. (Also at one point in my notes on the following books and films I just wrote “Bagels” and I can’t for the life of me think what I might have meant or autocorrected that from. Maybe a shopping list started to take form. I don’t know.)

(If the film Miss Austen Regrets and book Longbourn by Jo Baker count as non-Austen then include them.)

Films:

Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India - 2001 (Sports! High stakes! Sticking it to the Colonial Man!)

Mozart’s Sister - 2010 (Beautiful music! Gorgeous androgyny! GIRLS CAST TO PLAY THEIR ACTUAL AGE AND NOT SOME 20-SOMETHING PRETENDING TO BE FOURTEEN!)

Possession - 2002 (I’ve tried the novel, and A.S. Byatt has some beautiful prose but her structures sometimes do my head in, so never finished it. Ignore Paltrow as best you can and enjoy lush Victorian Gothic mystery and the ending is one of the most poignant things I’ve ever been pleasantly surprised with on film, and it leaves you wondering about many, many things…)

Jodhaa Akbar - 2008 (You could put Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in the worst commercial ever made and I would watch it. Costumes, scenery, and, as a friend once put it “I’m not sure how they did it, but they just had a sex scene without any sex.” Bravo.)

Water - 2005 (Deepa Mehta is such a fantastic filmmaker and I loved this whole trilogy but Water is my favourite.)

Elizabeth - 1998 & Elizabeth: The Golden Age - 2007 (The costumes! The caMERA ANGLES!!! The compli-fucking-cated mess that is Elizabeth I.)

[Okay Tumblr won’t let me embed any more trailers, but those ones are easy to find, they’re out there.]

Vatel - 2000 (Any foodie who is also a fan of The Sun King and his era will dig this one. A great score, baddie Tim Roth.)

Alternatively, in the same era: A Little Chaos - 2015. Storyline is a little weak, but it’s so beautiful and the cast is great and the M U S I C. Kate Winslet. Alan Rickman. Helen McCrory. STANLEY TUCCI.)

Also: they’re not films, but TV shows - honourable mentions to the Spanish series Gran Hotel. It’s like a good version of Downton Abbey, only sorta on crack and with a tonne more murder mysteries; and while I have some Issues with its so-called hero and some comparatively weirdo plot-points in S3, overall, it’s fantastic and I’m obssessed. Please don’t mix it up with the Italian re-make which looks horrible in every way. Like, main actors dressed in a poorly-sewn-table-cloth-bad.

And shout-out to the new CBC/Netflix series Anne. I will defend this show to the DEATH, alright? They’ve gone bolder and fresher and have managed to involve period realism in a moving way while retaining the sunshine-and-pinafores element that so many people love about L.M. Montgomery’s work. There’s heaps of women with production credits, and I think it shows. Geraldine James is already my favourite Marilla after one episode, and I feel like R.H. Thompson (HEY JASPER DALE HEEEEY!) and Amybeth McNulty are likely going to become my favourite Matthew and Anne, too. People have complained about this series going off-book and in particular some have condemned it sight-unseen because the writers/directors are putting a feminist spin on it and OH GOD THEY SAID FEMINIST QUICK WE GOTTA SET EVERYTHING ON FIRE BECAUSE CHILDHOOD IS RUINED, but honestly it’s just perky and gorgeous and scrappy and nobody can tell me to my face that Kevin Sullivan didn’t go all the fucking way off-book from the very beginning so I am not gonna sit here and insist that the Megan Fallows Anne of Green Gables was perfection which could never be improved upon because that’s just a plain lie. It was nice and it has its place but it’s time for some new blood. (And NOT the telefilms they’ve also come out with recently with Martin Sheen, bless his heart, but they took a brunette child actor and dumped an atrociously stark box of red hair-dye on her before drawing on her freckles and then telling her to please play everything theatrically to the back of the house even though there is a camera ten inches from her face.) I am HERE FOR ANNE. RIDE OR DIE.

AND NOW, FOR BOOKS!

After that you might assume my L.M. Montgomery recommendation would be Anne of Green Gables and sure I won’t say DON’T read them, but for my money the Emily of New Moon trilogy is more my jam and I wish to God and Netflix in all my prayers that there might someday be a decent adaptation of them.

I was really into Cassandra Clark’s Abbess of Meaux mystery series for a time, but then things went a bit pear-shaped in what I think was the fourth(?) book and everything was OOC and honestly I haven’t caught up on the later books after that and they seem to be self-published now but I am a sucker for nuns and mysteries so I’ll probably get back into it when I have time.

The Princess Priscilla’s Fortnight and The Solitary Summer by Elizabeth von Arnim. Vacation-reads! Beautiful prose, some wry wit, and fun hijinks. If you’ve ever wanted to run away and live in an isolated cottage in the wilderness for a little while, these are for you. [ETA: I recently got my hands on a copy of The Jasmine Farm so THANK YOU to one of you who recommended it I am loving it so far only I don’t see the appeal in Andrew so wtf Terry you can do better.]

Edward Rutherfurd’s geographical history novels–Sarum is the classic to start with, but the others I’ve read are very good, too. (London, New York, and I’m now working my way through a first-edition of Russka.)

Amy Levy. A M Y   L E V Y. Criminally under-recognized Jewish Victorian novelist and poet. Novellas Ruben Sachs and The Romance of a Shop. (RS a beautiful and bittersweet story about the conflicts between love, identity, and expectations, and some would say a response to George Eliot’s Daniel Deronda. TRoaS reading a bit like a less treacle-sweet variation on Little Women, where four sisters try to make their way in the world by setting up their own photography studio in late 19th century London.)

The Making of a Marchioness by Frances Hodgkin Burnett. Colonialist racism appears in this one, so be warned. Still the book is a THOUSAND times better than the utterly dreadful adaptation known as The Making of a Lady. Jane is better, Emily is better, Walderhurst is better, pretty much EVERYONE IS BETTER. The pacing is better. The plotting and suspense make actual sense.

The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy. A classic, and the grand-daddy of every secret-identity superhero.

The Forsyte Saga by John Galsworthy. Like, it makes me MAD how good these books are.

And last but not least, a non-fiction selection in Vere Hodgson’s WWII diaries: Few Eggs and No Oranges. Nothing else has ever brought the experience of living (or trying to) under the shadow of the bombs and the threat of invasion quite like these diaries. Fascinating details, engagingly written, and at times a stark reminder that the Allied victory we take for granted in our history could by no means be counted on by the millions who dwelt in daily uncertainty.

'Grey's Anatomy' Cast Offers Hope for Couples of Grey Sloan | EW

The cast of the ABC medical drama gathered at PaleyFest Sunday afternoon for a panel moderated by EW’s very own Henry Goldblatt. Ellen Pompeo, Justin Chambers, Kevin McKidd, Caterina Scorsone, Jerrika Hinton, Kelly McCreary, Jason George, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr, Jessica Capshaw, Jesse Williams, Sarah Drew, Martin Henderson, Giacomo Gianniotti, and executive producer Debbie Allen revealed scoop about the upcoming Ellen Pompeo-directed hour, whether there’s hope for Jackson and April, if Meredith will finally take the next step with Riggs, and much, much more. Here are the highlights:

Pompeo’s directorial debut: After screening the upcoming Pompeo-directed hour, the actress credited Allen with getting her to direct her first episode. “This force of nature wouldn’t take no for an answer, and I’m forever grateful to her for that,” Pompeo says. Though this was the actress’ first time directing, she notes that she wasn’t nervous about landing the emotional weight of the Maggie-centric hour, but rather just the technical aspects. “I have the best cast in the world,” Pompeo says. “I wasn’t really afraid of anything.” However, Pompeo adds directing herself was “not fun, but I was lucky to have Debbie Allen right with me every step of the way, so when I was tired or confused, she jumped in.”

Maggie’s mom returns: LaTonya Richardson Jackson returns as Maggie’s mother ahead of the Pompeo-directed episode, therefore setting up the episode to heavily feature her treatment for breast cancer — so yes, Maggie will finally be in the know. However things shake out, her mother’s illness is certainly going to affect Maggie. “Major life events like this enable you to shift your perspective and reevaluate what’s important to you,” McCreary says. “For a long time, being one version of herself was the right way to do things.” Judging by this comment, it sounds like she may try to shake things up soon.

The future of Meredith and Riggs: While it looks like the duo might be heading toward an actual relationship, the question remains how Maggie will feel about that since she’s harbored feelings for Riggs since last season’s finale. “Women have to stick together,” Pompeo says. And if Mer did choose her sister over Riggs, Henderson says he’d understand. “I would respect it, but I think it would be sad because all men know that it’s impossible to be a great man without a good woman by your side.” Whether Meredith and Riggs explore a relationship or not, Henderson hopes we’ll get much more information about his character soon. “It’s been wonderful to play a character that’s polarizing,” he says. “There’s this mystery and enigma as to, ishe a good guy, is he a bad guy? … As an actor, after a couple seasons on the show, I’m looking forward to the opportunity for Nathan to be a in a relationship — whether it’s platonic or not  — to see who he is deep down.”

Will Jackson and April reconcile? After a steamy hookup in Montana, there’s hope that Japril might get back together, but Drew stays relatively coy about the future. “I honestly think the main takeaway is that these two people, there’s so much love there, there’s so much respect there, they know each other so well, so whether it continues toward romance or stays platonic, we know these two people are going to be OK,” Drew says. As for whether Jackson’s father, Robert Avery (Eric Roberts) will return, Williams says, “I hope so.” Adds Allen: “We planted a lot of seeds this season, and that’s one that could resonate in a lot of ways, but there’s more coming.”

Can Amelia and Owen’s relationship survive? Their relationship status is currently marked “it’s complicated” since Amelia now no longer wants to have kids, which is basically the one reason the relationship between Owen and Cristina (Sandra Oh) didn’t survive. “He desperately wants a baby,” McKidd says. “Owen’s really struggling. He’s a very tortured guy — he thinks the thing that’s going to fix him is to have a family with this woman, but she doesn’t want to right now. He’s waiting and he loves her and he’s tortured and we’ll see what happens.”

What’s next for Jo and Alex? Though the two have been on the outs since Alex beat DeLuca within an inch of his life, now that Alex knows that Jo was married to an abusive man, he understands why she was hesitant to marry him. “He wants to marry her,” Chambers says. When asked whether he’d like Alex to end up with Jo or with — twist — Meredith, Chambers says, “Anything is possible, especially on Grey’s Anatomy. Who knows? He might end up with Catherine. I’d like to see how it fleshes out, the relationship with him and Jo.”

The relationship at the center of “Civil War”: Ever since the show introduced a replacement for Webber, the hospital has been at odds over Dr. Minnick (Marika Domińczyk) — well, except for Arizona, who has found romance with the new doc after ex-wife Callie (Sara Ramirez) moved away last season. “It’s been interesting, it’s been new,” Capshaw says, explaining that the show got to a point last season where viewers could “happily permit both of them to be happy without each other,” hence paving the way for Arizona’s new romance with Minnick. “I find myself at a point where there’s something exciting happening for her, there’s a newness. This season I feel like is the beginning of creating something new.” However, Capshaw hedges, “I have no idea if she’s the one.” For what it’s worth, when asked what her favorite ‘shipper name on the series was, she says, “I think I have to go with Calzona.”

The future of Grey’s? When asked what she thinks about the future of the show and where she’d like to see Meredith end up, Pompeo says, “Maybe why I’ve been able to do this show for so long is because I try not to have expectations. I do the same thing in my life, I try not to look down the road too far because we’re going to miss what happens right now today… I try to enjoy every moment with an open heart and an open mind… Life will tell me where I”m going. I don’t want to think about what’s next, I want to enjoy this moment.”

Love Triumphs Part 18: End of the Convention

Jared Padalecki x Reader

1150 Words

Story Summary: AU (I love Gen, and love her with Jared.) Jared and Gen have split up, but are still friendly. You, the Reader have recently started acting on Supernatural, and have fallen in love with Jared. Both of you get hate due to the fact that you are much younger than he is.

Catch Up Here: Masterpost

To say you were relieved that photos went well would be an understatement. Each fan, or group of fans were nice and courteous, even when asking for awkward, and sometimes the weirdest poses you had ever heard of.

Soon, you were once again in the green room, Jared and Jensen at your side as you took a little break before the two men went onto the stage for their panel. Relaxing against Jared’s chest, you watched as Jensen strummed his guitar.  "You’re really good at that.“ You told Jensen, feeling Jared stiffen a little behind you. "What? He is.”

“I will, and you be careful on your flight.” You were the apprentice of a well known photographer and later that evening, you were to leave to go to Japan on a business trip for a couple days, “And don’t forget to tell Jong Soo I said hi.”

“Of course. I’ll leave dinner for you on the table, make sure to heat it up okay?”

“I’m not 5, Y/N-ah.” He gave you another kiss, this time booping your nose.

“You’re not, but you are to me. Now go, you’re gonna miss the bus.” Jimin scrambled to find the time on his watch to check the time. You were right. He was going to miss the bus.

“Oh, shit…see you next week yeobo!” For one last time, he planted a quick peck on you lips and ran out the door.

Top 9 Animated Shows of 2016

I don’t wish to mince words.  2016 sucked.  It sucked a lot.  In addition to losing several beloved celebrities, including Alan Young, Alan Rickman, David Bowie, just to name a handful, my family lost two pets in as many months, and dealt with several other personal losses that, I’ll be honest, has really dashed my holiday spirits this year.

It’s been a rough time, but one of the reasons that I adore animation is that it is the window to the fantastic, a mirror of the soul whose only restrictions are the imagination of the writers and artists.  They are my escape, and my passion.  I believe that a good story and good animation can take you on a journey that can rival any book.  I believe that with all of my heart.

And while 2016 definitely sucked in many, MANY respects…It did not in the Animation department.  With several incredible films including  Moana, Kubo and the Two Strings, and Zootopia, and a strong stable of Animated Television shows as well.  And so for this list, I’m going to included my Nine Favorite shows from 2016.  I will also include the best places to watch said shows online, if you feel like checking them out for yourself.

Without further adu:

9) Kulipari: An Army of Frogs

Where can I watch it?: Netflix Exclusive

Why is it worth my time?: A stellar voice cast including Josh Keaton, Keith David, Charlie Adler, and Mark Hamill–just to name a few.  Character designs by Greg Guler, and snappy writing and direction from Tad Stones.  This is an all around strong show that is tons of fun to watch.  It’s biggest weakness is it is a touch formulaic (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing) but the writing, characters, and animation make up for it.

8) Milo Murphy’s Law

Where Can I Watch It?: Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney XD App

Why is it worth my time?: From the creative team behind Phineas and Ferb comes the series about Milo Murphy.  The descendant of Edward Murphy, Milo is a afflicted with his curse.  For Milo, anything that CAN go wrong, always WILL go wrong.  What makes it interesting is that Milo goes about his life crazy-prepared, and with an infectiously positive attitude.  Not hurt by the fact that the titular character is voiced by non other than “Weird” Al Yankovic.  With the writing team of Phineas and Ferb, and a star like Weird Al on your billing, naturally many episodes have a fun musical number.  This show is sure to lift your spirits if you’re just having a Milo Murphy kind of day.

7) Star vs. The Forces of Evil

Where can I watch it?: Disney XD, Disney XD App, Hulu (Season 1 only, as of 12/25/16)

Why is it worth my Time? This fun little show has really started growing the beard since its debut last year.  With an ongoing mystery about Star’s family history underlying the second season, one definitely gets the feeling that much more is going on beneath the surface.

6) Voltron: Legendary Defender

Where can I watch it?: Netflix Exclusive

Why is it worth my time?: I was never a fan of the original Voltron.  It was before my time. But hearing Josh Keaton–One of my favorite voice actors–Sing the praises of this show over and over again on twitter got me hyped.  Nor was I to be disappointed, for this show was a treat.  There’s distinct nods to the Classic show–Which again, I never saw, but I NEVER once felt like I was missing anything important.  Indeed, I enjoyed every second of this show’s first season, and the amazing cliffhanger it left us on.  I never had any doubts that it would get a second season, and I can’t wait to actually catch that season next month.

5) Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir

Where can I watch it?: Nickelodeon, iTunes, Netflix (Starting February 14th)

Why is it worth my time?: I hadn’t heard of this show before a few weeks ago, but now I feel like I seriously missed out.  After after asking some friends, they heartily recommended this French Cartoon.  I dove right into it.  The show is very formulaic, but makes up for it with a great mythology, fun characters, and a downright adorable two-person love square (in which the titular heroes are in love with each other, but due to being ignorant of each others secret identities are in love with the wrong personas, preventing them from actually hooking up) Season 2 drops in May, and promises a shakeup of the status quo dominating the formulaic nature of the episodes, and I can’t wait to see it.

4) Steven Universe

Where can I watch it?: Cartoon Network, Cartoon Network App, Hulu

Why is it worth my time?: This show continues to grow an already impressive beard, and it doesn’t show any signs of stopping.  It’s become rather famous within Nerd Circles for the clever writing, long term plot planning, and amazing cast of characters.

3) Star Wars: Rebels

Where can I watch it?: iTunes, Disney XD, Disney XD App

Why is it worth my time?: This show has been getting better and better each season.  The scrappy crew of The Ghost actually makes me give a crap about Star Wars, in ways I never expected.  As they face down the Empire, while exploring the deep, rich mythology available in the Star Wars Universe.  Bonus points in having some of the scariest villains on TV.  Darth Vader’s appearances on the show actually show why he was an effectively scary villain, delivering a curb stomp battle on our heroes every time he meets them.   And General Thrawn of the current season actually makes me feel like the Rebels have lost ground every time he appears on screen.  Bonus points for fans of the recent film installment Rogue One; that movie is littered with easter eggs and references to this series.  Most obviously?  Look for the Ghost fighting in the battle above Scarif.

2) Trollhunters

Where can I watch it?: Netflix Exclusive

Why is it worth my time?: From the brilliant mind of Guillermo del Toro comes a coming-of-age story that, Quite frankly, is everything I look for in a fantasy series.  This is the show that I want to watch when I think I want to watch a fantasy series.  Starring the late Anton Yelchin as Jim Lake Jr, this show features an all star cast of multi-faceted heroes, villains, and lots of…Grey areas.  I cannot praise this show enough.  It only arrived on Netflix two days ago (as of the writing of this post) and it is one of the best animated shows of the year.  The season finale had me in tears at the end.  And the cliffhanger promises even more great fantasy in the next season (which I very much hope we get, even if del Toro will have to recast the lead due to Anton Yelchin’s sad and unfortunate passing.  Every episode is dedicated to his memory)

1) Gravity Falls

Where can I watch it?: Hulu, iTunes

Why is it worth my time?: Gravity Falls remains my second favorite animated show of all time (Though Trollhunters came very close to knocking it down to third.) and it came to an incredibly satisfying conclusion in the early part of this year.  Creator Alex Hirsch chose to end the show on a very high note, closing all of the major story arcs, while still leaving quite a few mysteries left for the fans to decipher.  (Literally in many cases) This is a show about Family, with amazing writing, awesome voice work (much provided by creator Alex Hirsch himself) and a deep, rich inner mythology, this show will be one that I return to again and again.

And that’s it.  Those are the Nine Shows I enjoyed the most from this hellhole of a year known as 2016.  I hope that these little blurbs encourage you to check out at least one of these shows.  Or even all of them.  And I hope that they bring you the same joy that they’ve brought me this year.

God Bless, and have a Merry Christmas,

~~The Disney Wizard.

Monday

the series read as follows:

Superman

_________________________

Monday was terrible. Mulder’s dress shirt was too tight against his neck; Scully’s nylons itched something fierce and would not stay where they were supposed to; Skinner seemed louder than they remembered and the file folders seemed more dry and sharper along the edges, paper cuts lurking very near in the future. Mulder’s cast banged into every available obstacle, including Scully on several occasions, tripping her up, sending her stumbling into a wall at one point and a door the next. Apologizing profusely from the safety of his office chair, “I promise you, I’m not trying to kill you.”

Smiling at him as she massaged her heel, “I’ll survive.”

Mulder dropped his head to the desk, “can we please go back on vacation?”

“You keep bringing that up. I’m beginning to believe you are not quite as committed to your job as you once were.”

Lifting his head, he looked at her, awkwardly trying to undo his top button without moving more than a few centimeters, “I will be, just not right now. My God, or your God as it were, why the hell can’t we wear t-shirts and shorts?”

As she settled into the chair across from him and kick/slid her heels across the room, “because people wouldn’t take you seriously in your garish plaid shorts and Smurf t-shirt, regardless of how many times you show them your badge.”

“You don’t like my garish plaid shorts and my Smurf t-shirt?”

“Well, no. I meant people in general. I, not being your average person, love your garish plaid shorts and Smurf t-shirt.”

“I like you in my Smurf t-shirt as well.”

Giving him a soft smile, complete with that hint of pink filling her cheeks, quickly rising from neck to forehead, “it is a very comfortable shirt.”

The look went on a little longer than it should have and Mulder broke the building tension with a groan, “the thing is, I can’t even go out and do any real work for at least another two weeks.”

“Minimum, Mulder. That’s the bare minimum. You may have convinced Skinner to let you go do interviews but until those pins come out and you can actually walk and run again, we won’t be doing much else so accept it now or I’ll be eviscerating you ‘round about Thursday because of your whining.” Holding out her hand, “now, let’s see what we’ve missed. Hand me something, please.”

&&&&&&&&&

Monday evening, just as they were pulling back up in front of Scully’s apartment, her turn to play host and their chosen destination for cleaning and unpacking, her phone rang. It didn’t take long for Mulder to deduce that she would be going somewhere and he would be left behind. Once she hung up, she turned his way, “this feels an awful lot like just before we left.”

“Another mass grave?”

“No but I need to go to Idaho while you, my casted friend, are about to get a call telling you you’re need for some profiling up in Maine.”

“How …” was all he got out before his phone jingled in his pocket, signaling she was right and he was gonna be lonely. All the dominoes fell in line soon after that, Scully flying out to one side of the country while Mulder, navigating the airport with his crutches, headed to the other.

As soon as he settled in his seat, priority boarding getting him on the plane first and awarding him ample time to complain to Scully before either of them took off, “why can’t I just come with you and they can email the files to me? It’s not like I really have to physically be sitting at the crime scene to do this.”

She was stuck sitting in the waiting area between a gentleman wearing too much cologne and a woman with three bags and a pursed look on her face. Wondering if she was sucking on a lemon none of them could see, she texted back, leaning forward to get away from both of them, forearms resting on her carry-on, “you know you work better when you’re at the scene. Walking around, looking at things, touching things, it’s when you do your best profiling Mulder.”

Sighing, “I know but I’m complaining because I won’t get to see you for who knows how long. I want my ten seconds of bitching and I will not be denied!”

A chuckle skipped up her throat, forcing her shoulders to jump and the haughty woman to look at her with distain. Scully was okay with this. “Let me know when you’re done so I can complain next.”

They went on for another ten minutes until Mulder sent her a message containing a smiley and a ‘love you … fly safe’. Even though he wouldn’t see it until he landed again, she responded in kind, then slouched back in her seat, happy to see that cologne man had left, her air field clear once again.

&&&&&&&&&&

Eventually, she made it to her hotel a little after 2am, cursing the existence of time zones, turbulence and taxi cabs whose drivers seem to have no idea where anything was in Boise. Irritated to no end, she dropped her bags on the bed, did her standard bedbug check, thankfully turned up nothing then pulled out her phone, “if you are awake, I hate Idaho and everything it stands for. I will not be eating potatoes in protest while I am here.”

Immediately her phone rang, startling her, causing her to nearly drop the thing as she answered it, “Mulder?”

“Morning, sunshine. Having a pleasant trip so far?”

His voice made her smile, which he could hear on his end and it made him happy, “it’s a tad more pleasant now. Why are you awake? It’s 2am.”

“Where you are but where I am, it’s nearly 5:30 and the sun is just coming up.”

Sleep-deprivation and the rough ride made her forget the time change, “gonna be a long day now, isn’t it?”

“Probably but that’s all right. Rather have you wake me up than anything else.” Stretching across his double bed, both bed and body creaking and popping, “so, in all great seriousness, when are we going on vacation again?”

Having already stripped while talking to him and pulled on her pajamas, she laughed, “we need to work a few weeks, build up some vacation time again before we go anywhere.”

“You are no fun this morning.”

Knowing he was only joking with her, she looked down at her wardrobe choice, “well, if I tell you that I’m wearing only your purple Grimace shirt to bed, will that make me more fun?”

“Infinitely. If I ask you to take it off and do things while you tell me what you’re doing, it would be even more fun.”

That worked on her parts quite efficiently but knowing she needed sleep more, she slid under her sheets, still clothed, “sorry, buddy, exhaustion calls but eventually, you’ll get me out of the Grimace shirt, I promise.”

“I’ll hold you to that.” Whispering his good night, he let her go to sleep while he started his day.

Thoughts on Power Rangers (2017)

I loved this movie. As far as Power Rangers origin stories go, this was (overall) surprisingly well-executed.

The strongest thing about it was (as it should be for Power Rangers) the characters. Each actor/actress in the main cast gives a pretty solid performance, and just like the original Mighty Morphin series, Billy endeared to me the most. The story gives each of the rangers just the right amount of focus and character development without anyone feeling more important than the others (at least by too much; naturally, the most focus is on Jason since he’s the leader). And despite the trailers implying it, there was actually VERY LITTLE romance between Jason and Kimberly.

Zordon is not as all-knowing or omniscient as he is in the original series. He’s a little condescending. He’s impatient. He’s a little selfish. AND he’s kind and generous. Alpha 5 is hilarious; after being blind to most promotions in regards to how Bill Hader portrays Alpha, I was pleasantly surprised. And Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa was fantastic and just as cheesy as the Rita that 90’s kids remember. Some of the side characters are underwhelming and eye-rolling at times, but they’re pretty minor and easily forgotten.

The training montage in the middle of the film kind of broke the story’s pace thus far and pulled me out of it, but there were some chuckle-worthy jokes and gags in between. And the writers in this film definitely did their research for some of the Easter eggs; on top of the Zeo Crystal that’s central to the plot and Ludi Lin’s Zack/Black Ranger reminding me a little of Dax from Operation Overdrive, I also spotted some references to Lightspeed Rescue and Dino Thunder. (And according to the credits, Jason David Frank, who played Tommy Oliver in the old MMPR, and Amy Jo Johnson, the original Kimberly Hart, were in the film, though I failed to spot them – if they were even on-screen.)

There were, of course, a few eye-rolling moments and missed opportunities. Some of the classic lines like “go, go, Power Rangers”, “it’s morphin time”, and “make my monster grow” will either have you laughing or cringing, and maybe I missed it, but I don’t think the bully character is ever named; he’s just called “Bully” in the credits.

Other than that, the action was pretty good, the special effects were nice, the music was great (and naturally includes a remix of the old “Go Go Power Rangers” which I’m pretty sure was just recycled from the 1995 film), and all in all, it was just a really enjoyable experience. It made much better use of fanservice than Jem and the Holograms, I really liked all of the main characters, and at no point did it feel “dark”, “gritty”, or “edgy”.

I had a lot of fun with this movie, and I think it’s a great way to introduce Power Rangers to the current generation.

Favorite~ Sebastian Stan Imagine

You waited till Sebastian was done with his interview, waiting by his side. He was chatting with a young female interviewer who kept glancing at you, scoffing a bit. You look around uncomfortably, playing with your hands. Sebastian had taken you to the premier of Civil War as his date. You were beyond nervous, heart beating so fast and your breathing was heavy.

What you hated was being shoved into a dress and heels, you loved all his movies and friends but never being at the premier with every one taking pictures of you.

You are a fan. Of Marvel. Not people.

Biting your bottom lip, blowing a piece of hair out of your face as it landed in the view of your eye. You only came here because Sebastian kindly asked you to be his date, he begged you to be his date. You couldn’t resist him, have you even look at him? He was so adorable like a puppy. Romanian puppy.

You have been with his Sebastian for a month, your relationship new to his fans and the world. Sebastian and you met through Chris, Chris Evans not the other Chris’s. Yeah, the guy that always grabbed his left boob while laughing or grabbing others. Chris introduced you to Sebastian as the shy girl that Sebastian could crack. And he did, he certainly did. He made you be yourself more and open up to him.

You’ve been a fan of Sebastian since seeing him as Carter on Gossip Girl. He was gorgeous and had beautiful eyes. His smile was to die for.

After while seeing each other, just as friends. Sebastian asked you out on a date. He treated you right and then asked you to be his. You were beyond happy to say yes to being his.

What Sebastian doesn’t know is that you have anxiety, where you can’t function without taking medication for it. It doesn’t usually happen around him because he makes you happy. But when it came to meeting new people, it was tough. It was really hard when you met the cast of Civil War, they all were so happy to meet you getting close to you.

The reason you never told Sebastian was because you didn’t want to seem weak to him.

Sebastian was an amazing man, you love being with him, laughing with him, spending time with with him, joking around, cooking for him, waiting him to come home to you etc.

“ I’m sorry about that sweetheart, I got held up more than I thought” He chuckled wrapping his arm around your waist, laying a kiss on your cheek.

You nodded, a small smile on your lips.

“ It’s alright” you answer, meeting his gaze.

“ I am so happy your here with me” he says, one hand in his pocket of his trousers and the other running a hand through his hair. “ I thought you would be home watching TV on the couch, munching on some Recess Pieces like usual”

You rolled your eyes at him,at your free time, you’d watch some TV or Netflix or something to not let you miss him so much when he’s gone.

“ Yeah, well you desired my presence” you chuckled, Seb smiled wide. He loves hearing you laugh. It was one of his favorite things to hear. He reaches for your hand lacing his fingers with yours as his thumb rubs circles on your knuckles.

Chris makes his way over to you two. He was dressed up nice like the usual, he was beaming seeing you with Seb tonight. Along with him comes Anthony Mackie, who you grown to stick around with. He always made you laugh.

” Hey butterfly” Chris greets you, it was his nickname of how gentle you are with everything. Seb didn’t like the nickname for some reason, he shifted on his feet looking at Chris.

He thought Chris has a crush on you but you told Seb many times that Chris was your best friend and nothing more.

“ Hope your having a good time Vanilla Ice and Snow White” Anthony says, standing next to you. “ You look great” he glances at your dress, nodding his head.

“ Of course they are, they are the best looking couple on this premier” Robert joins the group. He was wearing a nice suit with sunglasses for some reason.

“ I agree” Chris says. Seb looked back at you, a smile reaching his lips. He was glad that you came with him to the premier. He was giddy inside seeing you in a dress and your hair done.

He remembers seeing you for the first time, you had your hair in a braid wearing shorts and a tank top that had paint on it. You were painting outside when Chris and Seb approached you. He noticed that you were the most beautiful angel he laid eyes on and that you were piece of art that he needed to have.

When he asked you out, he never imagined you say yes to him. He grew close to you and learned everything about you. He loved how kind you were, how much you loved animals and how much of a nerd you were knowing so much about Marvel.

Sebastian would always talk with Chris and Anthony about you, Chris knows you well but with Anthony, he was excited to tell every detail about you. It was like Anthony could picture you sitting next to him.

You were adorable in Sebastian eyes, his friends could tell how much he cared about you.

He couldn’t wait to bring you tonight, you never been to even like this and having your picture taken by the pops. He wanted you to have fun tonight, he was going to make sure of it.

Chris noticed how nervous you were, he sighs reaching to rub your arm which makes Seb attention on him. He wondered to why Chris was doing this, you were his girl. Jealous grew inside Seb, he held you close to him shooting a glare at Chris. Chris threw a confusing glance at his friend before connecting the dots as a smirk appeared on his face.

He knew Seb was jealous. Through the night, Chris get doing things to piss off Sebastian and it was working. You could hear him growl and feel his intense glance at you when Chris touched you.

“ What are you doing Christopher?” you whispered to him. He motioned with his head to your boyfriend as you were siting down next to Chris and on the other side you had Sebastian.

“ He’s jealous, tonight he’s going to make it special” He winks at you, placing a hand on your thighs just to spite Sebastian. It was working, Seb eyes glanced at your thigh then to Chris. It was like looks could kill.

Seb turn to glance at you then at Chris before he stood up adjusting his suit jacket and running a hand through his hair before he left leaving you with Chris.

“ I think you pissed him off”

“ Just wait” Chris says, before adding, “ I know what I’m doing. I saw you being nervous earlier. Sebastian will unwhine you tonight..”

“ Chris!”

Note : Should I make this in a series?or just a part 2? What would you like to see in the next chapter, if so?

Thoughts on the new Power Rangers movie

Ok everybody… GO WATCH THE NEW POWER RANGERS MOVIE. If you liked the original MMPR series WATCH IT. If you’re looking for a fun popcorn action movie WATCH IT. If you’re on the fence and not sure WATCH IT. Open your mind, embrace the changes made and enjoy it for what it is.

Everybody knew this wasn’t going to be an Oscar-winning movie, nor did people think it was going to rise to the same level of Marvel movies and DC hype, but ignore the critics and the preconceived notions. Don’t let an industry geared towards criticizing movies that aren’t conventionally Oscar-material stop you from watching what was surprisingly a fun movie with great cast chemistry, thoughtful friendships and moments that made your childhood memories almost tangible. And don’t let those that will inevitably compare the movie to the superhero movie giants that dominate the genre today stop you either.

Each actor had their strengths and although their characters were different than the original five you’ll walk away loving them. The development and depth in these characters were surprising good. TRUST. Particular standouts were Dacre, Naomi and RJ. Bill Hader was also great as the voice of Alpha 5.

And on a side note - I’ve always preferred Jason x Kimberly more than I did Tommy x Kimberly and this movie delivered on that front. I know some people in the shipping fandom were a little deflated because a certain scene was missing. BUT TRUST ME, there was something there for those Jason x Kimberly shippers. Something that was well developed, wasn’t rushed, subtle but evident, and promising for the future… should the movie succeed and they make more. I AM HOPING FOR MORE! They do however, need to make improvements if they want this to be a full-fledged trilogy. Either way, GO SEE IT.
